What this part covers
machinesummary, machine-writtenMufti Abu Layth says that the controversy over 'holes in the narrative' is one Yasir Qadhi landed himself in deeply, since he never offered a response or clarity at the time beyond suggesting people take his course. He expects critics like Jay Smith to chase him over it because they know he cannot answer it. He jokes at length about Yasir Qadhi wanting Muslims to popularise the word 'ultracrepidarian', saying it shows he has lived most of his life in a library. He says he respects him for saying he holds a different view and for raising awareness that there are some forty views, but is disappointed that in what was meant as his final word he again evaded explaining what he actually believes.

wouldn't probably agree with their way of doing things so that all is fine and i agree with that however as to this i don't know what to call it really this tragedy or this crisis that has given birth to this whole thing of holes in the narrative [Laughter] you know the ummah was well on its way
it was reasonably fine and yes he's done a quite a decent hole here so this holds in the narrative the truth is that yasar khadi has landed himself in it and he's landed himself deep you know this hole it goes deep so the problem is he's never offered a response or any clarity at the time he did a pathetic job of trying to say well come on my course
and buy my course and i'll explain what i'm doing it's like so that made zero sense and it's you know it is what it is you know he made that bed and he now has to lie in it this he won't unfortunately be able to to kind of outrun this this controversy and it's only expected that people like jay smith who i agree with him are not you know necessarily so academic and things like
this but i think it's only expected that they will ride this wave and chase him till his last breath probably on this holes in the narrative because they know he's not going to be able to come with anything to answer it so in this clip as well we yes said look i'm going to lay this matter to rest now this is my smackdown uh they are the bloody hell i've forgotten the word already what's the um [Laughter]
bloody hell i've forgotten the what's the beloved word he told us [Laughter] anyway somebody type it in here right so this uh you know trying to say well these people are just so ignorant and blah blah blah and when it came to giving that's it ultra crepitarian rather ultra crepitarian and he wants the muslims to popularize this word
has he spoken to regular muslims they're like what's up kazi brownie yummy you know the ultracrypterium bro winnie he wants them to add this word to it i said anikazee i said ultracrypterion
people will be like what is that some is that like a dinosaur [Laughter] ah this word when i heard him saying i want muslims to popularize this word i realized that has clearly just for the most part of his life just lived in a library [Laughter] ah you gotta give it
a small d all [Music] so yeah so i think shaykh assad should have honestly given some explanation now i do respect him for saying look i hold a different view but he didn't clarify exactly what his view was he then went on to say there's 40 different views and i accept there's loads of views i accept and i'm glad he
is at least raising awareness on that but he's not really he ought to just try and lay this matter to rest or come out with and explain to people at least what he believes to help them to to kind of because he's he made this video and said i won't be discussing this again and you think you haven't even explained anything you just said yeah there's 40 views yard i'm not with that view i'm with the other view the british rather the garage bring bring a bottle of water to the garage anything
this is like why doesn't he answer the question i mean i don't get what the like say something for god's sake since this is your last smackdown at least share some view don't just say yeah you know war water water water i mean come on there's more to it than that so so i'm disappointed by him once again evading the question so yeah some people had asked me that mufti you know about this nature of the quran issue i have explained it before i have got a little video i did have some notes some very brief kind of written notes i shared with
some people so i thought look i'll share them here i'll share them here and just to you know if they're of any help so right now because according to me um and i this is why i'm grateful he has highlighted some diversity look it is true there is diversity in this how muslims understood revelation to me the quran has always been dynamic there is a dynamism to the nature of the quran and there are layers to this i will briefly give an overview so some people may at
