He says the presenter frames the issue as the hadith not sitting well with his views on equality in marriage, whereas the hadith in question, that if a woman refuses to have sex with her husband the angels curse her and God is angry, is in his reading about marital rape. He recalls that in an earlier session he said marital rape is categorically haram and that this includes religious blackmail, using God to obtain sexual favours by telling someone God will be angry with them.
