As-salamu alaykum, folks. It's been quite a few days, and it's been Eid as well. So, a very blessed and belated Eid Mubarak to you all. Shukran for all your love. It's been now over 40 days, and I just want to share a reflection on that.

You know, this 40-day I never used to think much of it. Um yet, it is a custom found throughout many parts of the world. Through other faiths, you'll see it in whether it's the Eastern Orthodox, the Russian, or the Muslim have it everywhere, the Arba'een, yeah. Uh throughout various parts of the Arab world, the Desi culture, the Chaliswa.

And I was often in the past very dismissive of these things, because from a Qur'an and Sunnah perspective, you don't see much. Uh there's no traditions about a 40-day that are sound. That said, I've come to learn that the from an experiential perspective, there is something that as a 40-day period passes,

there's like a a shift in in just a a state, an internal state, almost. And I guess the the ancients and the people of old, they they had wisdom to the ways and methods and And I'm not discussing about it from a the Bida'ah versus good Bida'ah perspective or even the Isal of Thawab,

You know, it's about the oak and tasting experiencing, walking with There's an Urdu poem where the poet says that that all the you know, the the the trials and the difficulties or the sorrows I went through

that it's only when people went through them There is something profound. So, I I wonder how uh you guys, if many of you have experienced the similar a shift in in just uh in reality, in in in some return to normalcy and normality.
