so what is going on what is going on let me just uh before i just keep speaking to myself bring up the chat there is this is the uh this alright that's the youtube youtubers you're doing it people let me just bring up the facebook jamaa as well people the facebook jamaa where are you guys all right there you are frowdy adam
much love people much love much love so abu safura doing double salam triple salam let me bring my big mug of coffee here right god reading that saying size matters ah the gym what has it been now god it means it's now just like a vague memory
oh i'm suffering i'm suffering so what is going on people inaudible people's peoples what will we be taking a look at today quite a few topics lined up let me just bring this slightly closer to myself quite a few topics lined up um well i'd like to go over do an overview of or an afterthought on the discussion
with dr abdul majeed from luton um so i'll share my thoughts on that i want to tackle this question as well what is my agenda [Laughter] not like not that anybody who has an agenda ever admits to it anyway peel b in the name of uh
transparency and honesty and all those other amazing qualities i will speak about what is my agenda habegia agenda agenda so let's uh you know lay out the deck um i also want to discuss this thing of uh the hadith kind of ripple and boomerang effect that is created or what i have referred to as well as the bounce effect um it was it came up in the discussion with dr
saab and i've spoken of it previously i want to speak a bit about that and about hadith and evolution i want to present an an idea so people buckle down uh in addition to that what else is there oh right somebody had sent me a clip of dr omar faruq abdullah discussing docetism rather within christianity and speaking about the uh speaking about the crucifixion of christ and how um there was a
a kind of uh basically trying to say that it wasn't jesus that was crucified it was a look like and yeah so i want to shed some thoughts on that as well shed some light on it yeah and last but not least sorry as well i will be taking a look at as well uh um those of you that are familiar with his name the the green turban
and his fatwa breakthrough fatwa on snowmen on building a snowman so let's take a look at all of this tonight and sorry last but not least uh below it dawah man and his guideline people the usual i know it's come up before but we've got to discuss it again because it was circulating again uh the insights on intimacy rather rather there's apparently a course that darwin does so um so we're gonna take a look at that
so people a hell of a lot going on man a hell of a lot going on right so what is happening karima karima you're doing it you're doing it right so people's first and foremost let's see what have i got [Music]
i thought well cello let's keep it simple and always in speaking of uh major matters um oh good afternoon i was hoping to speak to tess please oh right okay uh it's test tickle [Music] uh testicle [Laughter]
i'm so sorry sorry all right so people important matters first speaking of important matters somebody had sent me um a a clip oh afternoon it can be hard for parents within the lgbtqia plus community to find a word that they feel comfortable being addressed as children
so here are some examples nope nori karen what the hell is wrong with this girl and cece you can find more examples on the website how was that what the hell was that people that 12 000 of you are following me thank you so much i love you
seriously what the hell was that people what the hell was that i honestly don't understand um you know knowing tiendo nintendo what is going on maybe some of the the uber woke folk can explain it but uh i don't i don't get it man you know the people are just causing so much confusion i see all these things uh nowadays i don't know whether it's just on social media or is it in the world like that as well or is it just what we see on social media and you know all this
oh um i i watched something where teachers were saying you shouldn't really refer to the girls in the girls school as girls or something like you should refer to them [Laughter] what is happening to this world honestly and i've read something that the um what was it the um the royal i mean i'm trying to i don't want to misquote which
society but it was a i mean a top accredited well reputable society the british medical um right but i'll have to find the quote again but that they had sent out an email that they were actually that their suggestion was you stop referring to women as that were pregnant you should replace the term not as pregnant women but as pregnant people
i honestly don't know what's going on with the world is this what preoccupies the the mind of the of the conscientious i don't know man what is happening what is happening seriously this things are we forget that look we are part of nature we ain't different you know we ain't something sure we're in you know an an intriguing amazing anomalous aspect of nature but we are still part and parcel of nature just i don't know right so what
is happening what is happening people what is happening let's take a look at some of this stuff right let me just bring up uh laughing and joking too much and becoming accessible that was our beloved abdul rahman hassan but that's not actually that just reminds me because of that page i did have one job becoming it was a uh i'd come across the announcement a friend of mine rajwan faraz his father had passed away
just very recently he had seen it on social media you know may allah have mercy on his soul may allah grant him and anybody who's passed away in this pandemic may allah grant them but may allah also grant their family ease here as well it is very um i was just speaking today with some people about it and i was just saying that you know the i see that you know coronavirus
it is um it's kovid yeah it is like a russian roulette isn't it the spectrum of it it's like russian roulette with a full you know magazine with an ak-47 many slots just are blanks most are pro many are blank uh some people uh what will what what it will do is it will miss many people it doesn't even infect children which is amazing but i'm saying it doesn't it'll miss
many people it won't infect many people many people it will and they'll just have a mild flu many people it will and they'll have a horrendous flu um and then some people will just kill and it's like just you know it's just a roll of the dice there's no um i mean there may be some determining factors but it's not clear you know it's not like oh it only happens to people it could you could be healthy strong everything and it just gets huge just luck i mean although it's not very lucky but luck really that i think that's just
whoa but yeah i was also learning about one of the features of um koved it was saying that for it to be for it to successfully infect it relies on cholesterol which is quite fascinating so it was saying people with low levels of cholesterol or people if they took certain uh if they were taking certain medication that was that was uh diminishing their cholesterol levels it wasn't as successful so i i found that very i was just reading
that today actually so i don't know what that's i have to say all of these things just make me think more that this is you know what when i read this kind of stuff i feel um this definitely came out of a lab and it was definitely it was you know bioengineering tweaked because it seems to really be targeting because it doesn't you know the fact it doesn't attack children which is a blessing but it's amazing because a virus wants to infect its host but it doesn't with children
and then if it relies on cholesterol it would be targeting a you know indiscriminately but a a first world population for the most part or obese especially america i mean america's it so uh countries with obesity and things like that whereas and that may also explain why some of the poorer countries haven't been hit as hard because the cholesterol even though they may eat cholesterol but they may counter it with one other dietary aspects and to the kind of hard work
and poverty the access to that level of cholesterol even if it is to some people it's not as equally you know man it's not a sedentary sedentary lifestyle so you have to kind of burn that so it balances a bit of the um the cholesterol levels but i don't know i don't know man i wonder what will come of all of this in the future all right so i yeah i mean right what's going on my perfumes
i do have a uh a a passion for for perfumes i have to say um i was just trying some earlier on today i'd from the le preview of christian dior christian dior so um that was the ombre nui i was trying that out i mean not for me it's more kind of feminine i don't know i found it more feminine but i was just checking it out hmm it's actually quite uh i didn't expect it to be good but it's actually quite nice i have to say
hmm impressive anyway let's uh focus people let's focus let's move on so mufti can you talk about wasim yusuf who is wasim youssef who's wasim yusuf uh i don't know who that is somebody's asking can i do muta abu safura saying look can he do muta with an atheist [Laughter] i mean what difference does it make for the atheist the atheist is like what
say what do what this ah somebody we need to help help the brother out you know the brother rather you have to wait for the intimacy tips that we're gonna get from uh dawah man towards the end so workout tips don't i'm gonna i'm gonna just kind of you know relax i'm just gonna start crying [Laughter] i haven't been able to go to the gym for what now successfully for about like it's almost coming to about two months do you know what the the agony and then the weird thing i'll tell you something the weird thing
is that you see when you stop then easily you seem to get sustained injuries it's weird like i um after covid i started like once i got better i started doing just push-ups at home and i was doing them every day and then i had kind of like across here i don't know like i'd done something to i don't know what it is a tendon or what but i was like ah that hurts so then i had to rest that so now it's coming to about two weeks and that's kind of better now and i'm thinking bloody hell
you know you go to the gym every day nothing happens you don't go to the gym for about like six weeks or or five weeks and then you do some push-ups at home and you start getting injuries and injury this one not nice my friend so people people people uh be honest from from heart be honest from heart man are you and this info agent at this info what's at this oh disinformation as in i am i here to spread conspiracy theories no no not at all uh i you see i i do question certain
things though there's no harming look the covet thing i'm telling you as a fact that came out of the lab from the wuhan lab that is a fact you know the level four only biotech level 4 lab that china has just 20 minutes from the wet market came out of it i can i can swear on it but the question is did it come out maliciously like was this a great plot i don't think so i think it accidentally kind of came out somebody accidentally got infected and it spread
but they definitely were engineering it i because they've been working i mean this isn't hidden just google uh wuhan lab and coronavirus in 2018 they had some breakthrough because of the engineering they were doing on the corona virus uh kind of molecular set uh structure and so i think they've definitely been engineering it it just sounds engineered you know what i mean the fact that it doesn't strike children the fact that it aims to kind of hit wealthy opulent people affluent people it's you know it sounds um you know maybe china was preparing it
for the future you know saying don't worry in [Laughter] we future you so they were preparing it and accidentally [Laughter] somebody said oh very long day i go wet market what happened i flick myself with the blick not to worry it's not dangerous [Laughter] it's 20 yeah my year
yeah yeah 2020. then next thing you know oh the world's locked down right so that's uh pretty much i think how it happened so people what is going on spectrum asks a question he says mufti my older sister has always asked why the quran is so centered on men and not women for example four women are needed to
witness if something happened if something's happened has it happened has the guy gone as he got oh bloody hell just one of you can you get three more please i need to know whether what time is it can there be four of you please [Laughter] okay so first of all speaking of disinformation the quran doesn't say four people uh four women need to if anything's happened um it speaks of two witnesses two females when it came to female female when it came to transactions
and writing about money that was being given as a debt whilst traveling so unstable circumstances and money is being given and i've got a video explaining that and it doesn't say because they uh you know something that they lack something or that they're stupid or silly or you know unreliable it doesn't say that it says that should one get misguided
and that is sophian's kind of explanation as well that you see it's because money and i've got a video explaining it money um it was very likely that people may renege on their kind of promises they may intimidate witnesses and it was easier in those societies far easier to intimidate a single woman than it would be to intimidate a man a single man now hence if there were two women it would complicate that process a bit so that's um and that so it's only to do with that otherwise one woman
is equivalent to one man it's not any different as the hadith says in that women are the counter equaled to men but the other things i think are different you know things like um um you know right so the quranic um kind of discourse or it's hitab it's its nature of addressing is usually to the male pronoun and that
right whoa kind of disappeared there for a moment that's not uh islam that's humanity humanity has really kind historically um for most of humanity that has ever existed it has been patriarchal in the sense you see nowadays people use patriarchal to mean obviously that a uh like malicious i don't mean it in that sense i mean just neutrally as in the it was the the leaders were generally men
um not always but for the most part now that's actually anthropologically that's an interesting question why is it like that why has i regardless of religion we're talking from you know neanderthals and when they were coexisting with homo sapiens right down to to now for the most part of the world men have dominated in society now a question is why it and it's not actually you know what at first sight it seems like it's an easy question
say well easy you know it's duh but it's actually not because when you look at primate behavior monkeys um now it's many primates are also kind of uh male centered in that sense matriarch sorry patriarchal but some uh are matriarchal so you will find um um in in the case of
ah bloody hell i'm having a brain freeze what's the uh bonobo in the case of bonobo monkeys uh you will find that they are actually matriarchal and even if the men are bigger than sorry men males are bigger than the females but when they try to bully them like let's say the male tries to bully two three of the females will get together and they just beat up the mail but then bonobos are not really violent either so it's interesting you know because bonobo
are as close to homo sapiens um as chimpanzees right so what is it about um what is it about 97 point something but and they both at a similar kind of distance but differently and the question is are sapiens more towards bonobo more towards chimpanzees because chimpanzees i know you know chimpanzees kind of they look you know when you see them in movies or you see things they look kind of cute yeah you know oh this is kind of monkey they're so clever you know it does all these things and it's kind of cute and sometimes they dress them up or
uh but they are actually vicious creatures they are not like cute you're they literally rip each other to pieces and they they're so violent and aggressive you know if they come in contact with somebody that's a non-tribe member they they will literally do things like gorge the eyes out jump on stamp on the the other primates face keep stamping until they kill it and they're very and they will get the young and rip the head off the young you know they're very violent it's not
it's weird because you know you kind of grow up with this you know that chimp is like a cute oh it's like a you think yeah i wouldn't mind that as a pet a little chimp walking around but it's not that they're actually very vicious in their natural habitat whereas bonobos are kind of like the uh librarian version of them they're very um not aggressive um they're very relaxed they're matriarchal they they're very intelligent emotionally very intelligent as well uh they're hypersexual hyper
like i mean um you know the ill casual practices are three four times a day they're very and they and that's one of their practices to always spread peace so they've done experiment you should read actually franz uh franz uh franz de waal and his studies on he's a primatologist for many decades and whenever they kind of unleash these primates so if they have a chimpanzee and they unleash a new group it's war instant war you know if they encroach on their territory it is war a declaration of war but bonobos
when they come encounter they'll kind of just be a bit freaked out like not for like they'll be a bit hesitant and they'll kind of come closer and then they'll just kind of like pet each other and and then they'll just have this one big kind of orgy i'm not joking and and then they're just all cool it's like yeah and they're just good so the question is that which ones are humans more kind of in line with in terms of uh personality traits well well that's the question
anyway i don't know why i digressed onto bonobos so people what is going on mufti any more plans to make more muftis like your type go by rationality and reasoning like an academy islamic world needs more like you shukran shukran much appreciated i dearly appreciate your um because that in itself is a you know it's an acknowledgement so right i explained previously may have been last week why i don't really see myself going into something like an academy
making an academy or you know founding one or being part of it i mean being part of something is different as in if you just teach there but establishing something because it sucks the life out of you and you know it's not my style man and you know what it is it does it makes you a it kind of takes away your liberty to freedom of ideas and freedom of speech it shackles you chains you in this kind of uh
yeah this kind of slavery to the institute you become a slave to it for its longevity and it is true maybe after you've passed away it may produce people may do maybe even whilst you're alive but i mean you could teach people anyway whilst you're alive but this even after you've gone uh maybe the academy produces people but i don't know you know can't videos produce people can't um books produce people you know what why become crippled with something like that because then you
everything is that institute and i i spoke at it about it at length and i gave the example of sheikh hamza yusuf and zetuna which is incredibly successful as an institute in fact i chose it as probably one of the most if not you know the most successful muslim academy in the west and really i just see as even though it's great but what is it ultimately you know i don't know like what is what's so great about like i don't mean to dis what sheikh hamza has done but what's so great about it like yeah you'll produce you know some people will
come out with a degree and and what what does it do like yeah you know you'll shape some people's thoughts but you could have shaped their thoughts by giving lectures in fact you could have had a much broader reach if you just taught online so but people will be like yeah but it's my legacy you know in all honesty nowadays the way these things work um institutions you no one person then owns that institution okay those days you know like how it works in the east it doesn't quite work like that in the west with corporations and board members
and this and that and and a good example is like remember the thing that happened with the ustad the osama cannon and the whole leaf thing and and i'm not don't want to bring that all up but i'm just saying when it came you know and push came to shove they threw him you know under the bus and they went on whoever the the new you know people were the new administration to take over and yeah and i and i've seen it believe me i've seen it i've seen it happen you know there's um i've uh i remember just just
there's been a few examples but especially in the west islamic stuff you can build it make it up and then something could go wrong and people will just debunk you and they'll just you know they'll just take over and it'll carry on like a corporation but why why give your blood and everything to its soul to it but yeah that's my thoughts on that a bit do me gloomy but
yeah and i think um i think the biggest problem is really the two one it sucks the life out of you and two you lose your freedoms to be true to yourself and three you can't live a proper vampire lifestyle people so how can i contact mufti sahib x muslim x x people x [Laughter] i was watching something where somebody said uh what is it why do they call
themselves ex-muslim it's a you know and they were saying well because the truth is an x never speaks well of you yeah because that you see the irony is you're still trapped in the thing by being an ex-muslim you're kind of the name says it all you're still trapped until you don't give that up multi what is your view on religious education when should it begin age what should be the curriculum focus
what should be included in good islamic education program especially for children turn and talk podcast you do in it turn and talk you do and uh let me know about your podcast as well reach out to me and let's chat if it's interesting and i don't know what the kind of things you discuss but maybe we could take it to mindtrap so uh that's a very good question religious education when should it begin you see these things i don't know if i have the answer i could have an answer
but i honestly won't know if it works well because i you see to me i feel that it's okay bringing children up with just a general kind of like they have that identity affiliation to islam they know basic things um you know they may hear them from you they may hear them from where they you know go to class as a kid or you know whether it's at home or at the is
you know like quran school or wherever they but i i don't feel that you need to yeah of course you teach them how to read the quran i think that's important you teach them how to recite salah let them whether you do it at home or whether they go to a class and learn it but how to re you know read the salah and things like this but this is basic stuff and basic knowledge you know you'll learn the the primitive version there's five pillars of islam this is you know story of these prophets this is this
and that's to me i think that's kind of fine it depends you know like on the environment some people they um may be able to teach their kids an advanced amount of i don't know like let's say arabic and all kinds of things i mean i don't know whether it would one i do think that's hard as well if you're not um speaking arabic all the time so or not speaking arabic so it's hard for kids to but kids can pick it up if you try if you're strict with them they can
but then i'm not sure what whether they would retain that because how how meaningful is it to them in their lives it's it's obviously not meaningful they just see as you know i'm doing it because i'm going to get in trouble if i don't do it so they memorize something and then they just three years later will they still know it so to me i think it's okay just leaving it kind of very natural stroke casual except certain things are taught and they can practice like salah and how to recite the quran reading it and things like that
fine and i think you know stories and that are just casual stuff that they but when they get a bit older then maybe teaching them things about islam and a more deeper insight that's what i'm thinking but i see once again i don't know like somebody could say well you know they did that and it was a disaster and somebody could say well you know they did it and it was a great success and it does depend on the children as well because the people you're speaking about are individuals with individual personality and context and circumstances and you know so there's so much in this kind
of to calculate for so it's a difficult one i have to admit it's a difficult one right so there were some super chats i think i may have missed some uh salaam the epicologist rather people the epicologist has asked salaam can i do tiamom during the winter season as my cough gets ridiculously bad even if i touch warm or hot water the cough worsens
ah go on then what the hell do it man just do it man just do it not like your salah's gonna be accepted anyway uh i'm messing or am i [Laughter] ah don't worry about it do you see a mom if you need to do them you can do it look it's in the quran tiemoue is there as well okay so if you have an excuse it's your excuse to judge nobody else to judge you it's your call um somebody said
can you explain [Music] we'll come back to that regarding quran surah 66 verse 1 why'd you prohibit yourself from allah is made lawful
still got it let's take the hadith about this aside if the messenger himself is not allowed to declare things haram or impermissible then how did the ulimus justify jewish prudence and fatwa you see the verse doesn't say because the prophet himself we believe is a legislator the verse doesn't say that you felt the ruling changed it says
that what you turn what's permissible into impermissible tabtari mardata that you it's not because of the ruling that you're saying this to make them to kind of console them and it's telling the prophet about that that you know this otherwise if it comes to if it's about the actual ruling changing then the ruling would have changed if the prophet feels but here the whole point is that the prophet isn't changing the ruling and it's not about the actual
thing the question at hand it's more about just trying to console someone and that's what it is and you see the other thing as well there's a difference and i'd like to layer that with this statement there's a difference in when haram becomes halal and halal becoming haram because you see things being halal are by the law of defaults
and that is an incredibly powerful law so that's saying things like innocent till proven guilty and all of these things are an attachment of that things are always pure until they become impure or things are this law of defaults known as iste in the usual especially going to the malikia and others this is this you see things are permissible by default making them haram is is a big call okay whereas it's not the same the other way are certain things that are haram
you see things when they made haram they made haram for a reason that reason if it disappears the ruling disappears whereas things being halal are not halal foreign and everything on earth by default is always halal until proven haram so you see when it says about why do you prohibit something which is so securely based in in the law of defaults as halal that too not that you believe in it but just
in an attempt to console so that's the kind of lesson in that verse but i think that's a good a very good question multi you missed my super chat i meant large uh i'm trying to get to it let me see is is prophet shaib jethro now i'm not sure if
if he is obviously 100 but what they tend to say is that the the priest the high priest of midian that moses goes to in the bible is referred to as jethro and so the assumption is jethro right are there any you know demarcating factors as well or just i haven't looked into it like that i've not to be honest i've not had an interest um you know nothing's kind of piqued my interest to to kind of research into the the
similarities the overlap and distinction between the character of jethro in the bible with moses and tribe both face value they seem to be the same person that is being spoken of um but i can try and look into that i've not really looked into it nothing's really intrigued me about it previously jeredy ah jerry d people what this one the jar with a small d [Laughter] right so is the hadith says the prophet said anything that intoxicates in small amount is haram authentic because
bananas and water intoxicate in large amounts [Laughter] you scientist you you that's what the prophet was talking about bananas and oranges and their ability at 0.05 or whatever is percent alcohol or 0.5 alcohol to intoxicate right that's um not what the prophet was talking about at all
okay look alcohol where it says the question the debate here is what is kathir as not as in what is kathir means so the hadith means what that drink which much of intoxicates a small amount of it is equally haram but here when it says much of what does that mean that means what it much of in terms of what is casually drunk as much of
so for example if somebody drinks you know let's say on average one or two mugs of this that's all they drink that's like the casual the general drink that people have like it let's say it's like people go they have a pint and then they might have two pints okay now this is what the cathedral is referring to the cathedral is referring to that which much of in terms of the what is understood as normal consumption of that drink it doesn't mean much of as in if you
drank an entire lake or you know if you drank an an ocean worth of or if you drank even if you know if you drank 100 barrels of something it doesn't mean it like that nobody drinks like that in one girl so it's talking about that okay that which in one context a lot of it would intoxicate a lot of it as in what casually people drink as a normal lot of that drink
so whether it's two pints three pints like that okay but not um so these things they wouldn't even you know even if you got uh orange peels and these kind of things and they do have that a small amount 0.5 percent um alcohol in the skin and things like this but even that kind of we wouldn't intoxicate a person that's why many of the ulama say even the salafia that like or they mean has a clip i've played it in the past saying up to three percent alcohol is not people's three percent three is it three
so uh yeah hope that explains mufti can a woman become an imam ifrah mo if you're doing it you're doing it look at these people and imama in the making right there mufti can a woman become an imam if not why can women and men pray next to each other if not why and why they can pray next to each other in kaaba why
this this one's coming fully prepared well i'll just bypass all of that by saying look she can become an imam islam is concerned but then imamship has certain interactions it's it's a working it's a working model it's not something which is just a theory part of it is a representative in society that gives a sermon now
if your society accepts that then fine if your society does not accept that then it's not going to work as an imam because if in that society people don't accept it then you know it's going to be a problem even though it's not it's it's not inherently invalid the other thing is that the imam leading the salah yeah once again it's permissible the salah would be valid it's not usually done and i i think it's rather obvious why it's not done
so yeah that one this one no not nice but uh yeah that's that's the kind of reasoning behind it but uh cool okay let's move on soleiman shah says uh suleiman shah's question is kind of just gone people oh there it is mufti you've helped me out so much in letting go of the cult behavior love islam more and more by the way my friend is asking if sugar babes are halal
you want to eat right so what is going on move this up different creation myths in different cultures and islamic narratives the universe creation what's your thoughts yeah definitely i feel that look um it's true that i feel that there's a common kind of origin to a lot of these
creation myths and some of them may be metaphorical i mean many of them may be metaphorical but um they may have had some essence to them so the concept of adam is in many um many kind of cultures obviously not just the biblical traditions but also adamu from the uh ancient um i believe it was uh the ancient sumerian sumerians had kind of passed down the myth as well and so i hmm i i definitely feel that there's you know that there's an
uh connection here okay and even when you think about it um some of the the ancient hindu narratives as well ain't actually that different i mean they in several things they are but still yeah and and i think i've spoken of this in the past that adam in um
in if if looked at from a sanskrit perspective meaning ancient it's actually quite intriguing [Music] that could because one thing i don't buy that adam has arabic roots it's just later on it's made to match arabic roots but it's not an arabic word and where did the word come from so that's the question you see and i don't think it's uh hebrew because the the you know the the whole adamu
preceding the story of the biblical adam so i would assume that this word is of a foreign script that is then kind of taken biblicized and also arabicized as well but could it be that its origin was sanskrit i'm not saying it is but i it's interesting it could be why not i mean um i don't know i don't know let's right so
is worshipping idols halal do people actually worship idols like idols it's if they do that they have to be i'm surprised they haven't gone extinct [Laughter] they have to literally be mentally stupid to do that aftab said you missed my super chat let's take a look people after taking a look right here the epicologist after salaam of the speaking of education i know you're very educated and have the credentials
rather but are there any other institutions or scholars today you would consider today for yourself being a muslim are they what but are there any institutional scholars today you would consider today you would consider today for yourself being a mufti am i am i having a brain lapse or i don't i don't don't understand the question what's going on is it me is it the question is it speaking i know you're very educated but are there any other institutions or scholars today you would consider today for yourself
being a mufti as in would i consider going studying this is that what's being asked would i consider them being epic is that is that being asked i don't stop trying to trick me into thinking i'm i'm suffering from some kind of mental lapse here you guys are trying an experiment on me let's see what else is going on are you ever going to try psychedelics or cannabis charity don't you worry about me man
don't you worry man these are journeys these are this is what i call the path and we are all those who walk or we should be those who walk upon the path so what is going on mufti can a woman become a musty yeah a woman can become a mufti i want to become a mufti and give rulings and insult [Laughter] karema you're doing it you're doing it right that's not why one should want to become a multi to insult people i know i do it sometimes
but that was not how i set off upon this path um you know it's good to see honestly it's really good to see that some people have an interest in this stuff it's amazing you know we ah we're this field is so [Laughter] you make the person the emotional you know you know look this this thing this field this legacy
is really um it's a it's a it's a dying breed it's something that is a uh it's an endangered field and species of itself really it's amazing how certain things within the dunya sometimes can cast a light on i mean recently you i i spoke about and you guys probably remember that bollywood actress sana khan marrying a mufti and she probably did for mufti ship overnight what the mufti ulama
couldn't do for centuries [Laughter] the power the power that women have this [Laughter] but it's true i mean you know people were like whoa wow i want to become a mufti and it it's it's amazing that just the thought just the tight just being in the public sphere just this this idea of becoming a mufti yeah you know and and a lot of it is the fault of the ulama as well you know they don't do any favors because
obviously they turn it into something so rigid and horrible and boring who wants to become that yeah but you know i uh i want to speak about my give my afterthoughts on the discussion of bukhari gate but just getting to that following that discussion there was a um somebody sent me a message so they sent me on patreon um oh let me just take a moment to say my patrons ah you know i usually say miss patrioncitos
right which is just spanish for saying patrons [Laughter] somebody used to think this was who's this girl that most is always saying miss patrio on sitos [Laughter] so that's just patreons my patreons miss patrion sitos okay but so my patrons out there much love to you guys but somebody sent me a message on patreon and he said you know mufti i watched your thing and i really appreciate it and you know i signed up to your patreon thing and i'm not saying people need to sign up but
obviously if you are i'm not going to stop you [Laughter] but you know look i get it i get it everybody you know this world is a everybody's struggling in their own way and i'm not saying you need to but you know this this message had an important feature to i mean this point what the person had said you see one obviously the appreciation but two it's it's bigger than that and it's not just about me it's not about me you see the problem is that this field isn't invested in
and people are not enticed and they're not supported either to become let's say talented or really to excel so let's just say let's as an example let me just give an example now let's say i do this is just me i do research yeah my research is you usually like sporadic and spontaneous like one day i might hear something i might watch something i might think something and i might just go off into it like now somebody's asked me about jethro as an example let's just say now i think that's an interesting question let me
follow it through and now it just turns into a quest i will stop i'll be up for hours i'll kind of like be you know searching this i'll oh what's this what's this what's the i'll try and think of things i'll uh just kind of like cast a net and random questions oh what's that what's that and you'll kind of just ping ping ping and and somewhere you'll hit it and you'll be like oh that's interesting oh well what's this then you'll open another tab and you're reading this and what's this and you'll be reading now this is an example of researching going into something anything even like now
let's say i i've i did this bukhari there will be you know days nights you'll read question count a question come up with answers okay you're kind of trying to fight your own answers to come up with better on like so try and critique it and there is an effort involved and don't get me wrong it's a for me it's a passion i i do this because i enjoy it but it is true that it's not easy if people generally don't have the means to do it or they're not supported or they're not appreciated or they're not and you know
i suppose my lifestyle alhamdulillah kind of facilitates but let's say other people and that's the problem this field doesn't attract talent so people with talent don't you know they don't gravitate towards because there's no money there's no support there's no anything in this field of religion or islamic religion i mean you could especially if you want to think out of the box there's nothing you know if you want to be just something tag along and then maybe you know if you've got something about you but and that that this is why you know this person said this so it just reminded me
about that the importance of of why there needs to be support and i'm not saying this to you know to to most people maybe they're not in positions to really ever support these kind of fields or support people but yeah i think maybe some people maybe and these are it's food for thought it's food especially for future generations as well how what about them and yeah so that's the issue but you can anybody can become a a mufti um you know but it does require going through the studies and then you
got a soldier through it because you know it's gonna it's gonna frustrate you annoy you and you have to remember the institutions you're going through a lot of them will be very dogmatic so you have to kind of hold you have to hold hold because you know you can't break you understand and people because they'll be very dogmatic institutions and it's only once you come out the other end then you can kind of do your own thing um all right so earth is motionless and flat
and tanasa equals satan and that's isaiah who's super chatting that shukran isaiah you're satan so people what is going on let's take a look at uh let me just do a quick check on what the can you guys just who ban who
um yeah karima says look mufti i've read sometimes some nonsense scholars have written about women it's very disheartening yeah it is and you know my advice to you is you know if people say if you read something or if you hear something so there's two two kind of um feeding um i don't know there's two feeds into this one is contemporary people and they're just you know people who are saying misogynistic things and stuff like that they're just mentally handicapped for some reason like we
played last week a clip of danny boy why and why he was very you know his hatred for women and i don't get why he hates women even though you know he's he's secularly educated and been to harvard and he's obviously you know he's intelligent you wouldn't have got through harvard if he's not intelligent but seems to be so weird as a person just hating and misogynistic and and i don't get that and you get people like that but remember these people are don't let them hijack your islam and then the other feed is traditional feed
now you know traditional you've got to go a bit easy on traditional because you have to remember that people in the past weren't doing this in a sense of hating on women today some people maybe i mean some people may have in the past but generally they weren't that generally it was just the way the world was the world was in that kind of way that they saw things very pragmatic they saw things very and everybody kind of accepted that and they you know the men accepted women except it wasn't this kind of thing like uh you know how uh jordan peterson says in one of these
um he says that to a particular feminist he says you know you you portray as though historically men have always been subjugating women and torturing them and punishing them and he says and that's just such a lie and a horrible thing to say to young women today because the truth is in the past that men and women were just barely surviving disease poverty you know all this kind of just just societal uh torture war pillage and it wasn't that the men in that place were trying to
suppress the women in that place it was just they were just trying to survive and the men were usually trying to provide food and which would have been very difficult as well in the past you know either if you didn't grow crops you had to trade or you had to hunt or you had to it's it's not what you see the point is it's not this thing of they were sitting around as some kind of oligarchs uh looking down on women in the past it's just the way the world was it's just nature like they just societies were that way and they saw it that way and it doesn't so when you read things of the past just
know that this is their day and age this is not a reflection it doesn't um you know it doesn't capture or imprison islam within it it's just the way they reflected the light of islam so islam you know it's like the sun shining and this is their reflection of it and in our day and age we've got a different thing to reflect the light that's coming from the sun and that's how it how it is and you know this
speaking of that i've got an example this is from uh hassan al-khabib you know the great he's he's uh he's a was a great scholar and questionably he was a maliki from north africa in around tunis modern day tunis and he's uh a a sidekick of uh ibn abi said al-qaeda but he's also one of the major people who transmits the uh bukhari who has the main manuscripts and i spoke about that in my book the muslims one of them is kabisi and he was blind uh as well for i think most of his life or or maybe all of his life but
definitely for a huge part but he has this masa this masala let me share this with you and he's asked about a person who marries a woman for uh 70 dinars so he's 17 gold pieces here for the so he paid up front
can mean money but also up front as well means he pays up front 30 dinars gold pieces but then the wife dies before he can consummate the marriage before he can take any uh pleasure in the relationship so so what's going on here so he says
um so the uh so who so he's kind of giving this lengthy response saying look did the father
prevent it um did he not allow him because if not and because the whole thing it's titled it's titled you see halakat zolja tohu that his wife has died before consummation you see the thing is the problem is if like if you read that now the whole discussion is that his wife has died but it's before any intimacy could happen so you're thinking well okay and then the whole discussion
is on does he get his money back [Laughter] so this is the whole that you know you're thinking well hmm she's died that's a problem but the greater problem you know i gave a uh i made a down payment on this one so [Laughter] awkward guys awkward but uh you know i know we're getting ready for the janaza but
hey don't want to sound like a party pooper but like okay we're getting ready for the janazah okay is it is it on your mind as well are you you know is it just me or we all thinking are we on a level here what's gonna happen about the maha that i've paid so now you know if you read that uh if you read that you would think look you know what the hell is this
but you see this was something being written about almost 1100 years ago about you know between a thousand to eleven hundred years ago even if you say a thousand years ago but that's still you see the world was a different place don't judge those peop don't judge today your understanding of islam if you read something like that that's just the day and age you know the guys you know saying yeah she died okay you know ah you know he's saying stuff happens i guess but
uh you know guess who still got the receipt [Laughter] he's like at the gynazah going whoa it's like almost missed out there but yeah so what is going on right some mufti you missed my super chat if from
i don't see i see ifraz and i see uh salaam it's me jawad ah joe what do you do in it you doing it all right i wanted to ask your thoughts on beer nasirud nasir kelani hope is that who we're talking about i'm not sure if if that is who you talk about very respected uh piersab um from modern day pakistan and he's passed away now obviously a while back but i'm that's where his
his um khan is i believe it's in bindi somewhere but yeah yeah he has huge huge respect a widely respected authority amongst the broad a spectrum of uh sunnis yeah so right what is going on people right let's move on to these uh let's move on to a discussion about uh
bukhari people bukhari buhari so those of you that didn't watch bukhari gate went down we had a discussion unhinged or unhindered you decide people you decide so that was with uh just bring it back up up with dr abdullah abdul majid from luton it was a very lengthy conversation um it spanned about five and a half hours the whole thing and it was seriously i i thoroughly enjoyed it
i just want to say so i want to begin by saying that my you know much love to dr sab for really coming on for showing a lot of love and respect i think whether or not dr sab answers uh the challenge of let's say of bukhari gate in speech marks put that aside but you see doctors are definitely diljitliya you know he he won our hearts yeah he seems to have great character
and uh definitely i enjoyed the banter i enjoyed discussing um it's already been watched so so much i think it's it's been what just a couple of days now and it's been uh it's probably had about 18 000 views already so you know for a five hour video what the hell but it is it was an amazing opportunity and even you know before going live the off screen was a really good vibe and i enjoyed that so that i am very grateful to dr zab for for coming on and you know doing that my actual
thoughts on the discussion that happened is uh let me just see here right my actual thoughts on the discussion are that i think um i right i don't feel that it in any way um [Music] i don't feel that in any way buhari gate is um has been kind of put to bed at all if anything it further kind of establishes the arguments that
have been raised by this um if you want to call bukhari a challenge or an idea or whatever it is but it's a challenge i guess it definitely to me it just concretized and further cemented the the queries and and the challenges raised by bukhari gate because to me bukhari gate and i mentioned this at the beginning of the the dialogue you see there's three aspects that i'm looking at it from and i've put them in poll the poet that the phenomenology
the ontology and the epistemology peoples you think just you think just i say to you i think these are fake books behind me so the phenomenology being what the phenomenon of bukhari is today as in it's deemed this wow this impeccable uh transmission you know this huge this this super quasi-divine authority that we have then the the ontology what the book
contains the essence of it lies in the topics within it and obviously it doesn't it doesn't contain everything but in fact most of what is in bukhari is just regular hadith you know oh the prophet prayed this day or the prophet did this should give charity this happened you know it's just and many things very nice you know great teachings you should tell the truth you should be honest you should smile you should do this you should treat parents well all these amazing teachings are in bukhara there's nothing wrong with them but there are some
that are problematic massively on huge on a huge scale that are cancerous and those things need to be recognized and rejected so that's the ontology and then there's the epistemology that how does this book reach us because if we can't establish with utter certainty which we can't that this book reaches us exactly from let's say source a which is allegedly imam bukhari himself so then if you've got doubt
in that even if it's five percent doubt but if it's doubtful in it reaching back to the imam then or some doubt in it then you need to be especially careful about those teachings that you find in it that um contradict reason or the quran or the prince or the principles of islam then because this has got some doubt in any way you need to walk away and that's what imam malik taught about the one-on-one narrations the isolated narrations they snatch the deen from you so that's the um that's what bugatti gate is now
our discussion with dr sab i went through a brief overview we initially kind of discussed what how do you treat bukhari what what how sorry how do you consider it is it something which is conclusive and and then from there the discussion followed into um the epistemology i didn't i i did think that before going live that dr saab was going to uh offer more resistance on the epistemology which i was prepared
for of course but there wasn't really any resistance which was quite surprising to me to me not that it's a problem it's i mean it's absolutely fine but i'm just saying i thought that there may be you know some a bit more of a um yeah a bit more of a pushback i guess against some things and i was intrigued how he would or anybody would give that kind of a push back because this thing on manuscripts and the transmissions you see it's very hard for people to learn it as well and even these people who go on like
farid gangutili and these people they they they don't know this stuff they don't know it and because it's very complicated and it's like you have to learn so much and you see and the more you learn i don't think they want to learn it as well but one it's hard anyway but the more you learn it it kind of creates doubt in the thing so but in this discussion dr didn't really um resist that he just kind of went um just kind of engaged it um seemed to acknowledge it which is fine i was trying to prove that look first of all
hadith comes to us through isolated sources they through these sources there is a uh what we can call a punctuated equilibrium that there's certain places where there's a burst okay and this burst happens with these kind of nexus points for these powerhouses they are these people that from them so it's coming along and then there's this burst this person is like this huge powerhouse that boosts out loads of you know loads of people take it from him that person is called a muslim okay somebody who's like a major he's this major person giving
these chains and and these major muslims for buhari who have it's their manuscripts that get relied on they you know there ain't that many there's probably over all this time i don't know like a dozen that's not that many considering you know it's been so long you know we're talking almost a thousand years now my point was demonstrating how there's been so much each they had along the way scholars have like they've they've taken a look at variants and then they've
chosen now if i'm looking at let's say i look at three variants and one of them disagrees and the other two say something one now i have to it's my call i have to make a call and then i say okay i'm going to choose this one over that one you see all three can't be right and that goes to show that one person is already transmitting something erroneous and it could be that sometimes it could be that maybe that person actually got it right you know i'm just saying you don't know i mean there's uh an interesting uh you know i digress but i'll mention it because it's beneficial there's a
story mentioned by a salafi actually contemporary i think he's quite young as well actually um what's his name he is something badget or something i don't know something budget but he's in saudi i i that's what i understood i've seen one two of his things on youtube it's interesting he gives a story and and that's the story is definitely interesting
you're doing it right so the he mentions the story of that in his uh when he used to study in i think medina university or wherever that there used to be these two abdullah that used to and they had similar names so whenever people would speak about them they'd get confused and say which one abdullah which abdullah you know this one or the one that and one of them used to live in the accommodation one of them used to live privately outside of the the kind of premises so what happened is they used to say oh
which abdullah you know oh the one who lives in the dorms oh no the one who lives out so they just shortened it eventually to because they say you know abdullah the uh you know the one who's in the second in the dorms or the one who's outside and then the one abdullah became abdullah ii so they just started calling abdullah dorms this is what they started calling him and then he says you know we start calling abdullah even the second like in arabic you know this son of but it doesn't mean son of but ibn it can mean of as well so they usually even dunya abnormal rocks and so on so even the second
we should call him ibn ii now even the second is also the famous muhaddith who transmits bukhari one of the students of now he gives this example he says once we were in class and we were reading a hadith and the hadith is in bukhari and it mentions that somebody hands the prophet a handkerchief just a casual hadith it says and it says
it says somebody gave him the handkerchief but he didn't want it and he says and our uh you know in the second abdullah in the second he said no don't you think it should be falam because the spelling would look the same yaruda is to return it reject it so the person saying they gave the handkerchief and the prophet didn't reject it you see now the meanings are entirely opposite here yeah now even though the orthograph the orthography is the same
now what's interesting is he says that when i i was reading in fat albari commentary and he says hua bis akun he didn't want it and he says he says that and ibn ii made a mistake when he said it was with the but obviously is talking about that in a second but uh you know this doctor says what a coincidence the guy saying here was also ibn sakhan and so the mistake is the same but i thought i'd just share that little story and
yeah so the the the whole point of why i'm trying to say this is that you see all these people can't be right so there's definitely people choosing and they could get it wrong you have to accept that right so that was the point on epistemology and how it reaches us and then we discussed uh themes the ontology of the of bukhari and here i think really this was an entirely a very slippery slope uh for for dr sabo or anybody who jumps you know on the field on the slope it's very difficult to maintain your balance
and sustain your position because the hadith are very blasphemous and they're ridiculing in nature and they're embarrassing you know the ones like moses running naked or the prophet touching women or the prophet being bewitched and becoming clumsy the prophet forgetting the quran and and these kind of things really denigrate from the honor of the prophets and yes so here dr saab did try to defend it he tried very hard uh was adamant about his positions but
i i think that it was embarrassing but i think it's embarrassing for anyone not because of dr sab himself but i think anybody who tries to defend these topics will struggle to do so immensely and to me i would sum it up by saying you see what it proves simply see it proves my point it really proves my point because what you're saying in essence is that you know the prophet could forget the quran the prophet could be clumsy the prophet could forget surahs
and verses the prophet could do all of these things but bukhari could never have made a mistake and you see there you go and with that i rest my case because in essence that's the argument that one walks away with that you know if the prophet of god you're saying could do these things isn't it more deserving that bukhari and these transcripts along the way in fraberi made these mistakes isn't that more obvious but uh yeah so that's the the summary of that but it was an amazing discussion and i'm very grateful to
um dr saab for accepting that um yeah so here i'd like to say a few words on my agenda what is my agenda okay and in that discussion with dr sab it was raised a bit with dr abdullah because at one point we spoke of the bashar awadh and he's and he says oh but bashar also refutes people and i go into this uh you know secularists in the arab world and i you see i want to clarify something
i am not and i've never been and none of my videos have i been anti-imam bukhari i to me imam bukhari right was somebody who you know he spent his life studying hadith and he was a great scholar of hadith and i'm not i've never denied that i've never said he was a great scholar of hadith i did say in the debate that look his book was just mediocre it wasn't this amazing book that later on it became but he himself was an exceptionally talented individual i'm not denying he wasn't the best the best in his day and age
there were people much more senior to him like him and all these people but he was still outstanding he was in the heavyweight league there's no question about that and i'm not you know i i would never tolerate swearing at him or things like this you know people just because there are people in the arab world especially and some from the indo-pak world who have accused imam bukhari of being a kafir of being a hypocrite of being a hidden non-muslims india who you know he has this great conspiracy
to forge these hadith to defile the prophet and he's doing this as part of his evil he wasn't a prophet and he wasn't infallible and you have to remember the book that comes to us from him 100 of it is probably not from him but maybe 90 of it was his maybe 80 was his but the whole book i feel has definitely been kind of played with along the way and then people have been adding to it and you have to remember sometimes they do it with good intention and i'll explain that in a moment that not all you know not all
interference is evil people say oh so oh so was it uh evil uh uh you know is it an evil plan then no it's not you know it's uh it's it's it's not an evil plot but people sometimes with good intentions they kind of you know they they miss the boat and um yeah so and let me and i speak about in the that so there's people like you've got let's say and these people may have been making mistakes and then after him his students moving around may have been making mistakes so and then after them people that came
may have been making mistakes and so you have to remember this so much before it gets to us so i'll give you an example the common truth the main sahil bukhari used in morocco and these places today in the western muslim world is based on a manuscript called of binsaada and the this bintsa ada manuscript that they rely on was is called the sheikh as well they call it the sheikha this was actually it had actually disappeared and resurfaced something like 400 years later as in and they don't know who wrote i mean
they okay there's some ideas that some person wrote obviously not the author himself but what what's happened in those 400 years with this manuscript i mean did somebody make some mistakes somewhere like this is my point you don't really uh you can't say with certainty so when an issue comes which is to do with kill someone or an issue comes with you know saying something about disrespecting the prophets you nee you need to back off and recognize that this has come to us with many faults anyway right so okay i hope that explains
and gives a summary but overall i definitely thoroughly uh enjoyed the discussion if you haven't seen it i do advise that you do watch it it was um it was amazing so yeah definitely that said now i also like to uh right i'd like to extend a challenge people challenge
this is a challenge i'd like to extend it to bra those of you that don't know um is part of the sunni defense the um which fareed used to be a part of but he isn't anymore now right so what's happened is um
right a little while back abdullah mata's made a video refuting boharigate okay and he says he's he he's very confident that he's answered all the questions so this is my challenge uh i i am challenging but what this means what the challenge means simply is i'm extending a an invite an invite to a discussion okay um i to come on to mindtrap let's have a discussion it will be
respectful there will be that kind of as much as i can i will try and make you comfortable i you know i won't be disrespectful in any way can be passionate but let's do it what say you abdullah because abdullah i i don't think he's right now is with farid but i think they've kind of had a split or maybe they still collaborate on stuff i don't know um i'm happy more than happy to have farid gangutilisab
on mindtrap but in all honesty i'm a realist and i know harid is never gonna come okay and i admit as well that with farid there is a certain amount of bad blood now i accept that because look you know farid went about made so many personal videos about me he called me a kafir call me zindik a hidden non-muslim who deceives people by being a muslim he made loads of mis uh attributions of me like look i'm mocking the dead he kind of took that clip where i'm
speaking and uh where i kind of smirk but he the photo he puts is of me laughing my head off like at the at the dead people and he says oh my god look he's laughing he made this other uh he made this post calling me um something nothing to even do with me about lgbtq but bringing me into it and saying so and obviously i have uh uh consequently given him the title gangutili and i've also kind of made some entertaining uh video displays for him so i think there's enough kind of um
uh i think there's enough bad blood uh between us but i'm still happy if gangutili wants to come i'm more than happy but i i can see that not happening one i know farid i suppose you know however he is he's obviously not stupid and he knows if he came on this one not nice you know it'd be too embarrassing for him however abdullah mata's look there's no bad blood between us i've you know there's nothing this is like a fresh kind of engagement so i extend this to you inshallah if you can within the next 14 days let's make this happen
okay so um you reach out to me i will accommodate accordingly it's very straightforward and you use all this streaming software so you're very familiar with it i'll bring you through on skype we're gonna have a discussion on bukhari gate you've already made a video about it i think it's about over a year old or something answering it so it should be straightforward and it'll be courteous but i hope that this challenge is taken up and i'm using the word challenge just because in your video it was kind of like a it was kind of termed it was like that that's what was being given off so yes i hope you
don't kind of uh shy away from me but let's make this happen yeah so abdullah and those of you that know him i will cut this out as a separate segment send this to him let's make this happen man mine trap bakari gate let's discuss it's good to talk so right okay now right yes so yeah that's that's what i'm saying it's a conversation we're gonna be having it's not something you know it's not a little conversation and look that that's proof we've had a five and a half hour conversation disagreed
okay now some people did say that oh musti you know you interrupted and they were in the beginning later on i i do less so in the beginning there were some interruptions but i think in you know you i suppose you live you learn um the the reason i think next time i would just make it clear that both sides they have the opportunity but just so it's fresh in everybody's mind that look if you feel that the other person is going entirely off or you feel that uh you know they're not answering the question you asked like maybe they've misunderstood
the question or they're answering a different question it's absolutely fine to interrupt and as it would in a natural conversation you see in a natural conversation some of it you do kind of interject and it does happen but for the most part it's you know there's a healthy conversation so cool people and and we don't and and i think this is a testimony we don't need to be told how to have a conversation you know we're mature adults we can do that so people are right all right all right all right mufti how tall are you
not that tall i'm just five nine that's standard i don't know if that's standard some of the countries that's gonna be short i suppose america everybody's like five six four but in certain parts that's just standard kind of height of the what is your diet yeah my diet is uh it could be a lot better i've been trying to uh sharpen up my diet since i had to go see a uh consultant for my throat so i've been trying to sharpen up
yeah all right so what is going on right people let's look at all of this talk on [Laughter] somebody said in china you're huge yeah yeah that's true that's true it's all it's all relative people it's all relative right so missed my question you nothing
somebody said na mufti was taller that's my presence you see my presence gives that so people all right let's move on right and in me little discussion people is all right let's move before we get to the me thing another interesting question and then i'm gonna come back to this hadith uh understanding hadith and things like that but in between people pressing matters one must attend to rather
right and that is as we can see right so people those of you who were in the uk or are in the uk uh know that and actually maybe in other parts of the world as well we've been struck with so much snow uh just suddenly at the blue right now with the snow comes the mass comes what no not not all the traffic accidents that happens with it comes the messiah people the messiah so here we are dealing with pressing
[Music] issues [Music] if you make it you're making an idol and the children won't but the the children not so much but the parents
will be sinful let me just play that again he's just pointing at the snowman right there you can see next to the kid kid's clearly going to hell for that foreign
all right so people this is uh the head of the the green turbine lot now he's given the ruling on the kids making a snowman as you can see and he says well this is making an idol and because the child is still a child it's his parents that will be thrown into hell
you're doing it man you're doing it i mean you're just on another level of comprehension and you know then there was this next there was this fatwa of uh if i show you this [Music] making a snowman is permitted because there's a hadith in bukhari that the women had dolls and because they could make dolls to sorry the girls little girls had dolls now
[Laughter] honestly what on earth is happening people what on earth is happening this uh you know if you have to justify children playing in the snow and making a snowman by saying let me find a hadith from bukhari to justify
oh my god seriously that you know i just don't wha what what is actually happening here people what is happening i mean this this is uh this is basically what you're doing going for honestly i i what is happening if you have to justify you know hey dad can we go make a snowman
wait [Laughter] yeah let me quickly go through seven thousand hadith i mean we become so handicapped that we can't think you know if you have to ask a question like that you know your islam is massively problematic massively if that's how you operate that can i build a snowman right let me look at the muslin of imam ahmad
honestly that this is we have become a laughing stock i mean this ah i don't know is it is it just me people or i don't it's ridiculous right yes so people what is going on yeah that's the green turban lot [Laughter] you know this is this is the problem in it in the religious circles this is all we get we get that we get danny boy danny boy those of you remember daddy boy
the great the genius danny boy 31 why people why so you get danny boy you get you know you're gonna get dawa man you're gonna get shady you're gonna get i mean this is the this is the kind of unfortunate kind of what you see for islamic teachings it's it's just disappointing
everywhere you turn you find somebody with sympathy huh he says maybe there's a lot of actors who live around here but yes so uh salaam musti would you start peace talks with farid yeah i mean i you know i'm gonna be honest i there's very few people who i've had a kind of um you know like a hatred for them in my heart very few all these people that i've
even people like gangutilli now i call him gong because he calls me cafes but i'm being honest i don't hate i don't have hatred for him in my heart i honestly don't i i do obviously i have a joke and laugh and i mock him but i don't have this kind of resentment towards him if i think oh my god i hate him i don't honestly i don't i don't resent him i don't hate him i don't uh yeah i honestly they may have been i'm trying to think of some if the what some name there may have been one odd person throughout you know that i've ever like
felt that kind of resentment maybe they've kind of did something which was just totally unacceptable and i thought well you know in my books i can't i'm trying to think now who but um but these kind of people that all this that i do it's not in my heart wallahi and i'm not just saying this as a kind of sound good it really isn't in my heart um this kind of stuff is is because of what they've done if you know if they are respectful to me i would be immediately respectful to them immediately it's not like uh i i would be respectful if they were respectful to me
but because they treat me like i'm and they'll just treat me they call me a cafe and i hid an apostate and all these kind of things which which ain't ain't right you can't you know you shouldn't call people things like that i had somebody say to me you know why uh mufti you know why somebody very sensible and mature he kind of messaged me said look mufti you know
you make these kind of monkey videos and come on this is wrong and you know you need to like please and you know you shouldn't do this kind of stuff and look my point was i said to the person look chad and these people they do worse but they do it in their way their way is to get on the pulpit and call me a kafir and to say in the podcast that i'm a disbeliever to tweet that i'm a non-muslim to call me as indeek on twitter and see this is their style
they will publicly write these kind of words because it fits that thing me i i won't call them a car fear or something i will just mock them and it'll just be funny but this is my style obviously they they can't do this because they couldn't be funny if their life depending on it [Music] anyway so that's why you know two people say why do you include these why don't you kind of stop but why should i
you can't stop something if it's you know mazara it's fun so right let's move on people let's move on what were some of the other topics right okay hadith people had check this out now i had discussed something about called the um the kind of bounce and ripple effect or the boomerang and ripple effect that basically a hadith when it's being said by let's say imam bukhari it could influence subconsciously other people and their hadiths in their books
so this is a response to the question that comes that what if you sideline bukhari today doesn't matter because these hadith are still equally found in some of these other books but my question to that is how do you know this is not a bounce effect or a ripple and boomerang effect that basically because imam buhari was a uh you know he was a great person and even though these people don't transmit from him directly but they acknowledged him so if somebody said or if he said or somebody from them said that look imam bukhari said this narration
it may be that the listener he may do it subconsciously he may do it consciously may alter his version to standardize it with what he just heard and people do this all the time in shared memories so people will sometimes your friend might narrate an event to you and their version of it may be slightly different to what you remember but if it's if that person is somebody for example one you look up to and two if it's maybe a more appealing memory you might alter your memory to match this
this kind of mirroring and it may be the people who took the books from these other imams altered it you don't know and so this is not something i'm just saying like people could say well you know mufti is a bit of a a long shot but here let me give you an example people you thought i speak without dalil did you not know did you think i was in what's the word epic
what's the word epic epic durian what was the i forgotten the word i'm gonna have to biggie d i'm gonna have to go back to big d right so people take a look at this now this is uh an example this is a great scholar uh sheikh ahmed shakir who's working on the mahala of uh ibn hasan that you can see there i mean that's just the reference to the page now this is in the mahala this is an example yeah um
and you have to understand is a huge you know he's a huge figure of the uh he lives into the early 1900s now sorry let me just see what's going on here right excellent so now ahmad shakir as you can see there this is a text where he's quoting from the mahala of ibn hassam a statement of imam malik
and he says look at malik that this has been transmitted from malik and he says that he asked malik about this water that animals come to and they you know basically they drink it but they also kind of relieve themselves in it and it's it's like a little it's like a pond not a little but it's like some kind of or maybe a pool a drinking pool where animals come to so he's asking could somebody do wudu from there and imam malik basically says if the water appears fine then fine you can do it but the interesting thing as i've underlined the he quotes ahmed sharkin who's a great scholar a
don scholar he quotes ibn qasim now so what's the problem well you see the problem is that ibn qasim isn't the person who transmits this now let's go to ahmad shaka's footnotes he quotes this and this is him working on the mahala and a classical text of ibn hasam and he is editing and he's editing this book and he brings it into print it's with his editing i mean in fact that's the the one i have as well right so you can see here he mentions in the footnotes he says
um that he says look wassawa he says it mentions in such and such manuscript the misery and the yemenia in both of those it mentions see the name is this must be a mistake because it's whenever he transmits maliki from of
imam malik he transmits it via ibn qasim then notice he says which is underlined in red i really tried to find this allah in the mud of ibn qasim but he says i didn't manage to find it now right so okay so you say well okay what's so you know interesting about that you see the interesting thing is ibn ranim does exist not only does he exist you see here is a quote imam malik used to praise think
exalt him think of him so highly that if when he would attend his class he would make him sit on one side to him on his side and he would ask him often what's going on ibn khanim was from north africa he was from uh modern day tunis as well which is also where sahnun is from and imam malik would often ask him and he went on later on to become a judge in africa and he was deemed one of the most knowledgeable people uh regarding the statements of regarding the statements of uh of imam malik
now right okay i'm just trying to okay that's good so so what's happened here this is one example what's happened is ahmad shakir is editing he comes across a name that looks similar in its spelling to ibn qasim it says now he he thinks ibnaranim from sahnun is saying from ibn ranim that doesn't sound right because and he's not a maliki but he's heard of these scholars he says usually transmits from ibn qasim so he changes it to ibn qasim
see he's not doing this out of some evil intention but he is trying to rectify because it makes sense to him yet ibn al-qasim does not transmit this it is actually ibn radhim so here you have a kind of working editing taking place and i'm showing you an example of something which is obviously you say yeah but so what you know this is happened now and we've picked up this mistake yes that's because it's happened now but what about all the hundreds of times that this has happened in history
and people that come after would just quote him do you understand and this is part of that kind of ripple effect that is created and let me show you another example you see in the same book the muhammad there is a hadith right now the hadith itself is a standard hadith to do with the menstrual cycle but the interesting thing i want to speak about show you how hadith that the chains get influenced now this hadith is transmitted from four people are transmitting it yeah so you can see here
uh in the kind of purpley color that you've got these top three people shariq zohair and obaidullah transmitting this hadith now what's interesting is the hadith comes like they mention the chain they say i've written it they've na from ibrahim now that's fine you know from imran the problem is there's a fourth person who narrates the same hadith so the top three are there they narrated they're in this intermediate it's in the you know uh you you've got it uh you know in a few variant kind of texts
right there now i think in ibn uh not sorry in hakim he mentions it as well so here you've got uh then there's a fourth variant now check this out i've got that below in the orange ibn george now this um you can see also is transmitted by other books you've got this it's it's by tabrani as well and and a few other variants have transmitted it now in this narration okay of ibn george he doesn't mention the name uma uh sorry
imran he says now why is this important now check this out so you've got four people transmitting and you've got different books transmitting it from them okay so you've got uh you know from these people whether it's going to be abu dhabi all these people transmitting it from these three saying that the name is from this person called imran
now what happens you have a fourth variant which is transmitted in the books like in tabla is transmitted in the hadith books it is there it comes from a person ibn your age very famous who says now remember his narration says that because he taught that ibn gerage taught it was umar he was mistaken but he taught that now what ibn hasem does now check here there's a double layered mistake that goes on ibna hasam transmits this so what you can see at the bottom in red um
but he doesn't transmit it from ibn your age he says that we transmit this same he says we transmit this hadith he says look ibn mentions but he goes to the chain of the top people obeyed allah and he says you know this hadith we transmit it via ibn rage we transmit the same thing from ubaid but he goes on to mention umar in the end now you might think this is not a big deal but it is because look he's mentioned a chain that comes from somebody called ubaidullah but
given the variant that belongs to ibn juraj in it and then he says well look um doesn't exist there was no person called um this is nonsense okay fine okay that's one mistake and that's because this variant of ibn your age where he taught umar was wrong but the other three had the correct name imran along comes ahmad shakir hundreds of years later hundreds and hundreds of years later he's editing the work what he does is when editing it he
corrects it but he corrects the ibnajurage version he corrects that you see the number four he corrects that to imran but the problem is this version of ibn juraid is even though it's mistaken but that's how you know it's it's a it may be false but that's how the document is preserved now you have to preserve the document as it is so we can say look if not your age did this this was false
but this is how he transmitted it these three transmitted it like this and that was correct but he alters the imageraige narration ins in standardizing it with the other three you see and what he's done is he's basically standardized the text and confirmed the other narrations by altering it i don't know if this makes sense to you guys because you've got to understand that the huge what is actually happening here i know it's just names so don't get lost
in that but look at the phenomenon one person he's mistaken ibn hazm he's mistaken he begins the mistake by quoting ibn juraid's word but he says i'm he quotes it from those people who who say a different name okay one mistake now you have ibn jarrad's hadith fair enough but ibn juraj's hadith does have a mistake in it and it's a historical mistake along comes hundreds of years later ahmed cherkid and he amends it in light of the other ones
so now if you read it you would read it correctly now you say well well that's great but no you see it's the phenomenon it's not just this incident it's where it's a working document you are editing it based on your current understanding you see you're standardizing a model and this is exactly what may have happened in the past see you're just catching it out now because ahmad shakir highlighted this but what about all the people who did this in the past with imam muslims book with abu dhabi's book with
what about all of that where they started to standardize and i give the example of the hadith where the prophet is allegedly saying you know if it wasn't for hajj and looking after my mother i would have wanted to die as a slave and jihad sorry i would have wanted to die as a slave and that's absurd because nobody wants to be a slave and secondly the prophet's mother wasn't even alive so this understanding that that may have been and then all of a sudden muslim and ismaili now find a hadith they have a they actually have a hadith now that reads oh it's not the prophet saying i swear by
god it's i swear by he who abu hurairah's life is in his hands that this this this you see so it's a concept and then it's reified it finds a it becomes real it finds a body it's concretized so it's like you send out this idea this thing it's it's here and it comes back so the kind of ripple and boomerang effect that's happening it comes back and it it kind of concretizes this because it matches it and it it creates a kind of equilibrium
harmony so i don't know if that makes uh i hope that makes some sense people but that was to explain why i felt um what i did about these hadith this theory that what about other hadith that are the same but in other books and here i'd just like to say a quick word on right hmm i'd been thinking people i don't know if you've heard of uh darwin's cathedral
okay so professor david sloan wilson so he has this this book and he has lectures on youtube as well so it's evolution religion and the nature of society so what david sloan is arguing in darwin's cathedral is that what he's arguing is that not just biology as darwin had argued evolves and kind of takes on a life in accordance with
survival of the fittest he argues that systems of belief and cultures equally are like living organisms they take on a life of their own and they too evolve but they they're not just to be treated like um you know very superficially as in oh this is just what people do but these are you know memes i know richard dawkins nowadays memes are just funny things but memes richard dawkins what he was speaking
about is mimetics that behavior or information is mirrored and it kind of takes a life like a parasite in society and it has a almost like a mind of its own except we're not saying it's conscious now i was thinking about all of that in light of hadith now i feel that this applies to hadith that it may may well sorry apply to hadith because hadith is a you see it's a hadith system it's not an
individual hadith we're just talking about talking about a system that involves a lot of human agency you know memorizing relaying interpreting giving you paraphrasing um authority power orthodoxy is created on the back of hadith this it's a huge it's a system okay now
systems what if they equally attract us to them what if you see because what if ideas and these these kind of uh it's i suppose small at a low level just ideas but at a greater level systems of ideas
what if they are like how you have viruses how you have i'm not saying that in a negative sense but how you that they have a kind of uh a hyper existence not a you see you need to bear with me because i don't want see people might think what on earth is mufti on about here look in the past people looked at biology they looked at life very simplistically yeah they they didn't understand microbiology they didn't understand germs they didn't understand uh bacteria and viruses
so they understood contagions to be very simple like you touch someone it passes on they couldn't understand how something is airborne because they couldn't understand they didn't have that level of understanding of microbial entities today we do so we view these this world differently technology like we view things like look at today the way we understand things like like wi-fi like let's say i'm downloading a song or a movie now it is just coming in the air
to this device a whole movie is just coming in the air now if you try to explain that to somebody 500 years ago they would find that dumb and they would argue against it with good reason like they would say oh well in that case if if i put my hand in front of it shouldn't i be blocking it now or if there's a wall then how can it go through the wall or how you see like they would from their perspective have good reason to argue against it but today with evidence you know that oh and with a more complex understanding of how technology works you know that well actually
this is the correct depth understanding you know a deeper understanding of technology so you see what i'm trying to say is we have a very superficial understanding of one consciousness and two ideas which in essence is information but ideas like we don't understand like to us like we just we have a very shallow understanding like oh well there's a there's some kind of neural active electrical activity it's just a current taking place but i feel that ideas are
much greater than that that they reside in the realm of consciousness that they are kind of and what if the way a virus is drawn to its host you see what if ideas are drawn to certain people as well and you see and and why what why hadith in this light because hadith is a system a system of ideas it's a belief system in and of itself so when you consider it that you have to understand
that the way a virus would mutate and take on a life of its own to survive the hadith system once put into existence would do the same it doesn't matter it would become it would outlive the individuals it would become a kind of organism that meets the challenges of the day and age and it would obviously manifest that through the minds of people that it that that preoccupied themselves with it but
yeah i don't i mean [Laughter] you're gonna say yeah mufti's gone mad but i'm serious you see this is why complex belief systems they always evolve you see they this is and the reason i'm saying about hadith is because like all these effects like the boomerang effect the the kind of rippling effect standardizing self-correcting along the way i know people are doing it but as a kind of psychosocial organism
this belief system it would be driven to make people do that to kind of ensure its longevity to survive now you may say well you're kind of ascribing uh volition and consciousness to it but am i because look viruses don't have consciousness but that's they have but they're driven and yeah so i don't know look this is food for thought don't shoot me but i i'm intrigued you see i was thinking about this and i was thinking
hmm like you see if belief systems what's to say that i know we are drawn to certain ideas but what if certain ideas are actually drawing us in towards them forget about it people i know you're thinking mufti's lost the plot ah yeah i've lost it i know
but yeah so that's i don't know food for thought food for thought people or or do i need to do i need to go easy on the psychedelics is that what it is but yeah so uh right let's move on people let's move on also that you know the honest earnest just a tiny footnote that would give a different understanding to what plato was saying about the forms because people obviously asked where do these forms exist and what is it but what if they exist existed as concepts in the realm of consciousness food food for thought people food for thought right so anyway anyway mufti's lost the plot
ages ago that i did that i did people let's take a few quick questions uh all right you need to take uh yep akbar who do you recommend to listen to a cha cha cha you're coming on my show and asking people who do you recommend i should listen to you
listen to me so what is going on somebody said mufti hadith is cancer no look i want to correct i know i began earlier on saying look my agenda i don't know if i finished that my agenda is simply to filter through i am against people and against this idea of being an entire heritage or to speak rudely about it as in generally it is not you know the heritage isn't like that but yes some elements in there may be infected but you don't
need to chuck the whole thing away and you don't need to i know you get these people that come on some of these arab secular these kind of channels and they just insult you know just swear at bukhari and they just swear at this and they just this is never i condemn that and i've always made it clear that's not been my purpose and i don't believe there was some conspiracy by people like bukhari or some double agent and things like this it's it's just that look some some infection crept in and it's our job to to to clean it but that's it i i don't say that you need to throw hadith away
in fact it's wonderful you know when you think about it it is amazing that seriously that we have so many different descriptions and you know little details about the prophet because if they hadn't reached us we would have wondered today i wonder what the prophet would have been like i wonder what you would have said i wonder if there are some stories i wonder what and they've come to us but yes with it some have got corrupted along the way but it's still a beautiful kind of tradition and i tell you it's a tradition that wallahi it doesn't matter how many what people say
if other religions had even announced comparable to what we have in as you know as the legacy describing the profit if they even had an ounce of it they they would be over the moon i'm telling you they don't have anything like that dating back to the um you know figures of of faith so yeah but so yes by all means we clean things and we filter things but we don't you know it would be so it's so kind of reductionist and naive to say look let's bin
everything yeah so people mufti's lsd halal yeah lsd is halal you can watch my video on psychedelics [Laughter] can be good you know this uh you see but to me paratha those of you that know it's kind of like a chapati almost but it's kind of all very oily and made a bit i don't know how to describe it but you can just type it in uh but it you see people just eat it on
its own with tea and i find that so strange i have to eat it with salan like with curry but yeah that reminds me that this is it's an anecdote speaking of hadith there's an anecdote of queen victoria that in her time in india people are protesting so so she comes out of a mini palace thing and she goes she goes what the hell is going on here so they say oh queen they're protesting says why are they protesting so obviously poverty all this she goes so the person says you know they're protesting that they haven't got chapaties to eat rotiani you know
roti to eat so she goes so eat paratha [Laughter] ah your queen victoria you're doing it you're doing it right now let's move on right so just ordered mufti
i think by i prefer payover nihari nihari was something that was common in karachi i was like to me it was just okay i don't know what the hype was about but um mufti do you think jins are viruses microbes according to some people yeah that's one interpretation it could be it could be that you know i know um rasheed radha sheikh rasheed riddha he kind of in his tafsir takes that serum describes them as that that they are uh these viruses and jeddah theme
and these kind of ger not germs but kind of bacterial microbial entities mufti what music you into my music is like a mishmash of uh god knows you know like i'll have some classic uh bollywood [Laughter] a classic i'll tell you a classic bollywood song that is uh always that's uh
as a classic has to be you know one of my that i have to absolutely rate it's very old this it's uh but so sometimes that sometimes maybe kawali nasrat fatehan sometimes maybe takashi mind you i haven't seen much of takashi recently on right so i don't uh yeah but i'm sometimes just instrumental you know these instrumental kind of things when i used to when i work out obviously lockdown days uh i just listen to these instrumental kind of
these proper they take me to a zone but yeah right so what celine dion no i don't really listen to that listen to kawali yeah i listened to nusraswatalihan um i listened to aziz mia before i would a lot uh not really now but i mean sometimes maybe as a one-off
all right so let's uh move on people let's move on we've got to wrap this up as well right i was um i was sent a clip by uh by someone of doctor dr omar farooq abdullah now but what about position [Music] yeah see this is what happens there then people say mufti why is it your thing always messing up you see it like [Music]
but what about positions that might be more i didn't upload it right so uh that's a shame i was almost certain i did let me just check these what's this thing laughing and joking too much and becoming excessive it's an old video by vacations oh here it is the first thing
destiny what is the first thing christians disagreed on just um this is an important i think it's of use to you what is the first thing that christians disagreed on can you say it loudly the trinity no absolutely not because the trinity never even began to appear for a long time the trinity took over almost 400 years to develop in christianity almost 400 years the trinity goes through five historical stages and in the beginning they're not talking about trinity they're talking about the
divinity of the sun and they're talking about the logos the word whether it's divine or not whether it's with god or not with god what that means so right now i'll cut it short dr omar goes on to explain that the first thing they disagree about is docetism and and then he goes on to explain that now although he's he's kind of he says or amongst the first things they disagreed on was docetism and although in that statement he's kind of right
but his explanation of it i feel is either you know it's it's it's definitely inaccurate to what he's portraying so somebody had sent me this said what do you think about it so i thought okay i'll share my thoughts now you see docetism this within christianity right it was it was kind of like an umbrella um or a banner under which there were several kind of
um varying people groups it wasn't a belief that originated with a school pers like a church per se so we have like islam like schools of law they have like churches or the official church it didn't come from the church and it it's to do with jesus what dr umar goes on to say is that this belief was he quotes a passage from the bible that jesus them saying that no sooner had the son of god been crucified that some amongst us
started to say that he wasn't even that it wasn't even him that or he wasn't even the man or something like this he quotes um and you see so he says well you see docetism this whole thing it comes from dolcane and it's to do with the term of appearing and he goes on to explain that this whole disagreement in christianity was that jesus was not the man that got crucified but somebody was made to look like jesus and he got crucified and jesus went off and this is what he he argues the quran
is saying and and that that was also the first heresy or disagreement within christianity now right okay first of all from an islamic perspective i don't believe that's what happened at all i don't even believe that that's what the quran is saying it says that what it appeared to them and what appeared to them i would say the crucifixion appeared to them as though it was successful but it wasn't not jesus although one could argue that sure the wording could be it could give off this kind of a meaning if you wanted to
take it that way now as far as what dr umar is quoting here it is not really accurate in the sense that it's i suppose unless it's a mistake but it if he's doing it on purpose then i guess it's misleading because dosatism according to christianity was actually the debate about jesus was he the man or was he just you know was he flesh
you see you know the way some braves or many brilliance have this belief that the prophet wasn't a man he was he was light so they say look the prophet never used to have a shadow and stuff like this now this isn't really mainstream islam and people generally don't believe in that but this similarly this is the kind of debate that docetism was about and it was about was jesus uh human or was he just pure divine
and some people obviously were arguing that no he was the divine but that he had embodied the spirit had kind of the word had embodied the flesh so other people had a problem with that because they were saying well you know if you bring him into humanity too much then it's a problem so they had said things some had argued that jesus wasn't even born through a virgin birth he wasn't born through birth he just came and some people had said things like he was you know even though he looked like a human but he wasn't
actually there like maybe he was angelic or like a hologram or i don't know like he was basically just appearing as a human but he wasn't actually a human being he wasn't body and flesh according to many of them of these people who believed in this now that's what the actual debate was about so they were saying that when he was born as a baby he didn't cry why didn't he cry because he obviously you know he's he's he's god or the you know the the son of god so he wouldn't cry because he wasn't
really a human anyway and and it's interesting that this is why later on one of the next major debates is about mary the mother of god and she has to equally be on a pawn and then hence many of them saying she didn't you know she gave childbirth like this there was nothing there was no pain and it's interesting the quran contrasts that by saying that the pains of labor brought her to this place and she shook the tree trunk and and it mentions you know it's an odd thing to mention about mary her her labor pains you know she says i wish you know
phonia died before this day it's an odd thing to mention why the the labor pains i mean sure you know we understand it's natural there's always labor pains it's because yes there was this and it still continues you know in in in certain you know with the church as as actual doctrine the status of mary and part of that was argued that she uh i believe saint thomas aquinas as well argues that that she felt no she was like angelic and you know she felt no child labor pains and nothing and
so anyway we're getting off track so the whole purpose of this debate was not to do with the crucifixion although they do mention that look at the crucifixion did jesus actually feel pain like was when he was being beaten up was he actually feeling pain because to some of those people they saw that as no he's god how can he so to them they were like no he wasn't even human he was just pretending and yes there was a person known as simon magus now this is although it's also been put under um this kind of dosatism or gnosis it was
not really the main debate of those the resemblance thing like appearing to be like jesus wasn't like what dr umar is saying always to do with you know when he got crucifixed was it jesus or another man it was about jesus's humanity as a whole did he appear to be a man or was he a man that's what the actual debate was but yes there was someone known as simon magus who kind of appears later on elsewhere and he tells people that he's actually still jesus and he says um
you know i am like he is jesus he's telling all these people and he says that what happened when jesus was getting crucified he got swapped with me sorry with simon of some people say is the same as simon of cyrene simon magus and so basically they executed simon magus and not knowing and jesus got away as impersonating simon magus and saying look i'm him but this this person was also another kind of like uh like a charlatan and all this kind of stuff and he was
he there's there's all kinds of issues with him with this character simon but that's one little thing yes it's true and people that maybe did you know kind of like relay that story or some noses kind of people may have paid attention to it but this was not docetism dosetism was about jesus's humanity or was he just a resemblance so dr umarkan was presenting that look really the quran touches upon the oldest or the first heresy of christianity that the man crucified
was like a look alike but that's kind of misleading if you're portraying it like that so i was asked so i thought tk i'll give my thoughts on it you know i want to say that um right i want to say that you know [Laughter] you know this is the thing if i speak people say why this one's oh it speaks so you know people you see like sheikh dr
umar farooq abdullah you know my thoughts on dr umar is that he is incredibly talented honestly incredibly talented you know this legend of a man who has been studying islam probably from before i was born and at that stage he was grounded i mean he's one of the earliest western malikis and and he was so huge on the maliki mother these are obviously all kind of um knock-on effects of um
or triggered by uh abdul qadr sufi who i've spoken of previously and they were all very kind of uh upper middle class or upper class you know they they weren't just your kind of they weren't the kind of plebs of society very kind of elite people that were being drawn towards islam at that time and dr umar was somebody who goes off and he studies and his arabic is amazing for a convert you know it's um really good arabic and and i say that because you know most converts including sheikh hamza
yusuf and all these people even though the arabic is good but they still retain an accent a foreign i'm not saying there's anything wrong with that you know fine you know because it's not their language in essence but uh not many people can you know completely shed the accent especially converts because i suppose if you're coming from english the pronunciation of arabic and the tars and this and that it's slightly you know it's it's good don't get me wrong is arabic's good but it's still you can tell you know you can tell clearly this is a westerner speaking
now omar farooq abdullah however when i heard some of his arabic uh a while back i heard a recording of his about the mother i was wowed like because you know you couldn't tell anything i mean this guy his arabic was it could have been a saudi shirt or reading i mean you would not be able to tell because it was just an audio i was listening to in fact when i first listened i didn't even i thought who's this and he's speaking in arabic giving adars so he was massively talented and and you know the thing is and i say this
maybe this is just my perspective but i feel it's so much talent gone to waste i honestly i i say that because i i honestly feel that i feel that this is a person who could be you know they could be beacons of of hope for for islam in the west which in many ways they did serve for a certain period but what seems to have happened in old age it's weird i don't know what it is but in old age they seem to have been you know they seem to have gone full circle
to that we want to seek out that dizzy thing you know that all that typical you know that pir muridi you know i want to become a peace up uh this kind of spiritual share who takes bayer from people and this is a wolf kind of shoe and it's a waste honestly i i that's my heartfelt kind of thoughts on it i feel it's an absolute waste because you have to understand something a sh sheikh from the west is
never going to gain that mccomb of appear from the east never not in nowhere in the foreseeable or imaginable future it's not going to happen you see you have nothing on those bee sabs over there because the piece abs over there that you see it's the that folklore kind of you know it's there for centuries and the people around them and i'm i don't even i don't even think i think it's a it's something silly to chase anyway but if you were chasing it it's not gonna you know it doesn't work it's not
it and there's so much other talent here you know and it's all intellectual talent and it's all kind of just going to to waste pursuing a kind of beer sub spirituality and i don't know i i'm kind of i don't get me wrong i i love dr omar in terms of his intelligence and ilm but i just it's you see that's why it's as hurtfully disappointing to see this in kind of slow motion over the past several years like you think
you know this isn't yeah but i don't know man maybe people might think but this isn't like in any way to hate on him or anything i don't i have much respect for him but it's not my point was simply it's not going to it's a disappointment and i've seen a few americans do it actually i don't know whether it's why it's an american thing is it you know they seem to be really chilled until they reach a certain age then they take that kind of is it that razali thing you know we need to go to a cave and retreat and uh i don't know i don't know but yeah cool people
right so what is going on i'll tell you what one two quick questions then let's do the uh we'll have to do the uh let me add a little bit of right so do the masala thing and call it a night people are there any interesting questions here i haven't taken some from the jamaat on facebook so what are you guys saying huh imam trump says and then jesus returned as mirza mahmud that's one disappointing second return
all right all right some questions about jesus okay sure yep uh fushi is asked about jesus speaking as a child i have got a video explaining that that look jesus it doesn't mention he's speaking as a baby that's just inferred by people he actually says that kefanu
who was a boy so kana who was a boy just yesterday in the cradle and that's because i feel that's referring to the incident i think in the gospel of luke when jesus is a young boy i think maybe about 10 or 11 and he gets into an argument with the high priests and they find it incredibly offensive and disrespectful so i feel this is an indication to that
what is going on people here disney hardy what happened to rock songs rock rock as in rock or as in like what kind of rock are we talking about here you talking about like rock and roll elvis to be fair i mean obviously those things are well before my time but i think there's some very good uh very good music i mean very good you know the good tracks put it like that some some of what elvis has some of um
what's his name sinatra and things like that you can't beat it really i think musti please talk about right can you please read my question i just read your question oh i don't know you had a video speak a bit about abu hurairah spent last two years with the prophet and his five thousand hadith omar asking him to stop hadith yeah this is a uh yep that's a good question
it's true you know i mean you see yeah because he spends at best really two years with the prophet i mean you're stretching it maybe two years one two months something but you know they try and stretch and say it's three years but it wasn't really even three years but even if and he transmits so many hadith um i definitely think that a lot of you know there was a lot of um maybe false memories being transmitted and stuff like that
and this is why umar actually threatened and he threatened to beat him if he if he hears him transmitting in front of him he said if i catch you narrating these hadith [Laughter] he said you see this stick seriously it's in the it's in the hadith himself uh when umar dies he's he starts doing a lot more narrations and he says in some of them you know i couldn't do this whilst umar was alive because he he threatened me and said that if you do this i'm i'm gonna beat you up i'm gonna
because because he saw that and it's not about beating him up you see it's about because he saw it as an attack on the religion like how do you spread this information and how do you confuse people by because um you know it's because to these people you see you gotta remember to omar uthman ali all these people abu hurairah is a nobody you know he just come like yesterday and to them they've been with the prophet since you know before hijra and and they don't even like do you know
how many hadith omar transmits take a guess [Laughter] considering that he's what alive or after the prophet what is he like he's alive after he you know he's ruling for what is that like about a decade yeah so how many hadith does he and he's in a position to rule so he's teaching how many hadith do you think take a guess let some people write some guesses
um right he should invite a uh he teaches i mean he narrates about 80 i think is it 87 or 86 hadith like that's it [Laughter] i mean look if omar had transmitted 5000 it's believable you know as in he witnessed a lot if uthman had transmitted 5000 it's believable if ali had transmitted 5000 it's believable
because these people they've been with the prophet for you know one and a half to two decades some of them you know so it's it's believable somebody who comes in the last two years of islam and transmits 5000 hadith it's like what the hell is that about and this is why omar was offended it wasn't about a personal thing he founded an offense he founded an attack on islam because he felt that you know you you see you could be it's likely it's very likely you're going to mislead people so he was like look i don't know what you're up to
but whatever it is no and it's not that you see i'm not saying abu huraira is some evil person i'm not saying that but he definitely this became a claim to fame definitely and it may be a righteous claim to fame not you see a claim to fame doesn't have to be evil people can like it you know people could say oh look mufti you teach online and don't you like you know being able to teach people and people of course i like it i mean i'm sure everybody who you know it doesn't mean that it's a it's something that people don't like being in positions like that they do so
abu huraira is no exception and then he would have mixed know that as a fact okay that he did make several so we just have to be a bit weary like there's a hadith check this out there's a hadith which is transmitted in the muslims of ahmed and is transmitted in mustadrak abu hurairah says this is hadith i'm telling you people he says
says i you know i went to rokaya at a house like the khul went went in to a house and met her and she had a comb in her hand so i said oh calm and she said yeah the prophet the prophet of allah just went right now i was combing through his hair and he said to me as he was leaving so she's telling abu huraira and he said to me as he was leaving how are things going with uthman
so i said they're going good and the prophet said how do you find how do you think what do you think of him and i said i think he's good he's he's a you know he's a good person and the prophet said you know what make sure you honor uthman very well because he is one of the closest people to me or closest people in behavior character to me or something now just take a look at this wonderful hadith that's being transmitted in
muslims by abu hurairah himself saying i went and met you radhialla anha died at the battle of buddha that's like second history that's like you know what at least five years before abu reid has even become a muslim and come to medina so how the hell did you go to rokaya's house and she had a comb and she said this to you what how the hell did this happen [Laughter] so this is why you know it's like because of stuff like this some of the shia when they attack
obviously they attack because of the and this you see because the sunnis are not doing a good enough job in saying that look this is nonsense so they are then doing it so you know i was reading with one of the shia guys he goes you know and had died in the battle of buddha did she come out of her grave obviously and they're disrespectful to the companions some of them especially to abu huraira and others so he says you know did she come out of the grave
to visit this al-qaeda so but this but you see my point is when we have something like this we should just kind of say that look this is nonsense and this it nip it in the in in the butt and we should do that so other people don't have to do it sunnis should do that to their own tradition we should critique it and so take out you know the the flies in in the ointment because otherwise other people are going to say oh look at that look at that cool people so why was abu huraira doing this so
obviously he is either he's making a mistake or somebody from him is making a mistake or maybe it's a false memory maybe it's somebody twisting it you see we don't know but we what we do know is that's factually wrong because the prophet's daughter had died long before so long before he beca he'd become a muslim so yeah
let's wrap this up people so before we do that we have before we do that people as always we need insight in life some people may say lockdown quarantine [Laughter] what if we're locked in a room together and the key is lost you know this one so we need guidance people we need
guidance on the intimacy people the intimacy so who else who better than let's let's go to we need some nasiha people some advice arabic word for advice so who better than to go to the nasir sessions of tawa so people as we conceive right here but what about positions that might be more recommended than others so this is going to be tawa man highlighting to us from the wise words oh sorry with the wisdom of ibrahim
and josie the wisdom of people in this lockdown scenario if you get close you know they're touch accidentally and you get the intimacy you know the intimacy so people in all of this right a person must remember one must remember won his position in humanity and to his position in the act so what is this about but what about positions that might be more recommended than others
some positions that might be more recommended than others um he mentioned that the woman on top is something that's not good it shouldn't happen and he had a a nice reasoning behind it ah nice reason and i think it's worth mentioning it in the day and age that we live he's doing top position it makes the man basically behave like a woman it puts the man in the woman's position [Music] the man is the one who in intimacy is the one who is in control right troll controller
back where the man approaches from the front but if the woman is on top then what this does it puts the woman in the more of a dominating position okay now what this can encourage is femininity in a man that's the problem he's got inside inside it's not haram for a woman to be up on the top position with her husband struggling but he's saying it's something that we should keep in mind that it's something that encourages femininity it causes the man to be in the position of the woman and sadly we've seen how this is
perversed how is that because now men have actually gone to engage in in practices where they're not just in the woman's position but then they're actually being treated like a woman where they will ask their wife to actually penetrate them sadly a very very very vulgar thing where a man will be penetrated by his own wife and and that's the thing you see [Laughter]
so all of you haramis out there listen right before you end up asking asking your own wife to penetrate you beware people beware because remember remember if you find yourself becoming a bit too feminine oh oh i use then maybe maybe ramyo maybe the reason is habe you're not paying attention to ibn kayem now let me introduce you to some people
who are paying attention to him because these people are on it see like they know they've read ibn kaim's book [Music] [Music] we've seen how this is perverse
[Music] is always on top people guys need to read more ibn this is why the ummah is going down this is why earlier on there was instead of using this this was going on we don't know which kind of parents we don't know gender neutrals this is why it was going on it was going on because people are not
listening to imagine you need to listen to these insights get all that wisdom remember the feminine the softness the femininity oh my god i honestly don't know what's going on in the minds of these people this the natural conclusion is if you if you allow that what's gonna happen is you naturally want to be penetrated yourself
and you're gonna make your wife do it to you i honestly don't know who even thinks where does he come up with these concerns from i don't see it society society ah people you know what uh we gotta wrap this up man we gotta wrap this up but you know one thing though people remember to stay on top of things
[Laughter] it's important so people i hope things have been awesome uh somebody said are you ridiculing everything but can i ridicule a person who's on top of his game [Laughter] it brings a whole new meaning to that i'm on top of my game [Laughter] ah yo people you know what let's let's
