What this part covers
machinesummary, machine-writtenEvery group accepts later scholars against earlier ones when it suits them; Mufti Abu Layth says rejecting the Jesus hadith on the later scholars' authority is no different.
In more detail
Mufti Abu Layth says later scholars such as al-Suyuti disagreed with the early view on the Prophet's parents by problematising the hadith, exactly as the scholars he cites do with the Jesus reports, and asks why picking and choosing is allowed for one side only. He lists practices the early scholars opposed that later scholars approved: celebrating the Prophet's birthday, tombs and shrines, collective dua after salah, Sufi tariqas, and the hadra, dancing and singing in the mosque, which he says all the early scholars called haram and a violation of the mosque's sanctity. He says those who accept the later scholars on these matters dismiss the later scholars who found problems in the Jesus hadith. He adds that Salafis appeal to the majority of the Ummah, though the majority was never Salafi and never believed God has body parts, so going against the majority is deemed fine for them but deviance for others, quoting a Bollywood line about one's own love being love and another's being lust.
Position stated
Mufti Abu Layth says everyone, Salafis included, picks and chooses between early and later scholars, so rejecting the Jesus hadith on the authority of later scholars is no different from what others do.
“so why is it that all of a sudden it's okay to go against the majority if it's for you but if somebody else goes against the majority then they must be deviants”

chapter that those who say that why intercession will not help you if you die as a Kaffir and then he puts in in the hadith of the parents of the Prophet being in the Hellfire and Mullaly ilk re writes a whole book dedicated to it and in his other works he says there's each man on this that all the Ummah has agreed on he says Ibraheem share they brahim el halluf he claims the same thing but here the scholar say yeah but the later scholars disagreed with it C UT disagreed and what does UT do to disagree does exactly what I'm and what these scholars are saying here just problematizes the Hadean so why is it okay for you to pick
and choose you know when you when you look at practices by the way like practice the birthday of the Prophet look people will say to me that Oh having this belief isn't cool for its bid ah but then the birthday of the Prophet all the it didn't exist in early Islam hundreds of years it never existed all the early Allah mama against these things but people say yeah the latest scholars said it's okay it's okay having tombs and shrines everywhere where did that exist in early Islam all the scholars were against leasing peoples a year but the later days
scholars you know the Mitaka Dean said it's okay it's okay doing always doing though I in JAMA after Salah when did I exist in the prophet's time and early after all these ottoman rejected this they say yeah but the latest scholars accepted this these Sufi tariqas where did they exist for hundreds of years Muslims look down on these kind of things of Sufi thirty because this isn't a diss against Sufis but I'm just being honest they know this as well the most all these ala ma were not Sufi of the early of the early hundreds of years they used to look now as Imam Malik mocked these comes but this a year but the later Oh Lamar said this is okay look when you look at here's an issue
when you look at dancing in the masjids this Hudler odd that the Sufis and this is an attack on the Sufis I'm just being objective when you look at this huh Dorothy's jumping and kind of like singing in the mosque all the early Ottoman said it was Haram they said it was Haram it was a violation of the sanctity of the Masjid it was clear site violation they've rejected all these things it is not from the Quran and Sunnah is against the teachings of the Quran it's women but they say yeah but the latest scholars you know recently in the last 200 years they said it's okay you know and these people know you know these people have revised all the works and everything oh
that's interesting but then when you say yeah but the latest scholars in the last 200 years have been looking at these hadith and they found a problem huh what do the latest colors know what do the latest colors know look why don't the early school yeah but when I give you all the early scholars on the other issues you don't seem to accept them you know like what what is this and then people and to everybody even the seller fees you know the seller fees will say all but the majority okay we accept this means some if the laughs on this but the majority of the Omar's been on this belief of Jesus coming back well the majority of the
Ummah was not cellophane up either the majority of the Ummah did not believe in Allah having body parts like this I'm and this is not a dis I know you don't like to call them body parts you like to call them attributes but we're talking about body part of my eyes hands feet stuff like this majority they uh didn't believe that so why is it that all of a sudden it's okay to go against the majority if it's for you but if somebody else goes against the majority then they must be deviants they must be calling to the Hellfire why why what is this talk you know it's okay for you and is not okay there's a the Bollywood quote that
comes to mind but I can't say where he says it begins by saying no tomorrow Ishq Ishq this is your love is love and and my love is what my love is all about is supposed to be all about sex is what why can't my love be about self you know what's what what's wrong with this why why are you so you know why is it when it comes to other people people have this actually so I'm just presenting these things look everybody's picking and choosing everybody is doing this
