The answer in brief
machinesummary, machine-writtenNo: he does not believe in a great reset or depopulation plot by governments, though some individuals may wish for such a thing.
In more detail
Taking a chat question on the great reset and depopulation, Mufti Abu Layth says he does not think there is a super plot in which the powers of the world have converged to bring about a great reset. He accepts that many people, though not the majority, may wish the world were reset by a disaster. He compares the Netflix drama Sacred Games 2, whose plot is a nuclear reset after which a generation preserved in bunkers repopulates the globe. He says it would not surprise him that some nutcases dream of this, but he does not buy into such conspiracies about governments.

So, let's move on people. Great reset and depopulation thoughts. I you know I don't right so I the great reset or you know depopulating the globe I don't think there's a um super plot at play where I don't know the the powers that be in the globe have kind of converted
emerged and met forces to do this great reset. I don't think anything like that is happening. However, I do feel that there there are I mean I do accept that there are many people on this globe that may have when I say many I don't mean the majority I mean there are many amongst the majority who may carry these kind of wishes and aspirations that you know we wish the world was reset and you know the should be a complete disaster.
I I mean I don't know if you remember the Sacred Games 2 when it came out. So the whole plot in it was this great reset you know this galyug um I mean it's an Indian drama on Netflix but um it was about triggering a nuclear kind of reaction so the whole globe can pretty much be destroyed and this new uh generation that are preserved in the bunkers can emerge and repopulate the globe.
Now, although that's a a fictitious um drama, but I it wouldn't surprise me that many there's certain nutcases out there that have this kind of a a dream or a nightmare, may I say, but I don't think anything like this is at play with the governments and things like this. I don't buy into any of those kind of conspiracies.
