**Topics:** Ahmadiyya and false messiahs; The second coming of Jesus; Responses to critics

**Summary (not a quotation; machine-made, unchecked):** Mufti Abu Layth says that the real answer to the Qadiani claim is that no messiah is coming, not a defence of the second coming.

**Checked position (checked by two independent reviews, not by the channel):** Mufti Abu Layth says that people like him do not believe in awaiting a messiah.

**Evidence, his words at 2:58:20:** “So people like me don't believe in the messiah uh complex and we don't believe in awaiting a messiah.” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6TqWuUumCg&t=10700s)

## Longer summary

Mufti Abu Layth opens his masala segment on a maulana who has criticised him, whose name is garbled in the captions and whom he mocks with nicknames. He describes a three-hour webinar on the finality of prophethood aimed at the Qadianis, which he says is fine in itself, since he too believes Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was a false messiah. Mufti says the maulana used his slot to argue for the second coming of Jesus and to call those who deny it disbelievers, which he finds ironic, because the Qadiani belief is built on a messiah complex: Ghulam Ahmad affirmed an awaited messiah and then claimed to be him. The true answer to the Qadianis, Mufti says, is that there is no messiah to come, as some scholars of India said and as Javed Ahmad Ghamidi, Adnan Ibrahim and he himself say.

## Transcript (machine tier, 2:53:59–3:00:20)

[2:53:58] All right, so he paid $2 for that question. He's doing it. Let's get to the masala, people. The masala. So, what is going on, people? What is going on? So our belawed our below let's get to on moment. All right.

[2:54:25] Our beloved chria Allah Allah Allah none other than people you know the one I've shown you before that you can't forget obviously [laughter] [gasps and sighs] Mr. One thing, do you think they're going to write this in his biography?

[2:54:55] [laughter] What is it? They're going to say that [laughter] He he arrived at this mam that he arrived at. I mean it could be fasting.

[2:55:16] God knows you know naughty naughty. So anyway, tonight our beloved Sheh Wza wsa makbul mak mak not the makbul from uh miraur that's makbul isn't it makbul mak right this one different makbul hamza wal mak chri sab aka humpty dumpty [laughter] so what's been going on right we have had Todd Sab was on a

[2:55:54] zoom webinar which was to do with the finality of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam. the finality of prophethood with the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Now this is really a it's the usual dio annual thing which is done against the kadanis.

[2:56:21] Okay, if you want to do it, fine. You know, basically it's to show why we believe the prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam was the final prophet and there can be no other prophets after him. [laughter] The dumb thing here is their founding father of the [laughter] molana actually his fatwa was they can be prophets after the pro [laughter]

[2:56:51] irony but anyway and which ironically the kadanis use against them but anyway look if that's fine you you know pimics You want to do a webinar, you want to speak about the finality of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam. I think fine you know you want to create an awareness that we don't believe in uh we believe he was the false messiah.

[2:57:16] Fine. You know I don't think you know I think that's absolutely fine. There's nothing wrong in that. I don't believe in I believe he was a false messiah. I'm happy to to have that dialogue and to kind of say that look so they have this webinar a bunch of different it's about 3 hours long a bunch of different molanas on the uh the only one I recognized was uh I recognized obviously Chri Humpty Dumpty but I recognized also uh Mui Abdul Rahman

[2:57:53] Manger was on Okay. Now, so they're talking about why the Kadani claims are wrong. But then Wb comes on. Now he comes on and he decides to speak about the the second coming of Jesus Christ. Why? Because somehow this is the argument. You know the funny thing is the Messiah complex. You know this is the irony.

[2:58:20] The whole khadani belief structure is built on the messiah complex. It's built on the coming the awaited coming of a messiah. So people like me don't believe in the messiah uh complex and we don't believe in awaiting a messiah. But somehow they feel attacking the kadanis is proving that there's going to be a second coming that we're awaiting.

[2:58:48] I this is so ironic. It's so dumb as a response to the Kadanis. But anyway, and Gulam Kadani actually affirmed [laughter] the coming of Christ. He actually said, "Of course, you're meant to be awaiting a Messiah." And then later on, he claimed he was that Messiah. So, if he was to deny the second coming of Jesus or deny a Messiah, his whole argument would collapse.

[2:59:16] So if anything the true answer to the let's say uh question is saying that there is no messiah to come which is what did and other scholars of India at the time did and which is what people today you know you've got javeed ahmed ramed you've got sheikh Adnan Ibraim you've got people like yours was truly uh we clearly say that there is no messiah to come.

[2:59:51] But anyway, he does this whole thing and his is focused his half an hour or so is focused on why there is a second coming and anybody who disagrees with this is ultimately a kafir. Okay. [laughter] Right. So if I just bring up let's just one moment

[3:00:19] that that the return of Isaam his descent from the heavens before the end of time is uh is narrated by Tawat is narrated by Tawat and uh you know this is also not to beat a dead horse but uh uh our acquaintance from uh our acquaintance from Birmingham is very fond of mentioning an opinion uh uh that yours truly The is a a third tier book of Maliki fatwa which basically survived and transmitted to us mainly through the bay
