What this part covers

machinesummary, machine-written

Mufti Abu Layth reads 43:61 as the Quran being knowledge of the Hour, as Hasan and others said, and cites 5:75, 21:34 and 43:59 against a return: Jesus ate food and was subject to natural laws, no human before the Prophet was given eternal life, and Jesus is called an example for the children of Israel alone.

In more detail

On the verse Qadhi calls the strongest, that Jesus is a sign of the Hour about which there is no doubt, Mufti Abu Layth says Qadhi admits only that Hasan disagreed, whereas Hasan, Sa'id and others all said the verse speaks of the Quran as a sign of the Hour since revelation ends with it, which Mufti finds makes much more sense; he adds that the word 'ilm means knowledge, not sign, so the Quran contains knowledge of the Hour. He says Qadhi, who promised an academic discussion, does not disclose the verses that negate a second coming, and gives three. In al-Ma'idah 75 the Messiah was only a messenger, messengers before him died, his mother was a devout woman and both ate food, so they were subject to the natural laws that afflict human beings. In al-Anbiya 34 Allah says he gave no human before the Prophet eternal life, a verse which he says Imam al-Bukhari and several imams used to argue that Khidr cannot be alive and which Ibn Kathir and others cite, so he asks how Jesus can still be alive. In al-Zukhruf 59, two verses before the one Qadhi recites, Jesus is only a slave whom Allah favoured and made an example for the children of Israel; Mufti asks why, if Jesus will achieve what no human including the Prophet Muhammad achieved, world peace, the disappearance of disease and negative emotion and lions grazing with gazelles, he is called an example for the children of Israel alone rather than for all humanity. He begins on al-Ma'idah 110, where Allah lists ten or eleven blessings on Jesus without mentioning a second coming.

Mufti Abu Layth holds that 43:61 means the Quran is knowledge of the Hour, as Hasan and others said, and that 5:75, 21:34 and 43:59 count against a second coming, since Jesus ate food and was subject to natural laws, no human before the Prophet was given eternal life, and Jesus is called an example for the children of Israel alone.

In his words

“notice that this is actually a verse to show that jesus will not be coming back”

if you think about it that the entire revelation will now end makes a lot more sense than rather saying jesus is a sign for the hour first of all doesn't even mean sign right so elm means knowledge of the hour the quran contains information it's revelatory detail about the hour now what he doesn't do is cite verses that go against the second coming of jesus he doesn't highlight that so as you can see here there are three

1:25:53

verses i've brought up first first of all this verse in surah ma'idah verse 75 since keeping in mind that big d said this was going to be an academic discussion then it's only fear that he has full disclosure shows the verses that negate a second coming but he doesn't do that so this first verse in suramar 75

1:26:20

he is not a that the messiah was but just a messenger even messengers before him have died his mother was a devout woman that they would eat food that they were would partake in the law natural laws of this world and that means that whatever would afflict human beings would afflict them they were not deities

1:26:57

look how they get distracted and go our legislate look at the verse in surah ambiya 34 we have not given any mankind any of mankind before you eternal life you know if you are to die today would these people live on forever imam buhari and several imams use this verse to say can't be alive today because of this verse ibn kathir and all these people bring it

1:27:33

tell me how is jesus still alive then is this verse allah saying we have not given any bashar before you and an etern an eternal life to live on so here's this verse now this third verse in surah 59 is two verses before uh the verse that yasir the bigote himself recites and he says that

1:28:10

this is why the strongest verse in the quran is referring to jesus because two verses before it mentions this verse now notice that this is actually a verse to show that jesus will not be coming back why you ask me allah says in the quran in surah 59 that jesus was just the messiah was just a slave who we favored and we made him an example

1:28:49

an exemplary role model for who for bani israel tell me something if by the advent or the coming of jesus according to this second coming claim jesus will go on to achieve that which no human not even the prophet muhammad sallallahu alaihi islam could have achieved he will achieve global world peace he will human emotions that are negative will disappear diseases will disappear the nature of animals will change they will no longer be predatory

1:29:28

the lions will gaze with the gazelles the snakes will not attack the infants there will be so much opulence and wealth in the world no human in history has ever achieved that no human in history has ever achieved that but jesus will accomplish it why then is jesus not here mathelan why is he not a muscle for entire humanity why for bani israel he's going to go on to achieve what even the prophet cannot achieve according to this claim so

1:30:12

now then there's this verse allah says 110 remember my blessings upon you when i did all of these things for you now note in these 10 things that allah quotes or if you count them as 11 if you separate some of them allah does not mention a second coming even though that would be one of the greatest blessings ever since jesus is about to accomplish world peace which no being in history has ever achieved and this verse where allah says that
