**Topics:** Prayer; The Maliki school

**Summary (not a quotation; machine-made, unchecked):** The Maliki school has two kinds of sujud al-sahw: one performed before the final salam and one performed after it.

## Longer summary

Mufti Abu Layth introduces the prostration of forgetfulness, saying forgetfulness touches the heart of being human and that in Arabic the name insan is said to come from forgetting. He describes what viewers may have seen an imam do in the mosque: a quick salam at the end, prostrations, then sitting back up to finish. He says the Maliki school has two types: one done before, or without, the salam, and one done after, or with, the salam, both to be explained shortly.
