question this is referring to the concept known as imak okay imak not what is translated in modern Arabic as uh constipation that's not what we talking about imak right is is withh is is holding holding back and what it means here is um that if you had a valid reason like let's say you're a traveler or as in this example a woman is upon
her mental cycle so she does not need to fast but they embarked upon okay let's say in this particular example she was already fasting and then this kind of happened the cycle began but it could be that you were a traveler and you've just got back today so you're flying out you're coming back uh oh mu is flying back in from where should we say somewhere holy not but anyway he's flying back in so you land back and you still got half the day left but your suffer is over now so you're not a traveler anymore you're at
home do can you just carry on indulging in food because technically you're not fasting or do you have to um abide by the rules of this of withholding out of sanctity for this month okay now generally the the say that a person who had a valid reason to be not fasting to you know so as this example is the menstruation or traveling or was Ill or whatever the reason but it was a valid
reason to not fast they do not need to hold back they can carry on eating okay they can indulge they can because for them Allah had made it permissible there's no need to kind of hold back and that generally really is I mean that is the m of IM Malik IM sha you will get that is although the M of IM Abu hanif does say that these people should hold back out of respect and for the sanctity of the month and respecting other people too so Imam Abu hanifah does speak about
imak but um the other imams didn't disagreed they felt there was no need really to hold back uh that's not the same however as people who violate the fast okay so let's say now I'm fasting and then I violate it I go oh what the hell I can't hack this I'm drinking this or whatever and then I say now that I've broken it hey what the hell let's Feast you know like now I bring out a big feast and I'm chilling and no I'm munching so I should have some I should
have I should show some respect to the s itty of the month so even if I violated it I should still withhold okay hold back in other words but that's if I don't have a valid reason if I have a valid reason it's all good and don't worry about it okay so it's all good inshallah right Another One Bites the Dust next question
