What this part covers
machinesummary, machine-writtenMufti Abu Layth says the speaker, carried away defending the Saudi rulers, attributed to the Prophet words he did not say: in the hadith the Prophet stopped Umar from killing the man. Respect for the Prophet comes before kings.
In more detail
Mufti Abu Layth says that in his zeal to defend the Saudi royals the speaker got so carried away that he accidentally threw the Prophet under the bus. He recounts the hadith the speaker refers to: a man told the Prophet to be just, the Prophet answered who would be just if he were not, Umar asked to strike the man and the Prophet said no, and said that from the man's descendants would come extremists in whose hearts the religion does not enter though they outwardly worship more than an ordinary Muslim; he says it is in Bukhari. Replaying the clip, he asks where the Prophet ever said 'I will kill his lineage', saying nobody in Islam seems to know of it, and why the Prophet would stop Umar from killing the man yet say his children should be killed. He calls on people to calm down and respect the Prophet first and foremost, saying kings can wait and that Muhammad bin Salman, with his lavish lifestyle, needs nobody to speak in his defence.
