in recent days it is now as we speak on the brink of a full scale war what are my thoughts on this i've spoken previously that there are certain layers to this issue to the to the gaza or palestinian crisis issue first and foremost we make the art that may allah grantees
to the palestinians and protect them and any who are struggling or victims worldwide i mean there are layers to this crisis one layer is that of the illegal israeli occupancy that they have moved in illegally they have expanded and of late what we saw in the area where the court had ruled to forcibly remove palestinians from a set number of
homes and to forcibly occupy those homes as part of the israeli expansionism so that's a clear layer that has been um that has been spoken against in the united nations security council um the the global community has made clear its outrage on these matters even recent media has to some part um some parts of it has uh has been fear in highlighting this issue against when speaking against for example the israeli ambassador
and other diplomats this is clearly an oppression forcibly taking something property land usurping it wealth um and just devastating the original inhabitants leaving them homeless and just telling them to just go fend for yourself or become refugees this is clearly part of a a crime against humanity there are other layers to this conflict as well
so amongst them a religious aspect but we'll come to that in a moment then you have politics and unfortunately most of this gaza crisis and the palestinian plight is is actually riddled in immense politics which at times is um given a veneer of religion or resistance by other elements in the international community so part of this just to to throw some
elements in there is one the newly found gulf relationship the uh you know the normalization of relations between the gulf between the uae saudi arabia egypt and israel because they've been normalizing relations now so part of this tests the the fabric of that newly found friendship and and it seems to have stood
uh the test because they've not reacted another element political element is netanyahu seems to have found himself to be [Music] quite unfavorable politically in israel with upcoming elections there's certain investigations against him things like this which have left him quite his his position they've left it quite precarious and insecure so the oldest uh trick in the trade fear whenever
a people there's been a lot of uh sociological studies recently on whenever people feel um afraid feel more frightened there's just an impending uncertainty in the year people often resort to more conservative values they tend to lean in towards the right that's what a lot of research demonstrates so that's another angle of what seems to be going on then there is uh an element of the
arab neighbors who are always to some extent they are glad that there is a buffer of palestine between them and israel so the west bank for jordan uh gaza strip for isr for egypt you see these buffers allow them not to be direct neighbors in that sense or on that part with israel because they now they themselves have a sense of insecurity and fear so to some extent it serves their own personal
uh interests to maintain a palestine palestinian buffer between them and israel these are just some of the issues that we are aware of allah knows what really is going on behind the scene how many other countless variables are at play we genuinely do not know moving to what can be actually done now here this matter becomes incredibly complex
because yes the global community can create an outrage and that is necessary that they do but the truth is israel acts with impunity it doesn't care i mean there's several united nations security council resolutions against israel israel just simply does not care uh biden recently he whilst to some somewhat criticizing israel's behavior he wasn't shy to remark that the actions however were not um
out of proportion and although other countries have condemned israel but israel for the most part just does not care and there's nothing that they can physically do to stop them or it's not in their interest either way they're not really going to physically stop the atrocities at most they will just simply request so yes global a global outcry is necessary but in all honesty it doesn't is it effective is the question so it is necessary that it must
be done as opposed to just being silent and and this outcry is by governments it's by positions of power and people for the most part as well can create an awareness people can boycott economically israeli products or israeli bran amongst other forms of boycott on a side note it is incredibly important not to one try to guilt-trip other muslims for the most part we have to understand
just on a tangent here that most muslim muslim circles so let's say a person is on social media they have i don't know let's say 500 friends or 300 friends most of these people one does not really engage with so sociologically they say a person's circle may expand up to 150 known people that they have some contact with you may create an awareness you may create posts you may highlight um the struggle for the most part everybody that is in your circle
already is away and and that's you know for that that's mostly accurate every single person that is in your circle is aware because most muslim circles are um they're ethnic insular and they're kind of micro chambers echo chambers and everybody within those echo chambers knows what's going on so it's not an issue of this the the the gaza crisis is not a result of a lack of awareness it is not that that that said
it does not mean that people can't continue to do so they can and they should however not to guilt-trip others who are not doing it because in all honesty this uh awareness that is being made on instagram by somebody sharing a post or somebody putting up a video of um just bloodshed and which in and of itself is problematic as well because it leads to desensitization of the sanctity of blood and of massacres but still people doing this in all honesty makes zero difference to the actual crisis
israel is not going to stop because you posted something on instagram i mean for god's sake they don't stop even though the united nations security council has passed resolutions against them at the highest degree at the highest degree internationally they still refuse to stop and continue the atrocities with such impunity in front of the entire globe so an instagram post in all honesty is is nothing now that's a hard hitting truth but it is the truth but you can do it and that's wonderful in your own right but it's not
to give you a holier than thou approach into condemning others in feeling that they have not done something holding protests is another form of action that once again you can do that it creates its sensationalism for the media it demonstrates an outcry it places a certain amount of pressure on politicians who will write and present something to the house of parliament and they will try to build up some pressure on the prime minister but in all honesty although that is important to do the time frame that that takes in lobbying such
cries passing them through voting them um the prime minister you know taking some action and any form of action is at most a request they simply request israel to just seize what it's doing and israel as i've highlighted just simply does not care and on another side note in here is an example of what not to do in birmingham there was just yesterday a protest of blocking the roads in towards city center just
rush hour so as people are leaving from work people had decided protesters to just block the road uh an expressway the main roads coming in and out of the city center with their vehicles this is an utter disservice to the palestinian cause you have to understand that people trying to justify this by stating that oh but we are frustrated and angry one it does not give anybody the right to break the law two you are just harming and causing great distress to other fellow civilians who have
nothing to do with this three that you are actually increasing the sentiment against what is going on in palestine so if if anybody i shared on my story on instagram there were many people commenting about the this blockade these protests uh stating that ambulances two ambulances had got stuck they couldn't get through there was a child that a family were trying to take to the birmingham children's hospital they could not take the child for you know an hour or whatever it was this kind of action is
utterly disgraceful whoever is suggesting these kind of ridiculously absurd ideas really needs to check themselves because they are doing a disservice to what is a humanitarian cause so yes of course people are frustrated but being frustrated does not mean that you do something stupid or just dumb an action is not does not equate to a meaningful action okay right now here people come back to well what could be the possible solution well one
immediate um hope is that there is some return to somewhat of a status quo a de-escalate de-escalation of war and a ceasefire now that's in all honesty going to just be a global request and when israel decides to do so they will do so we truly speaking for a great part maybe not absolutely but for a great part are helpless in this scenario and i understand that that's a hard bitter truth but it is the truth
now in terms of actually zooming out and assessing the situation and looking for some solutions really we have to accept that as tyrannical as israel is it is here to stay it is not going anywhere now that only leaves a certain amount of solutions one would be a two-state solution which israel would not allow just because of the given circumstances but that is something that people could push for the other as ironic as it may sound
but currently israel has i believe over 20 of its population are arabs in israel currently i believe it may be 21 or 22 percent of israel is arab the other somewhat counterintuitive solution would be to have the entire palestine naturalized because it's already under israel so currently palestine is not a sovereign state it receives its annual finances
through israel it receives all of its real uh airports and its currency its um its uh whether you're looking at passports they will all be israeli palestine is not a sovereign international state so somewhat of a counter-intuitive but that is at least a resolution the third is relocation and as shocking as that may sound and this is what um scholars like albany had given the fatwa for for hijrah
for the muslims there to migrate now people may say well you know that is a defeatist position but it's also a realistic one you see you can give a parallel of a home on fire okay if it's a a sudden fire the immediate knee-jerk reaction of any individual is to control and put out the fire regardless of any immediate self-harm however there comes a point where there is an
assessment that there is just way too that this fire is uncontrollable or that a person can not put this fire out they are forced to evacuate the premise regardless of um regardless of the kind of monetary value or sentimental value that they have for that home the priority becomes to save their lives and the lives of their loved ones and their children this becomes a priority so this this raza israel
war is not a war it is a genocide and people have to you see the reality is that that's all it is they cannot that this is all it results is in exponential palestinian deaths and ongoing generational trauma but people are not ready to have this conversation this is a problem because a global community there are elements within the global community that are almost coward shaming and egging on palestinians towards martyrdom
and and the palestinians have an um and they have displayed incredible valor and courage i mean their bravery is of of biblical proportions that's how um you know how that's how astoundingly brave they have been but just to egg them on from the comforts of your home whilst you sit with your loved ones to say well oh it's okay just die for the cause have your children killed for the cause it's
this is an armchair coward approach okay now the truth is this ties back into that political buffer zone uh theory that you see a lot of the neighboring arab countries want there to be a palestinian um buffer zone to safeguard their own interests and then there's the international um coward shaming and then there's the religious center mentality which is also put there that this is the holiest of holies or the little haramain and that is a discussion in and of
itself look if we're going to briefly um and i'll i'll go into this on another occasion but if we're going to briefly recognize that look let's take a look at the jewish claim historians today and anthropologists have dug extensively extensively for the kingdom of david for the kingdom of solomon for any kind of archaeological find that could substantiate the united monarchy or the great
is you know kingdoms of israel to have existed and nothing has been found nothing there is really i mean i know that once tiny um kind of inscription but nothing really and you you you would have expected an abundance of material yet the jewish claim that the great kingdom of solomon and david were here remain unfounded and in fact science today shows us anthropology
archaeology history it seems to show us that they've got it wrong that it's not david and solomon either were not here or if they were they definitely did not enjoy this vast kingdom that the um that the jewish people claim they did now we as muslims can find that very reasonable to accept i mean we may think that the fact that the israelis got this wrong and the jewish people got this wrong is a very reasonable uh statement and we we wouldn't really struggle to
accept that we would think well yeah well the jewish people have got many things wrong now surprisingly we don't look at our own literature our own tradition with a similar narrative because when we look at our own narrations we also find there's a huge distinction on what was ever meant by masjid al-aqsa and what was ever meant by the first qibla now that is a and this is why many of the early mufasirin did feel that that you know there were several early scholars in islam did feel that at the farthest
point where the prophet did sued was they felt it was the heavens not in jerusalem being the father's point the other element was that this the way the prophet those who believed that the prophet went to jerusalem whether it was many companions believed it was a vision like the allah but those who believe that it was a physical uh visit that the prophet sallallahu alaihi went there nobody knows where that place was it was only shown to um by
a jewish person who was never there he he just told um oh this is where the prophet allegedly came did not transform that into something huge it was only in the umayyad caliphate now these are once again bitter truths which we don't want to really open up this pandora's box but the truth is it was abdul malik and it was the umayyad caliphate that did a huge amount of jerusalem propaganda to rival
abdullah zubair in mecca and they fabricated a hell of a lot of hadith and they did a lot of this just to um create a holy ground for them in sham and this is omega um just omega's grooming and propaganda that you know has still gone on today that we are still a victim of that said it it does not detract the slightest from the gaza crisis or the palestinian plight and it does not mean that
our sentiments for this humanitarian cause should diminish in the slightest not at all but you can already understand the immense politics that is going on here the polit the current politics the politics of history the you because on one hand you've got the israelis who are also using religion they are used it is the same god of it is the same god it is the god of abraham they are saying the same god has told them
to go and take the land take it by force that is the promised land then it is that same god that we are then arguing is telling us in the quran so this is why you have this veneer of religion that the rest of the world that are not abrahamic are looking at and thinking well you know that this is just some this is what religion does to people so you have that element in the mix then you have the politics of history you have the jewish great kingdom of solomon the great kingdom of david which is nowhere to be found
archaeologically today not theory it was most likely in egypt and that's a different discussion but it definitely is nowhere to be found in uh in israel modern-day israel and then you've got the the historical politics of of the of the umayyad dynasty in early islam and all of what they've done and then the abbasids after them and we've got current day politics of the arab nations trying to maintain buffer zones between them and israel you've got the politics of the normalization
that saudi arabia other gulf states the uae egypt aru have moved towards normalizing relations with israel they've already moved towards this they've already signed huge huge deals huge economic deals huge kind of um there's a lot going on and there's a lot more that we don't even know about then you've got the politics of netanyahu losing um losing politically and then just as always war trump swords pulling out the war card and just going utter right wing and rallying a cry against the palestinians and in
all of this it is the innocent that die it is the innocent that bleed may allah make things easy and this leaves once again the question that what can people do the yes and i've mentioned before you can do take practical steps place a certain amount of pressure on your local members of parliament allow them to stress to the house of parliament allow them to increase somewhat of that stress on israel even though that's really not going to be so effective as we know as history
already tells us economic boycotts um are something that have actually created some impact on israel traditionally and then there is the the unfortunate truth and it is a hard truth that for the most part the everyday person you and i are helpless we can make dua but we are helpless just because of people not refusing to enter into some meaningful negotiation what can people do and that may sound um
to some people as a failing option but in all honesty one has to be real it is not this land is never worth the genocide the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam did teach people to migrate in fact that is when the islamic calendar begins with hijala and this does not mean that every place where somebody comes that a person has to migrate but there has to be an assessment if it's going to be a genocide then of course or enter into some other meaningful negotiation which once again doesn't serve
the neighboring arab political governments and therefore they do not encourage the palestinians to do that in fact they encourage people globally encourage them to maintain somewhat of a very incredibly one-sided resistance may allah have mercy on um on people struggling may allah bring about ease for them i mean it is horrifying wallahi to to just see these images it tears one's heart wallahi
you know may allah have mercy may allah protect them i shared these thoughts because several people had asked me people may disagree you may at the end of this think that what i'm saying is utterly uh useless that it is and it is an opinion it is a way of looking at things if you feel after listening to this that that you can actually go about affect actual change then go about an effect actual change please affect it
may allah grant ease to those who are suffering i mean foreign
