10:15

the damn thing so right people sugar and clear for that let's begin right so let's start with right

10:59

some of these verses [Music] some of these verses of the quran i feel are incredibly misunderstood by people and they are verses to do with versus to do with piety and i think this is too crucial not to address so

11:37

one of the words important words that comes for piety in the arabic language is ber okay and you will see that this coming on various occasions throughout the quran it comes on a number of occasions and we'll take a look at some of these verses it's linked to the name of allah al-barr as well so and you see it in popular hadith with where people are asking the prophet salallahu who do i show this virtue to who do i and the prophet says your mother so that hadith has it as well and this it's an incredibly common word

12:16

now what i'd like us to do is take a look at some of these verses see just as i okay right let's i have to get the hang of this so lo siento lo siento right now

12:53

you probably can't see that but you can hear hopefully um so here we're taking a look at some of these verses from suratul baqarah now this is first of all there's a lengthier one now people before we just take a look at some of these verses we're going to take a look at about four verses i want us to understand a lot of people think that piety that this it translates as

13:31

proximity to allah proximity to god and in many ways that is correct you see your piety does render you either closer or farther away from god the problem is in the word piety many people assume that piety is rituals that we performing our certain rituals is what makes us pious so the fact that this person prays

14:11

i don't know prays in addition to his or her five salah they pray to hajjud now the fact that this person does dikka now these are amazing things to do these are acts of ibadah not to be undermined but this is not really the definition of getting close of beer in the quran that we find so taking a look at the quran so we've got here

14:44

bring these verses up again so from surah al bahara now lay sal now look at this it's negating bir this is not piety now this is quite interesting now this is not piety that you turn your faces towards the east or the west now this does go on to mention that what piety it says

15:17

that yes piety begins it does have bringing faith but faith is something in the heart bella that you believe in these constructs but then it goes on to explain the outward aspect of beer of piety so what is it so we've got the belief thing so we've said yes believe but that's in here so what about the the piety coming to life the 3d the interactionist approach what is it

15:57

a person who spends money on his relatives orphans masakeen people who are poor webness sabile then it mentions okay so you've done these things then it does go on to say well of course nobody is negating that worship and the power of ritual is an important and in fact what we'll do one of the days is we'll have an entire session on the power of ritual nobody's negating that but straight away it goes back to

16:36

mufona so people who are true to their word now you see coming back to a social once again so it begins with the heart expands on people on helping human being a human being a decent human being and then it says yes of course you have worship but then it goes straight back to well of their word okay but then in life it is it is

17:14

inevitable that we will face problems it is inevitable so it says straight away people who are patient in these times of difficulty wayne and notice it says those are the people who remain true true to what true to god true to the prophet sallallahu alaihi sallam true to their faith and true to this piety this is these are the real people the mistake the people

17:53

to who who embody epitomize the reality of their faith and of piety and this is something i want to come to these are the people of taqwa okay so right moving to verse 189 you've got here yes and this is still surah so we're still on that where you can see in the green there now this is we won't go into too much depth about the context of this verse but how it can relate to us so it does it begins yes

18:33

that they are asking the prophet about or they're asking god about th in this case the moon but it doesn't mean just the moon it means like the kind of calendars they have and things like this and this is the definition that we're seeing here and it's incredibly important this verse we have to expand on some of this it says

19:18

there's something so incredible you're going to love syria seriously those of you that don't know uh some of the context uh to this part of the verse i'll explain it and then we'll bring it straight back to our lives today so the verse is saying that yes it begins by saying they asking you because they were asking that oh you know this calendar we've got and so on and what's important here is to understand that allah is is allowing humans to have their structures and there is

19:57

almost a continuation of the umam of the civilizations because things like that the the calendars although this verse doesn't expand that much about that it is mentioned in another verse of the quran it's interesting that this is something that began with especially the 12 months with the sumerian civilization we're talking almost 6 000 years ago and yet it's inherited by nation after nation and these are the structures and that one ummah inherits from another and

20:36

there's nothing that this is some this humans have arrived at these by different means like they may have looked at constellations and stuff like this and there's been attempts to vary that as well but we'll talk about that in another on another occasion so yes the answer is these months are there they help you with things they help you with for example the hajj that was the people that were asking were asking relation to hajj so fine it's a very practical example but okay what else it straightaway goes into explaining wait a minute you people that are trying to some of you people who are trying to be

21:15

pious okay this what do you think it is it is not entering your homes from the rear and you think what is this talking about and this is incredibly important why because this ties back to superstitions something that plagues our society even today and it plagues so many muslim societies you'll be surprised you speak to them it begins here

21:55

so some people in the time of the prophet what they'd started to do was when they set off on a pilgrimage whether it was hajj whether it was umrah what they started to do was they would once they left their homes and this there's a difference of opinions some people say once they left their home if they've forgotten something and they want to come back they weren't allowed to come through the main door some people say that no even if it wasn't about just com about if you'd forgotten something when you come back from your pilgrimage what you do is you enter through a rear window

22:33

or if you've got a door on the rear end of your home you're not allowed to come from the actual front door and if you do that's some kind of a curse or it's some kind of a violation of and now this is a ritual if you think about it it's a ritual but it's stupid and it's becoming like a curse because people felt oh my god i went through the main damn and it becomes this kind of good luck bad luck thing and it's interesting that even how many muslims today if you speak to them they

23:12

buy into a lot of these and people by extension you know oh my god the number 13 is unlucky oh oh my god touch wood touch wood i didn't touch wood there's no or i did this or the horoscope say this for me or just this any kind of superstition that gives this sense of curse and allah says that what on earth are you on about that these these things don't mean that and what i mean and this says this has been used as a proverb in the arabic language so when people's the english equivalent being almost

23:52

when in rome do as the romans do so you'll find this part of the verse of the quran is often quoted uh that you'll see here what uh you can see it there on the left hand side what i mean that enter the homes through their doors so this is often used as a proverb in the arabic language as well what's

24:22

now this is something i want to speak about this taqwa because we have a you see a lot of people have have translated taqwa in their own ways and people say fear and that's something i definitely do not like because it doesn't mean health like let's just be honest that's not the uh definition that's hof or even hashia is a slightly different to hof in the arabic language but i remember my mind trap with dr

25:01

lombard he had said a reverence and i thought well that's amazing although i think a lot of people may not relate to it i was thinking of these and people translate as god consciousness but as mindfulness with god that having or being mindful but that practicing mindfulness but with god and if you think about it that to me anyway gives a an understanding of what taqwa is speaking about i have to share this again

25:40

right so all right so right now with hajj mentioning hajj i thought it was important to mention this because i know the season of hajj has just been and it's worth kind of adding that this

26:13

that the meat that you offer and this comes back to rituals again this never will reach god that you are deluded if you are thinking that this these animals that you're sacrificing and because these whole verses also tie into hajj as well it's important that our rituals themselves mean nothing that don't think that when we do these things they somehow you know god benefits or they reach god like that and especially sacrificing animals i think that's quite important because there's been quite a bit of a

26:51

discussion on it neither the blood that people say i shed this blood in the name of god now this is incredibly important this verse 37 that you see from surah people get lost in the meaning of things and although not dwelling too much on this but one of the questions that arises is at the time of hajj like right now we

27:28

saw a lot of a mass sacrifice of animals now in some parts of the world that is very useful in providing food to countless hungry and impoverished people so alhamdulillah life it's feeding people if it's providing nourishment nutrition it's providing um things like leather and other other kind of means of goods from these animals to people of need then alhamdulillah however

28:07

if like in some parts of the world the animals are just going to waste in some parts they just slaughter them put them in a pit in fact in the hajj on many occasions i mean on some arguably they state that they ship them off to countries that are poor but so much of it just goes to waste you see bollock and this is why just briefly uh expanding on this just briefly that the mathematics first of all disagreed amongst themselves many of them the school of medina

28:45

said originally that a person can sacrifice on behalf of his entire household one person and the other methods took a slightly different route they said people could combine so seven up to seven people could combine to make up a sacrifice now there is a hadith of the prophet salallahu sallam that he sacrificed and he said that i'm sacrificing this on behalf of my family my household on behalf of my ummah

29:23

and this is why many ulama said that a sacrifice when on behalf of a person's whole household even walo kanu he says that even if it said that even if there were a hundred people this person is sacrificing on behalf of them and i feel this is an area that ichthy had and fatwa needs to be kind of renewed and looked at that if these things are going to waste we remember that the piety is not in the meat or the blood this never reaches allah

30:01

that we're deluded if we think that's what reaches reaching god and if especially if part in certain parts like i said in some countries it there are unfortunately you know so many impoverished i mean people are living in destitute conditions and therefore it is serving as a sustenance for people like that but where it's going to waste and the message is becoming

30:40

counterproductive that is showing islam because in the time of the prophet sallallahu alaihi this was highly symbolic of sacrificing in the name of god in this day and age it doesn't carry that meaning except with muslims and jews and jewish people it doesn't otherwise carry this message at all in fact the majority of the world cannot relate to that so where this may be giving a counterproductive message people need to revisit that and they need to take a look and renew the ichthy heart to keep in mind that this was

31:20

a symbol of devotion to begin with so and there's a there is a hadith that's important to quote there as well that allah saying that he doesn't look at your bodies uh the prophet teaching you that you know allah does not look at your clothes he does not look at the way you are the way you look your background allah looks at your intentions and i i feel that that really needs to be stressed allahu alam it was not so

31:59

long ago hajj and i did see a lot of people writing about this online so i thought it's quite it's worth discussing so moving to a verse that i really think is important and that is from suratul and this really seals it um

32:33

and this verse is one of those that absolutely seals it because allah is explaining beginning by addressing mankind as a whole not even addressing believers not saying or allah never says in the quran anyway occasion

33:06

oh you who have faith and this clearly is not addressing that it's addressing mankind but what's interesting is it reminds mankind of the common bond that despite you know you look at each other and you think who the hell is this person or who the you know this is what we think you look at someone and you think ah some yet we are all related and this you see coming today today this is a point of wonder

33:44

so dna shows us that um we all go back to a common ancestor so the you will have the chromosomal adam and eve although according to science they're not from the same time but they are what we are today every single person has a common ancestor we are all related so today today this is a point of wonder before the arabs this was something that was like whoa because they were all about lineage you see they were all about how are you related to him how is he related to what

34:23

bunny fulan or this you know are you uh are you katani are you adnani are you this are you that so to the arabs this was something immense this was all they boasted about abba and allah says that we created you from a single your origins go back to just one source okay and then we made you different civilization or different settlements this is interesting as well i'll tell you why because us are kind of

35:03

slightly more primitive societies as opposed to settle societies city folks people with you know empires civilizations what we call they are so in the time of the prophet sallallahu alaihi the the byzantines and the akameeni the persians these people were settled they were they were settled people and khabaril are still tribal so they're not as developed as they don't have those kind of societal structures even if amongst themselves they have their own hierarchy

35:42

but to other people they're like what the hell yeah better wins you see so rural folks and not even rural necessarily but slightly underdeveloped even under that are tribal people and and you think well why is that important why is allah mentioning that mentioning it because people disparage think about it it is it is unfortunately it's the we're gonna we're gonna look at somebody and think yeah bedouin and so

36:22

and this is why it's important that in seems to be taking it right so so it's important to understand these things that really our proximity to god is based on our humanity our worship is a personal affair yes it ties in it's an important ingredient in piety

37:01

but taqwa this mindfulness with god here allah is addressing humans not muslims so even non-muslims addressing them and saying and i think that really opens up a fascinating discussion which we'll leave for another day on things like how the quran addresses certain non-muslims including christians i was having an um an amazing seriously an overwhelming discussion with professor mir faisal about

37:40

we're speaking about christianity and we'll do a mind trap soon at some point and we'll discuss a lot of that and how christians are often from a muslim perspective misunderstood and even many christians misunderstand christianity but muslims do too and that was a fascinating discussion about how the ayat of the quran when you look at them they're not addressing christianity in the simplistic way that some people think they are they're not and people think because and

38:18

that's a a a whole different discussion we have to unpack for another day people think that some people think that christians believe that god took on a biological son but christians don't believe that and that's you see that they've never really believed that for the most part there's never been this so it's interesting what the quran is addressing and so when it says about wallet you see you won't find a generic

38:57

statement that allah says that the christians say that allah took a wallet but it says they say because walad is a biological child and christians have never believed that that jesus was the biological child of god they knew that that was a that would clearly be a dirty kind of word and there was history of when the nicean creed was translated into arabic it did use the word wallet but christian arabs would refrain from using it because they found it very

39:35

not only distasteful but quite offensive and so it's it's interesting when the quran does address them what is it speaking about and how it's condemning them and if and this is it's it's something to unpack on uh maybe on a mind trap and i'll get dr mead it's interesting even when allah says that that look look at what they're saying because the christians originally believed in the the in the monarchy of god of the father but when they would say

40:14

god they would say the father and this wasn't something that this was known but allah is saying that they are kind of moving aside from that they're kind of belittling in allah you see the quran condemns that he's the third of the three not the first it's there is an interesting discussion and this is why one has to ponder what is the verse saying when it's asking for a middle ground between muslims and christians

40:54

that let's come to a middle a middle ground between christians and muslims what is that middle ground then and people think the middle ground is saying islam but then that's not a middle ground because if i say to you i'm muslim you're christian let's come to a middle ground the middle ground can't be islam because then that's my ground you see so that's it's a fascinating discussion the whole discourse but will i digress i digress right so let's move on to taking some of your questions

41:32

right what is going on man let's uh clear dr faisal is needed on a mine trap he is it's it's absolutely amazing speaking to uh dr faisal i have to say people you know what let me give you a life hack people say i don't give them a life hack so life hack we give you a life hack man seriously whatever you do in life

42:12

make sure you have some incredibly intelligent friends okay and every once in a while meet up with them whether it's a coffee or even if it's a phone call and just converse because that is a real education that you are actually taking away it's unbelievable honestly you uh by speaking to people who are incredibly intelligent in certain fields it'll always rub off on you so

42:51

that's a obviously now you're going to be like where do i find an intelligent so i was uh chatting to professor mir and he is an absolute genius in physics and mathematics and and mathematics is a fascinating one because i feel it's really mathematics for the most part i feel is quite counterintuitive which is contrary to what people think people think mathematics is like it makes so much sense but it doesn't really most

43:30

of mathematics to most of mankind is an you know an undecipherable language like they can't understand and it's it sounds absurd the only maths we for plebs for the most part understand is just basic arithmetic adding subtracting multiplying dividing at a very basic basic level that's it and that's a tiny tiny fraction of the world of mathematics and these people they just see it they seem to have an instinct for it they just it just makes sense to them

44:09

and i find that so incredible really i'll share a mathematical [Laughter] um kind of mind-blowing um not equal i suppose an equation with you guys and that is you've probably heard of the saying by einstein that he said that black holes are where god divided by zero

44:43

people are thinking yeah what's happened to mufti here okay and now i'm going to ask you something this is incredibly it's going to sound so simple but you probably check yourself and you'll have maybe a knee-jerk reactionary response to it that is if you were asked if a number is divided by zero what is it what is the reply and people they often most people just have a knee-jerk reaction and they may think it's the number itself or it's nothing or they this is because you see they they look at a

45:23

number multiplied by zero and i think well now that's nothing because seven lots of zero are still zero so you see but a number divided by zero mathematics can't actually answer so it is actually undefined it will just come up as like and it'll break down because it's just too incalculable and you're to think that that doesn't make any sense

46:02

what is he on about and that's true just think about it because look think of it like this so you could take any number let's say you take eight and you say well okay let's divide it by four it's gonna be two okay let's divide it by two it's gonna be four let's divide it by one it's gonna be eight so now think about it the next thing so if you said divided by 0.5 it would then go to 16 and so each time you try to

46:41

get closer so even if you just divided one by point if you just did 0.1 so not 0.1 so you're just trying to get closer to zero it would be ten and if you said okay let's get closer to zero zero so you did point zero zero one it would be a hundred and point zero zero zero zero one be a thousand you see and the closer you try to get to one i mean sorry to zero it would reach infinity you just can't do it and then the problem is well why don't you say the

47:20

answer is infinity which i suppose some people have tried to say but then it could have worked in the other way it could have been negative numbers as well so it just malfunctions now just think about that for a moment because you think about and that now all of a sudden einstein's statement makes incredible sense that black holes in the universe are we got divided by zero but think about this now imagine look how counter-intuitive that is imagine some person went in the past and he's trying to explain this in some kind

47:59

of a rural town [Laughter] they would probably skin him alive can you imagine the response like check this out this would be like the kind of chief of the village because they would translate it as saying that i'm kind of giving it to so he imagine a person would say so i've got five houses and i've given them to no one so how many houses have i still got left [Laughter] you'd say

48:37

infinity huh because think about it wouldn't make because the normal person the average person would kind of relate to it in that kind of a sense which is completely off the mark completely entirely and i think why this is important because it reminds us how much how underdeveloped we are intellectually so this is why i was saying it's important to speak to people who are incredibly intelligent in certain fields because it will remind you

49:17

we all need that reminder believe me you need that kind of reminder that yeah damn there's so much i don't know so yeah i thought i'd share that so so it's not nine no maxi it's not nine yeah exactly so you see if we did the malfunction but this is

49:53

mufti look at this this abi yeah i'm trying to teach you mathematics [Laughter] learn something good sequels in the game or you just want to or you want to be like that person in life right let me scroll through the comments catch up with what people are saying right so those of you tuning in click the like man click the share man spread the love spread the love man spread the love so what else is going on what

50:29

thoughts have some of you got is mata infinitely divisible is mata well it depends if you take mata can be divided and it is it's not indivisible in that sense you'll take it down to quarks and at a subatomic level or leptons and and

51:08

it'll go down but if you're looking at string theory the fundamental building block of reality would be these kind of vibrations of strings and i find that incredibly fascinating because it really ties into a lot of religious narratives as well from an islamic perspective where allah is saying that look everything mata everything around you you just don't comprehend that the spear and what's fascinating is tasmir we use it today to mean say subhanallah

51:48

subhanallah actually means this flow a flowing sensation and that is just wow and even other traditions if you think about it more whether you'll go towards um more eastern traditions of buddhism and hinduism etc things like that even they will have this kind of a a breakdown of reality that fundamentally this kind of humming so i i do find that very

52:26

it isn't yet i think this there's still a lot more i think they've got to do on string theory but it's it's something so yeah i personally believe that hmm you see i'm kind of uh i'm at times i find myself in different thoughts on one level i do feel that the fundamental

53:04

blocks of reality that reality is fundamentally made of consciousness hmm or the other way could be that it is one of the fundamental if it's not ultimately there but i i do i am inclined to that though that it is the fundamental kind of

53:32

the part or the thing with which reality is made it would be consciousness obviously it's massless it's not uh you know it doesn't contain mass but and then reality because with our consciousness we can definitely shape reality at a very fundamental level when we're looking at subatomic realms just being conscious of them changes them so and and that's demonstrated through the double slit experiment so yeah

54:10

i'm definitely inclined towards that allahu alam so what else is going on zebba right so let me scroll through some of these comments what is going on um right the quantum measurement problem absolutely absolutely right so people what i'll do is i'll

54:48

share a um a link shortly i'll take a look at some more comments and then i'll share a link and people uh can come on with the link as well uh not taking too long let's say probably just a few minutes and we can kind of move through sift through a bunch of different people but before we do that i wanted to say a few words on share some academic thoughts with you guys you see

55:26

it's important to remember that islam is was not revealed and did not emerge in a vacuum that there was a an entire world and a world history prior to it so right okay i want to speak about the i want to share my thoughts on the kind of backdrop landscape to

56:02

islam or revelation let's say revelation first of all who am i saying this to and then why am i saying it so who am i saying it to comes back to what meaning do we take away from religion so there's going to be this is to some people the deen they need it to provide that we all need the deen to provide meaning for us and that is amazing and that is one of the most powerful functions of the theme but to certain people it's not about

56:41

intellectually engaging with the deen they're not interested necessarily in that and that's fine islam still works wonderfully for them okay let me give you a parallel example let's say going to the gym so people go to the gym improves their health okay we hope so unless you just sit there on your phone but improves your health now to some people they're just many people going to the gym they're just interested in saying well i just want to improve my health i want to look better i want to look good and i want to feel good humbly learn it's doing that

57:21

for them to some people they want to know the science behind it they want to know how certain muscles work how they uh interact where they kind of complement each other where they work antagonistically some people want to understand how proteins you know how you can take in certain supplements what amino acids to what which amino acids are more functional in developing proteins some people want to they want to understand everything behind the anatomy of going to the gym okay

57:59

and that's amazing too but if you didn't and you still went to the gym there's a pretty good chance that you're still getting amazing results so in a similar way religion is a bit like that you see you can practice religion you can do good things you can serve people do hidmah you can reflect be mindful do all of this and religion is amazing for you it's doing its purpose but you could be someone that says well actually to me i want to also

58:38

deep dive into it i want to really understand the kind of the bolts i want to understand the algorithms behind all of these that's amazing as well now these are not necessarily the same people they can be but they don't have to be so for some people who are not interested in that they don't want to know about all of these things the intellectual to some people it may even be scary for them surprisingly maybe because people think no because to me the faith it has a mystique to it so if i start looking into things i i don't want to do that and that's

59:17

that's fine nobody is saying that every single person has to be become or try to be academically involved with the deen but to those who are inclined this way that's who this message and many of the things that i say are aimed at okay so so you've got that why am i saying this you see to these people who want to understand revelation at a deeper level they understand that revelation is nested in a back story

59:56

of many things happening see like let me give you an example like when we in the quran and i think i may have mentioned this before we hear the story of let's say musa is now we hear these stories but they just mentioned very briefly there's just you get a verse here may say something a verse sometimes some stories of the quran are slightly uh more detailed and but many ain't but we nest them in the backdrop of the

1:00:36

judeo-christian discourse so we think oh yeah but this story exists over there this is where this is kind of you know it's tying on to this part or it's saying this what about the jews and christians themselves or especially the jewish people because the christian bible really rests its history also on the the judea on the jewish uh bible so the jewish bible what did they rest their history on

1:01:07

that's something to kind of think about at times and to also look at it's not even just history but world events that were going on how did they influence certain things and you know what you find you find the amazing you know when you understand that you really come to appreciate the nature of the quran because you then start to see you know this thing that i say that the quran has a superposition aspect to it that it's a bit like in and i take the term from quantum physics of

1:01:45

how it has how a at a quantum level particles can be multiple places at once that by the inherent nature at once [Laughter] so that's the kind of nature of the quran when you start to understand these things then you think right okay i see now that this here is in relation to that but it can also be in relation to something and you start to see narratives emerge from the quran and at some point we'll go into a bit more detail it's and i'll give one example

1:02:24

um it's interesting that um let's say the the the um not that uh i tell you what let's take the example of satan satan is an interesting one you see in the jewish bible or in the especially in the torah element the the kind of pentateuch and you don't really you do get satan in in the sense you get you do get the devil but he's not really

1:03:02

kind of pronounced in the old jewish bible in the sorry the the first uh um the torah element of it the pentateuch and the earlier books of the jewish bible the satan isn't as much a pronounced figure but what he is what people seem to be struggling with temptation of themselves like the the nafs is really what people are battling against and so you get um eve

1:03:41

tempting let's say adam and the serpent but the serpent in genesis isn't stated to be the devil that's later on in in the new testament they say oh this was satan was the serpent but in the old testament it doesn't state that this was satan it just says the serpent tempted adam so it's interesting so you have that but then the jewish as the kind of history develops before jesus as it develops hundreds of years before jesus at least let's say we're talking at least 500 years before jesus this they're having more prophets come

1:04:21

and they're having more understandings and then there's the destruction of the temple that they have so the first destruction with nebula and many of the israelites are taken into exile into babylon now in babylon you do have you see with the persians you do have a more pronounced understanding of this dualism with zoroastrian faith that you have this understanding that that there is a duality between good a great fight between good versus evil

1:04:58

so in the old jewish early jewish bible there isn't this great fight between good versus evil it's more about humans struggling against themselves but and against temptation of themselves or of the world the nafs whereas the later jewish bible starts to then incorporate uh more especially the second temple period so once the the the israelites come back from exile under the persians you see under cyrus and darius and now they build the temple again and this so some have people have have said that

1:05:37

there is at that stage a more pronounced duality that they start to see the satan as this stronger figure this figure almost against god that has this power and and then when christianity comes jesus clearly mentions the devil he clearly mentions satan and jesus is you know tempted by satan and he mentions oh on several occasions satan so by the time jesus is the allah this understanding is definitely now there and more pronounced and then after

1:06:16

jesus it's clearly in the new testament this kind of clear dualism between good versus evil between god versus the devil and you see now so how does the quran place it and this is the amazing nature i'm telling you about the quran if you start to see this you see it has this superposition aspect where it's it it highlights both but it will highlight so on certain occasions it will because that narrative is theory is from the the later part of the jewish bible

1:06:55

it is there with the new testament of the shaitaan of iblis as in diablos they had the greek version diablos iblis would be the arabic so the quran affirms that but then taking it back you see to allah saying that really a lot of the time pronouncing this on many occasions as well about the struggle of insane is with the nerves you see and so that it's interesting food for thought that you see the more one

1:07:33

starts to learn about the the journey of different revelations you see because allah is saying that for different ummahs they were they are different things and as you start to see this journey what it does is it sheds light or a deeper light on revelation that we have and then you start to appreciate how it the quran so dynamically handles such complex

1:08:13

situations [Laughter] people for another day we'll have to expand more on that i don't know if you guys were getting that right so all right musty where can i find yep i don't know what that is for where can i find imam malik

1:08:43

muhammad sallah yildiz is trying to find imam malik oh imam malik's love for sport i don't know about his love for sport but he's eating meat yes that is it's mentioned in uh i'm pretty sure kaabi yad mentions in history so if you look for it there let me share the invite

1:09:13

all right so all right people there you go i've shared the alright there's the is it why can i not see oh i can i can oh people people and sugar and much love right so i've shared the link

1:09:56

all right what's going on have you taken a uh i can't quite read that some kind of a course nice to see you again mufti shukran zubaid likewise likewise man so i'm too shy look at this i'm too shy to express my love for mufti [Laughter] this is what even after i've taught you about what da de la we had to say he said that

1:10:32

[Laughter] right gold globe much love for the super sticker much love yaar shukran shukran to yogyo what kind of love is that what this one man what this one let me see right so people i'll share the link again those of you just tuning in click like click share there you go great to see you back to yourself sugar and sugar right we've got

1:11:12

all right i've got someone here muhammad mohammed wilkin i'm right on the phone i have to in the past on the super chat kind of thing and it was your answers is that you sending the super chats you know the m wilkinson you might you might remember it for me for like i

1:11:51

don't know six months ago of course yeah i always remember wilkinson whenever i i'm thinking yeah my blades i need to go get some more blades to shave wilkinson yeah i'll give you a discount you know yeah where are you joining us from wilkinson well i'm at the moment i live in manchester um yeah i live in manchester yeah your accent is it's not correct i i don't i i wasn't like born in england i you know i was born in sudan grew up in saudi arabia sudan

1:12:28

yeah you're smashing stereotypes to smithereens here all going to appear bigoted now you're going to be like he's a bigot explain that one to us man what's going on no explain to explain to us bigots why did we why did we flinch when you said i was i'm i'm born in sudan

1:12:56

so well just to explain my my lineage because the arabs love lineage right lineage start off with the noble tribes yeah the the land this villain the uh my my father's from britain uh technically scott is irish but he's from he was for britain and my mother's from egypt and my father was working as an english teacher in sudan so i happened to be born there and then a couple years later we moved to saudi arabia yeah and you know i we always spoke english in the household and my school was in english so that's why i picked up the english stuff what about arabic arabic

1:13:50

um and the funny thing is that was not funny but uh actually i'm planning to leave the uk go to morocco on the 1st of september so in a few minutes that's that's not yeah it's just a couple of weeks away okay what's the is there a reason or is this just there is a reason and this kind of ties in with my question and so on right uh so uh are you aware that you know in in sufi tariqas they have these what they call zoweas are you aware of that yeah yeah yeah of course of course right so so i was i happened to be i happened to have been born into a

1:14:28

tsukitaka and um i thought you were going to say i was born in azalea i was going to be like [Laughter] honestly i thought you were going to say i was born in this house yeah i was like i don't know how to i don't know how to respond to that stuff i was going to be like okay i would go to the hospital as far as i know so like a normal person you know anyway anyway so so i'm living in this i'm living in this area but the funny thing is that um i kind of moved here uh from where i was living i was living

1:15:07

near liverpool now i live here right and uh in december 2020 but then in january i you know i was watching a lot of your stuff you know to be honest because i came across your stuff through heartygate right that was because i i gone through something and it really made me start to question like because i was one of those people one of those muslims that believed that the hadith in bahadur 100 act that can be attributed to prophet with 100 certainty but obviously they can't and there's a lot of not there's a lot of but there are some there are some dangerous hadees in there uh things like

1:15:46

that and and they are often misused right by muslims it was my experience right and so i kind of came through yourself anyway and i came through across your stuff about jin and black magic and all the stuff and and slowly all these constructs that i used to believe in kind of fell away and i i started and the funny thing is funny thing is like when i was doing i you know do these hadras that these sufis have right uh so and and and by the way the tadika that i'm part of is called the bohania anyway this is interesting yeah yeah they're supposed to be uh from like

1:16:23

and they they inherit their lineage from chandelier and to sukiya yeah uh you probably would not have heard that tuzuki but either way uh it doesn't matter point is that uh so in this hydras i was just thinking and doing the allah allah obviously in the hadra but then i started getting these did you just say did you just stay and i was

1:16:51

[Laughter] [Music] i was just doing the allah a lot of doubts that i had in my mind kind of coalesced and i started i need to i need to like it during the hadra right and i was thinking about all these doubts i had about my shape my tariqa sufism as a whole and i kind of looked up one of the one of the old lectures

1:17:29

from not the current sheikh but the father of the common one and and somebody sorry to just interrupt somebody had uh was still trying to figure out zarya is that the name of a woman right so the literal meaning is corner but we can think of it as a mosque and it's all we can think of it as a super lodge right and that's a better way of looking at it yeah a super large right i think and essentially usually if the people are organized enough they will usually get together to have a place essentially so that they can come together to do hadras and stuff like that right and and and

1:18:08

do the stickers and whatever right anyway now the amount of i tell you the amount of misunderstanding that could take place by somebody just trying to read i suppose arabic with no back social kind of backstory to what any of this they're like yeah who's this away something i realized was that if you if we if you if you listen to any like muslim islamic related video then people just throw in arabic words there all the

1:18:46

time so i just thinking like if i was like an english person watching any of your videos you know i would say one percent two percent would be go completely over my head because i thought obviously i i i'm familiar with these terms but i i imagine a non-muslim kind of looking at your videos they don't know what these arabic words are and they won't necessarily feel like i think i i don't know when his visa is going to go through the thinking but [Laughter] you know speaking of arabic terms and to do with the sufi uh you know you have the famous hadith on uh you have them on helicopter

1:19:25

the kind of uh the circles of the yeah and even the one who joins them gets the benefit yeah so from that so it's yeah yeah that some guy was reading it and wanting to obviously practice you know keen like some of the guys here are really keen yeah enthusiasm i've had my lucas aid for the day so he was reading it and and he was reading it as bab this is the fabila or the faba or the father the virtues of so he was like huh

1:20:04

[Laughter] which would mean the circles are plural of helka but if you said hulk it means to shave and zakkar is the the male the male the private part you know the way of the power is thinking because the hadith says all of a sudden angels start to circle them

1:20:44

the cps have like oh my god but in any case i i came to the conclusion that the sufi shakes they're not on the truth and uh anyway did you just debunk the entire subwoofer right here the whole and and i think that and i think just i i i i think i think you'd like me that's why you're giving me all this time but thank you very much for that wilkinson how can we not and now i see the connect how you even managed to kind of prime me psychologically to bring in that anecdote of the hadith about shaving you

1:21:23

see wilkinson it's all right there in the name people it's all right this is how we get primed psychologically yeah absolutely absolutely absolutely but like i i think that a lot of people a lot of modern muslim modern sufis they misattribute the label of sufi to people in the past like bizarrely like uh hassan and pasade they were probably very devout muslims but what they have called themselves

1:21:53

these distinct terms devout it's like people say imam was early and that was sufi they were devout muslims here that just gives an absolute counter dark stark contrast i mean are you uh do you you know personally i when we say to subwoof or sufism what are we talking about because i have a much you know it's been actually especially more so recently i found a great affinity and a great fondness of uh

1:22:33

what the classic you know the acaba or these kind of uh the great figures of uh the of what are deemed the sufi tradition but the early the proto sufis like people like that would have been like junaid or even these kind of people what they were on to was something i think i'm a skeptical person i'm a bit skeptical personally because because let me let me kind of uh give you this like very simple point can you by simply repeating formulas can you

1:23:13

make yourself a better person can you increase compassion for another human being or whatever can you increase your love for the prophet simply by repeating certain formulas and something i've noticed like when i read books about mindfulness and stuff like that i noticed that i became more mindful to be honest right simply from reading that like without doing work about without doing meditation on the phone it's simply by being like like realizing that i should be more mindful and and and more compact like how if you have a temporal problem how do you control it certainly not by saying uh or whatever whatever formulas they might have are latif on the team from the thief right

1:23:52

certainly simply by well firstly you have to expose yourself uh to situations that stress you to make you angry but then you have to like what you did a very interesting uh short that you did about the open palm i never heard of that before but it makes a lot of sense about uh about controlling the anger and so on the anger yeah it's incredibly interesting because it really seems to work exactly i've never heard of it before and if i ever feel that angry it's very rare for me to feel angry but if i ever do i'll i'll i'll remember that but the point is i i'm very skeptical of the idea of reciting formulas or whatever or even ritual prayer i don't believe

1:24:31

ritual prayer does anything like uh does make us and this comes back to our uh our idea of priority can rituals especially ritual asgard or ritual prayers can they actually make us prize people i don't think so and i've seen personal proof of people who are supposed to be amazing people but when when i needed their help they kind of shunned me you know and this is the point is like yeah you know just a personal example what i would like to say is that i think there's two things here the core thing like what we

1:25:10

like the verses we've read that like that it is about this mindfulness with god it's about serving god consciousness and it's about serving humanity when you said that you needed help for example in a particular situation and everybody needs help at some point and people who may have been religious people they kind of turn away and what's fascinating with that is the the good samaritan story because that's exactly what you're saying you know you are saying exactly what

1:25:50

in the gospel of luke jesus is saying when they're asking him that okay then who is my neighbor and and jesus said gives them the example of the good samaritan who the jews did not like but then the the jewish the priest that goes by the levite that goes by these people who know about the dean the levites were the the high priests they were you know too busy in their ibadah i've got to go no no i've got to go to i've got to get to the temple i've got to get to this here's this person all beaten stripped whatever you know just kind of dumped on on on on the wayside and everybody's

1:26:29

ignoring him and along comes a samaritan who these people the jewish people in jesus time otherwise and they think are bad people but he takes care of him so this whole thing and that's what is about ultimately like ultimately absolutely and i've got a short video on this saying this very same thing and mentioning yes

1:26:56

like because i i always felt uh because i'm not so good with my prayers and always i felt that you know allah and sahoon and i always felt a little bit like um start talking about me but uh i kind of preferred your explanation where is those people were praying but they don't even do the simple acts of you know what what i love honestly about suramar it blew my mind honestly you know the first time i thought about it it blew my mind that this surah is it's it starts off by saying look do you not see this person who denies this and he's cruel and he's miserable and he's miserly and he's this

1:27:35

this is just like a lowlife and then you think yeah yeah yeah yeah i i i get it and then allah says [Laughter] these people are praying now why why wouldn't you think allah would say you know those people are taking time out to pray because they miss the real thing you see these people the ma um

1:28:15

these people are supposed to be helpful these people are supposed to be really doing yeah i mean they're lazy in their prayer but the real thing the huma this is why the whole surah is called suramar and so i'm with you but i wouldn't but that said i don't think rituals are meaningless i think they can serve an incredible function but a person has to work as well it's not just you know if i just pray and think look i pray you know you know because i thought that and i believed that because that's what all the books said all the books say well you need to be taqwa and piety means praying your

1:28:53

prayers means doing that car means memorizing the quran and and you think well i'll do that but at the same time i'm being bad to my parents i'm uh having a bad relationship with other people i'm losing my temper all the time i'm you know things like that like i was i was battling with all of those things and it's like i just realized that yeah this wasn't helping me being a better person being a better person is helping me become better because it's not exactly because it is an active it's not an active role you're doing right you know something this you probably i don't know if you know

1:29:32

this but this will blow your mind yeah allah never in the quran and you know on what i'll do on one of the times i'll have a maybe next week i'll begin like today when i spoke about this stuff i'll begin by speaking about this in a bit more detail who does allah love in the quran now allah says and there's something very important here but and i'll do that in my other session on more detail allah never says he hates oh that's inspiring he says he says he does he doesn't love you

1:30:10

he doesn't say it or allah allah you know or anything doesn't say that yeah now here the the thing i was going to say allah never says in the quran in the law oh that's interesting never says he loves the believers or he loves the muslims not even once does he say that in the quran he says he loves those who are just he loves those who are muslim people of kindness he loves those who are mutual he loves those who rely on him he loves those he never says but and i think this deserves an uh a a

1:30:49

segment kind of dedicated to it so but it's very fascinating to when we ponder over it and yesterday much you're doing it yeah wilkinson knows more than me

1:31:23

no i i i do follow you i do follow you and i i don't know i appreciate it i respect you a lot like yeah you know yeah you know what it is it's the souls that are connected this is what i tell people it's the souls that are connected and i think you know i think it's even reflected in our language when we say the zeitgeist i think when we say zeitgeist we really are talking about this collective consciousness aren't we anyway so that's kind of definitely fascinating finished the point i wanted to make was that like so i'm living in this area and then a couple of weeks ago because i'm learning arabic i'm starting to become

1:32:02

more and more uncomfortable with the hadras because i'm understanding more arabic so a big part of uh sufi stuff is they say medet all these people and i'm very uncomfortable with that because even it says [Laughter]

1:33:02

they will do backflips to justify this whole thing in any case the past couple of weeks i i haven't been doing the hard drive i've kind of kind of because they come every saturday and they do the hadron and thursdays as well and i i've been skipping them for a couple of weeks and then on saturday last week they said well for those who don't know is the kind of like the the kind of dance or they won't call it a dance but it's the kind of um i don't know what they'll call it really the rhythmic movements when they do thicker yeah yeah and and so i'm at the end they begin like you have a group who will sing right so they will say and they'll they'll often begin with another yeah rasulullah

1:33:41

all this stuff right and so you know it's it's it's like it's like it's like a shamanic ritual to call under on the spirits right i have to say yes i just turned into this is turning into like a complete a grill of the sufi practices i think to be fair what i would say is um i i agree with you on the i agree with you on the part of calling upon people other than god uh this is something which although i do

1:34:20

accept that the people that do it and i've got a video speaking about this they do believe in god they do believe in allah but they kind of do it as a it's not they're not i don't believe they're doing shirk as in the mushriks but this is it it should really these people need to be scaffolded into believing that they can just call upon god exactly and he's not too far removed he will hear you

1:34:51

this is the verse of the quran allah says look but all it is i'm it's just you call me i'm there that's all you have to do it's just cool exactly so i definitely agree with that with the practices that they have the the kind of hadharat and stuff i would feel right i feel that these are things which i suppose people have developed as practices if they're doing them in their own places which are not mainstream masjids they're just like their zombies which were these lodges that they exactly i do think i would say

1:35:30

well you know it's their own impact it's a problem when because i am the one designated to live in this area and so why do you live in azabia because i couldn't live with my brother and his wife but the point is but that wasn't my what i meant but i meant like why why do you live in azalea and you said well because

1:36:04

it's that game like it's not important but it's not important i'm sorry you know it all began when i was six years old honestly i could right but but like they expected me to join in so when i didn't and i said i'm not going to join in anymore they'll say that's unacceptable if you're here in this area you have to join in otherwise find another place and i i was very uncomfortable with that because you know like they should never force me to do anything that i don't believe in i already told some of them before that i don't believe in all of this stuff anyway but i was going to join again you said that

1:36:43

no means no no why this force upon me man yeah must be consent consensual both exactly exactly that isn't that's all right one way it should be two-way traffic man a traffic so i was like you know what this is this is this isn't good for me when i booked the ticket to morocco and i was already planning to go to morocco i'm fully vaccinated and everything now you know and i teach english online so i have a source of income okay so wow so

1:37:22

so so it's so now uh now it's just a matter of going you know and i've just finally you know when you see all the ayat in your life you're like is this a sign allah yes it does give me a sign you go god give me a sign and this lightning comes down you go any sign and there's like this huge there's like a hurricane you go come on just give me anything show me anything it's an earthquake do you like nothing [Laughter] exactly exactly well wilkinson oh right not sorry i thought no no no i

1:38:00

was gonna say no talking to you but i'm just thinking there's a few people waiting i know i don't drink them all the time no no but i've enjoyed this i've learned so much about you know like so many different things time with mufti is an indication of amazing but anyway

1:38:26

of course it is you are amazing that's nothing to doubt that nothing yeah although i although i although the zawiyah and the sufis who've heard this now would strongly disagree and might even i don't know if you're gonna safely make it out but the thing is these brothers like they're supposed to be my brothers but they say if you if you don't do it find another place immediately even though i have no other place to go to like you know i have very limited options and it's like what are they expecting and my income is limited as well so what i'm expecting you to do you know and it's like like you said the moss

1:39:05

they're not even watson and and that isn't the only sign that their lack of taqwa you know like one time so they're doing this other stuff and i'm leaving the metro prayer for them and i decide to recite some sort of the rock man so the prayer is like a couple of minutes longer it's like seven minutes total right and then one of the brothers said they don't like long praise yeah and i was like you know and i was a bit offended by that to the extent that i stopped leaving the first problem but because i was like you know what what's what's what's the next three minutes especially since they do their little subhanallah what's an extra two minutes what's the next two minutes ask somebody who

1:39:44

who two minutes made all the difference in their life i don't know what you're talking about that could be many categories of many people it could be somebody arrived at an airport two minutes late yeah it doesn't just have to be in those but like things i said like i just thought well if the hardware was doing anything their hearts would be soft but the hearts are not solved they are what they are they're kind people but they're not they're not like are not they're not amazing and this is the point like if this was

1:40:22

on the truth yeah they would be they would be shining examples of muslims compared to another regular muslim you know can i you know yeah can i add something for you you know my my two pencils you see you are absolutely right you're sharing your story of and this is this is ubiquitous this is everywhere people whenever they have issues you know even with islam as a whole the vast majority of people who are ex-muslims for example who have left islam and they seem to be growing and on the rise and getting

1:41:02

stronger and stronger you see many of many of them may have looked at scientific points or intellectual arguments and and got kind of you know not enough responses or not an adequate reply but you will find that many of them most of them sorry not many most of them overwhelmingly it was the human experience that broke away that chord of islam exactly and this is what humanity away from is what broke me away from supers and to begin with and actually and i can i can feel that from what you know what you're

1:41:41

saying and what i would say my two pence to you is that to this is that look things obviously this is out of your control how other people behave and they may put you in an uncomfortable position and you know may allah make things easy for you but you are doing what one should do and that is planning preparing you're setting a strategy you're trying to okay i'm gonna move to this place i'm gonna do this but you know what i'd like to add to that and this is going to be it's going to be difficult okay it's going to be difficult i'm telling you what i would add is that

1:42:20

try try hard not to let yourself be begrudging to carry a grudge that's the hardest part look this is gonna be hard but look you know what this is what this is like carrying a burning coal it is only gonna harm you it's gonna make it's gonna take away from your positivity and i love the saying by um i think it was nelson mandela he said that hating on someone uh or having this kind of this this hatred for someone carrying that it's like drinking poison yourself and

1:42:57

wishing for the other person to die you know it's such a an amazing saying when you think about it and and i think that's going to be hard and we're all uh affected by but do try that look this is how not to do it this is how people shouldn't do it and you can carry that lesson forward in life that you can shine you know you said they didn't shine but you can that time will come believe me time will come when you will be in that position where somebody needs your help and you know how you've come to these people and that and that occasion you will shine you will be like wow that you know this let me rise to the occasion

1:43:37

muhammad it's been amazing talking to you seriously it's been epic here right so so reach out to me by the way on instagram and send me a message send me another one and i'll look out for your for your profile i'll keep it right right yeah yeah my handsome face is on there too of course of course goes without charming everyone online tonight right

1:44:13

all right people that was muhammad right joining us from the uk from sudan and enroute to uh enroute to al-maghrib morocco sharing his journey we did get quite a bit distracted into some what i think was useful discussions all right so first of all i see saracen much love for the super chat culture and village crazies create ex-muslims i agree um you know ex-muslims people who leave

1:44:53

islam you know earlier on i spoke about um i said right let me just all right gold globe shukran for the super chat much love i appreciate it um earlier on i've mentioned about people who dive into islam from an intellectual perspective as well and those who just it's enough and both are amazing but you see one of the benefits of diving deep diving into islam intellectually is that the islam and the rope that you're holding on to

1:45:32

it this approach will allow that rope to reach the generations after us because people i'm telling you so many people are becoming unfortunately disheartened by islam and a lot of that it comes from mainly just these two factors one is or three factors one could say one is they are given um they are misinformed about islam ill-informed so so people will say to them oh islam has got this wrong islam has got this wrong oh it's got evolution wrong oh it's got

1:46:12

scientific things wrong it's got this wrong embryology wrong it's got this like a lot of the ex-muslims say so at this stage the second element and this is a perfectly healthy element it's curiosity so these people get curious which they think well has islam got that wrong here they approach the local clerics they approach maybe they don't approach the cleric maybe they approach their parents maybe they approach elders around them or other people how they are treated is the first part of either consolidating that rope or beginning to

1:46:51

kind of hack away at it because people will often that they're too ill-informed to give them a good reply i tell you that there is nothing there is nothing that islam cannot stand the test of in this day and age there is no challenge that is insurmountable the problem is the people themselves may fall short in expressing it so yes when people when they take these ex-muslim arguments to their local clerics they get shut down because some of the clerics can't answer it they say oh shut up you don't you know you're not

1:47:29

allowed to question islam so that the other key ingredient is how they are treated generally by muslims and religious people especially if they see religious people as people who are always like you know they always tell them off or they cruel people or this severs the rope so just keep that in mind um

1:47:56

right let me just take a look um the way of maxim saying or maxim saying the way of the prophets not philosophers or sufis i you see to me i feel that the the sufis and the philosophers too on many occasions are really on the way of the prophets many of them but they may appear different on from certain perspectives but to me it's not necessarily a contradiction you see

1:48:34

if you think about it think about this islam flourishes when we as muslims let go of our insecurities wallahi islam flourishes think throughout islamic history when did the golden age of islam whenever it took place and wherever it took place look at the earliest in the abbasid era the golden age yeah with you're going to have ma moon and you know beginning in the abbasid with a beta hikma the house of wisdom

1:49:14

and all of a sudden muslim academia just exponentially explodes but why was that you see they became secure they weren't insecure what did they take they took the knowledge of the greeks now think about just think about that for a moment that muslims living in the muslim east the middle east and arabia and north africa these muslims decided that it's absolutely fine to take the knowledge of these greeks

1:49:52

the ancient greeks and treat it like our own and see them for the legends they were galen like think about it galen all muslim classical muslim scholars studied galen ibrahim will speak about him if nahasim will speak about him all these great scholars will speak about him because they they didn't feel insecure they had to study euclid they had to study philosophy that this then created today the muslim creed the muslim creed today theology is based on philosophy

1:50:32

i mean you may say they disagree with the philosophers but they where do they get the terminology from there is no so all muslim akita books begin all mainstream muslim books begin with the definition of they begin with substance essence and arab which philosophers call accidents or i i think it's an easy way to translate them as reflections okay but because nowadays we we don't understand accidents to me we understand road traffic accidents so you have essence or substance and essence and reflections

1:51:10

so this arab and johar and they discuss is allah an arab or a johar and then they go on is allah is he eternal where are these words in the quran or in the prophetic literature they don't exist the entire thing is built up on the back of philosophy so muslims felt secure to embrace the mathematics pythagoras to embrace euclid to embrace socrates to embrace plato now think about this now this part is gonna this wow you're gonna think about this at this time muslims

1:51:49

were rivals with the byzantines who were seen as europeans even though they had arabs as well but they were seen as europeans who are the greeks closer to are they closer to the arabs or the europeans wouldn't you associate them with the enemy with the other yet muslims embrace them not the romans muslims then worked on them added to them they became independent with them and they took them to the extent that their works are what

1:52:28

what what inflamed and set light to the candle of enlightenment within europe and removed it from the dark ages it was the muslims who did this and so yet the muslims themselves unfortunately as europe started to rise with enlightenment muslims unfortunately went through an era of insecurity all of a sudden and so because they went through insecurity they became reactionary again so you see people like ibn khayim al jazeera and in his era now all of a sudden they don't want to study medicine like that they think oh this kind of medicine that for

1:53:06

hundreds of years all the muslims all these legends everybody studied galen all of a sudden they say no we there's now now there's the prophet's medicine in the 700s all of 700 years after the prophet this is but why because in their era muslims felt insecure again they were attacked by mongols they had europe was rising they didn't they didn't feel secure again with themselves so they started to say no no you know these are more with them

1:53:44

if i quote galen it's like quoting these europeans but for hundreds of years muslims were quoting muslims are who gave galen back to to europe they're the people who gave pythagoras and these people back to europe the people aristotle ibn arush said time and time again that i feel he when allah a pre-christ greek

1:54:18

we find it bizarre today you know somebody said that today people get be up in arms can you imagine and so this is about being secure with your faith they attribute this as a hadith of the prophet the meaning is definitely correct whether people question the chain that a wise word is it is the last property of a believer of the one of faith

1:54:46

take it seize it wherever you find it don't think is he a muslim is enormously well i would fear if those people were if we weren't insecure today or if those great scholars of the past were alive today they would today the way they spoke of aristotle the way they spoke of galen the way they spoke of pythagoras the way they spoke of the they would today be speaking of people like einstein like that they would be speaking about feynman they would be speaking about people in mathematics today that have that have all these breakthroughs but we feel sometimes oh we shouldn't glorify some some muslims get insecure when they

1:55:26

feel or we shouldn't glorify non-muslims if the people were legends they were legends it doesn't matter you know it's not you take you take the legacy and you embrace it make it your own yeah cool i i think that's so important to to say that confucius once said man who makes mistake and elevator is wrong in many

1:55:56

i like that i like that i see saracen you're doing it you are much love with the superhero honestly mostly you think muslims are going to have a reformation like how the reformist jews broke away from the orthodox in the 18th century you know that's a very powerful question i feel that what's going to happen is there will be a kind of global human kind of revolution coming from muslims i feel that they will have to break away from institutionalized

1:56:36

religion it will happen at some point it's inevitable because the world is already post-religion it's only really muslims that are still massively trapped in institutionalized religion you see christians are not really trapped as much an institutionalized religion anymore you see when we look at christianity okay this is the thing you see

1:57:06

when we think of christianity online the voices we hear of hard-line christians are evangelicals but they are a minority of christians worldwide the catholic church has moved on in so many things have you have you read some of the stuff that the catholic for decades the catholic church has issued these edicts it's moved on catholics have moved on protestants have moved on it's it's just we hear the evangelicals online they dominate the online sphere just as the salafi discourse

1:57:46

dominates the muslim online sphere so we're selfies in practice are a tiny minority of muslim tidy minority but they dominate the discourse online so and then i suppose because of that they you see muslims are different from christians in the sense obviously they're different but they're different in the sense that muslims are keen to practice so when they want to learn they go online and they search something and the answers they get are selfie answers but christians are kind of post structuralism they post institutionalization so they don't really

1:58:25

do that they don't really look for fatwas the way muslims do still so i feel a time will come i'm not saying we won't need fatwas of course we'll need fatwas but when i say institutionalization institutionalization doesn't mean institutes okay because somebody once i read saying oh does mostly mean institutes no it doesn't mean that institutionalization is about power and control and wherever you look at power and control that is used

1:59:03

that robs the religion from its spirit and we you see because islam is all about god it's about allah it's about the connection between you and allah it's not about imposing sharia it's not and in today's day and age where would you impose what what does that even mean imposing sharia so because wherever people make islam about actions about as in rulings rulings are only for your personal thing so i believe this is wrong i don't do it if somebody asks me i can say that you

1:59:41

know if i'm educated i can teach them if i'm not educated in islam i can only say i heard that this person said this because we have so much halal and haram disagreements so much so much and we have at least four established schools of law that all disagree radically with each other and then we have countless other schools that are not in their entirety so in law legal islam legal islam is just a personal thing wherever legal islam is being made as a

2:00:21

it is the main drive that people have about telling people off this is institutionalization because subconsciously it's all about there are elements of control power sectarianism denominational divides about excommunication about you know sitting on that having that kind of mantle of i dictate what islam says even though people won't say it like that but that's in practice what's happening so and that really is such a disservice to the beautiful message of the quran and the sunnah really it is it's and it's a disservice to the message of islam so i do feel that a

2:00:59

time will come when inshallah muslims will break free from these shackles of institutionalization and sectarianism and they will go back just to to god to allah and to his messenger and just celebrating this amazing legacy that we have so i do feel that time will come and it will focus on humanitarian stuff as opposed to just on uh this power and structuralism right i'll share the link somebody did ask

2:01:37

uh there it is all right we'll start to wrap this up as well who do we have here chad man all right good to see you back on oh i'm fine i'm chilling we're on our uh summer break so we're going back to school in september so yeah time is already flying the summer is pretty much like the summers are halfway finished you know it is oh did you did you get the

2:02:17

estimated grades as well or was that they were yeah for us so we've got like grade 12 left i've i've still got grade 12 left right i'm going into grade 12 okay i just turned 17 so it's like we still are one year until the uni applications and stuff so because i was just reading today online that i think 40 percent of people got a's and a stars or something it was like and yeah yeah exactly hyper inflation yes exactly exactly yeah so [Laughter] the greed's role what's gonna happen let's see let's see what happens yeah all right man what's going on man what anything you'd like to share any

2:02:56

thoughts any uh questions comments quite yeah for sure yeah uh so i just gotta thank you once again you are the one that really saved my faith right when i had my faith crisis and stuff like that you were the one that really saved it you dr shazad saleem people like dr shabir ali you know there were the these you guys were the ones that really saved my faith right so i have to give you guys i i love i appreciate that it means it means a lot it means a lot yeah also i guess i've got like uh just two questions i just got to cover up it would be awesome if i just get a quick answer so there um verse 33 it mentions that like the

2:03:34

athlete are purified from basically uh sins and stuff like that right and the hadith in sahih muslim you find it's from aisha right where he mentions that uh one time the prophet sallallahu alaihi were a cloak great and he went outside and then imam hassana islam uh you know fatima then imam ali al-islam right and then the process put the cloak around them and then he recited they say that this verse was revealed on that occasion and then they mentioned that uh then surah 33 verse 32 was revealed basically so based off this verse right uh do you personally believe that the wives of the unbeate are the wives are basically part

2:04:12

of that because the hadith also if you want to look into it you can also see the muslim and stuff in the sideline it does mention that like um i tried to come on the clock but then the prophet saws forbader and as bosses said you are you have your own merits and stuff but then the the alukis are many these these five uh individuals and stuff so do you personally believe that the why do you personally believe that like the the wives of the prophet salam are like part of the ayahuasa yeah you see what i would ask is i understand the question but i would ask that this question must be nested in a discourse it must be you must be stemming from at schools so i would want to know what that discourse is and that

2:04:52

would kind of determine for me uh what i'm going to what i'm going to say what would you say i mean in your case what is that greater discourse me personally like i honestly i percy i'm more inclined to believe that the wives are not part of that beat but i can be wrong i feel like but i mean no i i get that but what's the uh what's the discourse like what what is this like what are the ramifications of this uh polemics i think sunni and shia polemics i'd see so that's what i sensed yeah

2:05:29

yeah you got it yeah so as into as in okay so i sensed that anyway but let's kind of let's hone in a bit more sure so what does it do let's say being this part of this does what what does it add i don't know i was just gonna i feel like um as as a sunnis i feel like we have to put like emphasis on like the actual bloodline of the of the prophet islam right we pretty much these days up from what i've seen is that us and he's really like blacklisted them right in my opinion this from what i've seen that you know like um after this dynasty and

2:06:09

all this started i feel like there we've always like most of the cities i've seen they don't want to mention in the minbars whenever they're preaching and stuff you know we'll mention iran but then when we come to the bait when we mention imam ali islam and these imams are completely black with them we don't we don't mention them and you know what the one thing that really broke my heart i'm just i'm just saying this straight up when i was reading through even sunnah right wallahi i felt disgusted the stuff he says about like uh the the imams or he'll do anything just to belittle like he says that the verse of uh do not come to prayer with like when you're drunk

2:06:47

was revealed because of imam ali this this type of stuff you know and he also says stuff like you know it's hakim and stuff is like more knowledgeable than you know this is the stuff this is the stuff you find so i feel like us sunnis we have to really come back to a little bit you know and one thing to keep in mind is that do you think why would why would we just as sunnis be uh be rich be defined by hypnotamia i feel like that's generally that the salafi sort of movement you know generally

2:07:27

yeah yeah yeah so generally sunnis never used to refer to me i mean this is a very selfie thing to do yeah yeah yeah i know yeah because you see look i would feel to me i would just want to know what the discussion is because i feel we should have love for each and all yeah exactly and you know when somebody tells me they have love for the family of the prophet i think that's amazing well he'd like to to me in fact just a couple of days ago i was speaking to us

2:08:07

from people probably know him he's a musician as well he's online he writes uh stuff usually on facebook and other social media so we were just chatting on clubhouse and we're just having this discussion now he's somebody he always emphasizes the love of the for the family of the prophet sallallahu alaihi he's very in fact he will even though he doesn't really i don't think he goes by labels but from that side he will even accept you know if you want to call me shia ko mishi is like that and i you know that love that he professes and i've seen people profess it it wows me

2:08:44

and i i love seeing it i i you know it's true maybe not everybody gets so passionate about everything in the same way but i think this is something we should aspire to uh because they are from the prophet sallallahu alaihi or related to the prophet sallallahu alaihi but yes this so the discussion to me would be well what is it that we're trying to i am personally beyond and not interested in the sunni shia kind of debate to me that is a debate of history and whatever it is has happened i don't

2:09:23

see any i see both sides have they have some strong points and both sides have um um kind of just baggage that they carry and mistakes where they clearly or incomprehensible kind of statements some both sides have i personally am clearly uh identify as a sunni and part of that thing uh part of the sunni kind of sphere but that said i recognize you know within our tradition there are times where we overdo it you know people just because of this sunni shia debate they will now like you said they will refuse to even mention people or exactly but that said that said i don't think

2:10:02

it's necessary to always mention everyone because that gets that's a non-exhaustive list like i mean you can't because everybody will always say oh but you missed him out or you missed him out but that said right when this discussion does come up you are right that there are certain things that the sunnis have done which is just to make a point against the shia which is otherwise it wouldn't have been a big deal but they did it just because you know we can't stand shia for example so we're going to hammer this point to hell back you know it's like and i agree with you and even i've got a video on the fedex thing i think this

2:10:40

whole discussion is i'm beyond these kind of discussions i don't see the point of them and i personally did say i see you know what fatima de la anaha was saying and i think she in what she was saying was correct and i also i understand where abu bakr al-ilan was coming from and i gave my explanation that look i understand and i felt this was my personal interpretation i could be wrong i felt that he was overwhelmed by the demand and he felt that that that wouldn't have been the the strategic thing to do right then because if fatima radhila anha had asked for just

2:11:20

a particular but in the hadith that by generally transmitted she asks for the whole she asks for many things which she feels are she's entitled to now it would have been too much because the muslims were in a state of you know that everything was could potentially go into disarray that said on the side what is said or or although he didn't say it but the the masala is that if a muslim leader acquires something whilst on a muslim kind of uh uh pro a project of a military campaign

2:11:59

does that belong to him personally or to the muslims i would agree that it belongs to muslims not to him personally but i also accept the complexity because that's not the argument mentioned in the hadith the argument mentioned in the hadith is one of inheritance which is not then this argument so i actually side with this argument with abu bakr but then i'm confused why it's not mentioned in the hadith and what's mentioned is about inheritance which i would think well in that case well then i think fatima or the illinois is right but my point is look i think we need to move beyond all of this because what's happened has happened i can't change it you can't change it all of us put

2:12:38

together can't change it and you know if we just keep going on sunni xiao these guys said this about you know and then you know what do you say about people say people are really intrigued that why i i am very fond of we are of the illinois and yeah that's strange sometimes and yeah and i said but i just find his personality of how he is and so you see people say yeah but you know they said this and they said this and i think look we need to move beyond sectarianism right because we need to kind of see a common uh what we have between us as sunnis as shia as other people what we have

2:13:18

between us is a thousand times more uniting than what we have that divides us like we disagree on some points only we all agree on allah on the afterlife on we agree on the prophet on the quran on everything i mean we even if we agree on for the vast majority of everything on the same even if you take shia it's for the most part it's going to be just like sunni fit for the most part yeah it's only going to be certain things so yeah and i and i you see i say people are just born muslim no sorry

2:13:57

people are just born intersex you're born a sunni i'm born a sunni somebody is born ashiya now some of us we study it then we're taught about other rising people say oh my god stay away from the evil people and they say oh my god sunnis are like this and they say shia like this you see look we are what we are tk whatever has happened has happened in history let's try and find some common things and move forward so if coming to your question i do believe they are from the family of the prophet the wives but it comes back to what do you do you mean so if somebody said do you feel that they are the lineage of the prophet then i would say no they're not obviously i

2:14:36

agree with that it's not from your lineage so she's different because you could technically divorce a wife and then she becomes an ex-wife and so she's no longer part of your immediate kind of family so i get that and i would agree with that definition although you know the prophet didn't divorce these wives that the main wives that are part of the discussion so and a wife is also an incredibly beyond just being an intimate partner is an incredibly essential person in the life of someone so that that can't also be sidelined because on many occasions people will

2:15:15

confide in their wives with certain things that they may not with other people or they may share and i don't just mean intimate in a sensual way i mean intimate moments of of the humanity with let's say a man will with a woman which he may not with with his friends or with other people so they are also incredibly important people so just celebrating it all i don't that's how i i know it's a it's it's it's hard yeah

2:15:56

one thing so just can you just give me a quick uh on like in your opinion right uh do you believe like tawasu through like the 12 imams would be permissible in your in your opinion like there's an aeration you find in even headbands like right where he mentions that he used to go to imam ali riddles like grave and stuff and he'd do tawasu through him right and like he mentions that almost my prayers whenever i used to like go like imam ali rivals the grave and stuff and dude like in through in in his like masjid in iran like his like his his prayers would be accepted so in european just a quick yes or no like do you personally believe that like tawasu is permissible in like in a sunni sense do you like do you personally be better yeah i don't i don't believe i don't believe it's silk

2:16:36

okay in the sense but i believe in really the the the the grand mission of the prophet sallallahu alaihi was to bridge the divide that humans had between the personal and the transcendent god and because people humans struggle with that so i would say the same way i get it because i've studied you know philosophy of religion i've studied these things and i i i understand i studied psychology why human beings do that but if they just have they train themselves they try they can develop a personal relationship

2:17:15

with god that they can feel that look i can just call upon god like i don't need to i get it look sometimes we all do it like sometimes we all do it like don't get me wrong like sometimes we will all say that to you know we'd say yeah allah you know look i'll tell you what for the love of this do this for me you know it's a human thing to say it isn't it yeah yeah like the way we say to people i say to you you know like oh i can do this for you know what for you know what for the love of this club we've got just do this for me or for the love of this just we all do kind of at times it's human nature and i get it and we we may do that with allah in our

2:17:54

to a human thing but as a premeditated like i'm gonna say do this ritual i would say look take that leap and reach for the hand of god and allah will catch you he will catch you man much love right so people that was chad man whoa and i did want to wrap this up earlier today right what i'm going to do right now is share a um the discord group link to the book lounge so those of you that haven't already uh

2:18:33

heard about that is i've launched a book club where's my book god damn oh here it is right so by yuval harari this is um this is really green the cover but it's by yuval harari money it's an interesting book incredibly fascinating so such a quick read honestly you'll do this really quickly and it's an easy read and a fascinating read he's um he's just so captivating with his words and he speaks about money and from a human psychological perspective so at the end of the month on the 30th

2:19:13

it's a monday we'll discuss this we'll come on and we'll kind of discuss it chat about it it doesn't have to be anchored in religion let's talk about it yeah what did you like about it what do you think about the concept of money and human nature and so i'll share the uh the discord i've set up a discord server and what we'll do is each month we'll have a a different book we've got different channels in the server we'll have a channel on there for recommendations of books we've got one on there for recommendations we've got one for quotes you can share fascinating things for this month's book you know i've read this this really wow you can just share it on they've

obviously got a chat chat chat room in in on the server so and in addition to that we've also got one where people if they want to share books like pdfs and things they can share it um on that in that space so it's all on that server it's just called the book lounge and i'm going to share that out now right if it gets is that getting sent right i've sent it there it is it's on it's on the link so do if if you're interested in the book lounge that is so it's something i want people to do

2:20:31

where we can have intelligent discussions and one of the objectives behind this is i want us to entertain ideas that we don't agree with i want that i want you to engage it and think you know what that's interesting but this is why i disagree and that is the sign that is the hallmark of an intelligent mind that you can do that that you can engage an idea without embracing it you can talk about it and we'll have a different book and we'll have recommendations so and we will the end of month discussion we're going to have so those of you people who want

2:21:11

to join the server it is for people who are active and it and it's easy to be active guys it's really easy the books won't be long books i mean there'll be this is you know this is really i think what is it like about probably these are small pages probably about 90 or 100 pages i don't i'm sure on kindle it's only about 70 odd pages but it's like this and it's also a a like a kick i don't know it's a booster let's put it like that for those of you that want to read more but find yourself not being able to do so now you can be

2:21:50

part of a group so i'll share that again there it is join away right now let's take on one two people then we're going to wrap this up and before wrapping it up i'll share some a quick story about dog the poet let's bring on uh who we got here who we got all right raju shahi raju ah

2:22:31

yes so this is interesting i actually started watching yours uh youtube channel two thousands a long time ago two three years ago wow from sweden where where are we from sweden wow oh but now right now i'm in sydney actually in australia so raised and upbringed in sweden and i have to say man um i really enjoy your channel it gives me uh you know the mental uh uh you know like training it's really really really fantastic and i i i wanted to share something with you mufti that uh there was a there was

2:23:11

a time when i was really so long as it's not covered the rest so you know when i was younger 17 i started with tabliq that was the first place i started to come in contact with islam before that i was living in sweden in you know living a different kind of life but you know after doing it for 10 years i was fed up i was like no this is not going anywhere i want more in life and i was giving it up like you know from being hardcore to not doing

2:23:50

anything yeah and i was confused like what is this is this all it is about do you know i'm i'm more like a person who wants to think about things and that's why i came to islam and i remember one of the you all you know you say that um we come with guidance to god with logic and thoughts and mind and then when we come in you just need to accept everything and i had a really hard time with that man i i want to ask you why is that why do we have this you know um as a ummah why do we have this you know

2:24:28

when you in uh you don't ask anything that's how it is because i don't feel that how that is you know muslims and islam is we are here to be the best you're right absolutely i mean that is unfortunately you see what you're speaking about is dogmatism this kind of once you embrace islam you switch off uh all the intellectual you're not allowed to question things you're not allowed to or if you can question you can only question at a superficial level you're not allowed to delve deeper into things if you do people you know it becomes it's that institutionalization steps in you can

2:25:07

only be now you must believe in these 165 points oh you didn't believe in one of them you check him out you know unfortunately yeah this this is not the way of the prophet sallam this is a caravan of hope and mercy the prophet sallallahu alaihi sallam said bashir ubashiru bring more and more people give them glad tidings you know and it's interesting because earlier on i spoke about jesus uh and saying about his teachings and the samaritan and the injeel right the the gospel just means

2:25:46

the glad tiding and this is what this hadith is that the prophet is saying this is what you should do just give the glad tidings don't give the opposite wallet and i feel that's what we do today right but we do the opposite we do the other thing we make everything hard everything difficult like you know simple things it's it's our weakness we are as people you see humans not just humans even animals they wish to exert control on their environment psychology teaches us so we unfortunately bring that into the deen

2:26:25

so we um some people may do it unknowingly maybe they're not thinking about it but aren't here to liberate us so why did we come back to this narrow-minded and locked-down way of thinking way of doing things in our life when the prophet muslim came here to liberate us from the shackles that we are already is is we you know going to that question was somebody asked me earlier on about do i feel about islam kind of reviving itself and i said yes that people will cut away from this but this and they will go back to and this

2:27:04

is why imam malik said that you see a time will come when people will go back to the first stage of islam how people were first year which was free free thinking but people today people telling you these people this is how they learnt it they learned it confessionally they learnt it dogmatically so they are passing it on to you no critical thinking just like you know narrated down to you that's what he actually is crazy thinking is is goldust man it's goldness we don't find it so easily yeah

2:27:42

but no and it feels like if you have it also if you also have it it's like you're weird like what are you talking about why don't you accept this you should just accept it so yeah unfortunately that's the institutionalization of religion but i do feel that more and more people are they have they they're being forced to wake up because if you don't wake up you're gonna get hit so hard with people questioning religion that you don't know how to answer it the only other way is you completely bury your head in the sun and then if you do you will get a you might get away with it but your children won't

2:28:21

how will they their islam survive so [Laughter]

2:28:55

[Laughter] it gives you the excuse to use the the the quote that you know that your name say raj you know raj raju is basically coming from king and emperor and that's what i wrote

2:29:34

right people that was raju joining us from sydney and wow some interesting discussion there that has been fascinating uh right so people it's be we've gone on so long today i did say somebody asked me to discuss uh say some words about because last week i quoted a poem from so people said what was his uh love story man the love story so i thought why not let's let's i tell you what

2:30:12

let's share that with you guys so those of you that don't know his basic biography ah you can check that out man i'm not going to be go through all of that but he was born in the 1830s in dilli and he did actually manage to uh thrive in the elite circles and his mother eventually married and his mother is um quite a personality as well there's been many detailed books written on her um she marries eventually she has several marriages and eventually marries into

2:30:49

royalty which is uh his i think his eldest son or something and this is why dar then has free access to the palace and and all of that so he's like royalty by extension he's not royal but he's by extension and he has these patrons uh not like patreon page this one man so what was my patreon thing man man well out of this one man i gotta show some love to my patreons man

2:31:26

patreons man you guys are two in it much love much love as always so what um dog anyway there's this love story he at later on in life out of mid middle mid midlife midlife a midlife crisis man with life crisis he visits here they have these patrons he visits the annual festival mela of rampur those of you that watch bollywood would probably remember it from the shole films i think they also have the rampur

2:32:04

rampurka mela but so he actually goes there this is this is factual and he goes there and there upon he stumbles upon munni bhai not bhai but bye bye so munibai so munni is this kind of elite courtesan and this lady who is incredibly popular she's also a puppet poetess and then they have this elaborate love story and he stays there for months and then when he comes back they have this thing that they have to write to each other

2:32:42

and and he gets and some of dog's letters are kind of you know his messages are they're available and he will he says things like oh when he thinks she's taking too long like you know like today they say left on scene i left on red so it's like that so he he wrote to us saying i'll kill myself man if you don't write enough

2:33:08

and so he he has this elaborate thing and he writes and his poetry reflects a lot of that as well he has a lot of these poems um where he has this kind of subtlety to it um let me try and actually bring some i did actually put some here i don't know if i can bring them up uh let's see oh no it's going to take too long to bring him up here so actually let's see if i can do it

2:33:46

share the screen man share the screen oh there it is all right here you go look at part of this one man yeah there there is you can see some right there uh he's got lo so this is he says listen but he is referring idols was also beautiful women it says listen but it's a play on words because it can also mean deities so and he says that

2:34:28

that who would worship these beautiful women that today he went to the mosque and became a muslim and he's got and you can see there as well that is and this is a play on the word you know and this is his his whole thing of as you can see um complaining kind of crying crying out let me just

2:35:05

take that off crying out and so the love story getting back to that he does go back after a while he visits the rampur festival again and things are going a bit hunky-dory so this is like a distant relationship long distance long distance man but then upon one visit he finds out that she's already married she married a uh that too a molvy she married a maulana so that was like well heartbroken and so he he writes to her these letters

2:35:43

saying that look what on earth is this and you know how come like he doesn't tell her off or anything because that's her choice but he just says to her that he really wants to make it happen man make it happen so she writes to him laying out her conditions saying that i want a a house i want this this this she lays out these kind of things and he doesn't seem to i don't know he doesn't seem to do it because she says i want all of these i know and then and

2:36:17

this one says not just the hanky-panky man she says i want the [ __ ] so he doesn't seem to do it because he um he doesn't and and then this goes off for years and he really it's something that he he feels i didn't quite understand why he didn't do that but for whatever reasons he doesn't accept her conditions and and then check this fate huh

2:36:55

he says on his um right he says this will be the death of me and you know you coming your arrival in such a ways it would be better that you didn't come what happens decades later almost 20 you know maybe over a decade and a half later at least so it's she does turn up she comes back to that she actually comes she's whatever has happened we don't know what happened with her

2:37:34

previous marriage and she comes to that and says that i'm ready like i'd like to marry you and by this stage dog has aged yeah he's aged man he's now almost 70 years old wow look at that this is why i said you know this poem that is she comes and even at that stage even though dar is old he he had this deep-seated love for her so he thinks of course let's you know it's it's come full circle so he's about to marry her but then his

2:38:14

friends and not his friends kind of his the people around him because he is like a prestigious figure people around him warn him that don't do this she's only come at this stage for your money and for your wealth and for you know because you're this old you're 70 and you'll probably be kicking the bucket soon so she's going to get the inheritance and blah blah blah all this stuff so they actually managed to dissuade him so he says no to her

2:38:48

[Laughter] right so she he turns her away and you know he that this turning her away he does it in the moment and in the months that follow it breaks him down so much and he writes about that he says how did this ruin happen like this to my life and how did such a person i love how did i leave them and

2:39:27

and then he falls ill and and within i think just a couple of years actually dies doesn't actually get to fulfill all that uh love story of his and it's quite tragic actually when you think about it in that way but he is one of the most celebrated poets his poem that that i cited before where he says

2:40:01

that love is something that you have it's has thousands of amazing aspects to it those who don't do it all i can say is that you're doing it man you're doing it guys you're doing it so this is a poet those of you that are interested in definitely advise you to uh read up on him and other poets it adds to your to to you as a person and to it gives depth to your perception of life by reading these poets he says um and i'll tell you something interesting

2:40:40

about him as well he always felt and this comes to uh it's interesting because it starts with the self-esteem he felt he was quite ugly and even though if you see pictures of him i mean you i mean okay he may not be like a top model but you wouldn't i don't know you wouldn't necessarily think he's but he felt people had said to him that you were ugly when he was younger so he embraces this with the name da which means a stain you see and that becomes his kind of title that he uses in the

2:41:18

poems and he says and he's kind of proud of it and he boasts he says they say who is this person with this popularity have you ever read that divan is the collection uh the poetry collection of da and he plays on it in um he has a slick line where he says couplet where he says

2:42:02

so this is the person who han's message is a bit like a postman he's saying if they ask then tell them if they ask where does where is doug's address he says that he says his name his tag name his nickname is da and he lives within the hearts of those who love but there's a play on words here because da stain you see it's been it's been long

2:42:41

understood especially in the literature world and even in arabic that if you tear if you dissect the heart there is a black stain within it which is called in arabic they call it uh and this is why he says in his poem you see that he says even though the people i hate or whatever they're like but those i love that they their heart their love is within that black stain within the heart

2:43:18

so this he says so i thought i'd share that so reflect on it people it's been awesome i've shared the discord link for the book lounge if you want to be a part of it you want to read books on a monthly basis you want to get involved then go for it much love and let's hear your thoughts and ideas about different ideas other than that i've if you've not already let me see what can i say yep

2:43:57

if you've not already liked and subscribed [Laughter] it doesn't cost you [Laughter] you know this is the this is the thing you see this shows the true miserly person so spread the love man do the love man do the love don't do the hate man so do like subscribe youtube instagram click the notifications on youtube and if you want to show some extra love you know those people they go yeah

2:44:35

and i can't i can't contain it man then they can head over to my patreon and they can show their love on patreon you can select the tears you can become part of the patreon group that has its own discord server called mindscape and once you if you join that with the tiers um depending on whatever suits you it's it gives you a link to join discord and it's it's all automatic on the and there's different things this group sessions this private one one on one man this is the private man people other than that it's been epic i said to myself today two hours is tops but look here i am again

2:45:14

you know it's like i make that mistake time and time again people take very good care of yourselves much love as always right remember me and your kind to us is
