all right people whoa is that my tash coming along right damn what a day what a day just get on to this memento ah

0:35

i'm just gonna share these people i really need to change my accommodate for people and their timing as opposed to but what can we do what can we do wow

1:17

all right we are live people we are live that's what i'm talking about in swag at them right so

1:57

what's going on what's going on look at that people he's coming along i need to put that other that other kind of what is it like kind of dry wax on it but let's see people what's going on what's going on boy what has happened to the world people what has happened to the world god damn have we got a few things to discuss tonight or what and from all seriously from all monday nights tonight was the one that i was actually feeling one

2:35

there's such pressing issues and then what a day it been for me totally exhausting today so i'm completely out of it but folks the show must go on i guess [Laughter] all right so how are people doing what is going on people what is going on what is some of the um i will be discussing on tonight's

3:11

show with nilla the rcrb case i will definitely be uh looking at speaking on a bit of background the islamic kind of perspective on uh blasphemy and stuff like that also i'd been asked on a on a few occasions to give shed some light on some of the quranic stories so i'll be taking a look at solemn and why is this not that's better rebel it keeps turning back

3:50

so solemn and the throne of bilkis and i'll discuss a bit about what how we approach stories within the quran okay in addition to that is there anything now let's what are some other key issues people uh uh those of you that are are aware well it is uh a bonfire in the uk right so this fireworks going off in the background still till now and

4:29

where is my poppy i seriously have just been so distracted otherwise i would wear a poppy absolutely absolutely support that um now um those of you that are with is a very uh strange i mean there's a very disturbing video going around uh in light of bonfire where people have made a structure of the grenfell towers and they've set them uh they've set in a light they've burnt it and

5:07

they're kind of all joking and laughing and they've uh got a few i don't know certain characters jumping out of the windows and and and muslims as well presumably because they're saying oh look there's a few ninjas ninjas are supposed to be i take it the nekavis um so this has been doing the rounds um it's a viral clip it's very disturbing it is disappointing at the least to see how people have really treated that issue uh

5:45

so insensitively that's what i would say especially given the fact that really the grenfell tragedy was i think was really a uh a governmental one it was the the people at fault were the government and it was a failure on the part of the government that resulted in the loss of life and then the the the services that arrived gave instructions people could have maybe saved their own lives but they were told to sit tight and as a consequence

6:25

many people lost their lives unfortunately and just to see people very insensitively kind of mocking that i so that's going on i mean that's very disappointing um with racial undertones there as well so i'm not quite sure i know that the police are investigating that and and i think the home secretary had also tweeted about it so hopefully those people will be taken to task for that right so uh what else is going on people what else

7:04

is going on um can i touch up on the ongoing crisis in yemen um i mean i've spoken about this on a few occasions that where i've mentioned that really for muslims our issues even we may at the face of it pretend we may even convince ourselves that our issues are humanitarian but in essence they're highly politicized and sectarianized and stuff like this so um we will speak about

7:40

certain international tragedies selectively and we will completely omit and ignore and uh disregard other tragedies and a key example is um is yemen and that is a muslim on muslim tragedy where you have saudi arabia bombing the hell of uh yemen and massacring really uh innocent innocent lives countless innocent lives and resulting in one of the greatest

8:18

famines to the of our recent times and yet there it warrants no international attention and it warrants no real it seems to warrant no real islamic attention so muslims don't seem to be too fussed either the so i think i mean that is something i've spoken about time and time again and uh i do so just to to highlight one the the urgency the pressing nature of the actual situation at hand uh for the victims in yemen and two for the hypocrisy and double standards that we

8:57

seem to have as muslims right what else is going on man what else is going on people talk to me talk to me people what else saudi arabia are fighting houthi terrorists uh yeah right what a joke [Laughter] i mean seriously can saudi arabia are like the number one exports they export terrorism there isn't you know i mean just just take a look at this khashoggi case

9:36

recently i mean that that is a clear situation this is what saudi are exporting um the house of sod or i need not speak about the house of sod everybody really knows um so i don't think but one thing that they're not doing is i mean they okay from to be objective they may crack down on terrorism as well because terrorism to them is anything that's threatening the state

10:14

uh by the state sorry the monarchy right the royalty anything that is basically anything that triggers an alarm bell in the house of sod they will definitely crack down on that so i understand and amongst the people they're cracking down on will be terrorists as well so i accept that they are doing stuff like that but while simultaneously being a hotbed of extremism and terrorism um that said mbs did call to revise a lot of laws and

10:54

a lot of teachings and a lot of so we'll see how that plays out inshallah cool what's going on people what's going on australian lady convicted about talking about the prophet yeah that was an interesting case that's an interesting um can we be and you know i watched some videos on sorry i watched a video on youtube um by ex muslims for example questioning um just like a kind of public

11:32

um poll conducted by uh by viduvids and on can we criticize muhammad or should we be allowed to should we be penalized for criticizing uh the prophet muhammad or criticizing islam i mean i don't watch the whole thing i watched a certain amount of it and i could see that they were mixed but one theme that i saw recurring right throughout that that public poll was that people were saying and this was non-muslims as well

12:11

that it's more about how you criticize um and i think that's you see because i believe and support uh freedom of speech okay um freedom of belief freedom freedoms of expression of these kind of things i feel are mandatory in our uh in our day and age in for humans to prosper so we do we so the question would be that does that not

12:49

entitle us to critique religion does that not allow us to and i would say it does allow us to critique religion um and if somebody asked me that as a non-muslim do can they critique islam i would say that they absolutely can critique islam and they can if they if they would say can they critique god can they critique the prophets i mean that is they they have free will they can do these things they are people who do not believe perhaps in god they do not believe in his prophets they do not believe in

13:28

revelation um and that's fine i would however say that there is something about breaching the peace um we things are not necessarily critiques but they are just um it is just inflammatory uh insults that are just constantly being hurled under the banner of freedom of speech now that that becomes an interesting kind of arena an interesting ground at that

14:07

stage that where do you draw the line then because i don't feel that just because because freedom of expression is really so people can move forward it is a progressive thing it is not about just being condescend it is i mean it is not about just trying to hurt people that that's not what it was ever meant to be about although in the process the truth may hurt and offend certain people so that this is an it is a subtle

14:46

yet a um such an instrumental difference and a point that yes the truth can offend people and if they are offended then tough that is true and i support that but the expression the right to express what you believe to be true was never about just solely trying to hurt people that was a byproduct so the issue is when the objectives get switched around and people do things to

15:24

incite a kind of hatred against the people they try to kind of dehumanize other people by and they try to slander them and do things under the banner of free speech then that is i think that's an interesting um dialogue that has to be had and i and i don't agree with that i don't agree with the sole objective of just trying to cause harm to people i i disagree with that and i don't support people that do that i do support people

16:04

that believe they are seeking the truth and and they want to express it even if it does offend people that is a different category of people that's like muslims that is what that can be muslim and it doesn't have to be it could be anybody the right and in fact one would argue that is that was the primary mission of prophets in islam was to speak what they believed to be the truth and it was offensive to the the people so when the prophet spoke about these statues are not actually

16:42

true deities and they're not gods that was incredibly offensive but the prophet was never trying to offend the people he was just trying to state to them the reality in saying that look there's these superstitions are detrimental so yes i hope that shed some light on this whole thing but yeah i do agree it is an interesting it's an interesting dilemma um that where do people draw the line all right people so what else is going

17:20

on freedom to lie and provoke should never be legal freedom to lie hmm that's an interesting one for the philosophers you see lying i've said this before in and of itself i don't believe unless it causes harm you see because you can't because an imaginary story is a lie because a lie by definition is that which does not

17:57

correlate with reality so santa claus is a lie the tooth fairy is a lie many things are lies this in fact there's so many lies that we are so embedded in that they are now part of our psychosocial reality that without those lies our reality would collapse and that's an irony that look for example money having value is a lie it's when i say lie

18:36

i mean it doesn't correlate with reality there is no reality to it it is simply a psycho-social construct that human beings have created amongst ourselves nationalism patriotism monarchy governments the the right to create law law itself [Laughter] human rights everything in essence is just an imaginative reality um i mean when we what are the these

19:13

things are not actually real constructs they don't actually exist race all of these things i mean some things do exist like let's say ethnicities exist uh with we're talking about dna we're talking about haplogroups we're talking about genetics but race is a social construct it there's an overlap with ethnicity but they are not the same thing but my point is that so many things are then created they're not actually they don't correlate with any reality and i've said this before the the right to possession is but

19:53

really fiction you know it doesn't actually exist and when we start to so weird where can we truly draw the line so to say you see it's interesting that's why i said it's one for the philosophers that hmm lying but where lying causes harm it should be it is haram in islam okay so that's um if that makes sense i know um is part of the survival of human call it a product of i mean the social construct

20:32

social constructs are the unique kind of tools of human beings um it's not just about survival it's beyond survival we do things it's for prosperity as well it's not just survival simple survival but it is you see we and that's what what wittgenstein said when he said that even if a lion could speak english uh we would never be able it would never be able to understand us because it is not simply the language but the psychosocial constructs that we hold in our brain

21:09

and we take for granted um so yep people are saying really why why why are people all saying some people are saying sunni defense the wahhabi defense anyway let's not waste time on those idiots so what else is going what caused the current downfall of muslims hmm i don't know about what caused the current

21:49

that's such a complex question so many things but i think i will be speaking a bit about the pakistan issue is the prophet's body began to rot which contradicts the sahih right i'm not aware of any such hadith that the prophet's body began to rot there are a hadith that the prophet the bodies of the prophets are preserved um now in all honesty no

22:27

no prophets whereabouts is known except our prophet the prophet muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam there is no authentic whereabout of any other prophet ever i mean everything else like they say you know john the baptist is over the yahya uh or they say zechariah or they might say certain prophets they're not authentic they may be they may not be um there's a huge chance that they're not um another prophets are just missing moses uh we don't really know it's really interesting actually that the israelites

23:06

you know in many ways moses musa islam took him all through this this miracle of a journey and before they reach before they cross the river jordan and they can get moses uh allah passes away and they're obviously just more occupied with the kingdom of israel they're just like oh well and they've gone and nobody knows where where moses salaam where he died or i mean there's some description about you know him dying uh in in the old testament but there's no precise location they never

23:45

kept any um you know they never documented it they never they never really preserved it and even after they they do cross the river jordan and establish uh a kingdom and and then when even as it rises to power you know great prestige as it does one of the mightiest kingdoms uh of all time really in fact it's estimated that solomon uh solemn in his time that his kingdom was worth uh trillions of current day value the amount of gold that he was having brought in

24:24

uh and and it's interesting you know the the gold from uh orphea the place the the golden wedge or the the of oh sorry the gold wedge of orpheus and where is ophea nobody you know and all these people went off trying to find the land of ophia and some people actually believe it was arabia another said it may have been central africa and some people said it was down by new zealand and some people but they never really found it remains a mystery till today but that takes us off topic coming back to the the issue of moses

25:03

it's it's amazing that the israelites who documented everything [Laughter] you know it's like they're on their way to the kingdom and and the greatest prophet that they have that really risks everything to to make this happen for them uh he dies along the way and and we're they're just let's get to the kingdom and even once they've got it they don't think let's get you know maybe we should establish uh you know where we where he is where he was

25:37

buried maybe but uh humans are humans so the red sea is not where they were red sea moses was with them at the red sea obviously the red sea is why it's called the red sea there's there's a huge discussion and debate if i've got a i've recommended a book in the past i've got it no it's here somewhere but uh it's called the the miracle of the exodus and i definitely recommend it now because they've argued that the red

26:16

sea ought to have been called the reed sea but nevertheless the red sea because of most likely the the kind of shade and the reflection from the mountains which were also red uh which that had casted upon it therefore they would call referring to it as the red sea it's not actually known as the red sea okay so this yam what they refer to as the yam

26:43

that yamasuf as they refer to and suffers read in hebrew it's not red but red because of the color that was being casted onto it was most likely the gulf of aqaba okay and that's something i've i've spoken about our previously and mount sinai is not in the sinai peninsula it was in northwest saudi arabia and it is most likely but and it was a volcano but that's uh a topic that we've kind of discussed before explain surah

27:22

4 verse 154 is that the hitting verse is it the hitting verse is something i've explained already you can just google so you can youtube youtube yeah go go to youtube type my name in goddammit type in that and you can you can check out my response detailed response um somebody's asked about um killing the boy for future events right now i have explained in my understanding

27:59

right so i have explained this uh before that when we speak about the story of khidar al-islam you see i in my understanding in suratul kav when the story of moses and him going off with uh with a companion

28:40

on this journey and whether who that companion was whether it was joshua whoever it was that's irrelevant at this point but and it says [Music] and he says i'm gonna go and we're gonna you know i'm gonna reach the end of with with the kind of seas combine or basically i'm gonna set off on this journey and it mentions

29:09

that when he did reach this point of the two seas wherever that was and there's some difference of opinion on where that was so so they had forgotten the fish now what's interesting is

29:37

you see he goes on to say [Music] that bring me bring us our food that when they reach um when they go past this particular location he says basically we're tired we're exhausted bring us the food and he says the person with him to musa he says do you remember when we we kind of took to that rock and he's referring to when they took a nap

30:16

and they rested he says and this fish jumped off into the sea and it took a strange unique kind of path into the sea so moses says

30:56

[Music] and he there he meets a particular servant of god who allah says we had given him indeed a special knowledge that was dear or close to us now moses says to him that will you is it possible that i may follow you that you may teach me

31:34

from some of the guidance that you have been given now in this story where he mentions that do you remember when arwena illah when we rested by the rock so they set off on this journey and they go to sleep by this rock in my understanding they remain asleep and it is in the like it is a vision that they see that every like when they're getting up and they're setting off and everything that was all still they were still asleep that was all part of a vision and

32:13

hence the first sign of the vision was the fish jumping up that they had with them jumping up and then float just kind of floating through the air and going into the sea and that was the first sign that they were no longer awake that they were in a wakeful state that this was a vision that they were still asleep and and then the rest of the journey in my understanding that that where they go off takes place whilst they're asleep it's not something they actually do

32:51

so and hence they're jumping from scene to scene so all of a sudden they're on a ship and nobody else can see them on this ship and they're on this ship and and they kind of puncture they they create a hole on this ship and then they disappear and then next thing you they you know you know that they kills this boy or this child and says and then musa's obvious he's enraged that what on earth have you done and he says well don't worry and and next thing you know they're at some village and he's building a wall

33:30

and all these things they're not they're not things that you don't just suddenly appear on a ship it doesn't work like that and you don't suddenly disappear from the ship it's in the middle of the sea so this was all as part of that dream it was a vision that musa alayhi salaam and were upon so that's uh my understanding

34:01

but i mean people you know i'm sure why do many seem to be talking about violating laws of nature i'm not so sure they are speaking about violating laws of nature maybe we are interpreting them to be like that so i think that's the the difference muhammad williams versus or as it's read in certain recitations it is read both ways

34:41

so now the point is that one means a seal and one means somebody that closes now both do mean something different but they kind of if i you know if i can use the term they both equally seal the deal it's where it's mentioning that the prophet of god is khatam and nabiyin that he is somebody that sealed and what seal and some people translate seal here as ring that's not what

35:19

the is meant by hatam okay although some people may have said things like that but generally when the arabs wrote when they had a kind of when they had when they wrote a a sent a message a kind of letter to a king or something they would roll it up like this like a scroll and then they would seal it with a wax seal and that seal had a kind of stamp and that was what they referred to uh

35:55

as hartem okay like a seal it is also referred to as a ring i mean people can maybe some people have taken that understanding as a as in like a jewel that the prophet is a jewel of the prophets but my general understanding is that that's not what most people understand from khatam in that verse they understand the seal like the stamp because it seals a uh a scroll or a letter so if that was because the letter was a message you see and the prophets the russell

36:35

brought resala they brought letters i mean not physical letters but a letter a message from god hence they were messengers and the prophet muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam was like the kind of wax if you like the seal to the whole channel of messenger ship and the messages and through him this message will finally unfold in its complete majesty

37:13

so that serves the understanding of now you have heart him which would mean somebody that closes something and hence the the messenger of god closes nebula um once and for all so there are no more profits uh

37:42

still wanna hear no idea what is this i've read a spiritual vision believing can you touch upon why the standard sunni qualification for sahaba is so silly for the sunni standard qualification for suhba right okay now i have mentioned this before that look sunni definitions on what makes a companion are not monolithic they are not just one there

38:22

were so many opinions but the problem is that certain people they they their view just ended up dominating everything so today a lot of muslims just blindly quote ibn hajjar when it comes to what makes a companion a companion of the prophet and they'll just say anybody you know

38:51

and whosoever just met and they won't use the word because he could have been blind so whosoever met came whosoever had an encounter with the prophet and died upon faith they say is a sahabi this definition is really kind of refined by people like ibn hajjalaskalani other people way before him i mean we're talking like the 8th century of islam people way before him many scholars other people had not gone with these

39:30

kind of definitions their definition was a companion was somebody who was truly a companion of the prophet and that's the one that i go with and that's the one that as in somebody that you would truly say that yeah he's my companion not just because he met you because he truly was one of your near and dear friends that you would call a friend um so and i gave the example i've discussed this before and i gave the example of saying things like facebook i said like uh you like let's say i've got 5 000 friends on facebook

40:09

i couldn't really say that they're my friends the vast majority of them i mean they i could say they're my facebook friends because people understand what that means but i couldn't really say that they are my friends because they're not um i wouldn't even know them i wouldn't even know their names i mean so this whole thing that that's the analogy i've given in the past and some of the people of medina went with that said um and other people and my understanding is this is what imam malik would have been upon as well that's mine in fact i would have imagined

40:47

that most of the salaf would have understood that okay um yeah i mean it doesn't have to you know only a companion can tell who a companion is i mean i i wouldn't make that as a condition because it could be that you could have a personal relationship with somebody a dear relationship and other people who also have relationships with you that they're also friends are not really aware of your other friends that can happen it doesn't have to be that um but i would just say somebody who's had true companionship

41:26

as we understand the word so as you understand as say you've said like they've traveled with the prophet they've done things with him they've gone places with him they he said that they participated in battles or they did things and not just they one day passed by medina and just met the prophet and went and never saw him again right okay so

41:53

what is going on people what is going on shall we take a look at this asia bb case right so people there is a a bleep bleep storm that has erupted in in the in pakistan not even the indian subcontinent it's just pakistan people and let me give you the backdrop of what's happened

42:34

a lady by the name of asiya bibi who is from punjab from a place i believe she's from the surrounding villages of uh is it called nanika whatever i believe it's the same place where guru nanak was from i believe i could be mistaken but she's from pakistan and she's a christian and allegedly the she has blasphemed in the this

43:11

is the claim against her and some of the the movies have gone mad in and they've been just crying for her to be killed and this this is this kind of crazy outburst an outbreak that is taking place in pakistan uh right now right yep so uh is that i believe that is the same place i could be mistaken that that is i thought where guru nanak was from

43:48

nevertheless right so this incident it sparked fresh kind of rows and protests and mini riots and vandalism and things like vigilante hunts and all of these things because recently the supreme court of pakistan acquitted aseabe from any blasphemy charge and said that there is no evidence that can stand um to prove her to be guilty that

44:27

the the evidence was simply inadequate that was the ruling of the supreme court of pakistan and she was free to go this was after she served an eight-year sentence in remand awaiting this kind of trial so she's been so she has been sentenced previously by certain courts and then she appealed and then the other court found her guilty and then then it was appealed against and eventually it's reached the the ultimate court in pakistan known as the supreme court and they ruled that she's actually innocent

45:06

and the fact that they said this some of the movies uh completely lost the plot they they made public speeches people like uh you've got um you've got hadim hussain rizvi you've got uh is this is it i believe i may i may be mixing up his name but you've got some of these people from tahrir bake in pakistan and other malvis as well they took to the streets they they made public speeches where they declared the three judges

45:43

of the supreme court to be kafir they declared them to be wajibul that means they must be killed must be by commandment of god not just these movies they became the mouthpiece for god for a few moments and they declared these judges and they said that there's no way the supreme court could have done this without the knowledge of the army so the the chief of army uh

46:21

staff uh general bajwa him as well he's a kafir they said imran khan is a kafir uh he's a he's a jew so they they they they pushed him into the israelites that go he's a jew and these four are wagible so not only do they want these four dead but it appears god god wants these four people did obviously the fact that god can do it but he

47:00

he obviously in this situation can't he wants uh these movies to to do it for him so considering that one of them is disabled that's not the best person for god to deliver his message to [Laughter] i mean it's i'm just saying you know if god wanted really this job to be done i mean is he gonna really tell somebody that can't really get up and go and i mean because he's disabled so it's not really the best conduit for god to

47:39

to to make contact with to say hey i need you to get up and go and kill uh so that's a bit of a bit of a divine comedy going on there so this is that this is the situation now these guys made public speeches saying that these people are wajible and that the government should be toppled i mean i can't believe the audacity honestly i can't believe how these people can get away with that

48:16

that is sedition that is i mean and these people are politically motivated calling to topple estate incitement to violence incitement to extremism justifying vigilante murders in public rallying people to murder people in public i mean how are these people still just roaming free i don't what on earth is getting on these people are absolutely the hawari of this day and age this harigism of the past

48:54

was a it was a mental illness that these people have okay it was it was not a a sect it was a mentality and then they they've they've gone into certain speeches and imran khan i actually think in all honesty i think i i shared his speech his speech was really soft it was incredible i i thought it was too soft i i was kind of slightly disheartened at how soft it was but i can understand the dilemma he's in because naturally these people are saying that oh why don't you come and kill us come

49:34

and arrest us we're gonna we have we're ready to die we're ready to become martyrs and and this could just plunge the whole of pakistan into a civil war so i can understand his dilemma but he was incredibly soft he you know that they they should have been immediately arrested all of these people and they should face they should be imprisoned for that nonsense calling declaring people wajibul qatar that god has made an obligation to murder them [Laughter]

50:14

wow honestly and this so this is what's been going on recently so now the so and they've now asked but there's been some discussions afterwards and now they've said that there's going to be uh some kind of appeal that they can do to the supreme court the supreme court has asked bring your evidence now let's just pause that there and talk about for a moment what what are the laws by the way the laws in pakistan these blasphemy laws

50:52

in all honesty are not islamic per se as in they don't come from the quran and sunnah there is nothing in the quran or in the established sunnah that teaches you that you can kill somebody for insulting the prophet there is nothing now there are i want to clarify certain things that i'm not saying i'm not saying that scholars haven't said that

51:29

so scholars have said that and i say that at the forefront was the the maliki school and this is known so it's not something i'm going to shy away from and say that well i want to be very transparent here the maliki method was in and i'm talking about in the past i'm talking about in the medieval ages was one of the most harshest schools of islamic law when it came to blasphemy so they with the maliki madhhab and i

52:06

am a maliki so and i'm very aware of the rulings i'm much more aware than these so-called hanafi's that claim that oh we understand and we're taking this from the maliki method they claim to be taking this from the maliki method right so the maliki might have had this ruling now really this was what falls under kind of like a siesta to sharaya a kind of uh and you could say an islamicized a political ruling

52:43

that is that is laid out for certain um you could say as a deterrent in the past it was laid out for uh whatever reasons that you can imagine there were multiple reasons to to to serve as a deterrent to kind of um to extract people that they thought were were kind of spies spying on the muslim uh muslim communities for the enemy states it was also to naturally it was to silent any kind of criticisms that people didn't want

53:22

it was to do that as well and quite frankly why other people didn't challenge it because it didn't because why because they saw it as it doesn't bother us this is in the past okay in the medieval ages this is not from the time of the prophet this is not from the quran or the sunnah but it was a ruling within fick i accept it was a ruling within but there were many rulings within phil there was the rulings of slavery they all accepted slavery in the past they all accepted these things let's take a look

54:01

at the malikis today look at countries like morocco which represents a lot of the moroccan law when it comes to the actual islamic law in morocco is still deeply rooted in maliki it is actually clearly maliki ferc they actually have a the majlis [Music] [Music] that comes up and contributes to islamic law within morocco on things like family law

54:39

or on inheritance matters or on divorce and things like this blasphemy right now even in morocco they will recognize things like blasphemy to fall under breaching the peace now this is not a separate law and in morocco it does not carry under maliki today maliki rulings it does not carry capital punishment they do not murder people for insulting the prophet they do not do that and that is the entire maliki for they are there this is their contribution so when these

55:18

people try to quote maliki ulama they haven't got a clue what they're talking about right so i just want to clarify that the other thing is that the pakistan is a hanafi country it is based on hanafi first the hanafi fight from the offset from the time of imam abu hanifa said there were no blasphemy laws very clearly there were no blasphemy laws in and there are none in the hanafi method the hanafi books of law do not carry any they do not carry blasphemy kind of

55:58

punishments like capital punishment like kill the person and do stuff like this yes it could fall under breaching the peace so i accept that and that could fall under in any country if you breach the peace and you start creating certain um a certain amount of turmoil or certain amount of turbulence uh and general discord amongst the public that can carry a sentence that does exist in hanafi fear it does exist in all fix exists in secular law as well but we're talking about blasphemy law okay so i just wanted to touch upon this point

56:37

that that pakistan is based on hanafi does not have this law that you kill somebody for blaspheming pakistan introduced this right some people in pakistan introduced this and they reinforced it in our recent past okay this is not something from long before in hanafi and things like this and all of these movies today trying to say you should kill us your bb or so on so forth are not speaking in line with the wrong method which by the way they believe it is

57:16

haram to leave the hanafi madhhab so ibn abidin writes in his fatwa book it is not halal to give the fatwa by any other math hab except ours and you have people like karchi and all these scholars say that any opinion which is not the opinion of our people is either abrogated or it has a an interpretation and that is very clear that hanafi's are some of the most they are the most strictest method you have they are the strictest madhhab people

57:55

when it comes to blindly following the method it is haram for they declare it for hanafi's to leave their mother and to follow another method and the irony people like mufti taki have an entire book dedicated to why taklid ki sharay hesit that why it's haram to leave takleet and leave the madhhab and yet on this issue mufti taki will say oh it's okay we've left the mother because the government said it so it's okay but then the government said oh she's not uh the i mean the courts which is

58:34

what the the law of the government they've said oh asiya bibi isn't guilty and they and they say well oh no well you know well we're gonna hang her and we're gonna do this and and by the way when the law says something else so the law in pakistan says that well you can't say three talks as one sorry you can't like if a person says three talks that will not be counted that's the law in pakistan yet muftitaki and all these people they don't accept it and and i just listened to yesterday a speech uploaded on youtube by multitapi

59:13

saying the reason we accept this blasphemy law is because the government has instated it and whenever the even though it's against our method but we go with this because our because the law of the land has stipulated it so we accept it as though he's saying oh we don't want it but it's [Laughter] which is not saying by the way he's saying we do want it but the so this is just to clarify yet on all the other issues that the law of pakistan islamically introduces there are islamic rulings like on talak you can't give talaq like this you can't do this they reject it

59:52

they say we don't care they say that's you know that's nothing to do with we're just going to follow hanafi first so that's to make this clear okay now i want to just touch up on some of the evidences that these people have been using so these people have and then i want to come back to um come back to the case a bit right so about what she actually said uh in fact let's go to what she's actually said first and then we'll take a look at the evidences now here's the thing what i've read and i've listened

1:00:32

to some of the interviews online uh her family's interview and the other people and i've read online you see what seems to have happened is about eight years ago she was picked on in her village and this seems very plausible it seems very plausible the asia bibi was picked on for drinking water from from the village well because they said you ain't a muslim so you have polluted and contaminated our water now by the way this

1:01:09

this belief of non-muslims contaminating water or making things nudges making things impure or in urdu making things does not exist in islam in islam as a human being you are always pure you do not make things impure that is a hindu custom okay that they have certain low castes and the low cost the untouchable the achoot they can't kind of that you know if they if they touch a glass you're not allowed to drink from the

1:01:47

glass hence you see it in india a lot of the people whenever they drink water they don't actually even they don't even touch the glass with their lips and stuff they actually just pour it in because they're so used to that that the whole society has been built around people they're not allowed to share stuff like that because certain people are impure and so on this does not exist in islam yet they said to her that she is uh they said she's marasi and you know whatever uh you know from the turakum and this and that and she's uh a non-muslim and she's a car fare and

1:02:26

so on and so forth and therefore she has polluted her um the water now this led to a fight between her and these other ladies and this is very plausible and this is the what i've read of the details and i've heard in interviews now what's happened is this fight then later on was continued in which those ladies said to her uh so it was back forth back forth you know you this this this you impure infidel kaffir blah blah blah blah blah

1:03:05

you blah blah blah blah blah it's back forth back forth and then when this argument has resumed they've told her i tell you what here's a solution why don't you become muslim embrace islam and we'll call it quits okay so everything's it's cool you can drink the water you can do all this embrace islam so she said she said that why should i embrace islam

1:03:42

what has muhammad done for me this is what i've this is what i've uh come across in terms of the interview they then said oh my god how do you insult the prophet of islam so they beat the hell out of her they dragged her they attacked her home um then this mata got was ignored for i i believe it was five days nothing happened then they told the local movies the loca this because it began on saturday

1:04:19

and then it went all the way to friday on friday the local movies gave some khutbahs and speeches and incited the masses rallied you know gave their war cries like ah cafe insulted our prophet right did all of these things they then gathered a mob rallied them up took the the mob to her house dragged her out beat her up beat up her daughters uh i think they roughed up the husband as well uh they they said she's insulted our

1:04:59

prophet so then they said let's kill her so they brought some guns to kill her but then some person stopped them in the village and said look don't kill her just take her to the to the police call the police and let them arrest her so the police were called and the police actually rescue her then from this mob because they come in and she's being beaten slapped dragged her clothes were ripped her children they kept her daughter there her daughter was crying for water they didn't give her water didn't do these kind of things

1:05:36

beat her up the police come extract her and say don't worry we got this they take her away now what follows is there's there's a few versions some of these people turn up and they all are witnesses the problem is that all of their testimonies are drastically different about what's happened about what she said about how many people were present i mean like such an example is one person said there were 100 people there when this incident took place of blasphemy another person said uh yeah there were about five people

1:06:16

i mean that's how drastically different and these are people claiming to be actual witnesses so they've witnessed the event then what she said they've added things like somebody said oh she said this about bro somebody's saying no no she said this right drastically different i mean totally different stories of eyewitness accounts alleged eyewitness accounts so what's happened is the police originally kind of kept her she just said look yes yes i'm sorry i'm sorry now allegedly she owned up to

1:06:54

saying to blaspheming this is the the version she said i was disrespectful and i'm sorry now later on in court she said i was only saying that so i could say i was sorry i just said yeah it was my bad i'm sorry but i didn't mean it was my bad as in i actually said those things i was just being beaten up so i said this so anyway this has then eventually now reached the supreme court who've taken a look at the evidences and said are you having a joke i mean are you having a laugh this these stories are so irreconcilable that they've dismissed the case and she's

1:07:34

been acquitted but this is eight years later so that's the whole kind of backdrop to this whole case i want to say that this case has really demonstrated how we as muslims are so insecure islam which came as a mercy for the worlds we have become so blood thirsty islam came to protect the rights of people we like people right now these people these movies right now that are

1:08:13

having these fits and saying that we need to execute hang asia bibi hang us for god's sake let's just stop for a moment if she said look if she said what has muhammad done for me this is allegedly this is what some of the the accounts state that this is what she said but in all honesty she's asking a question like what to her as a non-muslim what has islam done for her it's done nothing and who is that a fault of who is at fault

1:08:52

we the muslims are at fault why is islam today just so mutated we it is our fault why has islam failed the people it is our fault people are quoting hadith look there is a hadith where the prophet speaks about towards telling of of a time where people will insult their own parents the companions ask that ya rasulallah that will people insult their own parents and the prophet

1:09:30

said or do does a person insult his own parents and the prophet said but when you insult somebody else's parents you are just inviting them to retaliate which in turn will make them insult your parents which means you are the one in essence who insulted your own appearance i mean you didn't actually do it but you set it into motion so when these people blaspheme if the if first of all that's not even blasphemy but even if they do like let's say there are people in in the world and i'm sure there's many

1:10:09

who do insult our prophet who do insult islam who do insult god whose fault is it is it god's fault is god at fault no we are at fault because we have set the whole thing in motion they don't know anything about islam except what we portray to them

1:10:35

so like people don't know anything about the prophet muhammad sallallahu alaihi except what muslims have told them we tell people oh yeah our prophet said this our prophet did this our prophet did that then people think well i don't want to be a bloody muslim so today all these people and another thing is i feel in some ways these movies are doing this to kind of in some twisted way to stick it to the west i feel that they kind of that ha in our country we will you know

1:11:13

this is what we will do which is so stupid it is so stupid and i want to take a look at some of these um these hadith by the way there's uh i was watching a somebody sent me a link to uh to a hadith somebody sent me a link sorry to a q a done by some maulana i don't know who he was but he was being asked that um how can you justify murdering somebody for blasphemy

1:11:51

and he quotes a hadith in sahil bukhari okay now the hadith that he quotes is to do with qatar now i want to highlight something apart from the the certain islamic to do with the chain but i want to ignore them for for now i want to go on the fact let's just take this story of capital ashraf there is an incident in sahil bukhari where the prophet commissions a whether it's two or three people in essence but these two primary people he commissions

1:12:31

to deal with kaab ibn ashraf and they go and they kill ka'bib now the question was why did this happen so they're trying to say that the reason the prophet killed ka'bib no ashraf was because capital insulted the prophet this is what the mulvi said and this is what they use so whenever you hear these people be very weary okay be very weary because kabbalah was not just your regular kind of person he was a very powerful

1:13:09

figure that had a huge not only following and support power and influence and he was using his power and influence let's take a look at what the hanafi great scholar bhadra dina laini who these hanafi's are supposed to be following what does he have to say about this he highlights uh in his book on the tulkari a commentary on sahil bukhari under the hadith that uh he he highlights under this hadith of kabbalah ka'bala also under the hadith of when the jewish

1:13:49

people were insulting the prophet so there's a hadith a famous hadith that the prophet was walking with aisha and a jewish person comes past and instead of saying assalamu alaikum he says assalamu alaikum that death be unto you and he said in a a kind of like a sniggering manner and being funny about it and the prophet knew what he said and the prophet just said wa alik and he and he walked off and aisha says to the prophet do you know what he just said and the prophet said i do know what he said this is a famous hadith but

1:14:26

commenting uh sorry uh in his commentary on this hadith highlights that this demonstrates that it is not permissible not permissible to kill somebody for insulting the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam because that is the hanafi madhhab remember in fact that is the method of the kuffien of imam abu hanifah of ibrahim of sufyana thori of all these great imams that was their method and that is still the method in the hanafi fit books and he writes that

1:15:07

and he says that this hadith is a clear dalil and imam bukhari seems to be on the madhhab of abu hanifah and the kufiin on this issue hence he titles this this chapter that if a me if a person living amongst muslims attempts or presents or or manifests certain swears or insults against the prophet and under that he has this hadith in which the prophet does not take that jewish person to account right now

1:15:45

now he mentions now listen to this is that as to people saying that this was because kaplan used to insult the prophet he says this is the most important thing

1:16:32

is [Music] he says that they did not kill these people like because of insulting the prophet but because they participated actively in the war against the prophet i with the people you haribona

1:17:12

that they who were who were participating in war against the muslims and the prophet and he highlights that there were many people highlights there were many people who insulted the prophet and they swore to the prophet and they even harmed the prophet and he goes with the incident although personally i don't believe that to be true but all these people do that the jewish lady who poisoned the prophet he said he gives that as an example that the prophet did not retaliate and she actually poisoned the fact that those people who commit shirk

1:17:51

they insult god who is greater than the prophet they insult god by saying god is a statue or god is this oh god can't do that or god for example god has a son as the christian say yet you are not allowed to say well oh my god you've blasphemed and allah doesn't say that in the quran to say that these people who commit shirk kill them or take them to task he doesn't say that and that is god that is people attributing insults to god allah says that the insult to him is so huge that the

1:18:30

mountains could collapse in the quran allah says yet yet allah says tolerate it have agreements with them live in peace if possible allah says this in the quran he doesn't say anybody who insults me kill them and that is about god himself and yet they're saying oh well yeah okay that's fine but anybody who swears to the prophet we're going to kill him even though the prophet throughout his lifetime allah commands the prophet

1:19:10

forgive them move on like let them be like like turn like be gentle to these people this is what allah guides the prophet with he instructs the prophet that be gentle the prophet obviously throughout his lifetime throughout his message was going to face a lot of insults he was going to face attacks he was going to face assault he was going to face a lot of harm throughout his journey the famous story of like the jewish lady

1:19:49

that would often try to insult the prophet and these kind of stories we've heard since we were children and yet when the prophet would look out for her that was the true embodiment of the hadith that the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said in a hadith o people not muslims o people i have been sent as a guiding mercy and the verse of the quran in

1:20:28

suratul ambiyanaka we have sent you as a mercy for the world for everybody we've sent you as a mercy for the muslim for the kafir for the mushrik for the atheist for those who insult you for those who love you for those for everybody

1:20:57

so to say that the prophet is not a and what kind of a mercy is that and you know every you know these hadith every single hadith that says that the prophet said whosoever insults me kill him are all fabricated there isn't a single sahih hadith there isn't a single sahih then there's another famous story by the way of uh there's a story that you've probably heard of asma bint marwan or some people spell it as asthma with an iron sod

1:21:36

some people spell it as asma with alif sin but either way they spell it both ways but uh asmr been to marwan al-mushrika that she used to insult the prophet and the prophet uh commanded that she was killed this is a fabricated hadith fabricated hadith okay do not follow these these kind of are transmitted by people like kelby who everybody [Music] everybody rejects as a transmitter baihaki said that this ma this consensus

1:22:15

we don't accept the narrations of al kilby these are the kind of stories that these people have circulated they these are false narrations the there was no incident of this asma bint marwan this does not exist and there's another famous story that goes around the the hadith that um it comes often in the tafsir under the verse

1:22:47

that by by allah they will not believe until they do not accept you as an arbitrator amongst them uh in their disputes there's a story that apparently allegedly two people had an issue so they went to the prophet and the prophet settled it and then they said well oh uh let me go to uh let's go ruden so they went to abu bakr and then they weren't happy and they said uh let's go to umar let's go to umar now they went to umar and omar

1:23:24

radha allahu and said what's going on and they said we went to the prophet and he said is that soul he said yeah he said okay why do you just sit here until i come and he went in got his sword came out and killed them and then the prophet this reached the prophet and the prophet said uh i can't believe omar would do something like that and then the verse of the quran came down to support um this is a lie people this is a lie there is no sahih hadith like this at all this story even ibn kathir brings this and he highlights that this is mursal

1:24:03

and it is it is life and then he tries to bring he says yeah there's another by the way there's another uh rewire from mujahid which is once again mursal it is not a connected santa it is not something sahih it is not a hadith that is acceptable so i'm clarifying that there are no sahih hadith but these stories we've allowed them to become so common that they have now come back and stung us and because these stories we've been

1:24:42

hearing them since we're children people have been saying yeah but omar did this radhiallahu and out of the love for the messenger of allah and you see they use emotions like love manipulatively they use them they use them wrongly to say well oh this is for the love of the prophet no it isn't no it isn't for the love of the prophet the prophet never ever preached bloodshed the quran says that if you kill one person it is as though

1:25:21

you have killed the entire humanity that you have wiped out humanity that's how grave it is according to god this is how grave of a crime the enormity of this crime in a hadith the prophet said that i will always have hope for you in the afterlife so long as you do not commit murder that the actual hadith says so long as you do not have blood on your hands that's the actual hadith today these people

1:25:59

have become so bloodthirsty these you get these people saying oh there's this kind of this whole mission hang asea what kind of an impression of islam is this let's they are not right they are not right let's just say for a moment if they were right let's say which they're not but i just want to bring us to a point there was in the time of the prophet there were two incidents that come to mind one where certain people had perpetrated

1:26:39

certain crimes and they ought to have been taken to task and the prophet said that people and he said to aisha's wife that look people are so new to islam what will people say he they that what will they say and in another narration he says that if the people will end up saying that look muhammad kills his own companions like is that what you want this message

1:27:17

to end up us because this is what people will say that look and and on the other issue that when it was to do with something virtuous like redesigning the ka'ba the way it originally was that wasn't going to cause harm but the prophet said you know this is going to cause such an impact that look let it be so based on this these people even if they firmly believe themselves to be true which they are not there isn't there is no truth to what they're saying but

1:27:54

even then right the the damage that this has done to islam people are leaving islam in the hundreds and thousands throughout the globe i can tell you seriously people are leaving islam because they're becoming so disheartened is this all that there is about islam is this all that is left just people so blood bloodthirsty now what's so disappointing is they they seem

1:28:34

to be kind of vindicating themselves by saying oh this is out of honor for the prophet and and we are all united on this so you will get the brillias the dior bandis the uh hadith and you know the irony this you know it's it makes me laugh i watched a um i watched i mean i saw several interviews and clips and listened to things online uh there's a mufti tariq masood there was a muftitaki there was other people what's so funny is that muftitaki who is

1:29:14

a respectable figure and i respect him in general he was highlighting that okay there shouldn't be any vigilante killings but when montas kadri and this was uploaded only yesterday on youtube he said but when mumtaz khadri killed the governor of pakistan for questioning the blasphemy laws he killed him because of his love for the prophet and therefore there can't really be any retaliation because his intentions were good wow honestly i was just so

1:29:53

wowed by what he just said even worse was this mufti tariq masood or i might be mixing up his surname he said and i did share it on facebook that if you see somebody who is blasphemous to the prophet you don't even need to report them he said i'm taking it upon myself you just killed them there and then and he said that and that there is no blame on you like that you are ordained islamically to just kill them

1:30:32

wow let me just rein in a reality check here people the ubuntis themselves are deemed bloody gustar they themselves are deemed blasphemous they themselves are accused of blasphemy the dio ban dia kabir like mawlana ashraf the stuff he said about the prophet sallallahu alaihi about having knowledge like an animal or what difference is his knowledge and that of an animal or what they or of a madman or things like this what that that's not blasphemous and what do the brilliant say in

1:31:12

pakistan they say that the biggest gustars are these people so they say that these people are kafir the ubuntu cafe or jonah and whosoever doesn't accept he too is a kafir this is what they say and what do the so if some in that case this mufti tariq if somebody just kills him for being blasphemous because he supports the deer bundya kaabir

1:31:51

or somebody just kills his family and and by the way the hadith consider the brilliance to be apostates because of the shirk they do the grave worshipping and asking other people so they consider them to be mushriks and murtad right as one of the senior al hadid scholars are there was a post on facebook by sheikh uh kashif uh speaking about how when he spoke to a senior al-hadid scholar and he and he names him in pakistan who who said yes we believe

1:32:30

that brailwys are apostates and then he was asked why don't you openly say this he said because they outnumber us so well wait a minute so then they're mushrik so they can kill them and and all of these consider wahhabis to be cafes anyway because they say the wahhabis believe in a god that lives in a space and stuff like this and and the wahhabis are cafe so they're just all kafirs everybody it's just royal rumble just kill anybody what kind of nonsense is this in the name of god that oh

1:33:08

he's a cafe he's like they all bloody cat they all bloody gusta to each other they all this is just so stupid so stupid i i can't believe that you know it's it's that's too it's that stupid that you you think that this you know you couldn't make this stuff up you could think that no way this couldn't like you've got the ubuntu's going on about yeah we should kill the gustar

1:33:38

ain't the dearborn these the gustars themselves like i don't i don't get and you've got brilliance going on about like and and i think this is just some stupid kind of competition rivalry to show oh we too honor the prophet more than you we will call for the death of so and so as well and i think oh it's what and you see the problem is amongst all of these this has really stretched the divide between the regular muslims

1:34:18

like the regular non-movies the the masses in countries like pakistan the middle classes the upper class even but the regular middle classes the regular kind of people it's created such a divide between them and the religious kind and this divide is just getting growing farther and farther apart and the hatred that is becoming entrenched in the hearts of the of unfortunately muslims towards the clergy and towards then by extension

1:34:58

islam is so detrimental and and it's almost losing my voice here it's so sad to really see that honestly i i had to really speak about this [Music] god it's not really a uh a laughing uh mata but it's just so disappointing that these people what they've done

1:35:34

to the dean seriously they no longer represent and there are some very good movies out there there are some very sincere people i accept that but all of these that are going online that are social media this is seriously it is nothing but drama and these people what's worse is what they the damage this is causing islam and muslims and how it's distancing uh just the international community including muslims from islam it is truly

1:36:14

in my understanding of betrayal to allah and his messenger and this theme okay so that's um that's my uh my two cents on that i i had been asked as well ah let's let's just leave it at that i guess so whoa so people i tell you what shall we take a few rapid round questions right oh before i forget some people had said

1:36:54

because there are people surprisingly that uh that some of my clips reach in pakistan and india and some of them don't understand english so i had been asked to say just a few words on this in inurdu or hindi for those people although english is the lingua franca people it is the language of the world and it's obviously our language but it is uh the language to communicate and express ideas in especially on a global perspective and more

1:37:32

most importantly it is to my audience uh who i generally speak to that said shalom inshallah so [Music] [Music]

1:38:37

[Music] is [Music]

1:40:02

[Music] [Music] is

1:40:45

[Music] [Music]

1:41:38

[Music] foreign i

1:42:22

mean that's just because i know this issue had reached so many people obviously it's an issue of pakistan and and by extension has gone throughout the world so so there are so many people who had asked um that they couldn't properly understand english nevertheless let's take a few questions as a rapid round and then we'll wrap this up folks let's get

1:42:54

ah there are they're asked somebody said probably no pakis watch there are believe me what do you think of ahmad razakhan i mean i've answered this previously he was a scholar of the indian subcontinent and the father of the brave movement i mean he was a scholar in his own right but he wasn't the way today some brilliance hold him as as the the

i don't know the embodiment of absolute pristine knowledge is not the case i mean i'm sure you know he was a scholar unquestionably but he by no means uh outshone uh you know he didn't outperform or eclipse uh the light of those who went before him at all and in fact you know there's many things it's shocking i was uh i think a few weeks ago i saw a clip on youtube where they were speaking about ahmad raza khan bravi uh who has a whole book speaking on the geocentric world uh the

1:44:10

the kind of uh geocentric model and that the earth that the sun kind of rotates around the earth and he's written a whole book trying to prove it from the quran which fair enough in his day and age because remember these people from over a century ago now what's shocking is the scholar presenting it is still defending that position today because

1:44:42

said which is ridiculous i mean may have look he was a scholar but he in no way is an authority on science i mean that's just absurd i mean just even trying to i mean just saying that out aloud is just so ridiculous [Laughter] so this is my point that look he himself was excused because obviously if you lived in the 1800s then you know fine i mean you may have believed in a geocentric model and you

1:45:22

may have done these things even though even back then most of the world probably didn't but still but to believe that in 2018 [Laughter] right nevertheless right right it's not an emergency contraception islamic perspective on emergency contraception morning after pill

1:45:51

yeah just oh the guy takes it the next day in the morning after the guy goes look i've had the pill [Laughter] right so i believe that it's permissible contraception is permissible hence the morning after pill is just a matter of contraception as well so even if the guy is having it for breakfast [Laughter] he's like just to be on the safe side i'll i'll just i'll i know i'll just give it to the neighbor as well and

1:46:30

[Laughter] but yeah you can the pills they're fine uh you can use them you can regulate these things they are not haram contrary uh contrary to what the catholic church says oh sorry and some other movies as well

1:47:00

how do we fix which went on such a witch hunt against sheikh noman ali khan oh i think that's all over now your view on euthanasia um euthanasia i've said this before i believe that euthanasia ought to be allowed by the state as in the uk i believe that i can't understand how secular states haven't allowed it that's my understanding and i also feel that there ought to be

1:47:39

a discussion within islam a dialogue on the topic of euthanasia currently the the involuntary kind of uh euthanasia islamically and within these countries is fine that's when by that i mean when the doctors switch off um the life support machine and things like this but you haven't done that yourself so it's involuntary but and that islamically is unquestionably fine as well switching off life support machines i don't just mean switching them off to to put your phone on charge

1:48:18

they come in and you're like everybody comes rushing in b there's alarms and everything and you're like oh whoa you're like for god's sake it was on 92 percent i mean i needed to charge it [Laughter] and she pulled out the sake of his life support machine so well but i feel that in islam we ought to have a discussion uh on there ought to be a dialogue on euthanasia i feel that they wrought to really and i i do think that it's

1:48:58

uh i think it's unfair that people they you see i understand and i've said this before i understand that religion had to have a zero um possibility approach to suicide that's because it it was the final frontier so there's so many people today that don't commit suicide because religion and so religion has to serve as that final frontier it has a duty so it will do that and it has done that and i understand that i don't believe that really it was about punishment and i don't believe really

1:49:38

there is that kind of punishment about suicide but that it's it has to be the final frontier that it cannot let people give up on hope because hope is ultimately all we have and islam has to stand firm with hope so it was never really about the punishment but i think that rhetoric was just the as religious rhetoric so people don't uh try to kind of cross that boundary um but generally in this discussion

1:50:16

you even in a secular perspective you hear a lot of people saying things like look oh that is that this person is selfish and he's um but really it's it's such you know from a philosophical discussion it's so intriguing because you see people that do these things they do them because they're obviously struggling they're going through a certain amount of pain um now it's they're not doing it for fun you know it's not like hey what shall i do i know i'll just jump off the building and

1:50:58

i'm i know how to kill time and me i'll just jump off the bill that's like that doesn't happen so the reason that they do this uh is because they're obviously going through an immense amount of pain so you see and it's kind of a bit selfish in a way from a philosophical perspective it's selfish that the other people around them really don't want to s like you see they don't want that person to do it but then

1:51:37

they are not going to live that person's life either so it's it's quite ironic in many ways that um it's quite ironic so i think it is a very deep and very kind of moby conversation but i feel that it's it's it's one that needs to take place within the islamic science islamic platform as well but before that i think even countries like secular countries like the uk need to i do agree with those people that say that these things

1:52:15

uh should not be proscribed and illegal that's my understanding right so thoughts on uh it's far from a morbid yeah i mean you know you know what i mean though but i just feel that it's people wrongly judge those people that's what i feel i feel that people you know you hear of somebody that might have committed suicide and people judge them and i just feel that that's wrong um because i feel ultimately even it is

1:52:52

it's it's sad for the people that have lost them but ultimately other people will not live their lives so it's it's like you want them to carry on in their pain just because you don't want them to be gone but then they're still living in pain so yeah yep the legendary dawn poem of ghalib kaaba kismus

1:53:28

well said well said now people let's call it let's wrap that up right so uh any last if there's any last shall i say dying question [Laughter] any last burning question people yeah and if there's anything if not let's wrap this up they probably say they feel yep true true that is true that is true i get all of that there is that kind of guilt but i was just saying that you know it's

1:54:05

why does allah say jews and christians are the closest to muslims i think that's to create kind of bridges between muslims and the christian communities uh in order especially because in the time of early islam christianity was an empire and it was in the hope to build bridges whereby they islam would find an ally and also potentially bring people closer to islam that may hopefully

1:54:44

embrace the message of islam all right was imam abu hanifa against the death penalty yes he was in general i mean not always not always but uh but he was more so than other people you can't remember this is like we're talking you know like 1300 years ago how come you don't make that awesome dog i'll make the awesome of course i'll make the awesome is there grammatical error in the quran shouldn't tribes be singular i don't know what verse that is um

1:55:24

what's that verse seven sort of seven verse ah right one moment one moment 16. let's see oh am i looking at the wrong one right there are you are you talking about right let me see sorry just got me intrigued now what is what is he speaking about

1:56:12

right okay oh about moses is that the one we're speaking about [Music] um i'm not sure what part is it that you

1:56:51

feel is is grammatically incorrect he said tribe so i take it he's speaking about the word is that what we're speaking about calm is singular here though

1:57:19

now i think he's talking about the word plural word um i think so anyway that's not a grammatical error because they were plural now when allah says look if you listen so these people that they were [Music] set into 12 uh portions 12 tribes now you got to remember these were not these were the israelites all of them and thousands of them that they were because aspartame 12 they were originally the 12

1:57:59

tribes of israel that's who they were and of the offsprings or of the groups and um as nations because the 12 tribes of israel were each tribe went off as a kind of nation in itself i mean they all make up the whole kingdom of judea and things like this later on as they do get to the kingdom and establish the kingdom so i can't really see here anything that you would see as grammatically problematic allah yep all right people i think with that we'll

1:58:37

wrap it up so i can't really see what you meant uh because i that so nevertheless anyway so i mean it's always fun to uh enhance your grammatical knowledge of the arabic language [Laughter] and things like plurals and stuff like this in arabic and verbs and how they're used there is some fluidity with this kind of stuff just to say okay so sometimes in case people get confused you can in the arabic language use certain pronouns with certain things like you can say that as a

1:59:17

feminine you can refer to a group as though using a so you could say things like like tilka russo tilka tilka russel tilka zumrator russel like that so this a lot of this in the arabic language so to somebody who doesn't know arabic that well they could think oh my god that is that a mistake but it's not this is how the arabic language is spoken and especially was spoken in classical times right people with that inshallah let's wrap things up as always you've been awesome inshallah take very good care of yourselves

1:59:56

stay blessed people stay blessed stay laughing stay smiling and remember that above all this deen is about humanity okay and that is the key message i was reminded subhanallah that allah is above and transcendent to that which they ascribe to him

2:00:22

and the best of blessings and salutations upon the messenger who said al madina to that indeed medina is better for you if only you knew right people salam foreign
