## Longer summary

Asked what he thinks of 'simping', Mufti Abu Layth says he understands it to mean men who let women treat them as doormats, and urges people to dignify themselves. He says abuse is wrong and masculinity has nothing to do with hitting women, but he feels something distinctively manly is becoming rarer in the younger generation, which he calls effeminate, though it is their life to live. Mufti says men and women are instinctively drawn to primal masculinity and femininity, and that a narrowing of the difference leaves people vulnerable in a world that remains raw. He ends by saying he finds himself part of a dying breed with these views.

## Transcript (machine tier, 2:35:59–2:44:16)

[2:35:58] Mhm. What's going down people? Boycott French hairstyles. What the hell is that about? I don't know what that is. What is a French hairstyle? I don't even understand what the hell that means. Oh, somebody had asked about sing. What do I think about sing now? What do we understand by sing? I'm not sure if I understand the word the way some people understand it. I understand it to mean basically guys who are like doormats [laughter] to to girls.

[2:36:31] They're just like absolute pushovers and they is this is this are we on the same understanding or is there a different understanding to sing? you know, like a guy who's a s. That's how I understand that a person who is uh like like is voluntarily is treated like dirt [laughter] by women.

[2:36:58] Is that uh is that have I got that right? Is somebody sing equals shik toba? Yeah, exactly. blah blah dignify yourself people you know I feel that look [clears throat] it's weird because the younger generation [snorts] already has a very different perspective to people like me and especially people older than me I'm not saying every single person that's my generation but there are people see we had a different perspective on I suppose

[2:37:38] manly liness and femininity as well. And today people ain't really so much like that. They and it's quite normal for them to you know to certain things they feel maybe are toxic. Uh I mean there's some things that we all agree with that for example obviously abuse is wrong. Everybody agrees abuse is wrong.

[2:38:02] like hitting it doesn't mean I don't know why people equate this that oh being m oh that kind of masculinity means that you have to hit women or something like that I think that's just being being a knob I mean there's nothing why would somebody that's not what being manly is about but um but there is something distinctively manly that I feel is a a real it's becoming a rarer quality uh in the current younger generation and I feel that they are quite epheminite in

[2:38:41] many ways and I suppose they're comfortable with that. So I I I you know it's not it's their life to live you know it's not my life. I mean obviously I [laughter] it would be a disaster for me to I would be like an absolute disappointment [laughter] to me for to live like that. But you know it's their world I guess.

[2:39:06] It's their life. It's their they want to be like that. They, you know, there's a very So I suppose that's kind of weird. That isn't necessarily sing, but I suppose that's where the slope begins [laughter] and then [clears throat] it kind of just goes downhill where it reaches this sing. I that's what I assume. I don't know but I I feel that there is this um kind of emasculation uh uh this this this kind of

[2:39:41] um yeah this uh epheminization of men that you see a lot of men that are very Yeah. And it's seen almost negative to be that kind of to have that kind of primal uh masculinity. I don't but it's odd, you know, because I feel that deep down um women do love that primal masculinity just as deep down men or real men do love that primal femininity.

[2:40:19] they're kind of drawn to it that men when they see femininity they they find it very like irrationally attract like it's not something they reason but they are drawn to it and I feel that women are just the same with that very kind of manliness and the irony is sometimes you get these kind of feminists man-hating feminists who really hate on any men that they see as being macho or this alpha male they hate this alpha male character and they they can't they despise it and they insult it and they they do all of these things, demonize

[2:40:57] this character. And yet you'll find many of them are irresistibly drawn to that very same alpha male. And and it's you see they they can't run away from it. It's in their instincts. [laughter] Don't fight the feeling because it's instinctual. You see, it's not just humans. Look at primates. Look at animals.

[2:41:23] It's we are but ultimately creatures. We are animals, you know. And it's it's in our nature to be drawn to that. And and I feel that what's happening is a generation is being created where the the these are being washed down. So women are becoming less effeminite.

[2:41:46] Uh they're becoming more well women are becoming more masculine and men are becoming more effeminite. So there's kind of like a narrowing of this gender diversity and right people will say it's not gender but I mean to me it is gender right so uh there's a narrow narrowing of this and although it may work here you may get a world where there's majority of people are not men are not very masculine anymore but I feel on a global scale that puts them in a very handicapped position Because remember, the rest of the world

[2:42:24] is still just as raw [laughter] as mother nature. So you might just be in your cosmopolitan place, okay? But in the world, you know, you'll you'll be very vulnerable, I think. And I don't know, I just feel that because you see, with it comes a whole mindset, comes everything.

[2:42:49] So I don't know. I but each to their own. If people want to live like that, if people want to be the, you know, they want to as men not be very masculine and they feel that it's all about being very soft and [laughter] they want to go around just hugging trees and doing all of that, then I think fine, you know, gioto live and let live.

[2:43:20] But I just feel that it's it puts them in a very handicapped position because in society there will always be those people who will still live up to that raw lifestyle. There will still always be alpha males out there. So all you're doing is just demoting yourself [laughter] voluntarily. Yeah. But I I don't know.

[2:43:46] I I find myself, you know, with these views in as a I find these views to be part of a dying breed. Now in this part of the world, I find myself in an extreme minority that feel that way, which is surprising. [laughter] So mi is beauty an illusion.

[2:44:15] Can we find beauty? I don't think beauty is an illusion. Uh is beauty. Uh salt the I only support Muy and insult the rest of the men. [laughter] Karema, you're doing it. You're doing it. Look at that. Much love. Much love. These are the kind of supporters people.
