i believe it's an onomatopoeia that's kind of just developed so it's not that they so this word isn't a word that originally meant that word it didn't originally mean gratitude or praise or but it's through mindfulness that because what happens is in mindfulness and meditation if you take yourself to such a macarthur you there is a vibration in reality and just as the earth has a
vibration and there is a vibration of being and people [Music] experience it you know people of the path of consciousness and this is why they and many people of the mystics the islamic muslim mystics had said that when the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam before he would often go into the cave and he would go and he would fast for days and he would go there for days and why in a cave why fast and why in those conditions and this and this i do feel is unfortunately a part of islam that many
muslims i'm not saying purposely but they for some reason it's been left unattended to and ignored or but it's such a precious part of islam this mindfulness that the prophet would do this without fail he would and he would prepare his his mind and his soul and there would be uh sensory deprivation light being in the dark and and at times food deprivation in the sense of fasting and then there would be breathing
and this is the state in which the prophet he clears and grounds his soul you see and this is where many muslim mystics have said that when the prophet described entering the state of engaging with wahi in sahil bukhari he says it is like the ringing of a bell
like this and this is the the sound that people try to reflect in in many mindful practices that um kind of the humming of non-stop and this hum which some have argued is is it's like the frequency of of being this is if i also understand it correctly where they uh source hindu mystics developed the term om because it represented the sound like um so it's not actually and then they just use the word to mean
o praise like shukra or hamd that's how i understand the allahu alam but in islam leaving alone i mean how the hindu yogics did it but in islam many muslims that did focus on this um it's you know it's it's it's mesmerizing and it's wow and and i feel that it's such a if only more people did more research on this because this area of the prophet's life and the prophet's devotion and commitment and um and his his kind of mindfulness you can't deny it it's such a core part
of the prophet's life and it gets eclipsed by all the events that happen afterwards and understandably so because many people ain't too sure because at that time you know they weren't as much maybe with the prophet sallallahu alaihi but many people were i mean many people were his friends and and who are later companions as well so yeah but i feel this is something incredibly important and auring zeb's brother um from mughal india the the the mughal empire mughal emperor oring zip his brother
darashiko he also writes this in his resala that this this humming of what the uh prophet sallam uh would hear this kind of um which is described in bukhari he brings this up as well amongst many other mystics surprisingly in india quite a few did but it's a shame a lot of that indian muslim heritage is kind of i don't know if it's found but it's i mean it's i don't know if it's lost sorry but it's definitely
difficult to to access now because in india now unfortunately you know may allah make things easy and by india i mean the whole indian subcontinent islam is really only fashioned by the last 100 to 150 years so really it's just since the british raj since the british declare independence i mean they declared the british raj 1857.
since then islam whatever islam we have from india is pretty much from that time only and the rest is just that almost 1 000 years before it's just missing so you occasionally hear somebody say yes you know so even people will speak that you know like shall we allah the halloween so we have a few of his works but really a lot of because he's not in a vacuum i mean he's from this whole dilly school and where are the the least colors where are their works where are they things it's all unfortunate you see this is why i was saying earlier on
it's so important to be devoted because it's too easy to get derailed into denominational fighting sectarianism to it's too easy when a person gets into it they get locked and then so much time and energy goes in that that so much hate gets lost falls by the wayside and that's unfortunately what happened in the indo-pak scenario because of the infighting and the infighting and the infighting and now islam there is only of these three schools
you know there isn't really any other kind of flavor to islam and or you know arguably arguably that's a gross generalization but you get the gist right
