Mufti Abu Layth does not believe the Prophet said the second-coming hadith: about eighty percent come through Abu Hurayra alone, who learned from the converts Ka'b al-Ahbar and Abdullah ibn Salam, and some of his reports appear elsewhere as Ka'b's words from the Torah. No such hadith comes from Abu Bakr, Umar, Ali or Uthman.

In more detail

Hassan Ali asked whether the Prophet said these things; Mufti Abu Layth says he honestly does not believe the Prophet said these things about Jesus coming back. He asks why almost eighty percent of the hadith on the return of Jesus come only through Abu Hurayra, and about half of those through a single narrator, al-Zuhri [?], so that counting many chains means little. He recalls that Abu Hurayra learned from converts, Ka'b al-Ahbar and Abdullah ibn Salam, travelling to Mount Sinai to study with Ka'b, who taught him from the Torah while he taught Ka'b what the Prophet said. As an example he gives the report, which he thinks is in Sahih Muslim or Musnad Ahmad [?], that the harshest of the ummah against the Dajjal would be Banu Tamim, a tribe known as hard men, as a pre-Islamic poem on the name Tamim shows; the same statement appears in other books with a chain going back to Ka'b al-Ahbar as his own words, not the Prophet's. Since Abu Hurayra narrated hadith rapidly and continuously, what hadith scholars call sard, those writing from him may have taken everything he said as from the Prophet. A second example is the famous report in Sahih Muslim from Abu Hurayra about men holding the tails of cows and women dressed yet naked who will not enter Paradise though its scent reaches five hundred years; Imam Malik, whom he calls a don, brings it in the Muwatta but stops it at Abu Hurayra, and in other books, such as Ibn Abi Shayba [?], it goes back to Ka'b al-Ahbar, who converted in Umar's time, beginning 'I read in the Torah'. He asks where the great companions are: not a single hadith on the return of Jesus from Abu Bakr, Umar, Ali or Uthman, while Abu Hurayra came to Islam three years before the Prophet's death and Umar threatened to beat him for narrating so much. He does not say whether the mistake was Abu Hurayra's or his listeners', but suggests that of twenty things he taught, two learnt from Ka'b or Ibn Salam were written down as the Prophet's. He then turns to the principles Hassan Ali mentioned.

their points but what I'm trying to say is who deems who to be the the majority minority is to do with how politics plays out and how power positions play out over era over time so so he asks a question share Hassan Ali did the Prophet say these things I don't believe the Prophet said these things about Jesus coming back I honestly don't now yes you've got plenty of happy but tell me tell me something why are 80 percent almost of these hadith only through Abu

10:52

Hurairah Ravi al-amin did you know that that almost 80 percent of all these hadith to do with Jesus coming back or just through Abu Huraira so you know when they say we've got so many hadith they just all going through Abu Hurairah and about 50% of them are just going through one person even if she have Zoey so you know when they keep saying we've got so many tens and tear or car stop counting the hundreds I got it's the same thing they're just going through the same person and I will show in my detailed video did you know things look

11:30

guys here's an interesting point did you not because we all know abhava Raina used to learn a lot from comforts he used to learn from cat ba ba ba he used to learn from Abdullah bin Salam to the extent I needs to think so highly of the above radar of the alarm and spent a whole day at Mount Sinai he traveled thee and he studied with Kabbalah ah he says in the hadith he was teaching me from the Torah I was teaching him what the Prophet used to say did you know there's a hadith check this hadith out people they say hadith that Abu Huraira transmits from this one I believe it's inside a Muslim as well but or we might

12:10

sorry this one might be Muslim Ahmed but I mean the chamber at this stage is irrelevant but it's from Abu Huraira to the Prophet saying that the most harsh of my ummah against that the gel will be bunny to me the tribe of Tamim yeah like because bunny to me was seen as like kind of hard knocks back in the day so they used to kind of have this thing about them that way kind of hard knocks and stuff and you know in that famous poem the guy says what is the nasty Tamati lied to me me Danza he goes in the might of the people it kind of completes with to me because Tama means to complete and Tamim comes from the

12:49

word Tama this is why isin a c10 my aletta Mimi and that's part of the poem and so the thing is that look they had this thing that they used to think we're done xand they're really strong and stuff so this Abu Huraira says I heard the Prophet say this and this is in the books of hadith that they will be the strongest in fighting the Dajjal yet yet Oh naughty naughty the same hadith this thing is transmitted in the other books of hadith image with a chain going back to Kabul Akbar cab there was the comfort converted to Islam not as a saying of the Prophet as

13:27

he is saying he says you know I like from the Arabs I like to me Bunny Tamim and he says that you nobody Tamim they will be the harshest against the jail you see and you have to remember Abu Hurairah I used to sit and he would teach hadith non-stop like this like subtle hadith they call this in our V Seldin hadith he would just go 1 2 3 4 and then he would talk as well maybe the people writing it from him would think everything he's saying is from the Prophet maybe the people from them would think that I'll tell you another one

14:07

guys this one is gonna shock you right check this out you know the famous hadith about that there will be women who are dressed yet naked and you know this famous hadith everybody's heard it right and that they will be in the Hellfire and they will judge Jenna paradise will be forgiven for forgiven forbidden for them and you could smell paradise from 500 years of a journey of something very famous hadith right so this hadith is in sahih muslim from abu hurairah that he heard the prophets saying he heard the prophets say that

14:46

they will come up people who men who will hold on to like the tails of cows right and women who will be dressed yet naked and they will be from the Hellfire and they will generally forbidden for them even though you could smell it from whatever now imam malik you see my Malik is a Don people he brings this hadith in the mosque table but he stops it on Abu Huraira now people don't realize the wisdom in what Imam Malik was doing they think oh he brought this as a hadith he brings it and stops it as a statement of

15:26

Abu Huraira now people say yeah but this sounds like I did now it does until you find in the other books of hadith like I believe even a bee-sh aber and other people have brought the hadith with the chain going back to Kabul a bar cap discomfort who by the way doesn't convert in the prophet's time he was around in the prophet's time but converts in almost time he the chain goes back to him he begins by saying and I read in the Torah that and then the exact same wording of

16:04

the hadith that a time will come when men will hold on to the tails of cows and women will be dressed yet naked and gender will be forbidden for them and you can smell Jenna from five hundred years from the Torah he says not from Allah and His Messenger so look people yes this hadith I know this hadith but these are the eighty percent of them are just coming through Abu Hurairah where are the great companions ways Abu Bakr where is Omar do you know there's not a single hadith about Jesus coming from Abu Bakr Omar Ali Osman any of

16:44

these people you telling me the great companions never knew the Akita abu huraira rody allah one who comes to Islam in just three years before the Prophet passes away yes he spends time with the Prophet yes and he must transmits he non-stop transmits and Omar Odion told him off said you know what he's actually said I'm gonna beat you if I see you continuously transmitting like this because he says you say things which I've got no idea where did you get this stuff from and he himself admits learning from other people now I'm not saying whether the mistake was from him or whether it's from people after him or

17:22

listening to him saying ten things or twenty hadith sorry not hadith let's say there's 20 things that he's teaching and they think all of them are from the Prophet but maybe two of them weren't two of them he picked up from and Kabbalah bar or from abdullah bin salam from other people but the people writing it just write them all as one so so anyway i hope that makes kind of sense now the other thing that share Hassan Ali mentions he he mentioned some principles I'm going to skip some of these to go into I think it's it's worth discussing

18:01

his principles he says I would like to fair play to him though he said about each man and stuff this kind of stuff is always debated and motiroti he does make a point in saying he feels that in motiroti any hadith can be made into art either - correct - correct the chef now according to the Hadees and the motto leaders who make up the bulk of the Sunni Muslims that is not true okay only firmly established hadith like so many what they do call whatever you know this discussion on what Awad there was actually an updated discussion first had nothing to do with hadith it was even a
