**Question as asked:** What is your opinion of [name unclear in the captions]?

**Summary (not a quotation; machine-made, unchecked):** From what he has heard, he says the preacher is generally level-headed and balanced within the Salafi dawah, though he has not followed him closely.

## Longer summary

A chat question asks his opinion of a preacher whose name is garbled in the captions [?]. Mufti Abu Layth says he has not come across much of his material recently and jokes that he needs to produce more content. He says that, from what he has heard, the preacher is quite balanced within the Salafi dawah and generally level-headed, not one to rant about Salafism although he comes from that background. The last thing he remembers is the preacher posting, out of the blue, that giving zakat to a particular foundation he had advocated was haram, which made him wonder what politics lay behind it. He says he wishes him well and will have to follow up.
