What this part covers
machinesummary, machine-writtenThe guest says the application of Islam is all in the Quran: his group performs Hajj in months other than the usual days, since the Quran speaks of plural months, and Ramadan is fully detailed; he does not rely on the fatwa tradition.
In more detail
Mufti Abu Layth asks how the application of Islam unfolds for the guest, whether salah, Hajj or Ramadan: does he accept any of the fatwa that scholars such as Imam Malik have compiled over 1,400 years, or does he start from scratch? The guest says it is all in the Quran: the guidelines for prayer are there and applications may differ a little, everything to do with Hajj is in the Quran, and he and a group of fellow believers in the Quran have performed Hajj for several years, while Ramadan is fully detailed. Asked on what day they perform Hajj, the guest says it is not on the days of the rest of the Muslims, since the Quran speaks of months in the plural, so it is not the ninth of Dhul Hijjah, and they have performed Hajj in other months. Mufti then turns to salah, noting that the Quran mentions it but does not delineate how to pray, and asks how the guest goes about it.

>> center If you just let me finish points when I'm making them instead of trying to >> listen Muhammad look part of a conversation is you have to understand that the other person is talking as well. It's not this is not a point where you know you know we're not suffering on some kind of spectrum where we have to say well I can't you know we can't have a conversation. It's where two people converse. Okay. It's not just you talk like a robot I talk like a robot.
Right. Look. Okay. Let's move on to to uh something on the minds of many people including me. I'd like to understand how does the whole let's say applicability or understanding of the Jews of Islam unfold then so you know from loads of things like whether it's going to be salah Hajj Ramadan whether it's going to be all of these things how do they unfold do you do you accept for example of the uh Islamic tradition that the scholars have you know for 1400 years been compiling fatwa.
It doesn't mean you have to accept all of it but you accept you know some people's guidance here like let's say I don't know Imam Malik is saying this or uh somebody else is saying this ornah is saying that or do you just start from scratch yourself? How do how do you go about the whole application of Islam? >> It's in the Quran. So a lot of the things in regards to the prayer the guidelines are there the applications can be a little different. everything to do with the hajj in the Quran.
We have me and my group of people like a group of people that are also people who believe in the Quran. We follow the Quran. We've done multiple Hajj for multiple years now. Uh the Ramadan is all detailed. So I'm not sure which your question. >> What day would you do the on? What day would you do the Hajj? >> So it's not on the days with the other rest of the Muslims. So it's >> that says months that's in plural months.
>> Exactly. >> So it's not the ninth of it's not the ninth of you know >> right. >> So you so you could do >> you can do >> so have is that what you've done? You've gone and done Hajj when >> Yes, we've done Haj and we have done Hajj in as well >> out of Okay. you know with salah because a lot of people would understand salah right now it is mentioned in the Quran but you'd agree that the the the kind of uh how to pray would not be delineated
um it's you know how how would you go about and applying that as in the actual salah as in you know I'm starting it maybe you fold your hands maybe you don't maybe you know when to go into rur when to do stand up after you do two sagas or one sagd in sujud. How do you understand all of this? >> This is not part of the salah.
