Data and citing
What the data is, how far to trust each part of it, how to download it, and how to cite a statement so a reader can find the second it was said.
Limits, first
- Coverage. 259 of 1,859 recordings are indexed so far, 1,904 answers from 2014 to 2025. More are added every day; a gap may only mean a recording is not indexed yet.
- Machine summaries. Questions, summaries, topics and sources are written by a machine from the transcript and can be wrong. Quote the recording, not the summary.
- Checked positions. 1,081 positions are shown, each only after two independent reviews found it in his own voice, with the sentence quoted and timed. None is inferred.
- Quoted views. 226 answers discuss a view he quotes; they are never counted as his.
- Guests. 443 answers include guest speech; it is labelled and left out of positions and of source counts.
- Counts are not stances. That a scholar or hadith is cited says nothing about whether he accepted it.
Accuracy tiers
Each answer's transcript and tags carry a tier; a checked position carries its own (corrected once two reviews pass it, verified once the channel signs it off).
- machine 1,904 answers' transcripts and tags
- Transcribed and tagged by a machine. Good for finding the moment, not for quoting.
- corrected 0 answers' transcripts and tags
- Names, terms, verse and hadith references checked by a person.
- verified 0 answers' transcripts and tags
- Reviewed and approved by the channel. Quotable, with a stable citation.
Downloads
Rebuilt with every update. Identifiers are stable: a segment is <video id>/s/<n> and keeps its number once published; its short id yyyy-mm-dd-Snn resolves at /s/<short id>/.

How to cite
Cite the segment, not the whole recording: its page opens the player at the answer and carries the transcript version and tier. Every recording and segment page ends with these forms ready to copy. For example, for Does Edip Yuksel believe in praying five times a day?:

To point at the exact words, add the time: a checked position's sentence is linked at its second on YouTube and on the segment page (?t=<seconds>). More on citing
