12 Dec 2019From the Mind of a Mufti Is al-wala wal-bara, loving and hating for the sake of Allah, part of Islam? The doctrine of loving and hating for the sake of God (al-wala wal-bara) is a Wahhabi invention spread with Gulf money and not part of the tradition. The Quranic bara'a means detachment of association, not hatred.
