What this part covers
machinesummary, machine-writtenIn the clip Qadhi calls the claim that the return came from Judeo-Christian sources baseless and says it would destroy Islamic epistemology; Mufti Abu Layth marks his words for later.
In more detail
In the clip Qadhi says this group claims that belief in Jesus's return emanated from Judeo-Christian sources, through figures such as Wahb [?], Abu Hurayra or al-Zuhri, and slowly crept in until it became mainstream; he calls it a huge, preposterous claim without the slightest evidence. Mufti Abu Layth tells the audience to remember these words, as he will come back to them. Qadhi asks, given more than seventy-five hadith and many companions, which is more likely: that the companions heard it from the Prophet, or that they heard it from Wahb and ascribed it to him. He says that claiming a Judeo-Christian belief became the default position, the ijma of the ummah and tawatur hadith implies that the faith was corrupted at its most basic level and the ummah misguided for fourteen centuries, which to him is the destruction of the epistemology of Islam and a far bigger problem than denying the return, and that the onus of proof is on the deniers.

well you know because it's just not gonna happen the fact that china doesn't exist it's a myth that all these people have got together just to trick me and that's inconceivable so this is how the hadith of the second coming of jesus you know if anything you gotta love the confidence you know that's the confidence i aspire to in life pay attention people pay attention simply because it is not rational right that this group is willing to claim that the belief
of jesus christ is a theology that emanated from judeo-christian sources from the likes of wahhabi or or maybe even abu hurairah or some of them say ibrahim it it emanated from these people and it slowly crept in until it became a mainstream belief of the umm now the response is that that's a huge claim that lacks even the slightest backing or evidence how can anybody make such a preposterous claim people remember these words okay i come back to these words okay these are these are these are that these
people claim that this crept in through judeo-christian sources maybe through abu hurairah maybe through zohari maybe through wahhabi maybe through other people maybe it was a mission but it crept in this is remember people remember remember okay without bringing up any proof or evidence so we have over 75 different hadith and what are you going to do about the other sahabah rahab
of such a huge magnitude without a shred of evidence which one is more likely that all of these sahaba heard it from the prophet sallallahu where i saw them or that they all heard it from wahhab or and then they ascribed it to the prophet saw i mean which one is more likely right so again and and there's another point by the way that needs to be said here subhanallah to claim that a judeo-christian belief uh was introduced into the ummah and it became not just mainstream but the default position for the entire muslim umm basically your the implications are mind-boggling
you are claiming that our faith has been corrupted at the most basic level and that the entirety of the ummah has been misguided for 14 centuries and claimed that it was introduced by judo christian sources and it became ijma of the ummah and it became tawatur hadith you see this to me is the far bigger problem than denying the return of jesus and that is the destruction of the epistemology of islam that's really what it is which is why this is uh somewhat of a dangerous topic to get involved with much later that this group is bringing forth such a preposterous claim but they have zero evidence and the onus
of proof is on them to bring not us well then what is left of preservation of our theology right so that's a very very dangerous point to make all view jesus as having died on this earth and so they deny that jesus was raised up alive right and so obviously when you don't believe that jesus is still alive then obviously there is no return and so the interpretation of jesus having been killed is something that is um very obscure in early islam but it is not unknown no sorry not killed natural death died naturally it is not unknown there's one tab you're eight
