Visit The Graveyard | ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ | #Reflections #Mindfulness

As-salamu alaykum, folks. I wanted to share a few words about visiting the graveyard. There's a Hadith of the Prophet Sallallahu alayhi wasallam that kuntum nahaytukum that I had told you off and prohibited going to the graveyards.

Ala fazuruha, but now visit them. Fa-innaha tudhakkirukum bil-mawt. The graveyard will remind you of death. You know, this visiting it is so much more than just

attending saying salaam, although that's unquestionably valuable. This surah of the Quran, Surah Takathur, that alhakumut takathur, that you know, this amassing the dunya, it distracts you.

Hatta zurtumul maqabir, until you visit the graveyard. Now, one layer of understanding can is that when we die, but also, you know, one understanding we I take is until we visit. Just to visit. Because the state, the plane of consciousness that it puts us in.

And when you're here, you know, we we make dua, we recite Surah Fatiha, um Surah Yasin. But in addition to that, sometimes just use the opportunity to just be still.

Like once you've done that, just nothing. Just sit there. And just look into the horizon, into the other graves that you can See, just be still. Let your thoughts just just come and go.

Doesn't matter. But bring yourself into the now. You know, this we ever have been. You know, in that now is where we will find Allah.

You'll find, you know, as you sit here in silence, just sit, you know, a few minutes, whatever it takes, more if you can, 5 15, whatever. That you'll find the the ego side of us just almost dissipating.

As as we become almost one with the moment. Just sit. Breathe. Just allow a natural frame of mind that whatever is coming that we are just in this moment that this is our reality.
