i'd like to uh whilst we're beginning make a dua for ustad osama cannon who's passed away may after battling with als may allah bless his afterlife grant him an elevated makami genital fertos and grant his family ease yeah you know

right i've seen a lot of posts i didn't make a post about ustad osama cannon i mean i didn't feel the need to do so i thought well i think everybody pretty much knows and yeah but i want to say that i saw a lot of very nice posts about him which is brilliant and much needed but at the same time it kind of

uh it disappointed me you see us if we're going to be honest was betrayed by his own community by the imams by the clerics by the the industry um and he was just left out you know hung to dry you just kind of like

just left there really just to bleed out metaphorically and i'm not saying about right or wrong i actually did speak out about his case previously and spoke out about uh the kind of cries outcries that people were making against him against him and i did state as always that look this trial by media is just this it's nothing but pantomime okay

and there's unfortunately we have a generation of social media narcissists who are just this generation me me me me and you can't really pander to these people if there's ever issues that are criminal people should pursue them through the legal roots if there's other things people should but they should i like it just seeing all these nice words that people were now saying about him that he passed away and when he was

defenseless and people were attacking him left right and center and his center his own creation ta'alief was snatched away from him from what i'm aware of allahu alam but he was removed and this is something he created and people profited of him and he was in a debilitating disabled state and yet no imam i'm not aware of really spoke out in any kind of defense even for him not even a nice word you know because it was too dangerous

for their own credibility it was too um it would bring too much heat and it's not worth the fight but now that he passes it's nice to say something nice you always come out as another good guy and it's disenchanting isn't it it's disenchanting i you know i i i saw it and a lot of people and it's nice that these things are being said and may allah bless his afterlife but we as a community

are really just a shambles ain't we as a muslim community this is why you know i i don't these are my thoughts i'm saying them as i feel them i've always you know been someone that i will just speak my mind if i want to say something i'll say it and yeah you know it um

that's excuse that that's uh there's uh there's a poem actually it'll be quite relevant it is real the poet says [Laughter] says if i'm not even if i'm young so what he says i've seen all phases of life the landscape of life i've seen it he says i've seen the deceptive smiles of

people and i've seen the hidden daggers that people carry but yeah may allah ah bless him i don't know it was you know i i i thought chello let's say it it may upset some people but nothing new there
