okay whoa I'm just going to bring up today's file I'll just wait for some of us to come on and just see a quick audio check alhamdulillah was become
people welcome welcome all right another session tonight with of meaning with malm you just see who is with us whilst I'm doing that I'm just going to bring up as well tonight's um [Music] Bismillah
right let me just or I'll say we've got that uh-huh here it is Bismillah oh I want to take a look tonight at uh path and purpose you must protect Allah Allah and some quranic guidance on that but also
this tying into this you know we have this um people can at times become too self-negative they just become so self-critical and I want to address some of that but let's see firstly who do we have with us tonight already so below it Allah Allah right let me just bring up I've got these comments here as well
I hope things in Florida ain't too bad um we make Dua that may Allah keep people everywhere wherever they are facing any calamity may Allah keep them safe and steadfast you know this this there's just so much going on around the world in terms of um disasters and calamities you had the catastrophic flooding in Pakistan you had a um a tsunami
warning and an earthquake I believe of seven point something on Richter Scale in Mexico um now these hurricanes in Florida there was some more hurricanes down I think was it um in Puerto Rico or around there and just today I was reading about some floodings in that's it Nigeria where they where they were saying up to 500 000 people half a million May potentially either be killed or
seriously displaced so may Allah honestly um it's scary even just thinking about these things yes so right who do we have honey is
our very own from Birmingham who is heavily involved in humanitarian and charity work may Allah bless you and his Allah bless your projects and your efforts and um it really you know tying in with today's the theme of path and purpose it is so important that we understand that that it doesn't matter you see people and one of the verses we're going to take a look at today also explains it
ties into because people think some oh maybe a purpose must be up there or maybe sometimes people think we're not you know who am I that's going to do anything worthy to make some change foreign sometimes a person you may think ah you know people may they rise from Darkness and they bring such light with them so may Allah accept
from you man I mean um who do we have radical love about it radical love I like it ah I'm still good good to see you Mr nothing nothing um Emmy all right need to be a community of Social Service so true man so true um all right Mirza sahib all right
Sheikh bicep biceps yeah these biceps these don't count we've got to kind of get more into the gym yeah I have been to be fair now for the last what is it maybe two weeks I've been getting back into it now so alhamdulillah there was um I mean to be fair it's not that I'd quit it but sometimes because I changed my entire routine um it's just fit just adjusting yeah but
this is the the amazing thing about insan in Sun can adjust to almost anything all right Welsh Muslim Dave assalamu alaikum from your favorite much love shukran fall uh for joining us I'll share the link shortly once I do the quranic verse and then you can jump on and have share your thoughts and have a bit of a chat
foreign look at the poetic rhythmir salaam from Kashmir agar jannat baru is the meanest aainas if Jannah is on par if Paradise is on Earth then here it is oh
hi due to Interfaith dialogues with Christians why not why not of course shukran um sorry the shukran was to another comment I was just seeing there saying cool suit yeah I don't you see I think people of faith there isn't I don't I mean when we say Interfaith dialogue I don't know what's needed because we're all see faith is a collective community and we as in the Hadith of the Prophet
sallallahu alaihi wasallam which was the Covenant of Medina that he said that we the Jews the Christians and the people of faith we are but one great nation so and that stemming from Ibrahim the abrahamic ummah as a collective so when people say Interfaith dialogues I don't know what they mean by that because there was a time where people were debating and all of this between and I don't see the point of that angle between people of
Faith so um yeah so of course I meaningful dialogue I see of course we must be having these but really more so in our day and age the dialogue is with people who are struggling with or against faith so the people of Faith have dialogue with them because that is where it's most needed
a ride we're in old age and Beyond it Allah ice ice those who don't know Isla you know the famous stories of Layla
just means mental but because they had gone insane in the love of Layla but his real name was case um shukran Ali Chi for the super sticker much love um still recommend you to change your background why not with time inshallah with time um I love his background see shukran see that's because it's you know there's a poem we Imam
he says that see the it depends on the perspective the eye of the beholder that the eye that glances from love or from beaming this positivity it can't you see its wavelength is above anything that it sees that can be even see seen as uh a blemish or anything he can't even pick that up on its radar it says yeah
but the eye of the critical eye that brings forth every that picks up all kinds of Beats on the radar so so people let's take a look uh and then what we'll do is share path and purpose one must protect you know it's all about embracing embracing who we are and where we are on this journey and I thought that this is something
it's so popular this this quote by mawlana rum that yesterday I was clever so I wanted to change my I wanted to change the world today I am wise I'm changing myself huh as he is this is you see the thing we are so Keen to and we're all guilty of this don't don't you know don't think I'm saying this to you or to targeting this I I can see it in myself especially in the past
I could see that you don't want a child so you know when I first finished my Mufti thing so I was in my mid-20s yeah so now now I'm almost mid-40s yeah I'm 43 now so I must have finished it around 25. so you know those years I'd come back to come back here in the years that followed so when you and your mid late 20s now time this this I remember
wanting you know there's this eagerness you wanna not only change the world but it's it's that you feel that you want to correct people like you want maybe you're not doing it from um maybe I don't think it necessarily has to be from an angle of you're looking down on them it's not like that but you are you're eager to achar so what problem have you got
[Laughter] you want to offer solutions to the world [Laughter] ah it's absurd honestly and then you you you do this and you do this and really it's it's embarrassing in hindsight when I think of it now I'm so embarrassed of myself because and then what happens with time you realize that yeah I need to focus on Within that's what I need to focus on on me
don't worry about other people focus on you know just ah yeah so that's yesterday I was clever so I wanted to change the world today I am wise so I'm changing myself always a relevant quote that is always and I want to bring to our attention that each and every one of us has a purpose
each and every one of us but it's you see our purpose it may take a lifetime trying to figure it out and in the end it may have been something totally different to what we think but that's it and we can't measure our purpose sometimes by looking by trying to gauge it against others there's a quote by Einstein that that if you know if that if we were to test a fish or an
elephant by its ability to climb a tree you know by this logic we deem the the entire world to be stupid and incapable but that's not true you see each to their own and and it doesn't some and sometimes we might be on a path we you know we think this path is going in this direction but when we get to that point it shifts to this path you see we are only perhaps maybe we're in chapter
three of our Lives maybe chapter five of Our Lives but we don't know how this is going to tie into chapter nine and then chapter 12. [Laughter] yeah you know I'll be talking that this is this is yet there's so many twists and turns to come in life wonderful twists and turns don't look at it negatively and this that on the path of love we are neither Masters nor the owners of Our Lives
we are only a brush in the hand of the master painter you see the brush sometimes the brush the brush doesn't even have a clue what it's doing [Laughter] so to some extent we are all winging it and that's okay so long as we keep at it keep at it one step at a time there's a beautiful Hadith that the and it is in bukhari this one as well that the prophet was asked
see this is it you see the prophet was asked that what is the bit like what should I do what's the best act tell me what's the best you know the most beloved the most fruitful action guide me what what should I get onto and grip and the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said that you're asking about the most beloved action to God it is
that it is that act or that action which has consistency albeit just small in quantity even if it's a little so consistent that's now think about it the prophet could have said oh this is the greatest action that's the greatest actions
that just you know you do you [Laughter] don't measure yourself against him or her or them but be at it sometimes it might look like a mess that pink brush that is scattering in these colors if you zoom in it's just a mess this ink there's a there's this pain that's it's the splashes this yeah you you zoom right in this little skirmishes
there's it's just some it's just a colossal mishmash it's nothing it's like yeah what the hell is this you zoom out it's a masterpiece you see the whole picture a giant fresco but this is it you see we are zoomed in and that's okay but we have to keep at it that there is there is
a design to this but we have to the purpose whatever we think it is will hold tight maybe along the way it will change you know people they when people are doing phds often they will start off with one research question hypothesis by the time they've reached the end of their studies the whole entire question has changed
you know this is this is something we yeah it's on the path of love we are neither Masters nor the owners of Our Lives we are only a brush in the hand of the master painter it's just to keep these things in mind and sometimes we might think this is why I'm I think this is so such a an amazing and beautiful example because when you're zoomed in that paint is a mess and in life sometimes we're going through struggles not sometimes mostly there is always when you zoom into life
there's just headaches you know if somebody zooms into your luck like daily life ah yeah I've got to do this I've gotta oh I've got to be there for this oh I've got to get this done oh my god oh oh this is hurting oh I'm not feeling well I've got a cold I've got a flu Oh this person's ill oh children are ill oh they need to get here oh my God this payment oh my God you know more financial issues oh my God the world this is happening in the world it's just all of this if you zoom in there will
always be problems they will always you know one thing we can be certain of is there will be problems [Laughter] only in Sun has this kudra that Allah has given humans to smile dare I say laugh in the face of problems [Laughter] we think well you've got the problems anyway
so cello why don't you might as well laugh about it since the problems this I tell you that look the level of consciousness that creates a problem that this level that this kind of how we are seeing something so problems that arise at a level of Consciousness that we see them
that Consciousness that level of consciousness can never solve those problems during if you grasp what I'm saying that the level of Consciousness that creates problems and I say creates because it's not that it but it comes to grasp them and struggle with them will never give the solution to those problems that if we change our perspective on the way we look at things
the things we look at change remember that all of a sudden that if we raise our level of consciousness all of a sudden it's like well hmm there's always a way for things but we just have to we just have to allow ourselves to rise
so keeping in mind at all times that the path and why I say path is because you must keep walking keep walking a poem we've shared many times [Laughter] I believe isli I believe that the heart is not that it hasn't given up
it's just unsuccessful in what it's doing that the spirit here the heart can also refer to the spirit it's just unsuccessful it's not um it's not full of despair it's just met failure that's all that the evening of melancholy may be long
but after all it's just an evening tomorrow the sun will rise again so keeping these things in mind yeah there's actually a there's a poem I did see I did think to myself I'll bring it up before I do let me take a look right so okay there's uh
moody she couldn't much love for the super chat um foreign right okay I'm going to come to that okay I'll just come to your question which is on punishment in Islam so let me just share this poem and then and then we'll come to that Allah was this it no no it wasn't it
Allah this is by someone known as Hakeem Nasir he was a poet I believe born just maybe just into the the ending of the British Raj and then he passes this away um in in the 2000s I think 2007 or something
but there's some lines from this poem that are absolute Classics and everybody knows them and they hear them everywhere so foreign crazy but crazy in love
since you've turned me crazy in love and this could be understood however you want to understand foreign everybody seems to be carrying a stone in their hands now what does that mean now this is playing on the trope of Layla so much noon what people the story often has it that people would call him insane so as he would be Meandering through the streets
mesmerized and in his own world be sorted by the love of Leila that and he'd just be saying Layla Layla so people would sometimes throw stones at him that oh you know his mental crazy guy crazy you know mental nutcase so um foreign
foreign [Laughter] must have truly suffered during their journey of love which person that person that gave not that gave love the title of punishment
that renamed love the person that went into settings and remained and you see that this these themes are about love but they but love here is being used as a portal to mean life and everything that it entails and it could be speaking from the the the the day-to-day of life right up to from the infinitesimal right up to the infinite of transcendental Divine love and everything in between
that is something wow he says he's addressing stones foreign and this is speaking to people metaphorically symbolically to calamities to to all kinds of things and even just the Trope in and of itself the The Motif that stones that why are you showering down
on me today people are throwing stones at me hahaha it's the hardships in life but you zoom back into what he's saying Stones why do you shower down on me today like on my head like you but there was a time when I had made you my own deity that I had worshiped you sees that man has
for so long been lost in the worship of idols that and yet these very things have turned against inside you see the Trope that and this could be symbolic for for life it could be for effort somebody could spend an entire lifetime nurturing a project a business friends family you name it they could be people that then they or it turns around and becomes poisoned for them for the very person
that has been feeding it its entire life this could happen see and here Illustrated in this motif that is now why do you shower down on me today there was a time that I worshiped [Laughter] such is life or such is this Dunya if you think about you and you have nothing but to smile and laugh in the face of this and
there's a famous poem actually I I believe it was said by um our teachers in in Madras I used to say that I think they used to say we used to say it or one of the the elders from the theoband tradition that
um foreign Ed with calamities it is my intuitive Habit to smile that I've not learned how to be crushed under the weight of problems and difficulties it's a beautiful poem that massage
foreign this is incredibly popular so you'll see this written and cited and quoted in many places that that you see that now I've become such a spectacle
for others I've become entertainment what has your love done to me yes this is honestly this is the line that I thought I gotta share this with you guys and the other one as well but this is the Arabic word plural of Yom means days but here it means like time that drink is the bitterness as in the vicissitudes of Faith the
difficulties of life that bija that smile laugh and drink away the bitter I guess symbolically metaphorically the drink as well you know that you that alcohol is also termed bitter on her there was a a cartoon you know you know you're having these Comics years ago about where this person's at this bar I I I
had a pub and the person and and the um the guy behind the counter says bitter and it and he replies nah just tired that pizza foreign that I wanted to share with you guys
that rum is melancholy and difficulties and problems that in facing and enduring difficulties and challenges and problems here is nature but it's symbolically speaking about God so when The Poets say that about kudra there is the divine Pena play
that there is that there is a pleasure divinely placed in enduring difficulties sir foreign [Laughter] that line honestly I love it
that's that's so popular but it's so popular everybody's heard of that um so let's um mm-hmm with the nice way of sleep are you naughty naughty that could be understood in in many ways which we shall not so
the joy of the Lord is my strength Allah the Lord is my shepherd I shall fear no more Allah uh clear sugar and much love is always Allah bless you uh keep you smiling for the Super Chat right Dr Aina Mufti please pray for me my name is inza may Allah Grant you ease in whatever you're going through
and replace your difficulties with joy I mean yeah you know sometimes we we should I try to remind myself and and people that try to at times when you to say a dollar for someone because it's interesting that it say a nice one we you pray for them to be happy and just blessed because it's weird because it it's like it gives a little shock to the
ego foreign why am I praying for that person but this is it you see this is that you know feeling your own pain and your own difficulty animals can do that creatures can do that you know there's anything that that has some sentience to it can can feel its own pain and struggle you know an ant can
can feel if you're trying to if some things trying to crush it it can feel that it's not but ah feeling it for others compassion that's something else that's inside so yeah let's go to some there were some questions as a super chat that uh verily said an arm there is pleasure in enduring Melancholy yeah you see the thing is nowadays I don't feel that
there's a a word that aptly in the current um you know in in the current discourse that aptly translates rum I don't know what do you guys think because Melancholy nowadays people don't use melancholy so and you could say well difficulties or depression depressive I don't I don't I I don't know um sorrows
hmm I don't know what I wonder what would be a good uh a right translation for it so did I cover this already I love you G I love you too yeah um right okay let's take a look at some this um let's take a look at this question and then we'll go to um
we'll go to um the the brief lesson so I shall not yep that's the Lord is my shepherd I shall not want he makes me lie down in Green Pastures Allah this is
that's it that's it um Lucy Wayne James I have Uncle zoned I have Uncle zoned Uncle oh I thought you're saying about you have an uncle who's zoned out several times or something I was you have Uncle zoned several males who physically look like my relatives I took my uncle zoning too far at that has to be quite a struggle in life I must say their friend zone be a deep Jesus
this is it's an ajib psychosocial realm and dimension of mankind shall we say foreign yeah [Laughter] Zozo Zara who's now she just turned eight uh a month and a half two months ago yeah so but when she was she must have been about six six to seven something like that so in in at that time she
[Laughter] she was once speaking about her class so she's talking to me at home and she's saying um her and her best friend Sarah Zara and Sarah and then she's speaking about some I've forgotten some guy in the class and she says uh uh so so I said ah right I said oh is she your friend is so we're talking and I said oh is he your friend uh is and she said uh yeah we've friendzoned him and so I said I said what
she goes yeah we friends owned him there's no escaping the friend zone [Laughter] God I found that so hilarious I don't even know what she thought that that meant at the time but it was just so funny she goes I we friendzoned him and I I was like huh what and she said yeah there's no escaping the friend zone I was like well that is a deeper truth
to reality yeah so let's go to let's go to the question on there was a super chat by Zena Clinton for you Super Chat may Allah bless you why implementing the punishments in the Quran are wrong early Muslims could have imprisoned thieves like we do what did chopping a hand achieve that a prison sentence couldn't sure this is a incredibly
uh profound question right now there are different ways that the scholars of Islam have looked at this question so you do get several Scholars that will feel that the punishment in the Quran of of let's say was chopping the hands of the thief they will say that this everybody accepts that this punishment came so
okay let's let's start off with giving a brief backdrop this this punishment already existed in Arabia it wasn't something that Islam invented or it somehow you know through ingenuity arrived with the Arabs were already doing this and the Middle East that the practices that you had the assassinated and right through people were already especially in the wild parts of Arabia whether it was going to be in the Middle East or down in the peninsula
people were not only chopping hands they would chop off the entire limbs and they will chop off all the limbs they would just leave somebody without um you know let's say without forearms and without feet and without they would just and on certain occasions and this is not as in infrequently quite rather frequently they would just kill someone as well so they would torture them and kill them if they caught them stealing something of these now Islam curbed
their punishments and like I said it didn't it didn't invent this this already existed in the time so Islam said okay you're not allowed to kill them you're not allowed to do this this okay you can cut the hand of the thief so with this verse of the Quran several things were being several things were being brought to the Forefront and taught by this Ayah of the Quran so first of all it was endorsing that that
was that this is that the the the thief be they male or female cut their hand this as a consequence of their actions that that is then the punishment as being explained uh in the Quran okay always beings then set out or delineated delineated by Allah now so let's take it so this verse came
and it teaches many things now first of all it teaches that people have a right to property to assets that you cannot that a person what they rightfully own is this secondly it then teaches that that to take that and just to take that without consent it's considered theft that there is something known as theft it is endorsing them okay
it is bringing to the attention of the thief it is addressing them you see with this in in Arabic you this is the pattern for the Doer showing that your actions characterize you or not the one who takes who has taken something no you are now being called by the bad actions that you have done Society will judge
you by the actions that you have done they will call you by that was the person who is what does it mean in Arabic it means the man or the female who is stealing but are they stealing right now no they're not they stole in the past but Society will not forgive you
fourthly it taught that this will be found in all people in all genders mentioning both the male and the female beginning with the mail because these actions often it is reflecting the the Instinct of greed that is sometimes found more um exaggeratively amongst men this this kind of ah this Lust For more and more
and more beginning was but saying look both this this bringing this lesson that okay cut the hands but no you can't kill them you can't chop off all their limbs you can't okay just do this curbing
lesson number six Islam is using your system that you already have and parameterizing it meaning that the your Solutions to your problems will often come from within you la see will come from within you
that there will be consequences to your actions this is a consequence of your wrongdoing this verse came it's reminding you as an eighth point that there are consequences to what you do you never fully evade them even if you get away for now they Loom after you they hang over you
Nikola mean Allah Allah it's a reminder that you know what the these actions this immorality that God too does not like it for you you are not just falling from the eyes of society but you have fallen from the eyes of God all of these things nine points tenth point it is defining how this punishment
is to be operationalized as in the hand the Yad is something up to here it could be cut and so on now this verse everybody accepts that everybody accepts all these things I've said this is how Muslims have understood this that these all of these 10 points are there in the verse of the Quran
however centuries later as Society changes as the the the the the social consequences the social punishments the collective consciousness of people changes the the kind of um the the embargoes the kind that how people see Crime and Punishment especially punishment changes does
this what's this verse is it still exactly the way it is is it operationalized the same way do people still chop the hand let's say hundreds of years later when Society has has a different way of looking at things so here the ulama disagree they all agree on let's say this had I've cited 10 now somebody could bring out more than 10 points in this verse they all agree on the nine you've got all of all the nine they all
agree on okay so let's put Wonder all of those things that this verse came in affirmed property highlighted consequences it mentioned remedies come from your salute Solutions come to remedy your problems from you it shows highlights that morality highlights consequences it highlights that punishment is something that exists in Islam it highlights that Allah does endorse that there should be punishments it highlights all of this but the final the tenth point that the method of delivery for that punishment which in this case is it chopping the
hand or has that method of delivery would that change with the day and age so here on this point the ulama disagree thanks they all agree on the other point so at least let's say these nine points are all affirmed all agree upon some of the so you'll find several ulama that will say no even the tenth but the the delivery of that punishment is just yes it mentions chopping the hand but it's restricted to chopping the hand that's not just an example of the
punishment that is what it is restricted to so it is especially from the malachia and some from the hanabila so they looked at things differently some of the humblies had an understanding that atoba
that a person just doing Toba no punishment can apply to them at all that was an understanding of some of the ulama within the hanabila the malikia who were the pioneers of this understanding of makasid that the objectives of the Sharia should always be put first that should be the lens and the filter through which you view The View you view the Sharia so the uh the malikia and I'm obviously the leading people that spoke on this
there's there's several malikes but especially Imam shatabi amongst others uh with his book and then you've got lit you know Latter Day people like amongst others as well you know the people who've written on makasi now in a similar time to ashata B in North charities in Spain but in northwest Africa you have one of the greatest Scholars of the malikia known as he so this is around the 700s
he in his fatawa highlights that in his day and age that looked at the time the collective Consciousness has changed so yes chopping the hand is mentioned but this is an instant instantiation this is instantiating it is giving an example of the punishment but because in he he said this is not today this is 700 years ago so it's not influenced by Europe or anything 700 years ago he's writing that because people have changed so in our day and age the punishment just the delivery of
that will there be a punishment yes is there property yes are there consequences yes does society characterize you yes does Allah endorse that there should be punishments and consequence yes are you responding all of this verse is still up still meaningful to its maximum potential chopping the hand was that mentioned in the Quran yes can we use a different method of delivery this is where they disagreed so they said he said yes
that this was an example that was used in that day and age in our age it would be different so in his age they had um Financial penalties for Thieves for stealing and amongst him I have a detailed video on trajectory hermeneutics uh I have a few actually if you type in burzuli I I'm reading through the whole things and I give you the page references and everything it was done a few years ago from my Monday nights but it is there and you can find this whole discussion in um City wazani's he brings the whole
discussion several pages and all the olama that come after and those who agree with him and those who disagree with him and there were other Malaysia that disagreed with him and challenged him but there were many that agreed with him as well and and you can get the names of all the uh the ulama that were with him on board with him um yeah so so but he's one of the the the leading Pioneers that comes to mind and he was considered Islam in his Danish he was a huge huge scholar this and he's pre-maternity so it's not
and at a similar time in the East you had the ottoman caliph or Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent or Solomon the Magnificent and solimani and the reason he was called al-qarnoni is because he reformed the laws based on his inter understanding of Islam because he said that likewise he used or he leaned in on what appears to be a makassid approach as well so you have the Ottomans and you can still find in the ottoman archives today and people
have done research and phds on this that you can find their punishment system was also then the delivery was substituted so they had imprisonment and other methods so as a summary this verse everybody agrees that the verse today and for all times is active it's giving full of meaning and it's something they continue to believe in and apply they believe that the verse gives many different um gems of an understanding many
different points from affirming property and assets to condemning recognizing theft as a crime to recognizing immorality in society recognizing responsibility and legal liability to recognizing that there are consequences to recognizing that God endorses punishments as in the genre I have recognizing that people are liable and then subjected to these punishments and then recognizing that the delivery is done of these punishments and then this chopping the hand is the illustration of that in that
verse and they disagree that is this uh ruling restricted to this illustration or is it is that an instantiation it is instantiated an example of the the punishment in that verse and it can also expand and parameterize other examples as punishments in their day and age as in imprisonment finds and things like this so people especially the malikia of the so there were people who feel that no it can't it was restricted and that is many Allama if you ask them and
you'll find many people even today I mean you'll find many people today and in the past that held up for you and then you'll find some people that said no like all you cannot punish anyone if they've ever if they do Toba because Toba does he gets rid of all of her dude and they use the Hadith to show that and then you had people especially of the Maliki and the uh makassidy persuasion that felt that the Sharia always goes with objectives who nominally tend to be malikia but do have other people like some of the hanafis like the Ottomans and and other
people as well who felt that no that the delivery could could reflect other punishments of the day and age as well so this is the this is in a nutshell that the end um you know some Reflections on this verse of theft and chopping the hand so people sometimes you see this is the beauty that people they they don't grasp the the depth of scripture you know they they like they look at a
verse and this and there's a reading but sometimes a very very just Satay you know in Arabic superficial just level the layer reading of something you know the tip of the eye yeah you know the water on top but there's an ocean underneath [Laughter] so much in that verse if we just you know just allow our Consciousness to expand with it and just think wow okay so and it's a beautiful way to approach
the Quran I hope that's been of some help um and so and fornication should be punishable too then the same ruling applies to to all of these with trajectory hermeneutics it's the same thing so people it's the same this whole discussion that I've just said the same thing as in with different so the this discussion when these people discussed it they discussed
it from the scope of punishment and do they change do they change with the day and age or not so yeah so it's nested and anchored in the same discussion um I see saracen should Allah intervene on how humans run their society do you think he was speaking more specifically specifically to Arab Society um I'm not sure what intervene
means um you see just echoing once again what I said that the Sharia people you see I guess it's all perspective isn't it that you change your perspective on things and the things that you are looking at change
you know in in the Japanese culture they have a beautiful art known as kinsuki on it's a bit like you could see this this it's kind of mug that I've got here although here it's kind of artistically created but what they would do in which is part of a broader philosophy wabi-sabi of um of perfect imperfection or
um or finding formosity in faults there you go Allah alliteration so what they what they do is they will get a um you know like a mug or a pot or something and break it so it's made out of let's say amazing China or you know porcelain whatever it's made out of but something that
looks amazing but they will break it shatter it and then they will like you can see here but this is Illustrated on they will fix it together using gold um and so and it may be just be gold-plated but they will attach it back together and in the end it looks much better than it did when it began with all its faults you see so they shatter something and then weld it together using a kind of uh in a way that just really
screams fabulous art so yeah kintsugi Sharia is a kinsugi hypothesis okay it is kinsuki it is like the Kentucky principle applied within Islam what it is doing is it the Sharia are simply showed Muslims or
brought to them this the solutions to their problems from their social um remedies okay so it kind of remedied their problems but with their Solutions so Islam never if you read the Quran Islam does not introduce anything to the to the society as in it didn't introduce out of like if if somebody was to say all right we're going to have a okay
a new punishment say well what's this punishment okay this punishment will be that people will now enter into this Maze and such and such things will happen and and you come up with a whole scenario now nobody in that land has ever undergone this before so this is totally new just as for example people may I don't know if they know but in at that time definitely in Arabia prisons did not exist the concepts of Prisons emerge later during the time of um prior to that there were no prisons in Arabia
I don't I guess in maybe in other cultures that they that they may have been but in the Arabian culture there were no prisons so because it was a more of a Viking kind of culture that that kind of I use that as a metaphor just to approximate it was a very warring kind of raiding tribes just warlord kind of culture where they just raided they had made truths or they just killed they didn't really they were not prison systems so all of the the whether they're punishments or rulings they're not even
to do with just punishments but rulings in Islam that came to as practical steps to take all of them are from the society people were already doing them but maybe they were um maybe that you know they were transgressing in them so Islam um curtailed and curbed what they were doing and said okay don't do that just do this this part of it so okay so that's always a good way to look at it that the Sharia it operates by the kinsuki hypothesis
that what it gives back to them but then you see the question one could say well why even do that because you underestimate the power of scripture because when you're just doing it you're doing it foreign but when the book is saying it Allah mountains shall move there is a big difference between you and I saying something and then a book the book civilization
will be built on the back of that you and me no nobody would care about our opinions so you see we don't understand that but if you look at it psychologically it's it's overwhelming this is from the wisdom of why of Revelation but yeah
uh Kentucky literally gold repair shukran Rahim Allah bless you yep the kinsugi principle all right okay let's um let's um Scorpio hello hope you're well talking about Kentucky we are indeed right let's move on to uh some of the verses and then I'll share the uh link and we can if anybody wants to jump on more than welcome
foreign foreign people path and purpose this verse 115 in Surah Alpha symptoms but do you think
foreign that we created you uselessly just let's say Amen it's an amazing word I have to say you know from the Desi it's like oh I suppose you know why amen just you know Urdu it doesn't sound quite the yuhi it doesn't quite have the same boss but in I guess Punjabi as well just
do you think that just create just uselessly every single one of us has our own purpose sure look to some people and we shouldn't and don't and I don't mean this in a way to become uh somehow be sorted by trying to
find this huge purpose in life that I must invent something that will change Humanity sure that if you do more power to you that's wonderful but that's not just the purpose sure that's great in its own way but you know what else is great
alleviating the difficulty of others setting somebody else on us on their Journey as in aiding someone 's purpose in life could be to become the Nobel Prize you know winner for I mean not you know having received these Global prizes for some kind of physics breakthrough or chemistry breakthrough or something in new they've redefined
the world in the 21st century that's amazing or some kind of medical breakthrough and curing some incurable disease and that's wonderful and may Allah bless such efforts for these people for but somebody's thing in life may Simply Be I say simply we're you know delete that I don't mean it in in in a restrictive reductive sense but just as a focus that it may be
to be a doctor to be an engineer to be a teacher to be a parent to be a spouse to be a decent human being some you know there was a study that I I remember listening to it years ago where they were discussing happiness and how people especially at a later stage in life had found their happiness and and it was linked to meaning in life and they were there was this particular study summing up the experiences of certain
uh women um in particular in this case this lady from Bangladesh who is now quite old and but really like she scored quite high on this self-actualization scale and her purpose was was that because because they were discussing this qualitatively that well what what was it that had made her self-actualized she wasn't some
physicist or some medical genius or it was simply in her case it was that she was a wife that she was a mother that she had raised certain children that she was a believer who believed in God that it was that she was a member of this village where she had a role she checked in on people she spoke she wasn't some high chief of
the village she was just but she had her purpose see this is what I'm trying to say is that it's not sure aim high but remember we are all on our own Journey so what is right for us may not be the targets for someone else and their targets may not be Auto but we shouldn't let ourselves be beat down by that by thinking oh I haven't you know I'm not a huge CEO of something I failed now why have you failed
who said that oh I haven't got no purpose in life no you haven't been you have and you will return to your lord one thing whether people accept it or not it is undeniable that our time is finite undeniable however people want to read that
people may not believe in God but they can't deny that their time is finite [Laughter] and this verse in Surah Taha 134 that woman foreign
now there's many ways to look at this and people these different translations but one way to look at these is that you see the verse is saying women and who and isn't with intent whosoever turns away intentionally from Victory from the mindfulness of God from being mindful because when you are mindful of God everything changes your gratitude levels change your gratitudes are tied in there's a configuration they're tied in with your
contentment that changes you become content the more content the more positive you start beaming positivity you're smiling at people you smile at people people smile at you the whole world smiles at you all of a sudden doors and doors of opportunities are opening up and you think well you know it's a coincidence maybe or maybe it began with that mindfulness
see a person turns away from this Pope intentionally turns away from this mindfulness of God like oh God you know why is my life like this then foreign see this verse is not saying Allah is not saying we are giving him or her a wretched life
surely that person has a wretched life a wretched existence why Maisha a surrounding of living that is Bunker that is just frustration and wretched and why Allah is not saying in this verse we're giving it to that person we're making it happen no because it began with their mindset they were to uh you know I love God for what has God done for me was this you see it begins within the poisoners
and he spreads and it spreads to their existence that they ruin themselves deep down even at the level of consciousness thereby jeopardizing and it's an existence even after this Allah there's a beauty in how we read these verses one lie um
we need to they need to stop fighting put the weapons the internal weapons put them down surrender submit there's a calmness that comes with that Allah it all seriously very well said that it begins with a thought it really does and this is how Allah mentions it that
it begins with just a vicar in the mind a thought but a mindful a state of mind now these verses foreign people were to be people of faith that they have faith they were to be a people of mindfulness that they brought into God into their Consciousness because with that they bring a higher purpose they bring a level of responsibility
they bring that this sense of Duty and gratitude because you you see gratitude foreign it is undeniable that being grateful drastically improves a person's existence drastically I mean this is it is the this is undeniable even to atheists now the question is well who are you grateful to this is why in that discussion Jordan Peterson when he brings it up he says well who are you
grateful to then I said well I'm grateful to I'm just grateful for the Sun's Up and I'm grateful that it's a new day you know but who too gratitude is done on to who too he got stuck this one because yeah who are you supposed to be grateful to
you see um we would have opened up the blessings from the heavens above one arm and the Earth beneath see if only look this is a conditional well I think of the ball these were people and it's not about the these are people in denial invisible denial of what in denial for gratitude
in denial for a greater purpose in denial of a Divine love Allah foreign look at this verse sure then we took them by thee you see bhima can we accidentally by their energy by their path by their earning by their demands we then we took them but we took them by the game that they
wanted to play by you want to be bitter sure you're going to see bitterness everywhere but that's your game you want to play it Allah and this final verse oh I think no I think there's one more after this always a verse we've covered before on a few occasions that why what does God get out of Surah Nisa 147 that what does God
get out of punishing you ah but if only you had faith Allah yes I love what can Allah see the ivory the beautiful ironies Allah then describes himself as somebody that is grateful how that that's symbolically describing himself that's like meaning that her the God it's so embarrassing to read that as somebody that lacks gratitude
and we all black gratitude but it's it's a powerful reminder that just wow what is what does God get out of punishing and why do you even think like that saying doom and Clune you see the way you look at things that's how they will appear to you you change your perspective things you look at change now this is a verse I want to seal this section with it and it's from Surah fater verse 32 that is
and then this can refer to wisdom it can refer to judgment it can refer to knowledge it can refer to Destiny it can refer to all these things in the Quran so scripture kind of we this whole treasure this was inherited by those people that God chose he favored he chose
now check this because this is so powerful people Allah then expands on who these people are for minhum is Allah from them are those who transgress and oppressors they oppress themselves
and from them are people who stick you know that they're in the middle of and there are those who Excel in greatness and great deeds and great actions foreign is from the virtue of God from the blessing and grace of God this whole thing look who are these people that the favors of God are showering on them you think yeah it's going to be you know
this whole grace of God it's going to be the people that excel in greatness and doing great actions for Humanity and Good Deeds sure but it's going to also be the person you know they hit a Miss hit a Miss hit a Miss they get something good something bad they miss something they get something yeah you know it was going to beat them ah but did you think it was going to be valim online
did you think it was going to be just outright transgressors outright perpetrators as in by here valimony okay there's a important distinction here important distinction not people who oppress others but those who are fundamentally oppressing themselves withering away wasting their existence maybe this they're so critical of themselves they think yeah how can I ever be a good person I'm so messed up I've done all of
this in the past or I do all of that how could I or I still do all these things how could I feel ashamed to come to turn to God you know halib says that with what face what you know how do you how do you dare to face the Kaaba like turn up at the Kaaba do you have no shame saying that see people we are sometimes so
self-critical foreign these are from the people that God has favored look at the verse don't don't do not let that critical voice take a grip take any kind of firm grip within your mind everybody has a critical voice saying oh but never let it you know hold on to you ever it's just fleeting it can come it can go says oh you're
useless you're pathetic you're this you're that he says everybody has these voices these Let It Go Let It Go Allah you never just just remember that we are all worthy and this is too important because the so many people I'll speak to
and this critical voice in their head this negative voice it overpowers the other voice and it's destroying them from within this verse is a beacon of light Fuller that no don't don't tell yourself that you're pathetic or you're weak or you're useless or you're unaccomplished or you're no no no no
let those were Services girl I mean so this was to really just shed some light on two important things that there is a journey that we are all going on that there is a path and there is purpose and we must protect these at all times just keep one step at a time you know as long as we're moving they say this you know [Laughter] yeah blessing in motion people I hope that's
been of some help right let's move on I'll share the link right I'm going to uh and then I'll see the time and we'll wrap up oh we've got some time yet but there you go I've shared the link
what's this let's see grateful to Ukrainian women Cuts yes you know this reminds me um it was this article that [Music] um that several people so so people are taking in these um Ukrainian mainly they were women because the men had to stay behind and and and fight so Ukrainian women that come over and several people many britons were
encouraged to take them into their home so there's been now several cases with that's now resulting in a divorce has married this new Ukrainian wife that's like this is like another British policy that's just like almost just wreaked havoc ah your Genius plans that's a great genius plan isn't it
those guys must have been like yeah what a what a great excuse they must have been like yeah humanitarian Let's uh yeah so let's put in an application and help this poor woman in from her misery let's yeah and they're probably filtering I wonder if they get a choice in the photographs do they get a choice they're like um um that one looks like she needs a lot of help [Laughter]
yes mm-hmm all right so I've tried I'll share the link people if you wanna jump on ah all right didn't sultan suleimani have a Ukrainian wife he may have he may have because um all right so the um
yeah because they I guess today we see things like European and we see but in the past there was um uh so I'm wondering whether that's from the sakaliba so they were the the kind of sakalabies which were the um I think the Slavic people they were more um they seem to be uh at a certain point a huge focus on them in the Islamic countries and there was a huge influx of them and there was a lot of intermarrying and
they became a lot of the the caliphs close guards especially in Muslim Spain and other places as well but the the Ottomans were known for their harems shall we say rather you know I mean mind you most many of the caliphs in the past were whether they were in in the East or the West we had an episode on Morocco's mole is Ismail and Jason I've got a clip on that and his Harem and no
in his case I think he just had wives I think he had like a thousand wives or something and so um and some of the Andalusia calebs um had a few thousand a few thousand of the private collection this is my private collection you know of my Adam hand selected rather and so yeah I guess that that was the day and age as well and then well
interesting interesting all right swiping right swiping right yeah I'm not sure the key leaves but I remember once when I covered that in one of my things I I said well at that rate I mean even if you took yeah because one of the caliphs had like three thousand to three to four thousand of his uh private collection um so are they let's say an unwavering
uh um you know unwavering uh divinely blessed speed and stamina and good health [Laughter] where this person is is granting a a royal audience to let's say three on a daily basis of his uh private collection of his harem if he was encountering three of these uh
wonderful people for the day and he was to do this every single day without fail he would not come back to the same person it it would be it would take three years to come back to the same person yeah interesting cycles of life anyway before we we get distracted all right so right let me foreign
right I've shared the link I think somebody did jump on but uh if I I can't see it now so right okay I don't understand why the women would agree to be the other wife or concubine to one man is it for the money or status on these questions well you know I guess we'll have to ask one of these Sultans
KR what was the magic I'm sure there must have been a the Sultan's charm but people do people do like let's let's be honest even today in this day and age you could take celebrities of the world and it could take any like take Salman Khan from India you could take Brad Pitt you know from Hollywood you could take any of these people that millions millions of women would throw themselves
that and I'm sure they countless of them would be more than happy to just be another an extension of that long list they they would they wouldn't I don't think it would bother people you know it's these are blessings that different people have in different ways then there'll be some bachara nobody would even everybody would have just friendzoned him best should we say let's make Dua for the peoples stuck in
that zone I mean ah right so what is going on people what is going on right did I miss any uh I don't know what mm-hmm right oh there's uh so whilst I share that people what I'll do is I'll share the link and I'll I think I missed a Super Chat I'll go back to that and
otherwise we can then just wrap this up right almost he was speaking of Sultans um Omar Sultan what do you think of the saying he who knows himself knows his Lord yeah it's an amazing saying of the mystics attributed as a Hadith
because it's predicated on knowing oneself which is it's one of those things that when you say it it seems so obvious but it's so difficult to um to grasp it it's so difficult to grasp that um because most of you know arguably maybe even 99
I don't know if that's an exaggeration but the overwhelming majority part of of us our understanding of self is unconscious so it is like all wow so you see all of our thought processes if you take all of them and that which is allowing them to happen and operationalized so for example let's say you're using a you're using something online
now you're using a software or you use but this what you're using or let's say I'm using here and you guys are putting in charts it is only operating or is only allowed because it is at the surface of all this coding which has been done and programming which has been done and has been created and it is in operation to allow this interface of what we are doing
so even though we we can't and that then is nested in Hardware which allows that software to operationalize and function so but what we are seeing here is let's say there's a chat function and you're typing in a chat and and I'm reading this and you're reading this now that's at a very superficial level it's at the top so deep down the overwhelming majority of all of our thoughts and us our sense of self and mind it is
unconscious it is the unconscious mind so it is something if we can truly come to know ourselves we would learn from ourselves and find in it intimations of divine Glory so it would be it is true you know but that in itself is a lifelong journey that as me says that foreign
here waiting for myself Allah um there's a Super Chat Seema shukran much love for the superchar uh do you have any thoughts on ethical veganism can things that were once halal biharam um ethical veganism oh as in right okay so things that were Halal can be Haram at a certain point if there was a certain danger or something or as in it's not about but people would you know maybe would use the term that they are now not
as in prohibited uh you know maybe would because of such and such uh just as like if something was to become poisonous to a person let's say at an individual sense you know taking if you were seriously diabetic intentionally taking an excess amount of sugar uh if it was let's say in a way catastrophic for you or this could be with any if you had a
nut allergy and you are now to to to to do this or a something that is catastrophic to you at a personal level that is prohibited for you so similarly now you could raise that to a social level as well now veganism or vegetarianism um right yeah and you see okay so here's where I'm at with this
right so there's a side of me that totally understands and resonates with that you know that this that animal should not suffer and there is a a beautiful Hadith by the way where a person uh he was to offer a sacrifice um you know like foreign
I can't remember the animal now I think it may have been a goal tool something but he had it and he was supposed to offer it and the and afterwards the prophet had asked him that oh you know oh we didn't see you or what came of of of that or just asked him and he said that look I couldn't um he said I couldn't do it and the prophet said ah okay and he said he said I loved it too much like it got so attached to the animal and the prophet said that he who has Mercy Allah has Mercy on them
beautiful Hadith so there's that side of me that sees this that you know they shouldn't be suffering and it is very difficult while watching I have watched abroad it's traumatizing honestly I I do not want to watch um especially with kind of you know mammals and stuff so it's just it's so um but then there's the other side
where I don't I'm not convinced that not eating animals is like I'm just not convinced that that somehow the um going to save the planet or something because I feel that we whether we like it or not are omnivores like we like that are very teeth are made to eat meat now we can survive
on a herbivore herbivore diet but I I don't I'm not convinced that you survive in a healthy way I feel that a balance of meat for humans Keeps Us functioning at an Optimum level now once again you know people can disagree but I feel that there is we because we are in that like there is a pecking order and we are in the as well so remember it's not just us Lions will
eat wolves will eat Bears will eat they nature is still killing animals it's not that it's not happening so it's not and if we prevented it from happening I've the irony is like imagine we could like all animals tomorrow like with this snap of a finger let's say we had the technology to somehow um you know as a thought experiment like we could genetically modify All Creatures by just let's say we've got this Ray this laser
and we just zap every creature with it and the moment it's it kind of falls into this low-key of influence it becomes a herbivore so lions and everything now just eat grass and the the I feel that this is that the world would would break down because that you know there's a balance of the kind of the hierarchy of the pecking order and it keeps things in order so the grass is kind of kept in order by certain animals grazing and those
animals are then kept in order by other animals that feed on them which they are then kept in order by other animals that feed on them and them and and it's it's like a a kind of a hierarchy and humans are also in that hierarchy so yeah so I'm not so this is where like I do see the side this is why I find that Hadith really fascinating because on one hand it acknowledges that those who choose that path there's Mercy for them that God shows most but it doesn't demonize those who
do eat meat that's why I found that Hadith very uh like so perfectly just I don't know just some mesmerizingly balanced but I do get it I I do understand honestly I yeah 23 years ago 24 years ago 24 years ago I witnessed a uh a particular goat being slaughtered and at our home in the village till today I remember it
and it was because it's just the way and what it did and how we screamed and and it was it was terrible for me I I mean I'm not saying I remember it as trauma today because I mean I don't want to overdo it but I still till today remember that image like it's in my mind like ah like I can see it so it's
I just read this Mark's comment oh is it well I could relate I couldn't eat my pickle you know goats honestly kids that the baby girls yeah they are so cute I don't know if you see so I mean we call them bakrota all right people go but the kid girls they are just the cutest things ever like they're just so I was thinking of at one point getting some kind of you know you can get the
the dwarf cult so they just stay like the small one they're getting them for for Zozo like two in the garden just jump around um yeah so yeah so the question is you see that said it is true I do love steak Mufti love steak that that said the question is what about over consumption of meat and I think a better question it's not even that it's cruelty in animals in how we attain meat so we've created these kind of battery Farms where we just manufacture Mass
manufacture chickens and and then this horrible treatment towards these animals that I agree with you 100 is uh is an abomination and inshallah that these things can be improved and yeah yeah that said there was an article that that certain what's the organization is it called Peta or something um the the the Auntie meat eating where they said that we're calling on all women to abstain
sexually from men who eat meat I don't know if you guys it was in the news it was just yesterday I saw this news article I was like hello you know interesting interesting so um a shukran much love for the Super Chat uh once again I think you might like to check out YouTubers Earthling Ed and Cosmic skeptic cover those arguments always try to remain non-judgmental even if someone does eat
you know I'll tell you something that um is interesting one of the earliest vegans that we know about generally in our tradition is the great Muslim poets very very and he was a vegan and not even just a vegetarian like a vegan and so no dairy products nothing and he was one of the greatest poets uh of of the whole Islamic tradition when I say the Islamic the Muslim tradition he was a philosopher as well he was um you know what they say
um there's some amazing poems so yeah and he has this great book as well uh it's an interesting one we're speaking about like a walk in paradise and all these people out there and you've got these philosophers and he's just it's a bit like Dante's infernal muscle which is much later which is definitely took it from him he's hundreds of years before that but it's there's this journey it's called resellers
and he was it's interesting you know he and he chose not to have children because he said that he didn't want to bring people into a world that was cruel it's it's just you know just whether we agree or disagree with his views but just to take a moment and sit back and just wow yeah this is from a thousand years ago he was a contemporary of all the Abdul Abdullah the great Maliki Legend and in fact they had an interaction you know with the poem you know the because
he's you know he would sometimes be very CR you know his poetry he would pose philosophical criticism even to the Islamic jurist he'd put it in his poetry in it so he says um about chopping the hand he made this poem he says uh foreign he says because you know if you if you accidentally injured somebody's hand or cut it off accidentally you would have to give them 500 gold pieces and that was a minimum that was like huge in that
kind of day and age and he says that the hand which is valued at 500 gold pieces how could it be cut off for a quarter of a gold piece because the Nissan for if what you steal if it's above rubber Idina they would cut the hand so it says Allah see in that day and age they had this atmosphere to be able to speak like this it wasn't like blasphemy blasphemy oh kill him they celebrated this kind of
call the Abdullah the great Maliki dawn of his time you know the author of Mauna and ishraf and Talquin and all these books he writes in reply eventually like he sees his thing and replies to on the same scale he says he says it's it's not the price it's the trust which
inflates or deflates its value he says understanding that the wisdom of the Divine that it's not money or monetary value is the value of trust that you have broken and that is much more than 500 gold pieces it's ah beautiful discourse but this he was from sham region
And he as I was mentioning he he was a vegan and he chose not to have any children and you know he said that he wanted the Epitaph of his grave to the kind of epithet to read that um he says but to read on his grave that has
foreign [Laughter] like this is his grave yeah he says this is what my father like this like Jenna is like used for like this is the fruits but it could be a fruit but it could often it's used for like a crime as well as in this is the doing of my dad as in what he's trying to say is what lies here the corpse was the doing the choice that his dad had made to have him here he is lying
here but I did not you know transgress on anyone else as in I didn't have any children but whether we look it's not about we agreeing with that or disagreeing well it's just it's a beautiful kind of um apart of the great picture of Muslim Legacy that they were thinkers like that as well who lived who who thrived you
know and celebrated till today his poetry is one of the best poetry that Muslims had produced Arabic poetry yeah he was blind by the way he was blind now but yeah I I digress I think I may have missed a Super Chat um much love for the Super Chat you looking forward to the new Assassin Creed Mirage game coming out next year it's based 9th century ah I have to get into gaming but then I think why get into it
so much of life has has gone without it I see Sarah is a much love yard for the Super Chat what's your views on U.S execution method of lethal injection medical journal say cause Suffocation and severe pain I think it's barbaric think it's barbaric I don't I've got a video on this I don't believe that any state has the right to execute I I'm definitely with those people that feel you see because what this fundamentally is it is a human sacrifice yeah so
the question is does the state have a right to offer human sacrifices now you might say well this ain't a human sacrifice okay that's but if you change the perspective that's exactly what it is you see you're saying well
every time such and such person does this we offer them as a sacrifice to the sanctity of the law and the Constitution and the state that is sovereign to that belief now you could say well the you know the the system that's executing them is not portraying it in that light and that's maybe so it is not portraying it in that light but it can be reduced to ultimately a human sacrifice
but the state has the right to execute and to sacrifice a human life at the expense of its statehood at the expense of its sovereignty at the expense of its legal system so what so like let's say You're an Alien and you you know you can see multiple time you know Dimensions running at once and you're viewing human beings and you can see these people let's say
in in the Aztec uh civilization being offered to the gods and you could see people in the ancient Egyptian civilization being offered as to the gods and you can see people um let's say a Hindu woman who's being burnt alive under Sati practice as an offering to the God as well and you're seeing and this is all simultaneously as an alien you can see all of these these are like imagine it like on a screen being offered at once and then you are seeing in in a modern
State somebody being electrocuted or the electric chair or poison lethal injection or now this new method of Suffocation or the gas chamber like fundamentally there's no difference in what's because they are all offering this in these cases this is not just murder this is not murder this is not cold-blooded murder going on in any of these cases this is cool calm collected and premeditated it is engineered with a cold mentality it's not it's not a crime
it's not that the people burning the woman alive in in let's say ancient India or offering them at the pyramids of the Aztecs to the gods and tearing out their hearts or the people offering them for the River Nile to to kind of flow and these are not being done out of necessarily like anger or Vengeance or just as a state that is executing this man that they're not angry at that moment the judge and the system
these people are all being offered to a greater being a higher purpose they're being sacrificed to a higher purpose so whether it was the the ancient Egyptians offering the humans so the river so the gods will allow the River Nile to to flow again and to do things or the ancient Aztecs were offering them or the ancient Indians were offering the woman to burn alive or or you had people like
the Vikings offering human sacrifices to please uh Odin or the other gods of War so they could have you know victory all of these or you've got the modern State offering the life of this individual to preserve to for a higher purpose of a legal system that they have which once again is not a physical thing it's a non-tangible it's not a palpable something you can touch it's just a psychosocial reality it doesn't exist except in our minds legal system is which is ultimately there to for the
sovereignty of a state and the state does not actually exist it's just a fictitious reality in our minds there is no such thing as a state it only exists because in our minds it doesn't have a and this is why young had said Carl Jung that the the cut that the con the modern state was a substitute for God that it was there to provide morality there to provide uh laws and rulings and in many cases there to require
sacrifices human sacrifices and it was a non-ten tangible entity just like God so I passionately disagree with any such entity that's of this state and this Sovereign sovereignty of statehood and this kind of um legal system that allows human beings to be offered
as human sacrifices that doesn't see so yeah I would categorically yeah so I think Europe definitely you know abolishing um whether you want to say judicial executions or you want to say human sacrifices uh it was the right move and I think when was it in um was in 1965 they abolished it in the UK the hanging um and peer point was one of the last executioners wow this there's a movie about him so he can watch that
right guys um that's um right okay excellent yeah that when Muslims saw the Vikings do human sacrifice they freaked out absolutely there's the story of ibna fablan he was freaked out and you know
felt unconscious he fainted when he was in India and he saw the woman being burnt alive he fainted like how the f are all these people standing around somewhat ceremoniously and not helping her and he didn't know who she he was just he was going past like they were he was riding past and they had this the Paya and they had the whole you know the cremation but then he sees that obviously that's the kind of going by that they're burning this woman alive and she's screaming and he fainted from that he was in so traumatized he writes this is
in his regulator he thinks what the was that and then they tell him that this is what these people do and he can't get over it he's a Muslim Malika is is Maliki from Morocco so from Tanja and he and we would honestly I would dread can you imagine the thought of that so these things are just ultimately and you know the coldness that it's done with like the the us the way they execute with the lethal injection it's like it's it's a job
you know oh turn up in a white coat and I'm putting some person to their death it's a job it's done with clinically this is why you know Foucault when he spoke about the whole clinical thing was to Rob it was to make everything so cold and robbed and institutionalizing but yeah when they do that by the way they do um um so when they would do the lethal injection [Music]
when they pulled the levers they have blind levers so so then they have multiple participants so they may have three or whatever it is people pulling the lever for the poison to kind of go but two of them are placebos and one is the real Poison but none of the people pulling the lever's nose who's pulling the actual lever and the reason is so they can live with themselves look how look how clever we've become
yesterday I was clever as Romy said today I'm y so I changed myself see we're so clever at figuring these things out but why aren't we clever about rehabilitation why aren't we clever about building constructing not destructing it's yasala ah guys you know what let's wrap this up it's been it's been an awesome evening I do have a very early start
