I'm not sure which Hadith that is about long nails. But generally, I know that look, Muslims the Muslim culture generally does not like long nails and the the general description is one of hygiene. It's because um you see obviously, you have to understand that having longer nails exposes an individual to greater unhygienic circumstances.
That's just a given, you know, that's as they say in Arabic, tahsil al-hasil, you know, it's just a it's a given people, you know, you can't argue with it. Um the question is if you can maintain your hygiene, I don't think it's an issue. I think this issue was simply a hygienic ruling that the prophet gave. Um where he generally spoke about hygiene because you have to remember as well, hot environments where people are sweaty, where there's a a scarcity of water, where things like this.
And there isn't Remember, nails weren't I mean, I don't they definitely weren't in the Arab culture a uh uh a symbol of fashion. So although today they are, I mean, they're a huge industry. But and I think you know, people with fake or I don't know, acrylic nails or different kind of fake nails that they wear.
I don't think it's haram or anything like this to wear that. Um and the rulings of Islam are still relevant from a hygiene perspective. And that's what they always were.
