What this part covers
machinesummary, machine-writtenOne transmitter of the return reports went blind, lost his memory and relied on his slave girl to check his hadith, which Mufti Abu Layth says shows the state of some of these narrators.
In more detail
Mufti Abu Layth says that in one of the chains before the Ibn Mas'ud report is a narrator, Yazid [?], who transmits that Jesus will return and who is not only unreliable: al-Khatib al-Baghdadi [?] records that he went blind later in life, his memory weakened, and he would ask his slave girl about whatever he was doubtful of. He builds an extended comic scene of the slave girl, whose origin nobody knows and who he says was probably a Christian, sat down to do the research and confirming that Jesus is coming. He says this was the situation of some of the people transmitting these hadith, and asks how, then, people can say such material cannot be questioned.

what on earth is going on seriously i mean what on earth is going on here uh this is so preposterous honestly and you know people say that we can't problematize these hadith you know i wanted to highlight to you you know in one of the chains just before the ibnomus odd one uh there was uh there's in one of the chains there's this person yes he's in the chain not only now check this out this is a person who's transmitting this that jesus will come back not only is he not reliable and people
have problematized him look what they transmit about him baghdadi says he became blind later on in life and his memory naturally got weak yesterday so how would he know what is going on he would get his slave girl to he would ask her whatever he was doubtful about he would ask her yet
allah you would ask her to do the research so basically you've got this slave girl who's god knows where she's from and this put like a a bug on her head and they just sit her down and they go to her that a cha he used to say to her can you do the research so this slave girl just goes
yeah i think jesus is coming [Music] [Laughter] this was the situation of these people who were transmitting hadith because the bachara has gone blind he would ask a slave girl god no she's probably a christian and you know they just sit her down and make [Laughter]
sit down here's the slave girl sitting there she's like ah jesus is coming oh yeah jesus man honestly i don't then they say why can you question this stuff how can we not question it how can we not question it i mean there's bloody sperm blizzards that are happening and we gotta kind of watch out for god knows showers of sperm coming down and there's gotta be i don't know sperm banks up there under
the throne of god and these slave girls who are sitting as mad [Laughter] i mean how does this stuff seriously how is this not questionable if if it goes against reason so this is my point that when you have these beliefs that look uh that you know all these things and i will go through the rest of this as well
