What this part covers
machinesummary, machine-writtenThe verse cited for possession is about rising on the Day of Judgment, and the Quran as a whole gives Shaytan only the power to whisper and no authority over Allah's servants. Possession would also destroy personal responsibility and let any criminal evade punishment, and Mufti Abu Layth says the claim that jinn can take any form makes the whole idea absurd.
In more detail
The guest says that when he read the books written by Muslim scholars to prove possession is an Islamic belief, they lacked the proof he expected. They cite the verse comparing those who devour riba to one whom Shaytan has driven to madness by his touch, but in context the verse concerns how such people will rise on the Day of Judgment, not the behaviour of a possessed person. Taken as a whole, he says, the Quran shows Shaytan has no such command: he whispers into people's hearts and it is for them to follow or turn away, and Allah says he has no authority over his servants, so a young man who prayed regularly could not be possessed. He links this to personal responsibility, which he stresses against Christian friends who say Jesus died for our sins: if jinn possess people and make them act, the person is no longer responsible, so a possessed man who killed his brothers would have to be excused, and every punishment in the Sharia could be evaded by claiming possession at the time, since no psychiatrist could measure whether a jinn was present, creating a doubt that lifts the punishment. Mufti Abu Layth adds that those who support possession also say a jinn can take any form, a human, a dog, a snake, an object, even the screen or a page of the Quran, so that nothing could be trusted, not even the Quran one memorised from a teacher who might himself be a jinn, which he says reduces the argument to absurdity. The guest agrees and says comparative religion helped him further: in medieval Christianity, when nuns in convents became pregnant, it was blamed on evil spirits, the incubus or succubus.

but I think that somehow in his psychology he's deliberately not deliberately but he is playing up to they like he's feeding off the vibes around here brother if that this happens it is the gin and so on and so he's acting in this way so I started reading the books which explained this phenomenon and I saw that the books which are written by me some scholars to prove that this is an Islamic belief really lacked the proof that I would have expected so for example they want to prove it from the Quran so they take a verse of the Quran that says a Lavinia who know Reba lie Huna in life am i Akuma lady yet a hobbit of shaitana
minimus so they say see this is Shaitaan touching the person with the mass this touch and and you know they're knocked to the ground this is titanic possession but the in the context the verse is obviously talking about somebody who will rise on the day of judgment not not the kind of behavior that we find with a jinn suppose the jinn possessed person on this land so it doesn't really prove the point moreover if the Quran is taken as a whole it shows that Shaitaan does not have a command like this he is as the Quran describes him Olivia was missile feasts to do Rinna's he whispers
into half hearts of human time but that's all he does he whispers and it's up to us to follow his whisperings or turn away from him so he doesn't really accomplish anything and the Quran says quite clearly in Nevada less are they less la colline in salt on as for my servants you will not have any authority over them so how could it be that this young man who is coming regularly and praying and so with us that Shaitaan would have some possession of him like this and what are we then to make of responsibility in my own work of trying to I stress personal responsibility because our some of our Christian friends say
while Jesus died for our sins and I say on the contrary no we're all responsible for our own sins but we depend on a forgiving God and He will forgive us but nobody dies for our sins that would be contrary to the idea of responsibility but then if we say that gins possess people like this and causes them to do things and then the person would no longer be responsible now to transfer go back to the scene that I witnessed at the young man's home when he was violent his brothers like if he killed his brothers in that state those who believed that he was gen possessed would have to excuse his behavior because it's
not him mr. Jin was doing it and and yet the odd thing is that this would question all of the Islamic sharia because it all of the punishments that are mentioned in the Sharia for this or that crime can Kent would have to be alleviated if the criminal just simply claims that at the time I was gen possessed because now now you do not bring a psychiatrist in to evaluate whether this person is criminally responsible because the jinn with the subtlety will be there one one moment and on the next like how would you measure whether the jinn was there or not and that would use great Shuba or
doubt and ashoka alleviates the punishment yeah and to add to that I mean they say people who do support the jinn argument that the jinn can take any kind of the shuttle's so can you come it can be a human it can be an object it can be a dog it can be a snake it can be anything you can just take that appearance it can become that I mean it could be it could be a screen so the screens we're seeing right now could be a gene it could be a page so a page in the Quran that you've been reading could actually be a gene I mean it becomes ridiculous it becomes preposterous that
well how do you trust anything how do you not know that all the piron's in the world today that we memorized that weren't actually Jim how do you not like it becomes the whole argument just becomes so mind-blowing at an ad absurdum level because how do you know anything that how do you somebody could say yeah but I was taught the Quran by a teacher but how do you know that teacher wasn't a chin and then his teeth this could be a whole great gin conspiracy yeah exactly so yeah so when I when I looked at all of these details I I wasn't aware of some of the details you mentioned Sheikh about some people thinking that they you
know they jinn might even be a page in your Quran but but but I saw enough to real from it and and realize that no it cannot be the case plus I knew something from comparative religion that that helped my understanding in this regard you know in in in in medieval Christianity they there did there was of course monasticism and so monks lived in in their own Hermits and and the nuns lived in the non Aires and and yet the nuns were becoming pregnant so how did they explain this well they said well the jinns did this so they call them punk you buyer or suck you buy I don't
