who is a keen fervent student of knowledge especially within um islamia Islam Islamic philosophy and metaphysics and and it was just it was just such a you know the conversation just unfolded naturally and it took so many fascinating turns we discussed all kinds of things I loved it I mean it's I could have just carried on talking and talking but
what's that oh alarm what kind of an alarm is that because so yeah I will share a link to join shortly so shukran um Hassan Mahmoud Salam wow haven't seen your lives for like three years but feels like I've watched you yesterday well Allah keep you blessed I mean you know that's see that's something I'd like to also just briefly share my thoughts on that
is moving just reflection on time um yeah how Musa Murad how has this transition been since moving on from Monday nights what an amazing question I must say yeah I'll I'd like to share I'd like to respond to that and give my thoughts on it um yeah the background what do you guys think huh why not why not oh Dempsey it's been a while hope you're keeping
well a lot bless you um all right so we've got quite a few Americans see the ski screens are something's going on with the screens today they just flick it almost again um mufti's opinions on Consciousness yesterday we had a very profound conversation on Consciousness I I loved it I mean I think maybe towards 30 into the the podcast we started speaking about Consciousness and linking it to language
and how language is also in many ways a a subset of that Collective consciousness and I guess lacan with his language is structured sorry the unconscious is structured like a language but then we spoke about mind you lakan does not say it is a language so as not to be confused in that but he's saying and not that it has a language but that the unconscious is structured like a language right so that's um
that's fascinating and that's something we can share some thoughts on because he what he's highlighting is amongst the things language does is it appears to us but it allows us it it functions through things like metaphor and metonymy and he uses these terms to say well the unconscious is doing that with people whether it's going to be a desire a thought a at times or a dream that there will be a lot of this and and I I like that
um you know this I I see a lot of profundity to what he's saying La Khan and especially when he speaks of the the other although I feel La Khan's terms that he uses are foreign I feel because he used very simple terms uh which is a which show in and of itself can be profound but he used terms which are common terms for for other words and so they can be appear confusing to people
so his imaginary symbolic and the real now when you say imaginary he's not talking about the imaginary when the common word but more so from image and so this confuses people because it's and it's real it doesn't mean real in the with the word real so you can imagine now somebody constantly uses the word the imaginary and the real obviously that said lakhan was primarily doing his stuff in French um but yeah
putting the Khan aside I've drawn on his teachings and his Concepts and extracted borrowed the terms with some license and then applied them to within Islam to the Muslim condition when it comes to Allah and especially this metaphoric the metaphor and metonymy and I feel that most Muslims
we they will find themselves Within These two paradigms when it comes to their relationship with God that there is what aspects on what names of Allah or how do they see the manifestation of the glory of Allah and their link to it in creation so if some metaphor here and I get this is building on this same Paradigm
taking it but but working on it so I'm not using it exactly in in the same way that lacan is using it and he was not using it exactly the way Jacobson was using it and he took it from him so I'm taking this same um dichotomy and with some free license to it so our relationship to God to Allah will if through metaphor is seen more in the spirit of things it is more about
God is love God is mercy God is light Allah Allah Allah loves so many countless so many verses in the Quran in Allah Allah loves time and time again Bismillah yeah a lot Thief
you are us you are connecting bonding to the manifestation of the glory of God in through this metaphor metaphor of Love of Grace of uh virtue of kindness is [Music]
love all of these things father Grace on the other side the metonymy so that's metaphor metonymy so metonymy taking it obviously where this is the the conceptual um provenance one may argue that one may say for this term with Jacobson whose linguistically explaining metonymy in metonymy is a um it's some see it as a form of metaphor but it's where something is placed next
to it's not representative of in a metaphor you might say well I might say something like oh that person is an ocean of knowledge that's a metaphor right so you or you might say oh that person is you know lovingcarnate
or that person is a lion and there's a metaphor about courage and Viola and these things those people are not those things actually but there is a metaphor to draw you to some identification or some proximity to them closeness to them metonymy on the other thing is where you are placing actual things that are connected next to one another in a link so you are saying things like um um you are using it like you are using a portion or a
part of something that is connected to another part to refer to the whole um in some ways like if I said well if I if I had a book and I said well oh these pages will explain to you well actually it's not technically just the pages but it's the writing on the pages and the whole book put together and but I'm using apart pages to refer to the whole book oh or if I was to say refer to a clock by just the handles
or you know the the I mean the hands of the clock sorry so handles but the hand if I was to say Well when the hand strikes such and such or defines or if we were to refer to um a a car as Wheels my wheels or um or to refer to a person's intelligence by his brain all of these things are have some relation it's they have they're placed next to them it's not a matter it's not a metaphor in the first sense like saying such and such person is a lion
such and such person you say um it's an actual what they call contiguity that something is contiguous it is placed next to something and you now substitute it for this thing so some people they approach God through that Dynamic that Paradigm so they see Allah through his or not see but they develop their bond in the manifestation of akam laws within Sharia ritual Salah the rules the um I must and this becomes
the the their bond to the glory of God or to God it is when they say God they they bind themselves to him through his laws or through his worship or through his um prayer or through his so here this is not a right or wrong matter everybody is connected in on their journey to Allah but
you have a different order of things here those who are attaching themselves or on this journey to Allah through metanimic processes of saying well they are OBS they are concerned with the rituals they're concerned with the beard concerned with the hijab concerned with the Abaya or with the uh don't listen to We must it is all about and this is not to be critical and the many of these people if if not all but many of these people will
have a pure devotion to God when they're doing this a you know a a meaningful sacred devotion in their action that is admirable but they are taking a metonymic path to God this in the order of these two is still a lower order path and uh and it is wonderful it is still it is an amazing full of Baraka still a path to God the other part the metaphoric path to God
is a higher order path because he hates it's not too belittle or deride or to be dismissive of it still to embrace the the the rituals or the rulings but it's here this metaphoric Affinity to the glory of God through his light through his love through his grace this isn't this journey is it's astronomically uplifting now what we find
and I will in the future set about more things on this we find sometimes with the metonymic path people can become riddled with um with an obsessive personality they can become riddled with waswasa with OCD they can become uh what in Psychology it's called Mental Health scrupulosity so this mental health issue that where you have religious ocde
this often you'll find that one way to transition or to become to free yourself from this scrupulosity is to transition and to to metamorph your journey from the metanimic to the metaphoric and thereby you lose the shackles of this this kind of waswasa that because So Many religious people not all not many are not the majority inshallah but many are riddled with these kind of things
so that's it's an amazing um um pathway to healing for people that find themselves uh plagued with these thoughts these these doubts people that have these doubts about I'm not worthy or God is going to punish me or God is gonna do uh I you know have I said something that's kufar have I oh my God is my salon I accepted oh my God I I need to repeat my wudu I've I think I may have committed kofor and people who are plagued with these
um with the scrupulous debilitating thoughts that as a as a method of healing them psychologically through this Psychotherapy psychotherapeutic process it is religiously from the perspective of Islam to take the journey from a metanimic to that of a metaphoric and they will find the healing may Allah make things easy I I just I remembered I hope that's of some help uh but I will in the future speak more on these things
all right so um right I um somebody um had asked oh right there was a question uh about um the the Journey from
foreign versus a metaphoric if you rewind through what I said once we finished I did go into it and give the definitions and explained where this these concepts are emerging and how I'm repurposing them within the Islamic framework um especially as a method of because once you identify something you can you you you can move to uh Empower and
enhance yourself on that Journey because if you don't identify it it's just haphazard also this can help people who struggle with a religious OCD who struggle with it's called scrupulosity um that is within Islam on on doubts and self-guilt um in helping them this is and this is something I will speak more of what I will try to do as well at some point I've been thinking about this for a while and somebody's been also you know we've been having some discussions about
helping people with this and um I will set up a brief um I will try to a for not many but maybe a few sessions of a a brief course almost maybe just um if I can put the whole thing within four or five sessions and then just have that prepared for people because a lot of people do struggle with this with this what's what's up right okay um there was
Galileo once said he was interested in more in God's work than in his works and this is not too um belittle I'm not saying you are belittling Ash you're certainly not but I'm just saying this is not to belittle the the love and the devotion because people it's to understand the sacred okay and to to under religion at its heart if religion was a body it's pumping hard
is the sacred without the sacred there is no there is no Divine you could not the Divine is the sacred is and I think that people sometimes don't understand the weight of that thought that there is that the divine is the sacred so people are not drawn fundamentally to Faith
through other means except through their identification with the sacred that is the amongst the most experiential Pathways to God people there are people who rationally who just it's just pure intellectual they've not it's not about experiencing for them there are people like that and there are other people as well in in other ways but mainly for the most part people are drawn to God experientially through the sacred
right um yeah feeling the new background all right shukran you think I should keep it for the meaning with Mal we can have some thoughts on that right there was a um how is England um I really like the background
um yeah I I do feel it it's it's got It's got something to it um yeah right well I will share the link and some of you can jump on and create I want to share some words first on reflection since the years coming to an end let's have some thoughts on that oh here was a question how was your transition been since moving on from Monday nights Allah bless you yeah I
it's been incredible Hawaii and it brings with it a Stillness a calmness um or I say brings with him I feel that is what is within and it is manifesting without maybe it's age here you know we yeah now I'm almost 44.
[Music] you know um the other day I was I don't know I was thinking about something I was listening to something and I was thinking about my thoughts and and out of nowhere some words appeared in my consciousness as they do with it with everyone I'm sure and I was thinking in general about life
and these words came just just appeared in my Consciousness that is [Laughter] wow is a summary of something you summarize brevity making something you know just a summation and tool is the lengthening of something or the longevity of something something kind of the longevity so between the brevity and
the longevity or between the summary of something and it's uh it's kind of you know stretched it's kind of stretch is life really you know I thought it's so true isn't it that life just passes by between these two
wow so it's I think we all need to be on a we are Insha'Allah I'm sure everyone that's watching this is on a path of um um of development of a personal evolution and it's necessary it's fascinating you know this person was Musa something he asked about
since Monday nights I think sometimes I I think like if I let's say remember or recall those shows and things and and I feel that it's a me it's shocking because now when I think of them I recall within me or I feel the kind of feeling not recall within me but when I think of it this is the feeling this is what I feel I feel noise I feel
unsettledness I feel turbulence like if I I I don't feel peace when I recall those things and yeah
and in many ways I I find it you know I find it amusing and amazing that that for so long I would I guess when you're in the throes of something you do it and you don't I I'm amused and amazed that how because it feels so like it takes such a toll on one's inner peace and soul that kind of because fundamentally was distractions
and entertainment and I'm not saying that there was no good in them I feel that they were we all arrive we are all somewhere in our lives at a certain time for some reason and it's not to say that those things were bad or good or but they were different and there were many things that with life you learned that it wasn't the way that you still need to mature like I feel I Still Still now need to mature so much on
but it was a time and a place such is life foreign seriously it's been I think one of the things that's happened with meaning with mom is this being a also a shift in the audience and people who have gravitated towards this message of calm a message of more love and embracing and compassion and trying
to be more meaningful or to have more inner meaning it's it's been a what it's been a wonderful crowd really loving people and amazing people constructive meaningful I love it it's Allah bless everyone um bless you all Amy so that's as far as that's been going um in terms of uh in terms of this year 2022 that's coming to an end
I'm gonna share I don't know why this is the screen gives it's it seems to kind of flicker occasionally but I hope it's it's not making a difference on to the viewers I mean it only does it occasionally um yeah so right now somebody said that the entertainment and the Masala segment was jokes it was it was funny I you know this one I think a couple of months back I was
I was on my YouTube studio and there was some comment or something so I kind of clicked on it and the person was saying he's speaking about a video so so you click on it and it opens up the video and it was an old video and I think I was uh responding to be on the Jesus issue issue and um and I I was just sitting here and so I ended up just watching it and oh my God I laughed so much [Laughter] some of it was because I'd forgotten some sometimes you forget the inner
details of what you've exactly you remember the gist of it but you don't remember for example all the the jokes you said or the things you and it was shocking and at the same time hilarious and so I did I do understand that but a time and a place and it was it is for now uh a different lifetime right people 2022 coming to an end it's an incredible harm incredible I wanna share the um I want to share
some thoughts and then um I want to share some thoughts and and then we'll move on to our I'll uh share the invite link and you guys can jump on I wanna mention that you see we as humans we easily become plagued by by mental thoughts and sometimes these thoughts are not always a Force for good
okay they can be harmful and and I guess in one reflect one manifestation and that is or in one manifestation that's a uh a reflection of the Hadith that we have these negativities always with us if somebody wants to see in one representation of the Hadith being that we have an an angel and a devil with us meaning a source of positivity and a
source of negativity one uh symbolic extraction from that or um contemporary words for that today um could be somebody could use words like that or they could use literal words as well like Angel and Demons but a more contemporary common usage people may see a force of positivity and a force of negativity well these negative thoughts they they like them they can be a disease so
I want to share something with you that to flip the switch okay and this is something personal as well it happened to me uh years ago so so I I remember as far back as when I would study in madrasa and I remember this one time thinking that oh my God yeah this year as in the last year the Year had just kind of gone we were embarking on a new year I remember thinking oh my God last year
this happened as in something unfortunate like I felt ill and I I remember I had this um almost like a pneumonia like infection almost uh of the lungs and and it was horrible and it was really painful excruciatingly painful and I couldn't at first figure out what it was because it would because first it just started off as a mild calf and as it built up it would hurt all over and I initially thought it was muscle pain from going to the gym but it wasn't it was then it started to get worse and
worse and I I thought if I sprained a muscle because it would hurt on the back and it would hurt on the chest the pain would just spread and it got it became debilitating at a point and eventually I uh you know went to the hospital and they checked me and examined me and then it was but I remember thinking oh that you know you know this year this happened negative and also something else happened negative see this is the worst whistle the the force the negative Force the share theme okay
and I remember thinking damn oh I wonder what even worse may happen the following year now you see that thought just being planted Inception so the following year I can't remember some event happened like like in all years something may happen I can't remember now but something may have happened I'm abroad this is going almost like two decades ago and I was thinking oh my God this year
this has happened and now see how this disease is taking root so so at one point in the coming years so then I would forget about it I wouldn't always be plagued I wouldn't be constantly plagued but let's say when a new year was about to begin sometimes I would upon reflection think damn this year such and such had happened and such as oh my God uh what's gonna happen next year do you see what I mean this kind of
a thought I wouldn't constantly dwell on these I wasn't that kind of a person but I would have these this moment of negativity getting anchored into myself anchored into my psyche now so at one point I thought to myself that what am I doing what am I why am I allowing this to even occur as a phenomenon you need to you need to face and counter this negativity so
initially with a simple Dua because this is in essence Superstition this is a form uh albeit a metanimic form but it is a form of superstition so initially you see so superstitions are like rituals so the first step is you counter them with a ritual foreign
except an omen you give there is no goodness except goodness that is given by you there is no deity or God except you what a beautiful and empowering to all so straight of the of the curse that if I had that thought is they would say you do tuffel which is like a ritualistic kind of aspirated uh almost spitting like gesture so you're not actually spitting but you're going like
is on the left shoulder now this is just a ritual for people who are caught in rituals superstitious rituals to counter that and psychology actually commends these kind of practices today so like the person might say there's no power it might accept by God dispelling the illusory power of these things
okay that done then I started to I flipped the switch I thought stop that dead in its tracks you reflect instead come from this angle that what amazing things happened last year you see what um you know fantastic what heartwarming events took place this whole year I thought
oh yeah this happened oh yeah I managed to uh finish this thing oh yeah I managed to really connect with this and I wanted to I wanted to connect with that so partly and oh yes I I met that person what an amazing we you know there was this uh a bond of friendship we developed or oh my God I got to learn these things I made this accomplishment oh my God I I wonder what amazing things are gonna happen next year I wonder what Allah has in store for me
you see so you flip the switch from a moment you were thinking oh my God I wonder what horrible things might happen next to all of a sudden yeah you know this year this happened this happened this was just oh I love this this was such a great time this year that event took place that event oh my God I can't wait I wonder what amazing and blessings Allah has this coming year that are going to unfold for me
and that is an amazing way to move forward each year so do that try that um I want to share that with you guys because it's something really I find it's it's a way of always keeping your positive spirits may Allah bless you all and make things easy I mean right um
all right can we crypto I've got that no problem no one is open-minded I don't know what this is talking about mental colonization yeah mental colonization I like that Allah bless you um you know they describe it as a counter transference reactions to borderline patients sure that's um but that's where the the where the clinician or the therapist is
taking that from um or in this case the patient is you know taking it back almost as they counter transference so yeah you should be making more and more money of ride why not why not Allah's blessings Allah gives the Lord gives but yes why not let's make more and more there's an amazing beautiful Dua the Allah
Allah placed right here in our hands just don't place it in our hearts I love that it is so uh it is just so real and wholesome Joshua Hutchinson I think I've learned more in this year than I have in my entire life may Allah bless you moving forward and exponentially teach you I mean
yeah Mufti would you ever be willing to officiate my marriage in the future why not why not sure Reach Out connect let's see given um that things are possible why not given terms and conditions of availability of course right
holiday double change mind Allah bless you I mean it is true it's amazing to see how far we have all come true from Atlanta from Atlanta it's been ages it's been ages I hope you're doing well Allah keep you blessed right I'm going to share the link if anybody wants to jump on and greet
uh yeah where is this link you know speaking about life I was there were some poems yeah I was I was pondering over them there's it said in order there was one that was
foreign some once again at some point we have to meet
that person him or her and then he follows by saying that's what I wanted but that was but it did not happen wow amazing huh you know some of these things huh they make you think it's a bit it echoes the message of phase in his famous that foreign
that if we achieve you or accomplish you we as in if we were to obtain this bond with you Destiny itself it is as though Destiny itself has become subdued to us that is
that that actually didn't happen it's just that I wanted that to have happened the it's amazing what poets say in in short words sometimes they compel and that's a just a beautiful poem by um phase Ahmed face he says uh
his his famous lines in it that foreign [Laughter] he's saying it's not that the it says that the the glance still goes back there to that trying to say there's always these allures of life it's not that they lose
their glossiness or earlier it still goes there his his mind his thoughts he says that says what could we do what can we do he says you still are stunningly beautiful [Laughter] saying but what could we do now this is it's just it's it's amazing it's it's it's so open it's like open source you make of it what you will that
orbital Kansas City he says that but there are other tragedies or sufferings in life besides love as well meaning we've got work to do as well ah you gotta love The Poets yeah they they do they express something in such short words and and with so much profundity in real case when he says that poem
when he says uh Allah in unbeknownst to him when he's collapsed in that Valley and unbeknownst to him that this will be his his death but he the fighting spirit and he says to himself he says Allah and he's been robbed of all I mean he's lost all his wealth or not but he's lost a considerable amount and the Very gown which he was gifted by the Caesar is actually by the the emperor was exact was The Poisoned gown that's led to his death and
and as he's sitting there losing the ability to even stand and he says Allah he says you know it's all right even after losing everything a man will regain prosperity and even after old age he will still go on to live a longer life
with opulence but unbeknownst to him he was to die there it's these poems they wow they Allah um [Laughter] this is where the Prophet had said that Allah
indeed in poetry you will find wisdom right guys let's share um create you look so much younger wow do I oh yeah it is your eyes as they would say in Arabic you know it is your eyes that see this and project this onto the world for all you know I'm simply something your mind has conjured up
[Laughter] I'm just a figment of your imagination right so right what did you super Hydra did you ever do a mine trap with Dr Shady nasar doctor shading ourselves
we're not talking about Dr Sheikh Shady al-masri you're talking about is the Quran um Professor the one who has his book on the uh the ministry the not the manuscripts the uh the the varying recitations of the Quran and things like that I have this book here somewhere actually uh no I didn't get that was meant to happen but I didn't get around to that actually um yeah I didn't get around to that so no that didn't happen I do have a few
mind traps waiting actually quite a few so inshallah let's into the new year we'll let's get this show on the road I mean unless you meant Dr masri I never had anything ever planned with um although to be fair if he would want to come onto a Minecraft and have a discussion I'm sure it would be wonderful be interesting to to speak about his journey and and thoughts right um
right all right few people as our projections except for Allah true um can we get some historians or orientalists on Minecraft sure I mean you know put me in touch with them and if they're interested if they're interesting and interested
two things you know so that interesting and interested then put have a word with them and put me in touch with them foreign that just reminded me of a poem actually what was the there was a poem with shart
I um Allah wow he says if I'm to accept you that too with your conditions says this this is nothing new that's that's a proposition the whole world offers me
uh it does make you laugh sometimes right okay let's share out uh let's figure out the link uh where are we where's the link invite all right here goes Bismillah yeah can I get some words of encouragement hi hi hi
smashed the hearts to pieces right Dil Journey you know become somebody that mends and melts the hearts together yeah so guys I've shared the link I really want to see you and Amar nakshwani together discussing topics I don't right okay I don't know what kind of topics discusses
um right love from salaam from Senegal Allah bless you all I mean I don't know what kind of uh topics he discusses really I'm not interested in the whole obviously I'm aware of his denominational stances I'm not interested in the whole arguing debating and you know people have their view we have our view tkr you know it doesn't matter we're not going to change the world you know nobody's going to convert the Shia to some knee nobody's going to convert the
Sunni to Shia I it is what it is and people will disagree but I feel that we need to find middle grounds to so as to get along with love and compassion where we can and if we feel we can't then just maybe Place ourselves with such I don't know distance that we can get along with civility yeah right we've got all right we've got some people
uh logs logging on so override somebody saying you need to debate it clarifies things oh is that what we need a lot all right so who do we have here who do we have we have a Kenneth figure
what did you say how do you pronounce it sounds like a cool that's a cool surname yeah I like it it sounds cool man it has Andalusian Roots yeah I was about to say is it like Portuguese or is it something it carries some of that flavor to it
so where are you joining us from Kenneth Tampa Florida USA Florida such a see America just has certain parts to it that just they just carry an ear of being so chilled and I don't know whether they actually are but they just the thought of it strikes this notion in the mind of and I think California has that visual effect on people just California and then I think Florida hit us these chilled calm I'm not saying they have to all be like that but it gives the impression of these mellow chilled people
so multi if I may I have a question all right share your questions first of all first off I'd like to begin by saying uh it's honor to finally speak with you you know um I've been following for a couple years there's been times where you've made me upset but for the most part I respect what you're doing um appreciate that I always I feel like I'm sure there's times I've made myself upset so I've been in that boat as well where I thought I feel that you do good work on making people really think about what they believe in and I I resp at the end
of the day I respect that although I may not always agree with what you have to say um so my question is actually regarding uh the birth of Israel um in the past being Christmas day today coincidence um in the past you've expressed your opinion uh our Viewpoint that you know um was not uh it was not an Immaculate Conception it was not Isa was not born of a virgin and I believe at one point you even
suggested that you know she may have been married to to Joseph who's in the Bible and my question is you know if that's the case then why is it that when she comes into town the town people essentially accuse her of being unchecked if she was married why would they make that accusation or or pose that question does that make sense what I'm trying to ask yeah sure absolutely um right well okay so this all right so so these things about
uh the about the prophets within the Quran or within history as well um before we get into any anybody gets into any discussion or conversation on them it is always important to understand that these people who are deemed the most amazing of people of creation of Allah Isaac called and this uh the Messiah
okay primary feature to us if we want to use that all this outstanding quality is the prophethood and it is their message to connect people to God so that is what it is all about fundamentally and it is their work that they did on earth and the fruits we still see I mean millions of people around the world till today Muslims Christians as well absolutely loving Jesus even if they disagree on their on how
they describe him but loving him till this day for the work that he did and for his mission which was to profess this bond to tr to connect people to God so that's the most important thing in understanding as to certain other things like for example descriptive factors like where did Jesus live um how old was he when he became a prophet how old was he when he died what cities did he travel to did he have brothers and sisters uh did he was he born of a
virgin birth did he actually die on on Earth or was he raised alive to the heavens these things as fascinating as they may be for some people more than others they never preoccupied that primary space to do with Isa Ali salaam or any Prophet whether we're going to ask about Moses for example what was Moses's dad's name uh what were his uncle's name if he had any um you know what was uh when Moses his childhood like or what was like we probably don't know what was dad's name uh what was his mom's name what city did
not Ali salaam live in like these as fascinating as they may be to some people will never be the primary focus of why Allah spoke about these people in the Quran spoke about them because he selected them as prophets and gifted them for his message now so so that's very important to explain because sometimes with this uh this kind of secondary tertiary discussions there can be some noise where we forget the primary goal now okay with that in mind
uh honing in on Isa Ali Salam and the the descriptions we have of him that are commonplace so what what exactly where exactly do Muslim Scholars stand with that so so we have this understanding that now you asked of the Virgin birth the Immaculate Conception often uh that's technically I mean it's not the Immaculate Conception the Immaculate Conception is actually Mary being born with the Immaculate Conception um so what they say is when Mary was born God protected her from carrying
over any sin and then people often mistakenly Call the Virgin birth demaculate conception but the Immaculate Conception is actually the birth of Mary the birth of Jesus is just is called virgin birth now the Virgin birth right so this is a notion that is very commonplace and it's very uh it is the most popular notion to do with the birth of Jesus so P if you go to Christians or Muslims almost anywhere and you ask them they would most likely have heard of this and say that he Jesus
was born from Virgin birth being born from a virgin Birth has no bearing on his prophethood or his message or his no or his ministry in life now this thing of Virgin birth how did Muslim Scholars um how did they position themselves with regards to this concept so the majority of the Muslim Scholars uh they so first of all just before answering that the Virgin birth where did it first appear so in Jesus's lifetime nobody speaks of the Virgin birth um so there's none this is not an issue
during his lifetime so and you can imagine that it even if you apply let's say if we can call this like an archaeological fact-finding approach to history you can assume that let's say for example in that time as of this this is reasonably let's let's Loosely use the word fact it's it's a fact that to in the presence of the Jewish community in um in in in Nazareth or uh in Jerusalem at the time
Miriam to them they didn't hold much value for it she was just a regular to them she was just a regular girl you know this woman who doesn't mean anything to them she's not she's not a powerful woman who's really rich and really has this you know all these powerful people with her and she's just a she's she's a poor um a woman who is deemed to them a nobody you can imagine just rationally that if she had made a claim to them that I got I'm pregnant and there was no
father you can just imagine how the Jewish Community would have responded like if I asked you for a guess you'd guess it straight away now how do you think the Jewish Community would respond they what do you think they would respond with so just like off the cuff just a straight do you think they would accept that excuse they wouldn't so what as a consequence what do you think they would have done according to the Jewish law they would have stoned her which is in the Torah they would have stoned her to death so okay now you understand that point because that she was not a powerful Rich uh strong woman she was just to them a
village girl if she had made a claim that I had a baby and there was no father they would have just stoned her there was no two ways about them saying they wouldn't care because they didn't accept Jesus anyway most the Jewish people didn't accept Jesus as a prophet of God so let's Okay that's just you put that idea there so then you look through Christianity with a kind of archaeological uh mindset where you're fact-finding uh almost intellectual fossils so you think well where did this appear so this appears after the death of Jesus after the death of
Mary so another interesting thing is during Mary's lifetime in Jesus's lifetime nobody accuses her of adultery right so because if they if they did they would have just killed her there was no if the Romans were interested which they really weren't but let's say the Romans were interested in Mary this thing of she committed adultery they would have just killed her if they needed to the Jewish people would have definitely killed her without blinking because it was irrelevant to them she was insignificant to them and the Jewish law was far more important so if nobody
accused her in her lifetime like in the Bible there were no accusations against Mary for being having a committed adultery there's nothing like that not during she lives a natural life dies the natural life after Jesus so okay almost a century later there is a discussion in Christianity now suspending before we get to that discussion yes there is a mindset amongst the Greco-Roman and Middle Eastern people it's of the a virgin birth this does exist so there's many people who have made claims so for
example the Greco people in believed with Zeus would impregnate women Achilles was born like this and all these major human beings or these semi-gods were born because the gods penetrated so that this existed and then in the Middle East you did have several other people in fact there were people in Jesus's lifetime a person by the name of Simon there were other people who there were claims about them that they were born from Virgin birth so these claims did exist in the in the narrative backdrop of that Society so it's important to understand that now okay now you fast forward to a hundred years
when the gospels are being collected and this kind of time so there is a debate and what is the debate the debate isn't about because what value does a virgin birth add to Jesus because to these people Jesus was God or this is what is coming now it's starting to develop or he's the the formation the Incarnate representation of god let's say to them a virgin birth was not in Islam people see it as a miracle see they weren't interested in Miracles as much because to them the concept of Virgin birth wasn't to do with a miracle because they because Jesus had enough miracles
the issue was in Christianity all children are born with sin so the sin is transmitted from the father right so the father in his sperm carries the sin from Adam so the question was well how could Jesus be a representation of God but have the sin so at this point the discussion emerges well actually he was born without a father then
because so as to eliminate the sin of Adam and then the mother they said well she had something called an Immaculate Conception Mary which protected her when she was born from carrying across from her father this sin and then Jesus was born without a father right so okay so this is the now this is where it emerges now okay now you fast forward it becomes commonplace and then you've got the you know you've got the nice Ian thing coming almost one to two centuries later and you've got all these Creeds coming
and now it's commonplace now and as it becomes commonplace in the centuries that follow those who oppose Christianity accuse Mary of adultery they never ever accused her in the first hundred years like within her lifetime but this is much later as Christianity is now spreading and it's being challenged and persecuted those people like you'll have Diocletian and you'll have all these major Emperors who are known uh you know very vicious against called The antichrists Who persecute uh Christians and the great persecution of Diocletian for example
these people in their times they accuse Mary they say they say she was born without he was born without a father she just committed adultery they start this this is going way after Jesus and and Mary so okay but now a few hundred years later with Islam okay so centuries a few more centuries go by and then you've got the Advent of Islam and the Quran and the Quran is not focused on this point it's more about Building Bridges between Muslims and Christians so it's not about trying to pick arguments with them it
does the main thing it does pick on is the Shirk that's it it doesn't pick on these other little things because they are not important to destroy the bridge because Islam is in the hijas it's in the Arabian peninsula in the southern Kingdom of Arabia is a Christian kingdom the northern kingdom the Middle Eastern kingdoms were Christian kingdoms to the east you had the sassanids okay but otherwise all of that the West the hassanids Bahrain all of these regions Kinder the southern Arabs were all Christian the axomites in abyssinia so
Islam was almost surrounded by Christianity apart from the assassinates but even the buffer zone to the assassinates the uh the managera or the lakhmeds were Christians so it's Islams and many of them were Arabs or if we can use that word Loosely like they would have understood Arabic so Islam's purpose was to build these Bridges now okay so as time goes by we have these verses of the Quran people in the lifetime of the Prophet don't dwell on them as much or don't debate them as much with centuries later as tafsir gets
documented what is muslim's approach to this so most Muslims they accept the The Narrative that has now been coming along in the Christian sources they say that there was a virgin birth and fine if people want to accept that that's fine they use verses in the Quran that allude to a virgin birth they don't Clearly say there was a virgin birth but they allude to it right so it says when Mary is saying that how can I have a child and I've never been touched so this verse they use to say well then she
gets pregnant so this and to be fair that makes that there is some systemic thought to that you know it does follow they say exactly so they go with this and there's nothing wrong with that and most Muslims are going to go to the world in the world today will follow that way of thinking and if that helps you in your understanding and it gives you a more a powerful understanding or a more empowered understanding and it helps your faith more power to you there's nothing wrong most Muslims actually have that and most Christians today have that so so it's that now however some Muslims
they looked at this and they said well actually this doesn't necessarily mean that because this seems to have this view seems to have developed along the way and a life you look at the other verses in the Quran is saying that we created all of you from a mother and father so that would include Jesus too if you look at another verse of the Quran Allah is saying that they say unto Allah that he had a son but yet Allah did not have a female consort so from where would he have a son meaning that if Allah was to have a son he would have followed the same laws of nature but Allah doesn't
have a son right so this refutation they saw as the biggest refutation in the Quran against the Virgin birth because Allah is saying that they claim Allah has a son but he doesn't have a wife right so to have a son you would need a husband and a wife right Allah is saying this in the Quran so this verse many these this group of um saw that actually this refutes the Virgin birth because according to Allah is refuting the Christians by using this principle because we know Allah is
all-powerful but he's using it to refute the Christians saying well no I have laws in creation and how could have I had a son if I don't have a female uh wife or a consort meaning that's how it would be if I was to have a son but I don't have a son because I don't have a consort or a wife So based that very refutation they said refutes equally the Virgin birth so some ulama and you have people in the past I've cited books you've had uh from actually the AL Hadith movement you've had mawlana
um I I've quoted um Abdul Kareem you've had his teacherati who wrote this is all way before from you know the division of India so you've got uh people that were writing on these saying that look this was the this was the understanding and they've written books on it there's a book called oyuno zamzam fimolid isabnam which argues all these points and shows this and so I would say look wherever a person whatever helps your faith it is fine these are all Muslim olama that took these positions right
they weren't it's not these people were Sikhs or Hindus or Buddhists who wrote in Islam No they at the feet of the Quran they dedicated their life to Islam they wrote on it they've got books still in print today on the on this topic on this side you've got other ulama of Islam did they not Heretics either they're not Christians or Jewish rabbis they're Muslim Scholars they're writing as well so it's all good wherever a person finds himself yeah so I'm in you know I you know I personally believe in the Virgin birth but I am indifferent to whether or not someone accepts that or not sure what I'm trying to understand
is like so for example somebody who doesn't believe in the Virgin birth and looks at these a Hadith that allude to a virgin birth like you know the likeness of Jesus is the likeness of Adam that's a beautiful verse actually because that one uh that one hits both ways right so those who say that you see because this is fascinating and those who say that this camp that didn't accept the Virgin birth use that verse as a belief for that because when they asked them they asked for Revelation they say but did Jesus not have a father
or did he have a father the answer is quite enigmatic so the answer could have been Jesus did not have a dirt this is what the verse could have been but it doesn't say that it says his similitude is like that of Adam that he was created from clay from dust and then God said be and he was now this entire verse has so many parts that so for example if you say he was like Adam but then that meant Adam also had a mum because Jesus had a mum and said no but he's not talking about the mummy someone talking about the dad says but then Jesus was created from dust so that meant sorry Adam was
created that meant Jesus was created from dust say well no it doesn't mean Dusty it means he had a natural birth but it was just a virgin say but oh if Adam was created from dust then what is the point of God saying be and he was because B and he was it's instantaneous but then before that he says no he created him from dust and then to be and he was meaning he was not first and then said B and then he was so people this whole verse is full of about four or five different interpretations to make it work like in different parts depending where you position yourself on the discourse so if you position yourself here you would say well actually this part means this and this
position yourself here you'd say well actually it's only talking about this and this means this and this is a metaphor and this so for example Adam being created from from dust so people would say oh well that's literal but then they would say well okay be any worse B and he was meant that there was no dust it would just be any worse and say well no that that part isn't you're misunderstanding it that's more about the spirit now so it's like ah but that's not what it says it's like yeah I know it's not what it says so did Adam have a mother say no but Jesus did have a mother yes so was
Jesus made out of dust no was but Adam was yeah but but ain't they meant to be the same no but that's just with reference to their dad so the answer becomes rather enigmatic so you see so this verse is actually a beautiful example of why the language of the Quran was used so dynamically and so beautifully so as not to create Dogma right yeah I think we've discussed this enough now but I I appreciate I appreciate it I really appreciate it and it's been you know being Christmas I
thought go on then no it's it's wonderful it's uh you know Islam is so clear but it's so diverse at the same time and that's one of the things I appreciate about you you show the diversity that exists within Orthodox Islam wow Allah bless you and it really the diversity is to reflect the diversity of insan of humans because we you see people who who strive for a monolithic uniformity it I mean it doesn't exist but
worry to exist the faith may have collapsed because insan is different human beings are different people around like you could get one household and the brothers and sisters and parents within that one family unit can't agree between themselves on things on life and that's just one household now you got now you have to look that's a family and now you have to look at a society and then a city and then a civilization and then a continent and then the world and it's if you can't get so you need
this this blessing of agility in the framework and Allah bless you but it was a wonderful speaker Kenneth right I'll keep you blessed stay in touch and we will speak again manatees for life all right I love that I love that all right so wow so Kenneth also a Maliki damn we should have spoken about that that would have been uh you know more allowed at all well that would have been interesting right so
where are we [Music] um right we've got other people I can't see guys some of you switch your cameras on I will bring you on live uh we've got mustard how are you doing I'm good I'm good Allah keep you blessed how are you keeping ah doing well um I was dressmus kind of not that I celebrated rated well you dress smart I see the the beard all styled up there the the kind of the
long hair the long hair looking Dapper I love let's see so what's what what thoughts or or Reflections would you just generally would you like to share something with us well I've got a question first when's the book club the book club right that is such a a good question because we need to do that you know what let's do that that was just a quote uh malikes for life there's an Echo by the way coming constantly I don't know the listeners
can hear it but I I can hear it like I can hear my own voice echoing back so um yeah but let's do the book club Let's Do It um let's do it into John and what we'll do is um yeah let me drop a message on there because we've got to move on to other interesting books as well but this was a fascinating one you know the courage not to be uh uh uh what is it the courage to be disliked or yeah so yes it's interesting and based on some adlerian thought which is quite
different so yeah let's do that okay I'm going to drop a message but I'm looking we could try and aim for maybe something maybe early into Jan maybe like towards the end of the first week or something like that we'll do that inshallah all right all right that works that works I had a sectional fee which is because seeing how both both developed and come many days in the past few past few and then then we've got friends or debating debating on I don't know it's supposed to say maybe Christmas and and it makes you feel a certain way like are
you still there mate mate but you don't want a brand ship for some for something silly like that and I understand you but then in reconcology I mean I mean how do you allow people to their path and stick stick to your guns how do you personally do it right what so if I understood that correctly that it's saying that there are people and you could take the Christmas example which you are taking saying that look there are people who may hold diametrically opposed views The Clash with your understanding of
something but how then do we move forward with some Harmony I would say that look there is right people have to understand that there this is uh there is a very detailed description in the books of usul on the topic of Truth okay and it's it's incredibly profound and with some brevity just taking briefly taking uh just exposing us to what it is it discusses the theme that
are the truths that we seek Within Islamic laws and Islamic rulings are they are they are are they unitary is there just one truth or is there multiplicity of truths so is there just truth with a capital T or are they truths with a small t if we could portray like this Frame the question like this and this Masala begins under the discussion of is every much tahit upon the truth
and then from here stems the secondary discussion is the haq is the truth many non-capitalized truths or like teas or is it just one truth with a capital T and it's fascinating to read the diverse discussions on this this there is not a single there are ulama who believe that truth will always be born there are olama like that but there are several ulaman this is not a weak position on this debate you believe there are
multiplicity of truths and you'll find many malikes amongst them as well Arabi amongst them I believe you'll find khadi Ismail if I'm correct amongst them as well but you and you'll find this transmission going back to Malik as well from some narrations now you will so this becomes interesting so it becomes interesting but it becomes scary for people so people get petrified they think oh my God if what does that mean if there's many truths there's an ultimate truth that God is one and God is truth this isn't talking
about that truth it's talking about the truths of where you are positioning yourself with regards to rulings and interpretations within Islam so it's a bit like saying look we that is there some arbitrary nature some arbitrary and arbitrary is not to be confused with random is there some arbitrary nature to a small T truth within Islam and then several of the ulama would have gone this way in saying yes and there
would be many that would say no and let me give you the example here so another part of this uh discussion this whole detailed elaborate that this this whole um for not frame but this chapter discussion within uh usul of truths and you have another stemming discussion that is the prophet himself a legislator so we all understand that the pro that Allah legislates Sharia in Arabic who gives the Sharia
but then under this heading you find the debate and the malikia actually go to the fight that the prophet is an independent Sharia independent from God and other methods disagree with the malachia and some of them disagree amongst themselves so now you think well what so okay so Allah is legislating but does the prophet have a license to legislate independently from God Sharia
now those and you'll see the Malik here many of them who say yes they will use Hadith like when the prophet is asked is there a Hajj in every year that is necessary foreign if I said yes it would become obligatory
another Hadith with the the prophet is defining the parameters of what is forbidden Haram in the Haram of uh in the Haram and you're not allowed to uproot a you're not allowed to hunt an animal or approved a tree or and whilst he's defining he says between such and such point to such and such point is a Haram this is Haram one of the companions if I recall correctly I think Abbas wrote the Allah on but one of the companions he's in real time says can you make an exception for that there was a particular tree that was
used to Iraq with this with the calf knock off with a calf that was used medicinally and in real time the prophet says I exempt a rock from it so these and you see this is where people have such a superficial sometimes understanding of Islam they don't understand the mechanics and the Deep discussions that exist in all the books of us so they need to understand and even if they reject these discussions these are the major books of us all you know you've got major sulin masary and all these
harafi and all these are not small people in Islam now even if you disagree you must respect it sure you could say I we disagree maybe people today disagree with that maybe some people don't because they don't have maybe they've not studied us all in that way and they don't follow the usual or they've never really been exposed but this is in the books of us so now these people and this is the Malik and in fact even um
highlights this discussion as well right so and the book on Malik he has a discussion on it as well so you can find it I think it's in chapter one sorry in volume one all right so now this discussion here the Malik here or many of them are seeing the profit as an independent legislator independent to Allah now that doesn't mean opposed to Allah obviously in light of the spirit but with his own license now other ulama refute that but this is a traditional debate it's not modern very and I'll tell you where it gets even
more interesting if you read some of the Share value books like Jamal and this is really fascinating because in in there there is a section where they are discussing this debate and then he says what is the truth what is soap what is the accurate way and he says why your Jews and whilst listing different varying positions that somebody could say this that the truth is only one so of is always one and whoever gets it while you're Jews and it is possible that this could be this this this this is what was revealed and this was and
he says why you choose and it is permissible that it is said to the prophet be my you rule by whatever you wish that is the accurate point whatever you rule accuracy conforms to it in Sharia this is a deep discussion I mean this is deep into the fabric the quantum fabric of the usul of sharia so it is a fascinating debate because
it's showing this arbitraryness that is based on the prophetic wisdom that is nested in the divine divinely granted nabua that the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam has and other prophets of art so now this you see so when you see all of this you realize that well it's so deep that people just don't know or they don't get it and that's fine not everybody will get the the quantum usul
the quantum mechanics of us so and it is you know spooky to people just as quantum physics is spooky to scientists or was to Einstein you know spooky stuff from a distance as Einstein said so here what I would say is that look what matters is who you follow you follow it with your Devotion to God your Allah says in the Quran
you know the meat that you're sacrificing never reaches God never the blood that is being should never reach his God but your taqwa reaches it your devotion if I and I've got a detailed video I urge everybody to watch it I it's it's called um foreign it's on meat in Islam as a case study if you Google my name and um I've forgotten what I titled it now I
think uh I may have titled it what meat is halal a case study or something like this but if you type in just meet m-e-a-t meat halal meat and um my name into YouTube will come up a detailed discussion on and I use this as a case study to show the methods so diametrically opposed from the hanafi method right to the Maliki and I should quote the references you can see the pages on the during the episode I'm citing I'm reading that we're almost nothing apart from pig is Haram on one diametrically opposed view of many of the malikia to almost everything is Haram with the exception of certain
docile uh creatures so what so where do you find yourself you know to somebody saying well eating this is not Haram eating hyena it's not Haram eating crocodile is not Haram eating tigers is not Haram somebody saying well even uh eating prawns and Squids is uh almost Hara you know so the conclusion being it's your Devotion to God like what you follow follow it like you your following is not about imposing on somebody else that
I don't I think eating prawns is Haram or next so you better not eat points they follow a different guideline follow different method according maybe they're malikes according to them maybe only pig is the only Haram Source there is in in Islam as the verse of the Quran says everything else maybe permissible you follow you are on your path that Allah that with your sincerity and devotion you approach God
your food your these things don't reach God Allah looks at your heart and he thinks and Allah looks at your heart he doesn't think Allah looks at your heart and he sees he sees the sincerity of devotion and it's fascinating that just tying in a bit to the um um uh and then I'll finish it there just as a footnote to the um the the the the arbitrary nature of certain rulings but you have the verse of the Quran which is really fascinating as well that where Allah speaks about
those who follow Isa that they they were given this and they were given this and then Allah says but this uh uh this kind of uh monasticism this becoming this kind of monks and um going away you know cutting yourself off not marrying not basically a monk this monasticism it's called it says Allah says we gave them this and we gave them this
innovated yet they did not live up to it you see now that's fascinating because if it's innovated by them Allah or to why not living up to it why is that a negative point it ought to have been that they they inv they innovated it haram or condemning
they did not give its due diligence to it you see because the question was never the act it was the devotion you guys came up with it sure but then where was your devotion you fell short you see so there is a beauty in the Quran speaks to us on in beautiful ways like these verses they if you approach it it will give you if you approach it with a fresh mind it gives you an understanding to make that that that
for your everyday to bring a new understanding of your life to the Quran your daily life it makes it part and parcel if you bring that fresh freshness to it it shows you gems that are hidden in plain sight so yeah I hope that's of some help so I would say look fundamentally doesn't don't argue Imam Malik was asked that will you this is this is a famous fatwa of Imam Malik he's he was asked that will you debate over Sunnah
help you know will you come to jadil like over we want to debate the Sunnah he said look he said I will state my peace what I like I'm happy to give you my understanding of what I think is this on that and I will leave it at that I'm not going to debate you all for it I'm not going to argue over it I'm not going to this is not the way of Islam that you know and in fact the famous thing that he said when he saw them arguing that innama that you are in a war amongst yourselves when they were arguing over these points
I hope that's of some help um it is difficult look I get it sometimes you know it's hard because we we haven't developed like that see growth in life is not just physical growth it will be emotional it will be psychological it will be spiritual we have an age with all of these we have a biological age we have an emotional age we have a psychological kind of age we have a spiritual age and they don't all correlate you know somebody could be an old man biologically and yet still a boy in his emotional maturity
they haven't or in their spiritual maturity or in their just psychological the the the the the complexity of matters and we get and we get scared sometimes when we hear things like this because it's new and and and that too reflects a beauty of their faith I commend people that sometimes they get scared when they hear something new and that's in a way that's that is a sweetness of faith that they have tasted and they don't want to lose it and that's admirable and may Allah bless them but
we have to understand that this growth is not it is part and parcel of the Journey of Faith so may Allah bless you and make things easy but asking that allowing me to share some thoughts on it and yeah we'll catch up soon you're slightly you're muted you're muted I'm sorry yeah but life in it Allah bless you must not be take care people having several malikia on here
today from all over the world all right so we've got from America from Africa doing it guys this is it the school of Medina there is I do find all my verbs are fine but I find this something always special about the school of Medina there's something about it yeah let me bring on um we will have to rap as well I don't want to go on too long but let's bring on something we've got Muji Muji is
I'm good Mochi how are you keeping I'm loving the you know the robe the relaxed atmosphere and the energy that you're already beaming Allah bless you where are you joining us from Stockholm Stockholm yes storage syndrome yeah I'm good I'm good sorry I would like to say that actually I'm doing Davao of course and I've been blocked by many extremist YouTubers they are quite afraid because uh I'm a former Apostle state if you
would like to say and I converted to them yes I became atheists yeah thank you I became atheist at 25 and then uh yeah I said Allah bless you for converting back that's because but the Journey Begins With yes because sometimes you have to face the demons yeah you have to face them because you you had these demons if I can use the word demons obviously not actual demons but I mean these thoughts and you had to face them and sometimes that that takes you to a dark place but then Allah is light and you know you found yourself
back in the light yeah and just um I want to say that uh I I didn't see myself a Muslim because I just was born in a Muslim family and because I didn't understand it so I said okay God doesn't exist after a few days think thinking because of lack of knowledge yeah alhamdulillah I wasn't judged by buhari and his followers so I could survive and I could learn and see my mistake and yeah this is one of those uh things uh evidences that bukhari is absolutely wrong that you have to kill apostate and
many other things that this extremists they are afraid of you know talking to me and one thing is that I last time I was talking to you uh brother was about shaytan and I have been asking people because I remember now I remember the discussion I think it brought a smile to my face and the happiness I was like I remember that discussion I'm filled with this warm happiness now okay I believe that shaytan is nothing but because when I converted to Islam I started to think that why Allah should create such a power okay that I don't
see him I have never heard him but he fools me and then I am going to be punished because of what he has created so I started to think and I came to this conclusion slowly slowly that no shaytan is what we have created is the system of the Jungle that the strongest one get the most the biggest one get the little or nothing and everybody do every bad teach because they want to become richer and richer so I have been asking people and most people cannot answer that if shaytan is the one who fool people okay imagine that there is a diamond 20
million dollars diamond in your home and everybody would like to come not everybody but millions that would be amazing if I discovered that my life would change but I just said millions of people would like to not be saying things like what color is your Bugatti yeah I just would like to say that there will be millions of people who would like to come to buy a ticket come there and steal that diamond even if to harm you you know they put their freedom in you know danger and all these guys yeah yes yes so
but that's why shaytan you know fooled them say oh God there is a time but imagine that shaytan doesn't exist okay do still people want to come and steal that diamond or not I say definitely they want because there are millions of people who want to become rich yeah but imagine that capitalism doesn't exist then diamonds costs zero dollar is just a stone and a shaytan exist but and talk to these people say go and steal that diamond okay people say are you crazy why I have to go and steal this piece of stone
which is zero dollar so you see here that the power of shaytan if shaytan exists in that form the power of shaytan is nothing but money okay that encourages people like farmers of Afghanistan they produce 90 of the word opium because it gives them more money than you know than uh than uh tomatoes and potatoes often it's often cha-ching yeah but in Sweden that I'm living most farmers are atheists but they don't produce any drugs because and they are well off the government and take care of
them okay so they don't need very much but this is what makes people so I say that why shaytan is more strong in Afghanistan despite their Muslims but weak in Sweden it is the system that makes people you know I say for example system yeah okay yeah just one more example is that I'm originally Iranian 43 years ago one dollar was seven Persian uh you know currency two Mark okay my father was getting like 500 per month he could buy a house he could buy a car and so on the
average salary was five five hundred dollars okay and they were bad Deeds you know drugs persecution all about it but after the Revolution and because Quran says shaytan spread poverty among you and lead you to morality okay so after the revolution now one dollar is over 40 000 Persian you know currency 40 000 from seven to forty thousand average salary is kind of 75 and poverty has increased a lot thousand you know a thousand times more so what happened shaytan became more strong or a more
satanic system to the power so I say more Satani took the power so Satan is nothing but the system you that guide people to all bad meets so and and according Quran an understanding that one day shaytan will disappear because Allah talked to shaytan and shaytan says give me time until theama but Allah in two chapters he said okay you have time he doesn't say Hollow into other chapters Allah says that you have time but until a certain time so some Scholars that I
also know them and follow them say that that is when Mahdi will come okay of course I don't believe myself that Matthew will come because I believe that we are all Native we have gotten the message we have to spread it Allah is not going to take us out of this jungle we are living in we all have to kind of do it ourselves I think yeah you know I think yeah yeah if we if we some that on that note because just because I was saying even before you came on and before the previous guest that look I've got to kind of just do very rapidly because
I've run out of time uh so okay that's very interesting and you know more than anything uh Muji if I could just say um your your impassioned concern you know it's uh it's highly admirable and you know you you have this concern that comes right through the screen I mean it comes this this you know it's keeping you awake at night a lot you know this this whole thing about the this shaytan however you understand the shaytanic system to be let's say the the um you know whether it's going to be the the structures of power that exist
economic power but whatever it be it's concerned it's it's affected due to the extent that you're awake at this hour concerned but you know that that brings a smile uh in a pleasant way to our face it brings Joy Allah bless you thank you very much look at that keep your way smiling I mean and we'll what we'll do is we'll uh yeah and we'll catch up all right just I would like to say as well that uh and I do debates uh I don't know if you know uh my channel is the last uh the perfect hour and I have been doing debate which are many people on a modern
day debate like opposite prophet and baby food and actually um as soon as I saw you I I saw this I saw like this debater yeah this this whole Persona this energy because I believe that yes I believe that uh yeah I saw the Gown I knew that this is you're a debater yeah nobody else would dare come in front of
yeah I I just would like to say I believe that a a god that is most powerful uh and knowing should have a guidance to guide us out of our problems all these problems that we are facing on this planet otherwise uh of course you know better Allah Allah Allah will Allah will look and to start off with you've been inspired it's a start isn't it and from you this this light this this from this fire this fire is going to spread and spread and burn everything there I mean it's going to give light to everything and everything's going to
become enlightened I mean I mean yeah my brother take care I love this season have an awesome evening wherever you are salaam alaikum people that was Muji a very interesting conversation I like it I like the passion yeah right so who do we have here we've got uh Lucy wind Jones all right assalamu alaikum Lucy it's very broadcasting with you can you hear me I can indeed you've got the gamer headset there you are look at that programming away
Welsh computer programmer people correspondent right here a lot yeah I wrote down a list of topics to discuss and I've struggled to come up with one specifically to talk about okay okay if we we will keep it slightly brief though if that's okay because just because of time constraints and then there's one two other people waiting and so then we'll wrap up but yeah okay yeah but for me when I was deciding which topic to talk about I've decided to talk about the issue of um what's called toxic masculinity like the likes of Gabriella Romani Daniel huckling could you and their like on
YouTube like this year I've been not not that I agree with their opinions that I'm about to present but Daniel huckley could you was having a debate with an uh with the sheikhar or an Alima about this is a female Muslim scholar who and he was debating on the issue of female education education right okay so I haven't watched it but I saw some people were sharing I think tweets or something by Daniel speaking about I saw this one tweet which I don't you see I don't know whether was just somebody had made it and Photoshopped it and or that he'd
actually said it I don't know but it said something like if you and maybe it's photoshopped I don't know because people do that so I I haven't looked into it so but it said it was from uh what Daniel hakikachu saying if you facilitate for your women to go to university that that is the natural progression for them to have uh within a decade and only fans Channel uh something like this I don't know what an only fans channel is it sounds like something embarrassing Allah bless you neither did I know this is the problem I didn't know I thought yeah what what are
these things yeah well I had to ask a few people that so it is basically it's a pornographic channel uh that people have that they uh charge so it's like charged kind of pornography where people are charging clients to view them and they're making let's say money based on that now I thought that was such a Preposterous tweet I thought to myself that is this for real did did he really say this or is it but I don't know because I saw it and I haven't investigated it I don't think Daniel hockey could you directly said that but he was saying words along
the lines but this was written no it was what I saw was like a tweet with his but it could have been you're right it could have just been photoshopped and somebody just put it on there and shared it and it's gone viral um nevertheless I yeah right yeah sorry you're saying yeah he was arguing that against females going to University because he thought that oh I wonder if he goes to University she'll want to marry up the hierarchy and she wouldn't marry what's called a guy below her as in a guy without a degree can you hear me sorry yes I can I'm sorry I was just seeing if I could see that uh tweet thing
um yeah I am a well like on Twitter there is a load of fake news like you need to yeah that's what it could very much be so I I want to be uh just clear on that I don't want um so this was uh so this was it I guess it's reversed I guess you won't be able to really see oh I can read it a bit oh yeah that looks like I think he's I said that as a joke that's on his telegram Channel but I know like I said so somebody had said that if you say yes to college for women you are essentially saying yes to your granddaughter on only fans the college
to only fund societal pipeline is just a mere matter of decades so I don't know it could be you know it's it says edited it could be fake uh it is possible to edit things using HTML I could do a I and I could do a demonstration of how that's possible but what is possible to do is using the inspector I need to learn programming by the way I know I did say I was interested in getting uh my daughter's uh especially Layla on to some basic programming if I could but I was thinking yeah you know I wouldn't mind but yeah you could speak about that another time but yes yeah yeah but it's
just like it's possible using HTML and just a basic web browser to edit a screenshot and trick people that something's on there that's not and okay somebody said Flex with a folding phone Samsung better so I know sponsor my my streams so because it's possible to edit a screenshot I cannot verify 100 certain that Daniel huckley could do actually actually said that but I hope that if you did say that he meant that as a silly joke and I would quite frankly say like um I've I've um well I know like on the issue of him
being against female education or females going to University that's probably a specific problem in the United States where you've got you've got all sorts of like yaomi Park who came from North Korea has compared American universities to the North Korean educational system albeit they tend to talk about different topics than the North Korean regime which is just I mean sure but so as to keep it within some constraints just due to the time parameters um I I haven't watched this debate of his on uh female education but I'm somewhat familiar with his General
Persona towards um women and women becoming educated I don't know you know somebody said it really well here that look I don't get here's the comment let me just bring it up Alex saying right sorry Alex I don't get other men who are so threatened with women being educated I generally don't understand I I recommend you for saying that because that there's no I don't see why people feel threatened like why do they feel because there must be something deep down
that is bothering people you know to but then you know then again so first of all before uh my my kind of main point I want to State I would just say if Daniel hakikachu does get to hear this um I would love for Daniel hakikachu to have a to be a guest on Minecraft and I would love to have a discussion with you so if you do hear this uh uh Daniel please do accept my invite get in touch
with me I will be respectful I will not be I've never you can watch any of my mind traps now we're approaching 70. I've never been rude to a guest and you will be my guest okay so um what I would like to have these discussions um you know they will be um these discussions need to I would like to see your responses hear them and then be able to to to to to have a conversation to conversate with you about them so yeah so that's okay put that out there now the the seminal point that I wanted to state was that look I feel
Daniel is not the problem because and I'm serious because and I I feel that I've in time mature like there's been some growth to this um realization yeah and it comes with that more in a Stillness and calmness as well I feel that the people like him as well are not the problem the problem is the people that are following him and you see because you would think that in this day and age people that are following him are
actually mainly Americans they are mainly people born and raised in or in the West they are not somebody following him from I mean he may have an odd person or two from the other parts of the world but I I'm pretty sure most the substantial part of his following is people that are Western so it is supply and demand you see that it's the the Organics the organicity of the market so to speak that he there is a demand for this and then he's just supplying it he's if
people who would you ever believe that somebody in the west a uh a PhD graduate I think he's a PhD graduate isn't he right so a PhD I think he is I'm pretty sure is he not he is a Harvard graduate I don't or is he just a Harvard graduate okay he may not be PhD sixth degree and I am aware like physics yeah yeah Physics degree from Harvard University okay I had no idea I would never have assumed physics I am aware like physics people who are experts in physics tend to have what is called a systemizing brain so they tend to like to notice patterns they tend to they tend to not
be very people-orientated whereas people who go into the psychology profession like yourself tend to be a bit more people orientated right so you can find that it is true often that a lot of these people have certain personas at least online that appear maybe somewhat more along the Spectrum than others and they they can appear maybe maybe not they don't maybe not anti-social but asocial to some extent or less as in they may be people who are slightly or strike higher on
introvertedness and they are people who are uh less uh strike you know they would be lower on metrics of openness and higher unconscientiousness and on neuroticism they will score quite high as well so okay look but the point is I don't think he is honestly I I genuinely don't feel he is the problem I feel that it's surprising that you that there is a demand to hear this stuff that that needs to be that's where the etiology the pathology needs to be explored because these are people men probably women amongst them
surprisingly I wouldn't be surprised that there's women amongst them as well who are educated to some extent in the western Paradigm have grown up and choose to to to kind of Pro bring that supply that demand to him so he can supply so yeah I think the problem lies within us as a people yeah as a collective of myself it doesn't lie with what we could draw yeah one argument I would suggest to counter his point is that um the Quran encourages us to seek knowledge in general like for both males and females and also the daughters of
tribe who were at the well and Musa alaihissalam noticed them helped them and they were working women who were financially independent albeit they might have not had a load of money but they had assets in the form of their flocks they were probably trading between Egypt and across trade routes so Allah knows what they were doing I actually would say that yeah but look I can't understand anybody who's against education I do I can understand critiquing the educational system I myself critique it I do feel that a lot of a lot of the educational system
especially at uh at a higher level further education uh can be redundant to a great degree some of it can so you can find that it's it's just it's a self-fulfilling purpose and it just makes money it doesn't a lot of these degrees are simply uh can be quite meaningless not all degrees but there's many degrees that are just meaningless like having a degree in that doesn't you just leave University with the debt and you you don't have a job and you just if you want to get a job you just you're at the bottom of the ladder and I don't mean the elite professions like you know
certain the stem fields or or whether it's going to be medicine or law or Dentistry or those things people are going into a very those are a niche market you loads of people you know they're studying like somebody might be studying I don't know they're just getting a degree in business admin or they're just getting a degree in uh in some kind now you get all kinds of degrees you just go online in colleges and universities and I do feel that many of these are as a person I feel that they they are a waste of time and I do feel that they do uh all they do is they just the
student if that student took those same three years and he took or she took one year let's say you took one year and if not even one year six months because you're gonna have a debt anyway six months they travel the world yeah in six months I don't mean in luxury like living in a hotel but I mean actually face to face with people real people real culture they when they come back they would have mentally and emotionally aged so much more yeah and then if they use the next one to two years to start some business startups
um or if they don't want to do that then nowadays you have these things uh these uh apprenticeship decrees where you like software and coding that you can support company get them to fund your degree they pay you a salary once you study and you have a guaranteed job and you become a software engineer or whatever it is yeah that sounds epic that sounds epic more profound traveling the world doing business startups let them fail let them start but the other you know just just going in to do a sloppy degree that isn't headed anywhere and you're going to leave with 30 000
pounds of debt as a student unemployed so yes that's a different argument if that's the argument people like Daniel looking at you are making I I would agree with that I see sense in that but I fear that these arguments that they're making is more from the perspective of well a woman is just going to marry a man and well the man will provide so what why does a woman need to study and work and um I think this argument precisely and sometimes sometimes women ends up divorced they end up widowed and all sorts of something I would like to attend children I would like to bring
transpendence I would like to bring my daughters up with the understanding first of all I'd like to bring them up I hope you know if Allah enables me to to do so and with I don't know with some wisdom to be able to do it um because I would like to bring them up first of all to generally to to be a source of positivity and love and compassion for the world that to try to always be a source of goodness yeah not to be bitter not to be people that hate on people or not to be those kind of the people who carry negative energies within them they're always negative and
moaning and always and secondly I would like to bring them up with the fact that sure look at some point in their lives they will meet someone and they will you know they will settle down let's say and in a relationship and do that but they and that inshallah will happen let's say with you know in a way with the divine plan and Allah's Mercy in a in a peaceful harmonious way however your life shouldn't be driven by that like that it should be about you you're a person in this world you are here to be a source of good to
self-actualize Sure along the way you'll meet someone and maybe you will maybe along the way you'll always keep changing plans because sometimes you see I I maybe I need to get to that point to be able to see further from that point and make a difference uh a route so but you shouldn't I don't think girls need to be uh brought up with this understanding that my whole life needs to depend on a man to come and save me or to to to provide for me look sure if the man provides for I personally I'm of an understanding this is my personal understanding I do adhere to
the fact that uh given you know so long as I always can I as a man would always provide uh I would not want a woman to to pay for me to do stuff just not out of like a oh my God they can't but I would just personally as a person I would always uh want to do that you know so long as Allah allows it and that's a personal thing but I wouldn't want see so sure if it happens let's say I can speak for my own daughters let's say they grow up and some man wants to pay for everything for them that they're you know that they settle down with if it happens like that it happens however that's not what your vision should be
that I need to grow up and some mind needs to come and save me and you should always have your own you are on your path in life and sure it may join with someone along the way and may Allah but it should never be about I'm just I'm just like a burden on someone like I just need to be like somebody needs to always cater for me somebody always needs to provide if they do it that's wonderful if they don't do it they don't need to do it there's many couples today who who do it you know there's division of everything
they share in the bills they share in uh and and that's fine if they do that I I did say some people don't want to do that just out of their personal preference and they like to to kind of uh and that's that's also from a a goodness but if it happens this way it happens this way if it happens that way but you don't need to be this you're not an extra in this story yeah you know like oh I'm just here to you'll hear as as an Irreplaceable person of God some of Daniel huckley could use arguments about women if they he
probably ignores the fact that some women are infertile and some men are infertile and not every woman will necessarily bear a child so he's coming at it from the Paradigm of all women will bear children and and I I get the impression that he's probably quite a Broody guy even though even though like I don't think he because his wife doesn't work and stuff he's probably not capable of having loads of a big clan or loads of children I don't know anything about his personal life yeah I mean I think you know leaving his personal life alone I think that's irrelevant or immaterial to the discourse because the
point is an idea he's saying and the idea should be taking a look at and then deconstructed and said well okay somebody here made a point that and I think you know just to steal mine his point they said he seems to be that women shouldn't get educated education because otherwise they won't be able to get married easily now okay uh right so okay now to be fair there is an interesting point here which I don't feel they're mutually exclusive but I do feel that there is a point where some women do delay marriage uh until there's this this this kind of uh
that this this Milestone they have in their mind that it could be like first of all I need to finish my bachelor's okay undergrad then I need to finish a masters okay now I need to get a job okay now I need to finish my training here in the job okay now I'm a bit more stable so now sure what look what I would say is what what a person does with their life it's their life they have to live it Allah has given them full capacity you do it my thoughts on the matter my thoughts on the matter are these and you don't need to take them but my thoughts on the matter are if you do find someone that you find a harmony with that you see a love being reflected
and a maturity and a stability they're not unstable people and a goodness then you know as the Hadith says is the character of him or her it pleases you that there is this source of Love source of goodness then I would say marry like don't feel like if you feel that don't feel that don't put these things off to I need to be a second year post-trainee in my job because it is true Society can be a bit cruel if you keep pushing these things off and you reach an age
I'm not saying it's fair it's not fair but it is true that many people do uh judge unfortunately and they do place a value because women have a biological clock and people do play values and I'm not saying they rightly do it so but they do it it's the jungle we live in and and more than that even it's just a shame that if a person forewent uh this amazing blessing that they had of a beautiful relationship that could have been just in its prime and in its kind of youthfulness of love that they could have had this relationship but they let
it go because they thought you know no I need to all over risk like I need to First be working I need to First have a masters I need to so if that's a point I feel that's a point that I actually do share that I feel that if something unfolds and you're at Uni or you are but I don't think these are mutually exclusive I think you can get married whilst a person is studying they can get and in fact according to let's say Daniel choose proposition they certainly can because the man will be working and providing anyway so she can be studying in fact it can pay all their student loan if he wanted if he wants to pay extra he
can pay my loans as well I'll do another degree as well you know I've got a friend who's a bit older than yourself and she's doing a PhD and her husband's funding her PhD of Charlotte no I I I'm not saying people don't do it I was just being satirical uh I was just saying well according to that proposition there's no contradiction because even if she's in uni and there's a proposal for marriage she can get married and since the husband according to that narrative is the one who always provides she doesn't need to be working she can be studying so yeah so yeah it's actually good that we that point was made that's
actually a very good you know so it's just like I think it's important for women in some circumstances to be financially independent because of divorce no of course and and here's something I'd like to stress if you are married right if you as a woman uh right if okay because I'm not there's a whole different discussion now's not the time to have it this whole thing of you have registered marriages and stuff and I I don't know how much of an advocate I am of stuff like this because that's a whole different discussion is political because I don't feel that if a relationship breaks down people need a
government's approval um and neither do I believe they need to take two years for a relationship to be over to drag out in court for two two and a half years but that's a different discussion but that said if you are married and you are a woman always always if you can have your independent Financial project if we can call it running even if it's gradual like you do your savings try to do your Investments with time if you can and even if you you know you get a job part time maybe you know you don't want to work maybe you only want to work part-time maybe you work full-time
whatever you do but have your little things going because it's true you know in this day and age now the relationships are you should never never see yours always look Allah has given you you he has given you everything you need so seek his risk it is all around you and even if your husband's paying you husband says look you know what I'm going to pay all your bills I'm going to pay you this mortgage I'm going to pay this fine you do your thing and do your saving so God yeah so yeah and it's this isn't in a way that you're seeing it as oh what if he leaves me it's not it's not about thinking negative but it's about thinking
actually positive and saying look I'm also in my own way I'm independent as well financially that if I ever need to be I you know I've got my own source of money as well we'll have to wrap this up Lucy it's been wonderful speaking but we've really gone on quite a bit um yeah so and I did want to add a note I did want to add a note actually I forgot I wanted to say earlier on it's just as a footnote I personally as a person do disagree with the term uh although I agree with all these things I do disagree with the term toxic masculinity I do feel that I do understand it when people say uh and
what they mean by it like they mean people you know these men who are bigoted and uh very kind of anti-women and they hate on women and stuff like this but I do feel at the time at the same time that uh that I feel that you know masculinity is beautiful as well and I feel that it is something that is not part of the natural order and sometimes when these words get so Associated it forces people into a false dichotomy because then they start thinking oh toxic masculinity is associated with being toxic but it's not just as femininity is beautiful masculinity is its counterpart and equally beautiful on
the other diametrically you know on the other end of the spectrum so I just want to put that in as if I want to say earlier on and I've forgot and I just remember it but yeah it's been I also think like femininity can can get toxic as well like if a woman is constantly playing I think you know what I think that's not toxic femininity or toxic masculinity I think that's as toxic some toxic men and some toxic women uh yeah I mean that's how I would from obviously I'm not everybody to their own but I was just a footnote right have an awesome evening we'll catch up uh Lucy salaam alaikum people uh what an interesting
discussion there right Lucy windjones um sharing her thoughts guys I've got Fahad and then let's wrap this up we've got Fahad Alam all the way from Down Under awesome how are you here good look at that Australian accent I haven't actually spoken to you for a while um mainly because I'm in the office whenever you do these things I'm always in the office but thank God for Boxing Day eh you know something you know something for her we spoke a while back around on the phone yeah you said to me
you said to me that it almost I used to do these meetups even if you periodically done one it would be nice and you know today I thought it's it's Christmas and not much is happening actually with many Muslims and exactly everything is shut everything is shut I mean I struggle to find a gym and I just about squeezed in a little gym session um and I thought let's it'll be nice let's have a me and as I thought this I actually remembered your uh words where you said yeah even if it's an odd one because it allows certain people to jump on and uh and I actually remembered your words when you said it and I thought
yeah let's do it so wow that's kind of come full circle I thought of that I did it and here you were thank you for wrapping up I love much love okay so Mufti just a quick one mate just a quick one um how long do I have good day mate maybe of course mate five to ten minutes I've just got some really small short short answer questions if that's all right it's just like got a list no no it's very small trust me right okay let's see okay some of them go let's see let's see okay um so I'll start off with the first one if you don't mind um this is a common question I get from my non-muslim mates um that I interested to learn about
Islam and stuff just with the four wives you know how a Muslim can apparently marry like up to four wives um how do you reconcile this they're telling me look this is unfair on the women if you don't ask them for permission and just marry you know willingly marry like multiple wives that's not fair but so I started to sort of ask you from your point of view because I've seen like other YouTube clips like Zaki and Nike and whatnot they're they reckon um yeah you don't need um the First Wives uh permission and you can just sort of marry willy-nilly and I'm thinking no there must be an alternative narrative to this so may I have your thoughts on this I mean sure there is an alternate narrative I mean there are there is a narrative that
um commission is needed and there is a narrative that it's not so much about permission but it's more about the the order of things so so I mean both narratives do exist within the Islamic framework it's not to say there's only one narrative that that nobody you never and you must not ever take permission that's not the narrative um so there is that that you must take permission that narrative does exist equally does the other narrative that it's not about the permission but it's more about does the relationship work in the sense that so
the order of things so for example if a person uh like how would it actually work like this is what they like how does this order of things actually work and this is a fascinating discussion because really I feel that I feel in many ways this discussion is ironically uh even though it's classical I feel in many ways it's way ahead of our times because I do feel that in this uh post-modern um very recent um uh
stage that we find ourselves uh right there is people are forgetting the fundamental nature of things and they're trying to draw more and more away from the order of Nature and they've like we as human beings are now yeah as if like on one hand they accept that we are simply a continuation of nature but on the other hand they will say that oh but we're not now you know they should be uh in fact we should get rid of gender we should get rid of uh sexuality we should get
rid of um everything like in fact more a human into an asexual even if you're sexual but apparently asexual entity and but that's not just that's generally speaking as far as creation or creatures are concerned and especially mammalian biology uh that we are an extension of that is not the natural order of things so you have to remember we're not actually that far along in our Evolution like if you think human beings this whole um understanding of monogamy the way it's now presented in the highly a
romanticized way oh this is just a couple of decades old it doesn't even exceed that it does not exceed a couple of decades so so we really like maybe the birth of this whole modern Ultra Modern highly romanticized monogamy has happened in my parents Lifetime and and I'm kind of born in this this would not have even existed in my grandparents uh lifetime let alone in history and
then the mammalian biology so so right okay so now we you know it's one of those Houston we have a problem that this is because people are ignoring ironically they're ignoring an element of science which is so weird because everything's meant to be scientific that you see as far as the mammalian kingdom is concerned males for the most part are polygamous by Nature now a female monogamous by Nature now that really I I find it difficult to believe that human beings have somehow
uh strayed so far from that mammalian uh genetics we haven't and and the proof is in the pudding this is why people are cheating yeah you see it's not it it doesn't this is why relationships are breaking down within uh now what probably three years they break down the average so it's not because it's it's because we are in essence in denial of our art of the true DNA that has coded us like it's as if we just deny that we're like oh no but that's not us
it's like well okay well let's see if it's not us because okay maybe some people there may be some people that it doesn't you know they manage to abide by that it may be so but for the vast majority of humanity I don't think the majority of people will about will be able to abide by it it's like you get people going vegan and this isn't a trigger vegans but look our very the fact that we have incisive teeth and we have been made this way it is that it is very sure like you may
say well you know such a such person is vegan and fine and that's more power to them but most of humanity will be difficult to take them away from from eating meat because we ultimately are still animals and you may say well you know but we're civilized animals true but we're still animals and so yeah so now that okay now this is a problem then well how does this play out in this modern tightly knitted structure which we call society today with the modern Paradigm and then that's you know anybody's guess is as good as mine because it's it's chaotic how does it play out then it's made me
doomed those who do it are doomed those who don't do it are doomed you know it's like everything's just a mishmash because it just doesn't work and I guess it doesn't work if you try it it doesn't work if you don't drive it's like it's just you can do that if you don't yeah but I exactly I agree and I also accept the fact that it's in many ways it's just a headache because people well you know one marriage is a headache and it's like well because let's be honest like that the modern understanding of relationships is a headache it's a blessing but a huge part of it is it's just the persistent it's the perpetuity of the mundane you know you just have this mundane and then this constant
exposure to one another desensitizes you to one another and then you see it becomes a very this is why the Hadith say that oh really the best relationship so we don't see each other all the time an ideal relationship where people still live just on their own but then also maybe live together at certain times because the Hadith says that you see each other with a gap you will increase in love but this modern paradigm I get it then Society is structured that way economics is structured because how would you sustain a household without you know so the whole thing is made and then what happens is just this constant
humdrum which okay in the best case scenario may just be neutral it's not negative but it's neutral with some positive with maybe moments of positivity and a structure and which you get meaning from I'm not saying you don't get meaning from it you have a family and it gives you meaning and you have children and and that's very important but that's all it does but there's this you become so desensitized so the amount of people I've spoken to you know that will have consultations with me that will say that you know oh uh and they'll say I'll be embarrassed to say this and many Muslims use this uh analogy they say it's like as if my wife or my husband depends who's saying it
that is like it's like I'm living with my brother or it's like my sister and you know at first I used to find this analogy bizarre and I used to think that why on Earth would they even know because it's obviously you know they're telling me let's say and obviously you know this is anonymous so you don't know who it is and so it's it's safe like they feel that okay and they say they won't say in public to people but they'll say they'll say you know it's like he's like my brother uh and if I be honest with you and at first I found this bizarre like and I then I tried to psychologize it that why do they Define
um their spouse as their brother or sister and and then it dawned on me with time you see because in you see check this out that especially within Muslims more so because of the cultural elements that a woman especially a woman right because it's true that men are visually very sexual like they they visualize they're visual creatures when it comes to the sexual satiety and you know the appetite so the glance is obviously we've got other I've got videos on that discussing the glance and the power of the glance
yeah now a woman as she grows and comes of age in Life or even especially okay maybe not as a little girl but as she's growing and becoming older and she finds that men even if they're friends they will always they will there will be this kind of almost this kind of analyzing of her sexually now that that with this scanning this sexual scanning now maybe they get and this comes back to the question can men and women just be friends and you know it's one of those that I I feel
that it's very difficult for them to just be platonic friends unless there's zero sexual or in the words of nature unless there's uh sexual antipathy like there's no uh now they can be friends and but the truth is like let's say the guy would have in most cases I believe like maybe 98 out of 100 he would have scanned her sexually and maybe he thinks look nothing's going to happen so I'll just be a friend and they're just friends or maybe he doesn't he's not even thinking of the sexual thing like but it's happened by default so and if women don't believe this all they you know like in that experiment they say well go
on then like on several of these experiments they say have you got a friend like yeah go on then I dare you to ask him that you know what actually let's hook up and see if he accepts it and not 98 out of 100 men will be if if that friend offers it and there's some sexual they will accept it so it goes to show it was always in the background but maybe they just got so they they got so desensitized to the regular thing that they just became friends now okay with this in mind a girl grows up she always recognized women know when men kind of look at them with that
sexual like they look at them and even if nothing's gonna happen but they they know it because it you know they've been created that way they have that intuition the only time a woman in life ever feels unconditional love let's say and it's completely devoid of any sexual element will only be from a the father or be from a brother they every other man there may be an element in the equation
of sexual attraction of a sexual energy so the only time a woman ever feels that there's there's a relationship and there's never there's never and it's neither way it's not just it's not in her mind it's not in his mind either that's from the father firstly but he's much older than the daughter of when it comes to a similar age the brother if she has a brother now this it dawned on me that this is why that after so much desensitization they start to see the spouse which now
because they're so desensitized and the sexual thing has kind of dissipated the the energy and now it's like they're not even interested in each other sexually so that energy should only ever felt but they still have a care for each other they still care for each other they still wanna they'll always if they were hurt or ill they would be worried and concerned and they want to help each other and they have love for each other still but it's all of a sudden it doesn't have sexuality in it so they seem to be making a reference to an earlier stage where they experience that in life and that was with a sibling so
that was my psychologizing of that I digress thank you in this psychology session but you know what I think we've kind of discussed way too much so we're gonna have to wrap it I think yeah just one more question if that's okay one last one then yeah um this is a while ago this is a really important one this was a while ago I think you've got this as part of one of your sort of mini clips from a couple of years ago I think um someone was asking you about like the differences between the author three and the Usher recruit and you mentioned that you're sort of inlined a bit more with philosophers as
opposed to the usheris or you know like you're more in line with the philosophers um can you just give us a quick um or the like a comparison between the usheri theologians and the philosophers I didn't quite get that if that makes sense yeah so you see so if you take Sunni Islam yes the broadest capacity and you divide it you will find for the most part people are ashari yeah and then you will have the humblies who nowadays are called athari um but basically we're called humbly
and then you would find philosophers now oh sorry put philosophers with this end so you've got philosophers because they're diametrically opposed right so now not everybody agrees all of these people are part of sunnis so they may say Well they're all cafes they may say Well they're all Cafe they may say well okay this one isn't but that one is kafir they may say that one isn't but this one is careful so yeah there's all of that and there's some people who are encompassing encompassing of all and some who reject them all I would be all encompassing and saying look all of these people are part of Sunni Islam
um we're generally Muslims would find themselves is within the ashari maturity uh Spectrum that's where I would find myself as well uh I would generally if people ask me I would say yeah I am ashadi uh if people ask by default Yeah by default but I would generally fit within the the kind of framework however I wouldn't be blindly following okay so my point is that there would be certain issues uh where let's say certain philosophers have raised certain concerns about some ashari viewpoints um and I I would look at those and think
well yeah actually what they're saying makes sense so on that I would think yeah that actually makes sense so so basically in a nutshell my Creed is and my faith is built upon on the sacred and upon uh Creed but also upon reason it is nested in reason so the philosophers are really really just people who were championing always the voice of reason so it's not that usually these philosophers not all but many of them were from the Sunni Paradigm anyway from the I mean from the ashari Paradigm that
then become philosophers yeah and therefore they're just more daring to challenge certain Frontiers or questions that let's say because within uh Creed often it um it solidifies as Dogma so then the theologians that they may have some elasticity to them are theologians they they do have some elasticity they do discuss certain things and debate them and have some flexibility but then they also parameterize it and the philosophers sometimes will check their blind spots and say well
actually that thing you guys said didn't make sense it doesn't mean they refute the whole of the ashari thing just one two things like so for example the ashari uh is like as an example the asharis make a claim about the attributes and I think the humblees just may either agree with them or just refuse to even because isn't that isn't as developed as the ashari maturity is so there's this discussion that the attributes of God are neither God nor distinct from God now all right so that's just a meaningless tautology
it doesn't actually it's what we call a tautology and it's meaningless it doesn't actually like you don't you can hear my words but you're not understanding anything I'm saying so now that's a key Point like let's say the philosophers like ibrahush who's a Maliki yeah I do follow now he for example this is a point where I'm with him like he obviously challenges and takes this whole argument dissects it and just shows that it's a a tautology which is it's it's quite it doesn't yield any result and it doesn't even yield any meaning so yeah so that's an example but look I would say
this stuff is technical stuff this is like the engineering of Akida don't worry about these things sure be a Muslim you just a basic belief as the Hadith said you believe in Allah you know you believe in Revelation you believe that Allah is in control of things that he's all-powerful and you believe that life doesn't end with death and that's it you are you are a Muslim now if you decide to study theology then it's you're on a journey that will span many years and fine if you want to study philosophy study if you want to study psychology study if you wanna but for
the common person they sure maybe they learn a pointer here like they might learn what Freud said and he did this or what does lakan say or what does behaviorism say maybe they heard something but they don't need to be like preoccupied by these uh theories because they're not really studying it yeah the only reason why I asked you this um I'm sorry if I have to mention this on your live stream but um The Bradford maulana's were having a bit of a back and forth with the with the Snow White and um and um sergeant liffem and um I have
look I have honestly I have before in a video said that I although I did before but it's not right really to be calling them names and I did say look I I have done that before and obviously I'd and I did it at a time when they were also criticizing me and I did it at a time when they attacked me first and called me things like an apostate and a car fear in the eyes of God and all of this and as a reaction I also did that you know they haven't done anything like that right now they're not saying anything and I think it's unfair that we kind of fair enough yeah I apologize for that no but thank you for clarifying
that and um just one request before I go and leave you to it your next Mind Trap guest would it be possible to maybe ask Dr either Dr shabir Ali or Sheikh atterbeck to perhaps return or is that kind of too hard for them to come back no I can ask them let's see if they take it up I've I've asked them on and off whenever we do let's say we end up having some I don't know if I whenever I do remember sometimes I I have dropped sheikhatabik a few messages over I think earlier this year or um but they're busy people but it'll okay yeah like you know obviously I'm
but but to be fair they have expressed a keenness they've said look even Dr shabir Ali they've said look they really you know they're interested in doing another discussion it's just time they're really busy people they are involved in a lot going on and and they're meaningful people you know who are doing good work so yeah I would love to get them on I think you know let's yeah let's do it if we can inshallah no um that's what I say um thank you very much for allowing me to come on your live stream yeah no you're welcome man you have a awesome time Fahad and we'll speak soon people that was Farhad Island all the
way from Australia wow now I'm wrapping this up guys it's been awesome really enjoyed the Meetup great discussions um you know just fascinating just meeting people and talking from different parts of the world we had uh a guest from from America from Florida then a guest from I guess from Africa [Music] and then from Wales and then now Australia and so it's it's been you know it's it's just amazing connecting with
people I mean so let's this year is coming to an end and to wrap this I want to say that look let's let's really try you know we've got a long way to go and I could speak for myself got a long way to grow and it's a journey man and you know we let's you know in in finding this and then moving along this path to find God or to be connected to the grace of God
we have to extend Grace compassion and love onto God's people all around us we have to not be judgmental we have to um not carry hate for people and if we do we have to let that go it's consuming our soul just let it go you know Allah Breathe It Out Allah Allah and honestly Our Lives we we feel that Grace
we will feel it and we if we can help people in the littlest of ways Maybe you know sometimes when we think of help people think of uh helping somebody in maybe something astronomical and sure that's huge or helping somebody in something economical or financial and sure that's great or helping somebody with something physical and sure that's great but even just simple acts of kindness even just smiling you know you smile and the whole world smiles at you why because smiling is contagious you're spreading a smile and Sunnah and
it's and you know you you might smile at someone and they might smile and for all you know that was probably the first time they smiled today you know and and look at that it's a little light that you just it may be dim but you know in the words of Charles Bukowski it sure beats the darkness but that's yeah and it doesn't matter who we were before it doesn't matter you know where we were months ago weeks ago years ago like this this point uh we made just
right now with Fahad about saying oh let's disputes we may have had in the past maybe we carried negativities towards people we carried ill feelings you know what we would we're harming ourselves it doesn't it's like drinking poison expecting the other person to suffer absurdity so yeah try to you know what try to make Dua for people sometimes people will annoy you they will you know they'll be they'll trigger you
get your own you know get Space move away breathe always breathe see aside try to see a side that these people are also that people who may trigger are also actually they're not an epitome of evil you know they also people that have so many great and good attributes about them but we don't want to see it we don't want to see it and maybe understandably so maybe wrongly so but maybe we just we're just so
triggered we're blind you know what as Imam Chef I said that you know when you're angry all you see is just bad things in in the person you're angry about but Allah bless them you know I yeah it's it's a journey but people are trying you know one of the things I I did learn that I was actually wrong about when I used to and I said this before I I feel that one of the things I learned was that these people who I used to criticize that they they that they in
their way are actually sincere they're not or at least many of them or most of them maybe you know maybe some people Allah but many of them are actually sincere in their way maybe to me it's you know it and and many of them are it is an expression of love but maybe to me or to you or to somebody else it might be misplaced love you know somebody might be oh your beard isn't one Fist and your beard isn't like this and what's wrong with your beard and it's not a full-faced beard and and they're not understanding this is the
Maliki method and there's different views and they're not understanding your beard isn't like this or you're not wearing hijab and they're coming down like the wrath of God on on you and and and this may trigger us and it may turn us in but fundamentally it is actually a love that they have for the Sunnah of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam that yeah the prophet had appeared in this way and that means the world to me and that then
in a misplaced way in a misengineered way they're projecting it not in the best of ways but in essence it was a love that they're going over and beyond that the prophet dressed like this or the prophet they think they find they found a Hadith so they think this is the prophet said this maybe there's discussions on the Hadith but to them in their way this is the words of oh my God I have to and so it is they they are coming from a place of Love they are coming from a place of devotion but it may be misplaced that's different in our
perspective it may be a misplaced look the people are on their journey and maybe they at some point will develop differently you know we're all we're all just you know troding along isn't it now as I said earlier on Bayern you know just Allah Allah bless everyone I mean and just really just shower us with this love I mean so that we uh so as to allow us to shower that love onto his creation
people take very good care of yourselves um I will speak to you soon inshallah now into the new year and those of you that want to reach out if you haven't already we did reach 35k subscribers on YouTube all right somebody said to me that they said why does your Channel grow so slowly
I said because I said because that must be a goodness or otherwise it wouldn't be happening [Laughter] Allah you know maybe on honestly I think these things are a blessing as well because we I I I we have to Be watchful Vigilant of our ego it does you know it gets fed along the way and we have to be careful and I think yeah
yeah it's I don't you know I don't want to be led by my ego and and many a times when people are led by the egos they're not even aware of it sometimes so yeah but it has gone now to that so that's awesome um you know it's just love from you guys so do like it subscribe share spread the love if you want to reach out to me Instagram is the place if you want to book one-to-one consultations you can do so on patreon.com forward slash Mal and
that's tier two on it so you can book that and yeah and that also allows you access to the server the Discord server mindscape but people have an awesome evening or day or morning wherever you are La bless you assalamu alai alaikum
