much love for the super chat um is islam supposed to be easy or is it normal to feel like you have to make huge sacrifices um i think islam the deen is meant to complement your life and not impede it you see so the deen is not meant to be difficult in my perspective people may disagree some people may say that deen is meant to be about hardships to me the deen is not meant to be about hardships it's meant to be about it's meant to complement your life and not impede it but life will have difficulties

you see so it's not the being is the light that is shining on the path the path is a stony path that's it so you have to the path is rocky it's rocky terrain that's life there'll be some smooth some up some down the deen is like the light it's the moon shining down giving you that light okay to me it's not meant to be difficult that would be like clouding eclipsing it um to some people they may feel that gives them meaning and the deen is meant to be difficult but really it's not

um imam shatterby has a whole section in his mother where he he's he says that people who seek out hardship he says seeking out hardship in and of itself as hardship he says is forbidden in islam uh surprisingly his opinion seems to be counter-culture even though he's addressing it as a mainstream view he says that hardships happen because life happens and your reward is more immense but to seek out hardships is he argues forbidden in islam and so it's a person shouldn't

so for example let me give an example let's say a person thinks i know um like let's say uh i'm going to like i have a choice let's say i've got an injury and i've got an injury on my body and and i think well you know what i'm going to do i'm going to do what i have here the islam tells me to do let's say the doctor said oh if you wash it you could get infected but i say but so what if i get infected i'll suffer

and suffering will be forgotten i'll put up with this you know this is oh my iman that's not iman that is just lacking in a true understanding of islam okay allah wants you to take the other options so allah has created them we didn't come up with it allah tells us about in the quran so it's almost like you're you you you're coming from a place of love i get it for for greater sacrifice
