**Topics:** Views on contemporary scholars

**Summary (not a quotation; machine-made, unchecked):** Mufti Abu Layth previews the clips he will respond to tonight, on ear piercing, non-Muslim friends, the Khawarij and drugs, and says a new project is coming soon.

## Longer summary

Mufti Abu Layth thanks the moderators for dealing with spam. He lists what he will put 'under the microscope' tonight: clips of Assim al-Hakeem, Abdul Rahman Hassan and Mufti Abdur-Rahman ibn Yusuf, and a preacher's whole session on drugs, cannabis and DMT, whose spoiler, he says, is that everything is haram. He invites super chats and says a project he calls 'the mindscape' [?], shown at a meetup, is coming soon, though it was not ready to launch tonight.
