I've answered this before. In fact, last week I read from the text and I showed that there's been a valid difference of opinion from the time of the companions that did the prophet physically go to Jerusalem or as God yard and as Abu Walid ibn Hajar al-Uthaymeen and as al-Suhayli and as Ibn Ishaq transmit, did he go in a dream?
Was it a vision? And some companions, great some great companions like the wife of the prophet Aisha and the great companion Muawiyah and him believed it was simply a vision in line with the verse of the Quran or my general idea that in Surat al-Isra, we did not make the vision we showed you except a fitna for people. Now, they believe that I find myself in line with them that it was a vision.
This is what the verse of the Quran I'm going with the apparent reading of the Quran and I am in blessed and great company, the company of Aisha and Muawiyah. So, uh and having a Buraq in a vision, there's no harm in that because it's still a vision. So, in a vision you can have many things, you know, because the prophet is traveling through he's seeing people here, he's seeing them over there, he's they moving about and he's seeing them on the skies and there's some parts of that which everybody would agree is a vision.
So, for example, the prophet is seeing hell, he's already seeing people in hell being punished. Now, hell nobody's being punished because the day of judgment hasn't happened. So, nobody he's already seeing people in in paradise, nobody's gone to paradise. The prophet saying things like look, oh I heard the footsteps of Bilal behind me. None of these things are actually happening. These things that people are saying everybody accepts these things as vision.
The question is was the rest of it a vision? So, some companions held that you can disagree. I'm not telling you no like there's no compulsion in Islam. You can do whatever you believe whatever the hell you want. Don't worry about it. It's all good. But if you want to take this understanding which is the apparent reading of the Quran and it was the understanding of the some of the great companions, some of the great companions and that's there.
Okay.
