this is just a theoretical kind of discussion on it these things would all slavery would be categorically Haram I have explained that and it's it's interesting to know that even several amount before the UN kind of resolution to ban slavery worldwide was embraced many Muslims over a century and maybe century and a half earlier and in some places maybe two centuries earlier many Muslim and amongst the many Maliki subhanAllah if not sure who I mentioned his chef Araya he and other people had
issued Fatah WA saying forbidding slavery and the trade of slavery that was taking place at that time let's say in Africa and they said this was Haram and there were other molecule amount as well from places like Mali and other places who had issued the Fatah WA way before - three centuries even before it was you know passed as a resolution by the UN that slavery was Haram in Islam okay so and I've explained this previously about trajectory hermeneutics that Islam set it up and it wanted to
it's not that it because slavery was so embedded so it set the rulings with a trajectory that when human ethics would develop to that level it would reach the trajectory it was like an arc and sorry an arch kind of like that and so as it would reach that it would actually and the ruling would be active and slavery would be made Haram so that's trajectory hermeneutics okay that's what we call that kind of that trajectory ethics so now so with that female slaves as well the question is well traditionally how were they first
of all how are they different two wives they weren't wives they were slaves I suppose the reason the question is being asked and it's asked in many of the places how were men allowed to have sex with them and this is at this point that all the guys call god damned if only we still have only we still had this still going on all of us
iced well on that thought all the guys just take five but to be fair life would just be so uncomplicated just had a countless supply of just to resort to just four people are like don't worry don't worry I'm coming yeah I'm yeah let's go into the gym boy have I done my cardio or for the day I've got five I've managed to buy five different ones that
I've kept within a strategic location and I just kind of visit these flats so the thing is now you see the question is what how were they how was this allowed right this is a very complicated question because you see first of all to understand it from our perspective is very difficult because we see this obviously from a 21st century perspective when the whole world has now been transformed and a lot of things have changed and obviously slavery no longer exists
so easy people how did Islam condone this you see the thing is in my understanding and this is my understanding and I don't know at this point how I understand these things is that back then slavery was different first of all our Patrol picture of slavery that comes to mind is is obviously the African transatlantic kind of slavery which is not how slavery was back then it was it was more like how you see certain kind of servants and things like this in in the east it was like that so and how we know this is
because it's it's abundantly found the kind of duties that slaves would do and they would do things like they were in charge of the money they were in charge of going and trade they were in charge of traveling to different cities buying stock and doing this so it wasn't and they wouldn't you see the fact that they wouldn't even escape it kind of I could never find them I mean we can't fathom that so I mean if somebody trapped me as a slave now right st.
no fantasy but so if somebody all of a sudden I'm like oh and now I'm there and somebody's like oh you got to do work come on goddamn it you gotta work and then they give me all this money and say hey look hey here's these credit cards why don't you go to this different City and buy me some stocks I'll be like hello yeah don't worry I got this to work but I'll see you I'll see you yeah yeah girls 400 on I'll see you mate I'll be out there chilling spending that money shooting back to wherever I came from saying people you won't believe it
but I've made a grand escape but that hardly ever happened in the past and you see so what I'm trying to say is we have to understand that their mindset was very different very different now the other thing that was very different which once again we can't understand exactly was the attitude toward sex it was very different it was entirely not a taboo in fact it was a bit too natural it was so natural that it would make muslims today way uncomfortable and it was so it
was so natural that it was far ahead of kind of modern liberal standards in the Western world and that sounds crazy but it's how it was and I give their reference a bit similar to how the kind of and this because the only reference I can seem to find that has been popularized again in the modern world is like the Viking lifestyle they had a very different attitude that's how the Arabs at the time worked with sex they were just very super casual about things like this and obvious I mean we just find it way too weird but they would like that so they were just like yeah oh
yeah sad sex it's just there was there so it was so different to them so what happens is everybody but they were all a part of that culture and to female slaves that was a part of that kind of understanding that oh it's a bit like saying like I give you an example this is it's maybe a I don't know but as an analogy to give an example well let's say today let's say you have a job so you work you go to the office and in your in your office you happen to be I
don't know you could be an assistant or you could be a I don't know let's say you've got some kind of whatever you could you could be even a solicitor you could be anything you could be doing something very official you're working away but you've got a senior to you and you know whether whoever is your kind of management line on you know your your your line manager so your line manager says to you are listen you can go make me a cup of coffee could you oh you're gonna get us coffee could you with get with two two sugars whatever better for now this would be seen as a normal for
most people that's just normal or let's say you work up until 5:30 and your boss comes just says listen hang about today after work and probably take another half an hour you promise go yeah alright no problem now this to you may be seen as yeah so that happens all the time that's just the nature of work all your boss say something like I listen you couldn't give me a favor you couldn't pop out and grab us a sandwich could you you say yeah sure no problem what would you like to eat now this labor that you see it seems so normal to us but imagine 50 years from
now people's attitude towards labor changes so they look back or in two hundred years or five hundred years from now and they look back at this and they say oh my god I can't believe that so you know oh my god like you were told to to make coffee like again that wasn't even pot like that was a part of your description your job description and you would just accept that how would you just accept that how would you just accept going and buying a sandwich for somebody how would you accept that because the concept of free will become
so different in the future and their work ethic changes so therefore they can't even imagine they can't even see that as what the hell you would go and but how would that even happen when you're doing this forced into this they are you being forced into this against your will because if you are given a happy choice in saying hey what would you love to do would you just love to sit on your chair would you love to run to the shop and buy me a sandwich so you'd naturally say hey I just love to sit on my chair so the point is also you are forced imposed against your will you see when you start calculating
things like that it sounds very different but today to us this sounds normal because it's part of our living culture like we don't see work ethics as we don't differentiate between these things now in a similar way back then labor like the presence of somebody or the utility of somebody they saw that as they didn't differentiate they didn't have this taboo about sex being a separate thing so they were way too natural about sex like oh it's just uh you know it's like oh if you doing something it's like well
you haven't takes it does so this is why it was in that culture that Islam was revealed and therefore it would you see you couldn't change entire mindsets so this is one of the reasons I think that that that was condoned because they saw that they didn't have a delineating kind of factor to sex and just general utility or general work or general and the other thing is as well I think there was that pragmatism to it as well that
to be honest with you I think most men if you're gonna leave them around just in control is a better word in control of several women then is gonna be some what can we say this can they're gonna mix business with pleasure shall we put it like that so you see I have explained in my previous video on slavery which is on YouTube that I've explained that the day and age we've got to understand the mindset Islam did not take on slavery do
not tackle it by the horns because it would have felt that it was a mission that would one compromise the actual mission he came for and to it was not to be achieved in that day and age because the general collective consciousness over people just will not embrace it now we may feel that yeah that sounds strange because it does to us in this day and age but in that day and age that was the mindset of the people it was just a given and I gave an analogy and by saying something like let's say people in the future abolish all
governments and then they look back at our day and age and they say like can you believe these people would allow a group of people to rule and govern over them and that those people could even take taxes without these people having a say and they may find this incredibly tyrannical in the future but to us we just find it normal we think oh no that's not tyranny that's just normal everybody does it how else do you expect people to rule so because the way consciousness the collective consciousness of a society of all societies and and I know from what I've
heard that ancient Indian civilizations the Indus Valley Civilisation of hood did not have slavery and things like that and if that be true I commend and I think they think the ancient Indus Valley Civilisation is an awesome incredible kind of civilization anyway but and it's something that needs to be much more learnt about but putting that aside the people generally all societies had that as part of their collective consciousness now because people would not they weren't seeing it they weren't perceiving perception hadn't taken that in to the
consciousness to them it was like oh yeah this is just normal so it would to them it was more about the conditions and about getting freedom so Islam and to be fair Jonathan Brown did highlight that Islam did encourage unquestionably encouraged emancipation which it did and it saw that as a route until the time would come that social perception would change and allow me to give you an example people I call this I call this the the ambiguous picture effect on
consciousness and I I'm going to you see I'm going to give you an example this is the saying what some people some psychologists call the reversible pictures or reversible images or it's called the ambiguous picture effect a picture that has two pictures in it now you can see that some people they can only see one picture now the human mind the human psyche works like that now in some stages in some scenarios it's easier to see both in some you can only see one there is for example the young lady this
is a chin and she's looking away her faces away that's the top of her her and that's her neck and what if and she's got this coat on oh this is an old lady that's her nose that's a mouth lips and her chin and this is a kind of hat and she's kind of got a sunken head she's looking kind of like down so this is a reversible image or a ambiguous picture it's called in psychology as well it's from an optical illusion but the point is once sometimes you can only see one but the moment you see the other you can
no longer unsee it so the human consciousness works in a similar way you see sometimes there's certain realizations that wants humans they see it it becomes part of the way this enters your consciousness collective consciousness works in a similar way let me give you an example now you look at this people this was the trophy for the 2014 I don't really watch sports or football I believe it was the Brazilian kind of Cup trophy fee fell whatever the World Cup now you can see that there now you see as an example of things once you
see them you can't no longer unsee them you can see the trophy here but right you can see the trophy but now I want you to realize that actually it shows a facepalm it shows as well a person doing the facepalm effect you see now the moment I show it to you now you won't be able to unsee it so every time you see that now you will see the facepalm effect that is the power of
consciousness that's how it works sometimes some ideas until you don't see them they don't impact you in the same way the moment you see them and realize them everything changes now you can't judge that person as when pre perception so you see in a similar way that's on an individual level this is on an individual level now take that consciousness to a collective consciousness as Durkheim and these other people spoke of them what I believe in there is a collective consciousness in society you see now
once we see something in a particular way once we see a certain concept of freedom we can't unsee it now now we can't hold those to account who couldn't or didn't see it like that so we can say that now that we see it yes this is definitely wrong and it has been wrong but because Society and the collective consciousness wasn't perceiving it in that way we can't hold them to task with the same kind of I mean we can hold obviously we can hold individual things to task but we can't hold a whole of
humanity to task for a perception that they couldn't see in the same way as we see it so this what i'm terming the ambiguous picture effect on the collective consciousness or the collective psyche of humanity is what needs to be taken into consideration so the three axioms that Jonathan brown presented his whole talk on were actually a false flag in my understanding of a misrepresentation or there were a shallow analysis yes slavery is always wrong because what gives you the right to to own someone
and he said well what does that even mean when you employ someone yes that's logical I get that but yes other things have problems but let's just be honest possession ownership is a social construct and owning another human being right is a problem there's no good way about it right yes there's utility in it yes you can utilize it yes we may people humans have used it in the past but it is not a good thing but people have done it I get that of course things and I get that it made a lot of achievements I also get the fact that in the past people because it was so ubiquitous and everywhere they
didn't see it in the way that we're seeing it today so saying that it must have always been wrong yes it was always wrong now that we can see a different side of the picture but in that day and age to them we understand that oh they didn't they couldn't see that side of the picture as a society it hadn't just realized for them it doesn't mean they were dumb so he gave the example of saying also you're trying to say you're more morally intellectually superior than Aristotle that's not the same it's the example of this you see you if the fact you never saw the facepalm wasn't
because you were dumb or you're stupid it's just that some things once they enter the neural consciousness the neural correlates see it they can never unsee it that's
