What this part covers
machinesummary, machine-writtenThe guest says the general teaching on modesty is not enough to declare something haram without clear evidence; Mufti Abu Layth says he is not convinced by the report that eating ice does not break the fast.
In more detail
Mufti Abu Layth asks whether the many teachings on haya, modesty, which a hadith calls a branch of iman, are not enough to declare such things haram. The guest says haram is a very big word, and that if Abu Hanifa were alive today he would be declared an apostate; Mufti adds that when Abu Hanifa died some said thank God he is dead, and that there was a difference of opinion over whether he was a Muslim. The guest says jurists of different backgrounds, including Ibrahim [?] and Ahmad, allowed looking at non-Muslim women who expose their 'awrah, so he can say something is better not done and may be detrimental, but cannot call it haram without clear evidence. He says he has found no evidence that smoking breaks the fast, and cites a Companion who ate ice while fasting, saying it was neither food nor drink, whom the others did not rebuke. Mufti says he is not convinced by that ruling and would not say one may eat ice while fasting, but is intrigued that it existed.

in decades to come or not whether masturbation or whatever but it's it's ubiquitous everybody is going to be exposed to here so people are doing this it's like so relevant and so real you know on that note shares though people would say that look you you've highlighted that look there's no nothing in the Quran and Sunnah to declare these things to be a Haram specifically or let's say the virtual distinguishing the virtual from the real but then one could say look but is it not like we see in so
many places within the Quran within the Sunnah especially the concept of higher of modesty and it's a short permanent Eman it's an entire portion of EEMA that you know it'll understand if you have no higher then you can do as you please all these kind of teachings are they not antithetical to to this stuff like seeing like let's say pornography or stuff like this so wouldn't that be what that would that be enough to declare this Haram wouldn't it be enough no I don't think so see Haram is a very
big word both body I used to hear my ancestors use that word you can imagine if my husband was alive today then or Abu Hanifa what could be happening with them they would have been declared a positive today yeah
if he was around today I mean forget that in his day and age he was they actually when he died they said thank God he's dead and they also said like he's going to be punished in the grave and he even there's a difference of opinion whether he was a Muslim or not
yeah so I mean this higher thing is that you know people saying look here's a simple hadith I'll hire predominantly man some people say shot orally man maybe it's even you know a huge part of Iman is higher modesty yeah yeah these these evidences of hiya now we have the Phillips right it has a number three Ibrahim and the high amount Hamas and all of them are from different backgrounds or picked so when they said that you can look and into a norm or non Muslim woman if she is exposing her aura
osmeña can look on on to them without any problem so they didn't see a problem with this this I will describe see you can say it better something is better not to say not to do yeah okay but it better not to do it could have a detrimental effect but if you want me to say that it is haram see I cannot say something has Haram unless I have a clear evidence right if you want if you were to ask me like a smoking break invalidates pop now I couldn't find any evidence I've been searching
for long and now all I find it I'm kind of like I'm kind of in line with that understanding as well as smoking doesn't you know one of the Companions of the Prophet he was was of the view that ice that ice cubes or eyes because ice was not very was not something normal back back in the days in era at the time of companion so he would say that dead i eating i q-- death not break part does not invalidate pass sir he was of the will he say
Ichiro just placing in the mouth other companions of the Prophet would not rebuke him because he would directly take evidence from the Quran that the Quran prohibits eating and drinking so he would say that I it's not neither eating and neither it is drinking so he would eat ice cube during the past so in
Ramadan if you know do you send me that [Music] not only that's a hobby but the reaction of the other sahabas they did not rebuke him you didn't say anything to him right yeah so okay now we know it's like there is just a form of liquid and like it's not it breaks the path but
yeah to be fair I'm not convinced by just hopeful viewers I'm not convinced by that ruling but I'm intrigued by the fact that it existed I'm not convinced I wouldn't say you can eat ice was fasting what he used to eat he used to take evidence from the Quran and other Sahaba did not rebuke at him right because that's how the narration is narrated the the he was we used to he was with other companions and they asked him why you eat that ice so he said take this I so be he said it's neither from eating and on from drinking so this thing and
therefore if there is no evidence I would not just and similarly the issue of having sex during fasting does so any see this is was the thing so vo phenomenal Bunyan well scholars that pen it in the vagina it breaks the invalidates the fact this is the thing which is which is agreed upon but having as a having other forms of sex like oral sex or anal sex the day breaks part does that because it was
